Alright, so I'm just mega bored right now, and though of doing this.  I'm not even certain a thread like this doesn't already exist.

I have seen a bunch of "franken-staffs", but usually just in a general setting.  Here's a place to display just those I guess.

I own six sabers - all different hilts.  That's...erm...let's see...a lot of possible combinations. :P

I guess I'll post one pic per day until I'm done.

I didn't get the adjustable coupler just right, but notice the difference between the two red illuminated switches (DC has LITE sound).

I left the Initiate blade on for the heck of it.

I made a similar thread named abominations. I currently have 4 hilts in different combinations over there so I will put latest thing I made in here. Be warned this thing is probably not from this or that galaxy and from a different universe altogether :P

For comparsion reasons TV behind The Monster is 65 inch one.

Oh and if you have 6 different hilts it means you can do 15 different combinations.

Like I said, I didn't even know if a thread like this existed.  I don't have a staff, and yesterday was actually the first time that I put two hilts together. :P

Wow!  A Dark Glaive & a Raven!  That looks pretty mean indeed!

Well I have 4 hilts with 6 combinations so a fifth hilt would add 4 more and a sixth one five more combinations....... or just use good old combination formula (n=hilt number n*(n-1)/2) :P And no offense taken i saw there was a saberstaff thread after I made mine too but it was hidden deep in limbo :P

I want to get me a few couplers now. I have a few ideas :P My Overlord and Archon together, my Dominix V4 LE and Sentinel V4 together, Bellicose and Shock together, then Dark Liberator and Dominix V4 LE together :P

The two opposite prophecies make a great looking saber staff.

I'm in!  Apprentice V4 HP and Initiate V4 BR . . . quite pretty actually.  Also a nice side x side comparison of the V4's.

I'm not even going to try naming this.

How's the balance on the staff with these two youngling sabers? I would assume the balance point would be right in the middle...

Even handling it for the short time I did, I felt out if my element as a staff is pretty foreign to me. However I did note it felt quite neutral esp with the 24" blades - which felt plenty long enough in this config.

That thing is an enormous beast, mitigated only by the fact that the blades sit quite deep into the hilt, as measured from the emitter.  I wonder how it would measure, overall, if I put a pair of 32" blades in there instead of the 36" ones I have.

This may be me trying to teach my grandma to suck eggs lol. But I would recommend anyone using couplers quite regularly to spray a little wd-40(or similar lubricant) on a rag and wipe a little directly on to the threads of the coupler. This way you get just enough lubrication to halt any nasty screeching sounds & avoid the possibility of a dreaded crossthreading incident. But you don't get lubricant everywhere especially on your saber grip.
Someone else has probably meantioned this but thought I'd have my 2 pennies worth.

Have you ever made some Blue/Green Staff with naked aluminium Hilt ??

Well, the closest I came was my Aeon/Prophecy combo.  Both of those hilts are contrasted though - if that's what you meant.

I just think about colors .... Blue/silver/green should be nice ... especially if the hilt are different :)

i think i am going to design and make a device for making a staff with my two sabers ... can be fun ;)

My saberstaff, made out of an Aeon LE v2 in GB and a Dark Initiate v2 in SY. The Aeon has a 24 inch heavy grade blade and the Dark Initiate has a 16 inch ultra edge heavy grade blade. It is surprisingly balanced for being asymmetrical, makes spinning much easier. It also happened by coincidence that the colors are my school colors, blue and yellow  :P

I initially had different names for them, but as I was messing around and admiring the colors I decided to rename them Thunder and Lightning. Thunder is the longer blue one, while Lightning is the shorter yellow one (moves faster as a result of its size).

I was quite impressed at how the Emerald stood up to the Tri-AS's sunlike brightness.
Don't think I will attempt spinning this particular combination though. The Graflex is almost feather light in comparison to the Guardian.

I still find Blazing Red on such a Jedi looking saber rather bizarre. I am certainly not complaining about it though, as it was a great grab bag score :)
