Title: Ultrasabers reviews by St. Matthews Martial Arts
Post by: GoKempo Jedi on April 22, 2016, 10:04:57 PM
We want to say a big big thank you to the folks at Ultrasabers. I have undertaken the project of implementing a class. Which meant getting some of these bad boys, spending a bunch of time choreographing a fight. Filming that fight. And then cutting the video together. It was a really horrible task and I hated every single second of it (sarcasm font). We will only be using Ultrasabers with this class.

Since we have three reviews to post with more to come, I thought it might be easier to organize them this way. Three for now, many more to come.

Title: Initiate v3 (in green)

Of all the saber handles we received, we actually liked this one the best. It's got really good hand feel. Balances well. And it is beautiful.

Some additional background: We ordered grab bag handles and had no idea what to expect in terms of shape, size, weight, or otherwise. We trusted in the mighty wisdom of the Ultrasabers crew and man did they deliver. Cannot say enough about how excited I am to have these babies.

Title: Sentinel v4 (white blade with color discs)
Post by: GoKempo Jedi on April 22, 2016, 11:54:43 PM
We got a white blade Sentinel out of a grab bag saber order. It was an experiment of sorts to see how we felt about the color discs. All in all, we weren't disappointed. Most colors do not display very vibrantly with the color discs. Especially when side by side with the regular Ultrasabers products. So yeah, if you want to have a wide variety of colors and you can't afford an Emerald saber, this isn't the worst. But it wouldn't be my first choice while building a collection.

Title: Dark Standard Issue Battle Saber (Orange)
Post by: GoKempo Jedi on April 23, 2016, 12:00:03 AM
Love the orange color. Love the look of the handle. Of the three handles we've now experienced, this is our least favorite. We have absolutely no complaints about it (this was a grab bag order we had no preconceived expectations of the handles). But in terms of feel and comfort our favorite handle has been the Initiate. We've made a little video for May the 4th that I'm excited to share with you guys.

Ultrasabers are a great product. I bet you're having a blast. This is quite the addictive hobby. Your collection will grow quickly.

Very nice sabers you got there. Confortable for dueling and spinning, I have a Sentinel V4 and enjoying it. Point for you...
