This is my favorite part of the raffles, I can't wait to see what everybody won!

It's going to be a while, for me.  Since I'm out of town, I decided to order an out-of-stock Dark Prophecy as my entry saber.  Can't wait to see everyone else's, though.

Ya I think it may be a while for me too.....though the Manticores DID just come back into stock.....perhaps....hmm....

I ordered a nickel manticore ce on the 4th, and it wasn't on backorder. I also won a grab bag stunt from the raffle, so I guess I'm mostly waiting on that and they should be good to ship. Can't wait til they're here.

Well, my saber was picked up by FedEx this morning, so I'm hoping I'll have it by Wednesday or Thursday -- I'm so excited!

Here are the specs on my entry saber:
Emerald Dark War Glaive, 4-channel RGBA
Defaults set to DVA/pulse to Bane's Heart
Li-ion w/recharge port
Non-illuminated black A/V switch

And I will have a 2nd place raffle prize to keep it company! This will be my first Obsidian saber, so I am seriously stoked. There will be many pics to follow once this box has landed.

Got the email yesterday. Hopefully it will arrive by the weekend, but I'm guessing probably mid next week-ish.

Not one to stop a trend, here are the specs on my entry:

Yeah - you'll love it.  This one looks awesome in any color.

Ooooh, that is gorgeous! Yes, I'm really looking forward to playing with the Emerald driver with an amber LED -- I've read that some really beautiful purples can be created with the amber diode (and, well, I love me some purple).  :D

I tend to put it in "Indigo" a bunch . . . 100% Blue and just nudge the Red enough to get a purpleish edge to it.

Got my shipping notice sunday that was gonna be shipping monday :).  Shipped monday right on time :).  Usually only takes a couple days and its on my doorstep from that point... but i just checked tracking this morning and showing delay at the customs clearance in nearby windsor :(.  That's only 45 mins away from me lol!  I wanna run there and just jack it from them lol.  Customs hates me lol :(.  I could tell you some stories lol but this is not time or place.  anyway, i hope to be posting very soon!!  who knows, maybe I'm just panicking for nothing, it could get released any time for all i know... wish me luck!

Okay wishing you luck.  I always get a day's delay at Richmond receiving/sorting center out of Vancouver.  Can't wait to see what you got.   :D

Thanks, yeah I get that too D7 :). Only curious thing is the phrasing of the status- not the usual mesg of processing- there's an angry red DELAY mesg lol.  Not sweating it tho I got the call to give me heads up about what the duty is, so that's all normal procedure.  It's only 45 mins away so i'm feeling pretty good about it!  Keep you posted :).   EXCITING!!

That war glaive emitter is a beauty ain't it? I myself should be getting my Manticore ce tomorrow as well as my grab bag. I'm so excited, I've dreamed about getting an ultrasaber since last October and it's almost here. I can hardly contain myself.

You guys, I'm SO thrilled!  Just blown away by these sabers :).  As you might be able to tell by the emoticons outnumbering the words in this post hahaha!  They're gorgeous... Just breathtaking :).  My order was a dark sentinel with v4 sound, 32" heavy, Windows, in AB with silver FoC, and a yellow illuminated black AV.  My raffle prize... This STUNNING, and yet BEASTLY, Mantis CE with sound!!

Anyone want to take a stab at naming this colour lol?!  It's GORGEOUS!  The sentinel behind is AB for a reference- is that SRD?!

That's a very accurate showing of the colour- exactly what you see in person.  It's intense :).  Like a glacial blue.  Can't wait to poke my nose inside these a little and check them out more, I can see what the led is in the mantis and also curious what the sound set up is etc :).  Everybody already knows about my developing addiction to sentinels lol, but I'm in love with this mantis!  I remember thinking it looked cool when I was checking it out on the site- but I must not have been paying close enough attention to the specs and details.  This thing is so detailed and so beastly it's insane!!  I'll save it for the review, but man, holding this in your hand and seeing it in person you realize there's just no way pics can do it justice :).   I'm so unbelievably thrilled, and most of all, thankful to UltraSabers!!!!   There just aren't the words to express my gratitude.  Everybody mark your callendars lol, for the first time in history something has been amazing enough to live up to Darth Arlo's impossible standards hahaha!  For real though he got all excited when I came up with the box and was opening lol!  He was all up in it I had to keep shewing him back just to get in there lol.

