Title: Initiate v2 (why a vented pommel?) mod.
Post by: Calculon on September 21, 2016, 05:37:06 AM
Got many things checked off of the to-do list for would-be smithies/installers, working on this and another hilt at about the same time. Not sure what Im happy about more; having the time to do this or the fact that its done. I realized afterwards that the chassis that fits will also work with just about any other card I own! Anyways... just about one of the best one handed sabers I have used. The saber in the very back which belongs to a friend, which also now has the "super stunt electronics" in it, is definitely in my top 3 sabers for its outer diameter.

Very LOUD so adjust your volume. Thanks for the time and support! MTFBWY

Dude, you're a friggin' genius with this stuff.  A V2 with sound, pulse and flash on clash.  That's just brilliant.  Plus, not only is it a V2, it's the tiny one.  Truly amazing.

+1 dude - for awesome!

I couldn't have said it better. :D

Thank you for the points and support gang! When I get a chance I'll find out those fonts for you.

The fonts are some combination of Hero and Fates or Rogue.

Wow.I mean just wow. Wish I was competent with internals & stuff. I know how small those are as I have one.
Makes my puny external cosmetics look decidedly pedestrian. Well deserved point to you sir.

Gonna need some strength training for my legs and some serious cardio to make this work.

Thanks for stopping by!

Awesome Calculon!

You're quite simply a genius where wiring is concerned. :)

I'm thinking that would make an excellent shoto, or off-hand saber...

+1 dude.

Thank you LR! I would like to try and use this saber again with the necessary... exuberance. Definitely someone with the right skill set and athleticism can take advantage of this saber. I dont think Im there yet.

I made some kind of attempt last week and... the mind is willing, the body is...

This was a bit of a milestone for me. My first recharge port (recessed) install. I've mounted on to a reaper using a box, internally in a chassis, built a chassis for a recharge port, this... Only thing left is to wire around a speaker and into a pommel. It's bugging the hell outta me too that the build doesnt have a recharge port. Can't share that build here though. PLI and speaker LED; lining them up in my crosshairs. (how do you choose the right resistor for the speaker LED!?)

Thanks for checking it out. Ultrasabers, a version of this hilt with the ID being the same from pommel to switch; would be great for a DIY starter kit.
