For the Summer Raffle of 2016 we increased the total number of winners from 95 to 115!  Once again, no one else is out here giving away 100+ sabers in a raffle :)  Here at Ultrasabers, we do this for YOU guys and we do it pretty often!  And we LOVE it and we're going to keep on doing it :-)  ENJOY!

Holy cow, first prize!  I'm in total shock- no pun intended, since my prize will be held up with my order.  After a very rotten past few weeks with illnesses and having to suddenly replace my car, this was the kind of news I really needed to lift my spirits.

I'm surprised that so many people didn't win, and even more surprised to know I won! Knowing my luck, fourth prize is still a huge win for me!  :D I can't wait to see what my grab bag saber will be. holy smokes!!! :o  I'm speechless...  Just beyond thrilled right now!  SO pumped, but most of all I'm feeling so grateful to Ultra Sabers :).  This is a pretty amazing thing, I've certainly never been a part of anything like it before, and there just aren't enough words of thanks that I could say.  I can't wait to show you guys my entry and (wow!  I still can't even believe I'm saying this!) prize!

I think the dark side reared its ugly head for a bit cuz I got the sudden urge of anger. But, while taking my morning peepee, I thought, My saber is pretty fn awesome, something I never thought I'd buy. I don't collect anything. It was a treat to myself. Another saber would only mean I'd have to buy another one for my other son...CHA-CHING!! Money saved!!

Fourth prize!  In the twelve days since ordering my first saber, I came to realize that it would be much better to start off with two.  That makes winning the 4th place grab bag saber such a thrill.  It will see many a battle and will ultimately reach the hands of many as a loaner.

Holy moly, I won a Third Prize saber!!  I'm so excited about this, I never win anything!  I'm glad this is where that luck finally changed though haha.

Now, I think I understand this;  I won a Random Hilt with Li-Ion setup, that means no sound right?  That's fine, I'm just hoping someone could help confirm whether I'm right or wrong.

Regardless, this is such an awesome thing that Ultra Sabers does for their customers.  I've never seen a company of any kind that is continually doing great things for those that buy their product.  Thank you so much for being so great, guys! 

Correct- that means you won a Stunt saber (no sound) with a rechargeable Li-Ion power setup versus one with a 4 AAA battery pack.  What you receive may or may not have other upgraded features (such as a latching AV type switch).  That's totally at Random based on whatever 3rd place prize they happen to grab and stuff in your box at shipment.  :)

This actually makes me kinda mad. Everyone was here anxious for the results while meeting the great saber community, and these two emerald winners probably don't even know they won.

I'm kind of getting a bad vibe from this thread.

There seems to be a certain sense of entitlement from some members.

UltraSabers does these raffles for us.  They've given away over 300 lightsabers in 3 months.  That's just awesome.

If you were lucky enough to win one, great.  If not, you still get a spectacular, battle-ready saber.

If you entered the raffle solely so you'd win a prize, you're misguided IMO.

And all members start at zero posts.

I saw Zap's post, and he was ecstatic. :)

I am not complaining as I said before, I realized that being angry does nothing and I didn't win. I just thought it was odd that both winners had zero posts is all. I haven't won in either raffles I've entered but I've come to grips with it already

I think posting stuff is more than half the fun.. trying to finagle around swear words, perverse comments.... kinda fun

I'm not trying to spark outrage as it doesn't state you need to post to win, but it's more interesting to see that we will never know what they get because they only joined to try and win but don't want to use the forum it appears. And I like to know who beat me out for the prizes lol

I get that, and I used to get pretty annoyed about that myself.

We could potentially never see the Emerald or Grand prize sabers - that still burns a little, but, as you stated, the rules are clear: Join the forum; enter the raffle.  At no point does it say that the member needs to be active.

I just enjoy being with the members who are active then, and see their awesome sabers.

If the people who won the prizes want to join in, great!  If not, c'est la vie. O_o

Firstly I would like to thank Emory for doing these raffles.