Awesome shares.  :D  Boy, that two piece stand really comes in handy with the Mantis.  I don't think it would work as well with a one piece stand because of the shape of the hilt.

It's been a long and eventful day, but behold! I have fresh sabers, and they are glorious.

After an interesting trek to the FedEx hub and some miscommunication with a few of their employees at the help desk, I acquired my package and unboxed the dang things in my car (packing peanuts did nothing to deter me in my mission). I was thrilled to find myself to be the recipient of a prize of an Obsidian Consular in CG w/silver FoC. It's simply beautiful, and feels great in the hand (and the color is perfect -- I'm so happy to have a proper Jedi saber in my repertoire).

Of course, my entry order did not fall short of my expectations either: an Emerald Dark War Glaive in DVA/Bane's Heart. It's the perfect Sithy counterpoint to the Consular.

Sweet!!  Blazars and DarkOpossum, aweome picks on the entries!  Another Consular!!  Man, US wasn't shy about giving out the high end hilts in the second place tier  :o :)!!!  If I'm right that's two consulars and my mantis ce that we've seen so far- higher end hilts :).  Exciting news for all you second place winners out there counting the days till delivery!  Really cool to get that in CG as well.  Interesting side note- if you look at Quigon's saber in the movie art, like the marketing/ promotional stuff (posters for film release etc.), his saber's blade actually looks markedly different than most of the other characters. It actually shows a super distinct core- pretty much looks exactly like a heavy grade blade that he's got in there lol, it's sweet. 

Blazars, welcome to the sentinel club buddy lol!  The LE looks sweet :).  I love this hilt, looks and feel.  And an AV switch at that, not too shabby!  Looks awesome on there, compliments the gold, that's one classy sentinel. 

Great looking sabers, DarkOpossum and Blazars.  The VA to DVA seems like it would be sweet on that war glaive, and I love the Archon V3.1 in AS.  Plus, those are some fantastic prizes.  :)

Thedraque- so god to see another sentinel fan :). Nice entry- and WOW, another AMAZING second prize!!  To me that's nickel plated;  no doubt- gorgeous ! 

Im thinking its nickel too, cause the sentinel is silver and the manticore looks different. So amazing. Im blown away.

OK - so I know this is off-topic, but since RevanReborn asked, and I do love to show it off . . .  ;D

That's the USS Missouri.  My Grandfather was on it in WWII.

It's 8.5 feet long and about 150 pounds.  Gramps carved the hull out of a single block of wood and carved all the other large components as well.  After he passed away, my Dad finished some of the fine details.

We got it shipped down here a year & a half ago and had the Bar custom built to display it.

It looks like the Sentinels are the hot favorite for grab bag giveaways from the raffle.  :D

Yup definitely a nickle plated Manticore for sure and both emitter and pommel are mhs so you can unscrew them and put on other parts if you want =] But why replace the emitter for? :P Probably one of the best emitters out there next to the Overlord emitter though

Im a newbie to ultrasabers, I think i confused "emitter" with the "quick disconnect MLS " feature. The "emitter" is just the unscrewable piece of metal at the top of the hilt? Cause i noticed that andi wouldnt want to change it. I thought "emitter" was the LED bulb cylinder thing inside of the hilt

Right - the Emitter is the metal area at the top that functions as your blade holder.

The quick disconnect refers to the internal part that houses your LED Module.  You can have connectors put on that for the Manticore so it's easy to swap out and change colors on a non-Emerald equipped saber.

Wait - 2 channel Emerald War Glaive with an Illuminated AV Switch?

You might want to hook that bad boy up to a Lappy & play with the Emerald driver.

Me thinks that's a 4 channel you got w/ 3 colors and 1 channel dedicated to the AV switch.

That or US just dropped v2.0 of the Emerald board that allows 2 colors AND an Illuminated AV switch.

(And curiously - the old 2 channel option did just disappear from the site . . .)

