Title: TFA Graflex sound font
Post by: Jediseth on March 12, 2017, 04:32:26 PM
This is a new sound font I have been working on. I know there are other TFA ones out there so I have tried to put on different Sounds that are not currently available on the forum.  I have made from sounds taken from the movie. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Just listened to all the files, sounds really clean. I'll have to test it on my saber sometime and let you know what I think.

The Imperial March addition is definitely a cool touch. Overall, the font is a nice addition to the many Graflex fonts. Once I throw an Obsidian in my Graflex 2.0, I'll be sure to make this one of my fonts.

Crap the Imperial March got shuffled in there on accident.  Here it is without that It's not suppose to be on there. That's not even in TFA.  Here is the link without it.  Maybe someone will want it I don't know. It's too big to put in with the other sounds on your board.

I uploaded it to my Lost Gray today.

The sounds are nice and clear for sure - however the main hum has the tail end of an impact sound in it and makes the hum sound like it's looping vs. a continuous idle.  Must've just missed it during editing, lol.

The ignition, swing, and clash sounds don't sweep into the hum as well as the R2 font.  There's a noticeable click/interruption that happens - this is what i've battled before and haven't found the patience to master :P

The power off and lock-up - saweeet.

Kudos for the ambition to be creative, Jediseth.

Removing clicks is a very easy step in making a clean sound font ;)

I fixed the link It took me a few tries, but the hum no longer has a click in it.  I put an updated version here.

Updated again. With the help of projectno253 the hum in this Graflex sound font has been greatly improved.  Maybe down the road it will be perfect.  Now with the new board coming out I'm going to  have to learn to make new sounds and add them.

This is awesome. However, I did add my own sound for the Force Effect on the Diamond Controller. Point.

Can anyone point me to where I could convert the font to run on a Diamond controller?

You shouldn't need to convert this font for a Diamond controller. You might have to rename a few files but you shouldn't need to convert anything.