I was lucky enough to be a first prize winner which I was not expecting since the last time I won anything was probably a rigged 'lucky dip' at the primary school summer fete back when Pontius was still a Pilate.

I will be sure to post up a photo for the forum when it arrives.

Guys, the prizes this time have almost all gone to members without a lot of posts - looking through the list, I got to Lord Canterbuty (congrats on that, by the way!) before I recognised much of anyone.

It happens. Everyone entering has the exact same chance as anyone else, which is exactly how it should be. The first raffle I entered, I won the grand prize. I had a relative handful of posts, but I so enjoyed the forum that I stuck around... for more than 3 years now!

The first spring raffle almost seemed like a forum greatest hits compilation, in comparison - lots of folks who've been here for a long time and/or posted lots (and also lots who're less active!).

Over a hundred people are getting fantastic free lightsabres. That's something to be celebrated. If you entered and didn't win anything, you're still getting a fantastic lightsabre, which is worth celebrating too :)

I'm not a frequent poster nor a long time member (this was a re-do of my first ever purchase with US), but rest assured, I'll be back with photos of my first prize as soon as my prize arrives with my backordered shock.  :):)

There are other types of promotions.  Between raffles there was a limited offer for a free Initiate stunt saber for an amount similar to the raffle entry amount.

I've entered in three raffles, and come out with only what I entered with.  No prizes for me at present.  But I have a plan for at least two more raffles.  If my luck is consistent, I will still not win anything, but I will be able to justify the chance of winning as the reasoning for spending the money on gifts.  Because win or lose, I still have gifts for people.

Well the wait begins! I am so excited to receive not only my raffle entry and prize, but I just splurged on a Flamberge v2 for my birthday. I have so much saber awesomeness heading my way that I don't know what to do! I will be posting pics as well as a review video, can't wait to see everyone else's also.

100 -- 105? -- people just got something very cool.  Go them!  Many more are getting awesome sabers; I would expect for quite a few, it's their first saber.  How cool is that?

So again - while some people did receive their Entries early for whatever reason - US policy is to hold the Raffle orders until after the Raffle and ship the Prize with the Entry in the same box.

As we know - most of the US tech employees were on the road working back to back Conventions, so they are a little behind on shipping Raffle entries/prizes.

Nothing here to panic over and start contacting them yet.

Unless your Entry is currently on Backorder, your Entry & Prize (if you won) will probably be shipped within the next 48 hours.  I actually just got my shipping notice a couple hours ago.

If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

I just received shipping notification for my first raffle entry (and the one which was a 2nd place winner) earlier today!

I am so excited for my second stunt saber purchase, and incredibly excited to be given an Obsidian saber courtesy of the generous folks at Ultrasabers! It's gonna be a good week.

I won a 1st place prize and my entry for the raffle was a grab bag and the Prophecy(which is on back order), so how much longer do you guys think I should wait before asking on the wait for shipping?

I recently checked on the Prophecy's status myself. It looks like it could be a WHILE before you see that shipping notification. If anything, you might ask for an update on the Prophecy's upcoming availability. That will give you a better idea of when you should expect to see the shipping notice. Hope this helps!

I'm so excited to have gotten the heads up my first saber & one of the 2nd place prize sabers ships on Monday. Big thanks to US for the awesome raffle & the work to get all the orders out. After hearing about 4 cons in 2 weeks...I'm guessing there is a pick-up truck somewhere with a bed full of empty energy drink cans.

2 and a half weeks later and it's shipped!!!

This is my first saber and I'm so excited. I'm giving my first prize to my girlfriend for her birthday

Got a shipping notification a couple hours ago. An Emerald Manticore and "the mystery saber" are coming my way!

I won 3rd prize, and Emory allowed me to pay for some modifications, basically Emerald and v4 sound chip. I got a FedEx notification that it is arriving on my day off. WooT!

Be patient.