Yeah you know what when I first turned it on it was Purple/Pink fade to orange fade to blue with white flash on clash. US really took care of me. I love this saber because I can change the emitter and I cannot wait to order some and mess around with the color more.

Wel the thing says it's the Emerald Driver. I'll inspect it more when I go home. It might just be the colors that it was set to before it was sent to me. Is probably a 4-channel or something.

4 channel w/ Red, Green & Blue in Channels 1-3 and then channel 4 dedicated to the AV switch.

Normally - channel 4 would be either White or Amber.  If you want an Illuminated AV switch - one of the channels has to be dedicated to lighting the switch.

for the record, I have also seen an Emerald setup that was said to be a 2 channel, but actually was a 4 channel driver with only 2 used (Red+Green), and NO wires at all connected to Blue or the 4th channel . . .

This did happen with some (all?) of the first place prizes from last raffle too. The description for first pace was 2 channel emerald, but from what I saw from posts they were 4 channel.

Now for my 4th place raffle prize! I got a dark sentinel with a fire orange 36" blade and a silver switch.

Neil was such a great friend to all who knew him - and all who needed a friendly face at the conventions when they knew nobody! Karma being what it is this is not my prize; it belongs to the Jedi Chefs and will be going to them once it has had a small amount of customisation work.

Hi Revan, thank you for the kind comments. Neil used to have a few 'quotes' he used to use frequently so one or two of these will be picked and etched into the hilt in the larger spaces. The idea right now is that the Jedi Chefs will take it in turns to bring the blade to the various conventions so Neil's spirit will be there even though he cannot.

I am planning to stitch leather bands around the hilt between, above, and below the grip rings on the hilt. I have a leather skirt I bought on eBay as a donor garment for the leatherwork.

I might have to mail Emory to clarify the best way to strip out the internals in preparation for the etching though! The hilt seems to be a single piece construction so I guess the switch is bonded in, and there doesn't appear to be a set screw locking in the LED module - I don't want to mess it up so best to get the full information before starting!

So as you saw in the pics, my Dark Sentinel entry had an illuminated AV switch.

Had because - I already changed it. 

Usually, I don't like illuminated switches on Sabers (just not my personal taste) but at the last second on this Order, I decided it would be a good idea because . . . reasons? 

I really don't know why, but i got one - and it just didn't take.

So I went instead with a Black anodized, domed, non-illuminated AV switch instead.

It's subtle, but I prefer the look of the rounded switches to the flat ones and I really like the way the actuator feels when you push it.  Just has a cooler - ignition, feel to it.    8)

Much happier now!  Has a purer "stealth" look to it now as well, without the red ring.








PS - The Renegade Small Pommel is officially the new UltraSabers "Little Black Dress"; it's perfect for any occasion!

Firstly I would like to say thank you to all the US team for the great work they do, this raffle was what pushed me to buy my first saber and I must say ultrasabers are top quality!

My entry saber was the Scorpion, even though i'm a Jedi at heart, the damn thing looks so slick, I went for one without a claw and Arctic Blue in colour, best decision I could have made! I was so pumped when the box arrived and I got to see what my Second Place prize was, I had been hoping for a red blade and to my luck that's what I received, a dangerous looking Bane in Blazing Red! Looks so neat!

Sweet score there, Kingsworm.  The Bane is an awesome saber and the Scorpion looks wicked.  I don't think anyone would mistake you for a Sith with that blade color.  ;)

An amazing assortment of sabers showcased so far.  I went with some Obi-Wan inspiration in ordering an Archon 3.1 with Obsidian sound in AB.  Then I was somehow lucky enough to win a first prize saber, which turned out to the Guardian.  It has a 2 channel R/B Emerald driver pulsing between VA & BH and Obsidian v3 sound.  The Guardian is a beautifully detailed saber with plenty of weight to it if you like a hilt with some heft.

Because I ended up with two Obi-Wan inspired lightsabers, I've taken to calling this order the Kenobi action pack.  From student to master, the saber circle is now complete.  It seems to be the will of the Force that I should work on an Obi-Wan cosplay in the future.

The Guardian is a light side hilt that looks sneaky good as a Dark Side hilt in Blazing Red or Dark Violet Amethyst.

