Title: First try at a Sith Post by: Drac on October 08, 2016, 01:37:57 AM Hello all,
My wife just put together my first Sith outfit. Still will need some final tweaking but I hope looks decent - (http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q636/kiltedcandyman/IMG_0308_zpstnhk2tvc.jpg) (http://s1167.photobucket.com/user/kiltedcandyman/media/IMG_0308_zpstnhk2tvc.jpg.html) (http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q636/kiltedcandyman/IMG_0311_zpsj7851wus.jpg) (http://s1167.photobucket.com/user/kiltedcandyman/media/IMG_0311_zpsj7851wus.jpg.html) Feedback is welcomed and encouraged, Drac Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Darth Renov on October 08, 2016, 02:28:04 AM Looks great! The only thing I'd change is the t-shirt. I usually use either a turtleneck or V neck shirt depending on weather. Everything else looks fantastic.
Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: scifidude79 on October 08, 2016, 03:22:18 AM It looks fantastic. I like the gray and black. It's always nice to see a Sith in something other than just straight black. The belt is really nice.
Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Obese Wan Kenobese on October 08, 2016, 03:39:28 AM Very nice. With the design, technically you're dressed as more of a gray Jedi. But, I don't deal in absolutes.

In the SWTOR era, Sith are seen wearing more grays, reds and purples, as well as a variety of other colors, as opposed to the straight black that was seen in the movies. Though, even Count Dooku, who was a Sith, wore brown.
Besides, Sith technically have no rules. ;) Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Obese Wan Kenobese on October 08, 2016, 04:03:23 AM It depends on the era. Though, even Count Dooku, who was a Sith, wore brown. Besides, Sith technically have no rules. ;) That's what I meant. Tunics, tabards and an obi is kinda the Jedi traditional garb. Sith would rebel against that and be like, "What eva! I do what I want!" We were just talking about this in another thread. Someone asked if Jedi can wear black boots. Anakin had black boots. For the purpose of the film, it signified his dark temptations. But the characters don't know that. Dooku used to be a Jedi. Dark Jedi often wear the black and gray colors in this Jedi style. These things are a Jedi tradition. The real Sith(tendril face kind) have a different style. I was hoping someone had tackled that, when I first saw this thread. A small few online have tried. Still very nice. Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: scifidude79 on October 08, 2016, 04:08:37 AM Ah, I see your point. Maybe a former Jedi who went Sith and just likes that style of clothing. ;)
Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Rapine on October 08, 2016, 10:08:07 AM Very nice indeed Drac!
I really like the black/grey contrast you have there. I tend to agree though - lose the t-shirt - and potentially the smile...lol Everything else is spot on. Nicely done. :) +1 Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Drac on October 08, 2016, 12:56:14 PM Thanks all. The tee was just for trying on as there is going to be some tweaking for fit.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_apparel http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_apparel Thanks. I always wondered why Obi Wan was hiding is robes of a Jedi Master. While they were appropriate for the desert one the Star Wars world embraced that as Jedi robes it seemed a bet "really?" The inner tunic reminds me of someone else as well but can't really place it
Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Drac on October 08, 2016, 03:15:24 PM Going to tighten up the outfit a bit. One thing I was thinking was leg wraps up to the knees. Also a couple belt pouches. The pounces, belt and boots are Ren gear from my kilts.
Also when you folks head to a Con with your saber do you leave the blade at home? Thanks, Drac Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: scifidude79 on October 08, 2016, 03:18:58 PM A lot of people seem to carry their sabers with blades in them at cons. Personally, I would probably just leave my blade at home and use one of my hilts with Covertec wheels and my clip. That's why I paid extra for that stuff. ;)
Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Rapine on October 08, 2016, 03:40:34 PM Also when you folks head to a Con with your saber do you leave the blade at home? Thanks, Drac I make it a point to have mine attached at cons. Makes people gasp when they ask for a pic, and you turn it on. ;D Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Drac on October 08, 2016, 04:04:03 PM I make it a point to have mine attached at cons. Makes people gasp when they ask for a pic, and you turn it on. ;D Doubt I'll turn that many heads to worry about photo ops ;D Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Drac on October 08, 2016, 04:10:23 PM Hmm, maybe if I add my kilt

:D Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Drac on October 08, 2016, 04:16:39 PM Maybe if you take the beer with you... :D Not a problem, that's root beer... Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: For Tyeth on October 08, 2016, 04:16:57 PM The Empire has C2-B5, Drac has R2-D-Brew! That's a really neat droid.
The costume looks great as well btw! point incoming. Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: scifidude79 on October 08, 2016, 04:18:55 PM Not a problem, that's root beer... It's all good. ;D That explains why it's so dark. ;) Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: DarthScrub on October 08, 2016, 04:24:18 PM Very nice sith costume, Drac! I hope you don't mind, but I took notice that your avatar became disproportional because of the forum's default avatar size so I went ahead and edited the photo you provided and made you a new avatar!

When giving points I assume "dark" isn't bad? Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: DarthScrub on October 08, 2016, 04:39:43 PM I prefer them, but points aren't necessary 8) I really like making avatars for people lol
Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Drac on October 08, 2016, 05:34:18 PM Hoping to be a bit more active on the forums. My sabers were early presents so I have been keeping my hands off for the most part until after my b-day.

Most people don't naturally look menacing enough to be convincing Sith. You look particularly jolly. Add some dark side corruption make-up. Pale face paint, blue veins, scary facial tats work as well.
Or at least do not make that beaming expression when being photographed. Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Obese Wan Kenobese on October 08, 2016, 08:23:31 PM I like the grey tabards off set from the dark tunic, and then matching the inner tunic again. A bit of an illusion that calls attention to the layers there.
Sinister smile tip: Let one corner of your mouth smile a bit sharper and angle your head down, so you're brow sits low. When you're looking at someone with confidence and asymmetry, it denotes a hint of insanity and threat. Han Solo has the asymmetry and confidence, but he angles his head to the side and raises his shoulders like, "Come on. It's me." It's confident yet impromptu and nonchalant. You'll want to stair direct and head on at your prey. Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Drac on October 08, 2016, 08:47:42 PM My usual hint to all aspiring Sith: do something to your face! I am now to be known as Darth Krampus, Dark lord of Christmas. :D Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Zren Tobas on October 08, 2016, 09:38:58 PM I always leave my blades on in case I need to defend myself or anyone wants pictures done :P Can't not have a blade on your saber for pictures and stuff am I right. Its allowed so, unless you go to a weirdo convention that isn't much fun or something :P
Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Drac on October 08, 2016, 11:52:15 PM Ok tried the kilt. Let's just say failed and move on :-X
Drac Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: Zren Tobas on October 09, 2016, 04:26:41 AM Actually if you don't mind to kinda part with it and mod it, can always dye it black and make a continuation of the inner tunic bottom section, like make it longated as I call it?
Title: Re: First try at a Sith Post by: SaberoftheJedi on October 11, 2016, 08:13:31 AM I love it Drac! Also, who doesn't want a Dark Lord of Christmas? ;) ;D I particularly like the belt. The layered looks is really nice also! I agree with Rina Ascura about the face paint, even if it's very mild :)
Either way, looks sick! What con are you attending? Also, yeah, I'd keep the blade in but maybe bring a bag to detach it if need be.