Given how busy the guys at US have been, would you rather have a rushed saber put together in a hurry just to get it to you a day or two quicker, and have it put together with a fault.... or would you rather wait and KNOW that it had been lovingly put together with all the care  (and quality control) in the world.

I know that I would rather wait and have it right, than be impatiently demanding and have it wrong.

Also judging by just the winning entry order numbers, they've have around 3,000 orders to fill from just that period of time, plus orders from before the raffle and those placed after the raffle.   


That is a lot of lightsabers.

It looks like I shall be donating my raffle win to the Jedi Chefs as I was able to share this weekend just passed with them, and able to honour a friend recently lost.

I shall be Chemi-Etching a few words onto it.

Neil will be greatly missed by the entire Starfury family. He has become one with the Force and is now even more powerful than we can possibly imagine, as we will carry his infectious smile and generous spirit with us always.

Well, with the prophecy ok back-order and looking as how it may be much longer than a week to arrive I have contacted US and almost immediately I received a response telling me that I can indeed pay for shipping for my items that are already ready. Once I sent my payment I got another email from Emory saying that it will take 1-2 business days for them to shop and and lo and behold just a mere 40 minutes later I receive my shipping notice. Damn, US doesn't play around. Such great service.

So I am new to the saber forum and relatively new to the saber community. I was lucky enough to win third place and I will have a picture of the beauties I have collected so far. My new flamberge v2 and raffle prize just arrived so I look forward to sharing it here 😀

My order arrived today and I'll have to get some pictures up soon.  I ordered an Archon 3.1 and somehow was supremely lucky to win a first prize saber, which turned out to be a Guardian.  Since the Archon is inspired by Obi-Wan's Episode III/IV lightsaber and the Guardian from his Episode I lightsaber, I've taken to calling my order the Kenobi lightsaber action pack.  It came with a R/B emerald driver, so it's looking like guardian blue will be the way to go.  Sith lords beware, soon I shall become more powerful than you can possible imagine.

My order just arrived today and my prize ended up being far more perfect than I ever could have imagined! My entry got put into my parents closet as it is a birthday present for me, but I was able to get a couple of photographs of it before it went away so I'll share those.

Are we just posting our photos and films here or has someone made a new topic for showing off prizes and entries? It was mentioned but I could not find such a topic.

I got my order. SO EXCITED. My entry saber is the apprentice Le V4 with fire orange blade and Av switch and the obsidian sound board. and my first prize saber is the Mantis with red blade and Av switch and Obsidian sound board. First 2 sabers and they are the best thing ever. I added a leather strap to the apprentice since taking the picture and I gave my girlfriend the mantis.

I personally prefer my apprentice because of how I'm personalizing it and the size.

Here is the leather wrap I did. Just something simple to add character. Weathered the leather with sandpaper and shoe polish.

Photo of my Manticore CE (RGBW 4 channel, with Obsidian V4) and the Monarch first place prize which arrived with an RGBW 4 channel Emerald board and Obsidian V3 sound. (I can't show it lit as it seems that one of the batteries arrived dead and it will not accept a charge, but I have ordered some replacements and will post an update once I have them!)

I received the notification for the prize win on the same day that I was running tech at an event where we were also remembering the sad loss of Neil, one of the Jedi Chefs.

Neil was such a great friend to all who knew him - and all who needed a friendly face at the conventions when they turned up knowing nobody there! Karma being what it is this is not my prize; it belongs to the Jedi Chefs and will be going to them once it has had a small amount of customisation work.

Okies, replacement batteries have arrived, so a photo of the powered Monarch saber is up.

I have been playing around with different ideas for the customisation, so you might notice that the hilt now has leather bands (stitched not glued) around it to accent it and give better grip. This is not final as I'll be doing some etching onto it before I make up my mind about the leather - the leather I have is lovely quality so I can invert it to leave a suede finish, but that is something I need to discuss with the Jedi Chefs to see what they wish! Enjoy!