I won an Apprentice LE v4 light blue, pictured 2nd from left, in the latest raffle. I purchased a grab bag a few months ago and got an Aeon LE v4 blue (left). Then I purchased an Initiate v4 green and Dark Initiate v4 red (right two) both with Obsidian v4 for the kids and won the Apprentice. Now the entire family will have lightsabers when we give them for their birthdays in July. Colors don't show up well on my iphone since they sabers are so bright. I'm having fun tweaking the settings on the Initiates. I have the thresholds low so they make sounds easier for the kids. I didn't like the stock settings so I wasn't so excited at first. But after changing the settings to something that actually activates nicely on motion I want to put sound in the other two.

Yeah, the Apprentice and Sentinel are essentially the same design, except the Sentinel is the length of an Aeon and the Apprentice is the Initiate length.

Okies, replacement batteries have arrived, so a photo of the Monarch saber is up.

I have been playing around with different ideas for the customisation, so you might notice that the hilt now has leather bands (stitched not glued) around it to accent it and give better grip. This is not final as I'll be doing some etching onto it before I make up my mind about the leather - the leather I have (from a skirt bought for 99p on eBay) is lovely quality so I can invert it to leave a suede finish, but that is something I need to discuss with the Jedi Chefs to see what they wish!

Nice pics Jed! From the glow to the side you can def see the different hue that tri-AB has to it. The red on the Mantis looks rich and of course that beautiful red AV on the Overlord.

Nice sabers there Jed.  The Mantis is the last saber I would want to own, even more so than the Monarch.  But... that red version is just so shmexy !  Now you have ruined regular AB for the rest of us.  Want to hear more about how that Overlord handles.  I have the OL emitter on a Shock and really like the weight and feel.  Can no longer keep up with the collection of sabers you currently own.   point   8)

Hey LC.  This saber looks really good.  I have a few that don't have illuminated av switches as it seems to look nicer for that particular look and windows can be enough.  Draws attention to the blade color.  I need some of those Renegade small pommels as they sure are that little black dress but a crimson red dress is smoking hot too.   ;)    point  8)

Well, if you don't mind, I'll give you the in depth answer.
When I first got into Star Wars I loved the red blade because red was my favorite color. I always saw myself using a red blade but as a good guy. When Episode I came out the double blade immediately became my favorite. It was a long time ago but I believe I chose to have a blue blade instead of a second red blade to make it more apparent that I was among the ranks of the heros and not the villains. (I was pleased to discover later on that one Jedi wielded a crimson blade for a short while and I felt it perfectly supported my position that Jedi could use red blades if they so chose.) After that I felt that the red blue combination became my signature. For complicated reasons that I won't explain here, I stopped calling myself a Jedi wielding a lightsaber and adopted the character of a member of The Order of the Wolf carrying a starblade. As the world has been created I learned that white starblades are the most effective, in character, and felt I should obtain and use a white blade. However, I did not want to give up my signature red/blue either. The crosspiece style hilt gave me that option for the first time. Thus, I opted to have a white primary blade and red and blue quinions. One day when I have a little money, I would like to get a second matching crosspiece and then I can have a double blade again, if I so choose.

That's a lovely background story White Knight.  The silver Renegade suits your character perfectly.  As a Shadow Grey I have a GB blade with BR FoC.  Have another point.   8)

Here goes, as promised... My Entry and 1st Prize sabers!
The short story: A Manticore and a Consular!

My Entry was a Manticore CE Emerald 4 RGBW with ObsidianV4, with a crazy Blade Color/Pulse/FoC configuration:

• Blade LED Color: Sunrider's Destiny for Emerald
• Pulse Mode: Pulse to Arctic Blue
• Flash on Clash:Flash Silver for Emerald

It achieved what I was looking for, a blade changing between the SD Green and  the Artic Blue.
I nearly had a fit and a stroke all combined when I unboxed the Manticore and turned it on and it died on my hands after 1 minute or so... loosing LED color by color until it went completely dark and dead... After I sat down and calmed, I've figured that US probably didn't had time to put a full charge on the sabers to keep the shipping rate high, so I went and fully charged the saber and now the Manticore it's alive and in full Technicolor!

