I do not know if you like this kind of thing, and they may have already been used for something else, but I think they fit the saber's looks, even if it is going to have Arctic Blue for its color.

That looks really good. :) Much better than I could ever do. Great idea with the grooves. Brilliant. Perhaps an additional screw somewhere on the friction fitted section, rather than the dope... As far as painting it, I could say what I'd do, but then it'd be my vision...lol I do like the hilt to somewhat matches the blade though, so the fact that it will be in AB, maybe some silver or even blue paint, and some sort of leather wrap?
