Title: Covertec wheel
Post by: Megatronus095 on May 09, 2017, 12:58:28 AM
I've not ordered my 1st saber yet but will very soon. My question is this : Will it cost anything to just have a spot made for a covertec wheel ? So I can order one at a later date and install it myself. Thanks in advance .

If your saber comes with a covertec then you can just take it off if you want. If it doesn't have a wheel and you just want a drilled and taped hole it's ten bucks in acquisition charges and then tell them in the comment field at checkout. I think it costs 15 dollars for the covertec so I think you should just get it.

Yep I get you. If you want it it's worth getting if you don't then go without. You will pay most the money just having them tap a hole.

Yeah I was thinking it would be $10 for them to drill a hole. I just wanted to make sure. Lol . Thanks for your help Jediseth.

If you're on the fence, get one for sure.  It's $10 for the installation, $4 for the wheel, for a total of $14.  The requisition fee for "exta" holes is $10, so you're literally paying $10 more either way, so adding an extra $4 isn't all that much.  And, believe me, you don't want to be thinking later you should've gotten one.  I've been down that road.  ::)