My 1st Prize was a Consular with Obsidian Sound & 2-channel Emerald Driver, in Consular Green.
Due to the US Sabers that I already have, I has dreaming about a Consular or a... Graflex. I've got my wish.
US was kind and great to mimic in the Consular an equivalent blade colors configuration to my Manticore: the blade is CS and flashes to Blue.

I love my Manticore with that new Pommel, and I also think the consular improved greatly.

Those are beautiful sabers and that's some cool simple customization there, Fanaticus.  :)

It is a Mantis SE Pommel on the Manticore SE... and a Manticore SE High Pommel on the Consular...
Meaning to try a Renegade SE Small Pommel on the Manticore, but they are not available separately..

Ok, so it's about time that I share some photos.  I made my first UltraSabers order on May 20th.  Since the 2016 Summer Raffle was underway, I figured, what do I have to lose.  My initial order was for 3 sabers; 2 Initiates in Guardian Blue & Consular Green for my buddy's two sons (up until this point they would wail on each other with plastic store sabers) and 1 for me to fend them off.  I ordered an Emerald Overlord in Blazing Red (only to battle the two Padawans, I'm a light-side guy) with Silver FoC.  Not realizing that UltraSabers holds the orders until after the Raffle, I put it out of my mind...until the winners were announced.  Imagine my surprise when I saw that I won one of the Grand Prizes!  I was blown away!  And being reasonably content with an awesome Overlord that I could change blade color and sounds at will, I had no idea what to select for my prize.  So I started glancing at the sabers that I thought would look great as a double saber and settled on the Catalyst.  But alas, it was out of stock by the time I sent in my request.  Emory let me know that the Dark Catalyst was available, so I said that was fine.  Then BOOM, it was out of stock.  So, finally, I went for the Manticore.  I have got to admit, it does look pretty sweet, once it was in my hands.  I was unsure of the color to chose, since my Emerald Overlord gave me unlimited options, but I ended up with Violet Amethyst, which looks great in the Manticore emitter.  So there you have it, I am unsure how my first experience with UltraSabers could have been any better.  And this weekend I get to brighten two young Padawans days with their first UltraSabers, as well...

If i could magically personify any evil in this world and then slice it to death with a lightsaber- what would it be: war, disease, poverty, greed, hate?  Nope... autocorrect.  every time lol ;).  wow, some amazing prizes and entries all around!!  system critical- congrats on the grand prize buddy!!  great choice on the staff, i really like how the vented coupler looks with the emitter windows on the manticores.  what an amazing haul- and great pics too btw!!  They look SWEET.   

Question for fellow raffle winners. I won a 1st prize on a backordered Raven. It just shipped, but the package is only 3 pounds.
I know the prizes ship with the order so was this the case with anyone else?

That's a bit of a poser.  Normally sabers weigh on average around 2lbs - or, at least that's what I've heard.  

A first prize would be a slightly heavier saber I'd think, due to the Emerald board.

3 pounds can be two lightsabers easy. The only time my package reached 5lbs was when I ordered my Flamberge plus an initiate and an apprentice.

Mine was just 5lbs, and it was two sabers.  There was an extra pommel and emitter in there too, amongst other things. ;)

That's what made me think 2lbs was about right for an average.  But you're quite right. 

Two sabers can easily be three lbs. :)

My package with the Manticore Emerald order and the 1st prize Consular (and one additional pommel) was stated as 6lbs, or 2.720kgs...

I feel that 3lbs package a bit on the light side... But I'm rooting for you, for you to receive your 2 sabers...

There needs to be a raffle ongoing at the time.  Right now US is having its "Summer Strikes Back" sale, but they hold an inordinate number of raffles each year.

When the next one comes along, make a purchase and enter your forum name.  That's your "ballot". :)

They give out absolutely AMAZING prizes, and tons of them, so it's worth waiting for. :)

My raffle entry was the Raven. It was back-ordered at the time.
This is my favorite hilt, I may eventually make it a staff.
It's TRI Burning red with quick connects. I like the tri colors, they are fuller. I just wish they had flash on clash, or at the very least pulse.
I plan on getting TRI artic blue if it ever goes back on sale.

