Title: Looking for suggestions Post by: Darth Rook on May 20, 2017, 10:57:49 PM Just received a Dark Sentinel LE V4 in a grab bag. Looking for ideas on how to give it a more individual look. Any customization ideas welcome. Blade is fire orange.

And, with it being a Dark Sentinel, you could also try sanding parts to give it a different look as you remove the black. Ordering a different pommel for it can also change up the look. For example, I used the Dark Warglaive pommel on my Dark Initiate V4 LE twins Title: Re: Looking for suggestions Post by: Dauntless Seven on May 21, 2017, 06:25:23 PM Hi. My first suggestion is to spend some time in this very section that you have posted in to take a view of our fellow members customizations. These include Sentinels. Personally, I find the LE silver or gold grooves to be challenging but some easier/more common custom suggestions could include the 0-rings, weathering using sand paper, hilt wrap and building a shroud.
One of our members... By the way there is going to be an upcoming saber customization friendly challenge starting soon/now. Please check it out. :) http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=35000.0 Title: Re: Looking for suggestions Post by: Cody Trainwalker 92 on May 26, 2017, 12:01:35 AM I have some model weathering kit's for model trains, gives a rust look to any metal's, I also have 2 whole boxes of paint and dye, I wonder if I get a Grab Bag Aeon V3 LE that I could create a custom aged look to it, like its been in oregon weather for 40 plus years. Have it your way like BK used to say.
Title: Re: Looking for suggestions Post by: Cody Trainwalker 92 on May 26, 2017, 12:14:52 AM I like using common household dye or weathering on some model trains and scenery on a layout (just me) but Not sure if it would work for a saber.

Pick young ones still learning to catch. 😁 Title: Re: Looking for suggestions Post by: Corwyn VonBeck on May 26, 2017, 02:07:00 PM Rent one of those small cement mixers, throw in a few rocks and the hilt, and let it roll for a few hours!

My dad's an engineer, he's on construction sites all day. So, I can just send one with him. ;) Title: Re: Looking for suggestions Post by: Isola815 on May 26, 2017, 02:12:21 PM I'll give it some "light weathering" for you ;)

Title: Re: Looking for suggestions Post by: Corwyn VonBeck on May 26, 2017, 02:19:09 PM Or for something a little more subtle, you could try TR-77477's acid weathering technique...
I'd give you a point for that one SFD, only I like the symetry of the 1001 ;) Title: Re: Looking for suggestions Post by: Jediseth on May 26, 2017, 02:40:18 PM Or for something a little more subtle, you could try TR-77477's acid weathering technique...