I love the Raven's design. So many things right about it. I'm glad I went with the shorter claws and simple pommel and no covertec
A warning for anyone with smaller hands, it's long and beefy. Not a problem for me. But, because of the claws it doesn't spin very well.
It's great for display and cosplay. I wouldn't spin or battle with it.

The big reveal was the 1st place prize. It's a Emerald Mantis CE without claws.
I'm going to be 100% honest. This is my absolute least favorite hilt. I even had a nightmare that this was the one I was going to get.
I don't want to sound ungrateful but I hate curved hilts about as much as I hate the prequels.

Let's talk about the good. I've never had an Emerald saber. After playing around with the software I learned it was actually a 4 channel and not 2 like the contest said.
So many options.
I love LOVE Emerald option, I would get this on every saber if I could.
The silver flash on clash is really sick.
Sadly, despite being fully upgraded on the inside, the button is the standard simple black.
Also on the Mantis, I tried it with an other guy's pointed pommel, It kind of works.

X - the Mantis will grow on you!  It is in fact my very next saber on my wish list after very careful consideration of its size, weight and unorthodox wielding appearance.  What a fabulous prize!

Nice sabers.  Your Raven certainly does look wicked, and yes, Emerald drivers are way fun to play with...lol

It's too bad that you don't like the Mantis - it's not my favourite hilt either, but look at it as having knowledge of yet another US saber, that many others do not.  That's sort of the way I look at my prize sabers anyway.  I might not ever have ordered them, but I own them now. :)

My winning entry and prize for the second spring got up to six pounds, but that also included an extra heavy grade blade and the prize was a Crimson Scorpion, which is pretty weighty.

Well, if I got a Mantis in a raffle, I would play around with it for a while to get the feel for it.  Then, to be perfectly frank, I would probably strip it down and build something a little more to my liking with it.  I don't have anything against a curved saber, and I love the aesthetics of the component parts of the Mantis, but I've never been overly thrilled by the saber as it ships.

But I would give it a try, and if I didn't have my mind changed by that, I would make something truly awesome and epic out of the pieces.  Particularly since it already has the Emerald innards.

Ya, I'm not that skilled in the force. I wish I could put the Emerald innards into my raven now, but that would be a waste of a perfectly good saber.
I love the emitter and the pommel on the Mantis, just hate the curve. Doesn't feel right holding it.
I just need to find it a new owner

My raffle entry was a raven emerald obsidian v4 with ss emitter and ss pommel and my 3rd place prize is dark initiative LE v4 with consular green and it is a li-on with resistor setup with no sound.

I alwas think dark toned hilts needs something bright like green or yellow to be truely looking good. Red for black hilts.....i dont know orange would work better i think which is why if i were a sith i would be out fo palce one with a clawed black hilt with a green or yellow blade :P

My entry and prize just arrived.

So, my entry saber was a Dark Prophecy V4, with Obsidian V4, black non-illuminated AV switch, in Bane's Heart, with a 36" heavy grade blade and a Consular pommel.

My second place prize turns out to be a Dark Menace with V3 sound, black AV switch with red illumination (this is my first ever illuminated switch), emitter windows with black underlay, all red decorative buttons on it, a 32" ultraedge midgrade blade, in BR.  This is now, counting my Emerald Dark Menace staff and the DM saber I turned into my pint-sized "covert" saber, my fourth Dark Menace...and it's sweet.  I do love the Menaces, they're just such nicely detailed hilts.

Yes, yes my saber collection is very dark, very menacing.  Certainly more than I intended, at first.  I intended just to get the nicest saber staff I could manage, from the beginning.  But the inspiration for the shorty hit me, so there was that.  And then, this latest, was not a matter of me choosing it, but I do like what the Force has supplied me with.

Wow, guys!  Amazing sabers!  that raven really does look wicked in green for sure, i agree :).  Very cool to have the Li ion set up for the stunt too, that's awesome.

My shipment just arrived today (Shock LE has been on back order for a few months)!!

My entry was a Violet amethyst Shock LE with v4 sound and a Blue illuminated switch.  My prize was an Aeon v4 in Blazing Red.  I love both of these sabers, my wife got a grab bag Dominix v4, and after holding it I was considering getting an Aeon for myself. Now I've got one!
