Hello out there!

My name is Justin, and I just made my Saberforum account a few minutes ago, in the hopes of being able to review the sabers that I have currently bought and receive feedback from the lightsaber community. I currently own two sabers: A Dark War Glaive with Obsidian LITE sound (Violet Amethyst blade), and just yesterday, I received my Apprentice LE v4 with the Obsidian v4 soundboard (Sentinel Yellow blade). I have to say, while I do like the color of my newest one, the "Sentinel Yellow" looks a lot more like "Sentinel Orange" than yellow; I have seen and heard reviewers say that Ultrasabers haven't quite yet perfected the yellow coloration, and instead they currently use a combo of red and greed LEDs (I believe) to attempt the yellow color. Weird thing is, on camera, it looks closer to yellow, but to your bare eyeballs, it looks like a Fanta-ish orange. Is that just me, or does anyone else have that issue? I was hoping for more of a lemony yellow; still looks good though! And that sound...dear god, that SOUND! #TeamBlackstar

Anywho, more about me, in case anyone is interested; I just turned 28 last December (the 28th, to be exact! Nope, not a coincidence), and currently work as a buyer/receiver for a Government Contractor. Hobbies include music, video games, and pretty much anything Star Wars (hence why I'm even here!).

Hope to meet lotsa new faces here, and look forward to putting out some lightsaber reviews soon! I actually have a different YouTube channel that I used to upload a lot on in the past, but that was years ago, and I've never used my phone to record for YouTube before, so please excuse the definitely-going-to-be-sloppy filmography.

PS: Seriously though, why must my Sentinel Yellow blade be orange to the eyes? Bah!

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you have a couple great sabers! I don't have a SY so I can't comment on the eye test.

My own SY Ravens look more yellow than orange, but I have an FO and an Amber to compare to.

I do realize there are other, better threads to talk about color on, but I just HAD to get that off my chest, lol...forgiveth me, please.

There is another hilt that I have had my eye on for ages now...might I even say it was the very first hilt I ever wanted, but chose against due to lack of covertec wheel compatibility (which I don't even care so much about at this stage...go figure, right?) and that hilt is the Dark Monarch...I really want to get that in Tri-Cree Blazing Red, since I have yet to acquire a Tri-Cree LED. How I wish Violet Amethyst could have been Tri-Cree, but alas, i ask for too much, I know. Once I see all those colors I get all excited and ahead of myself. LOL  ;D

welcome. and don't feel bad. we all get that itch here. and by all means look around, plenty here can inspire you from costumes and custom work all the way up to sparring partners and groups. and if you can't find answers to questions in your search, by all means ask. plenty of friendly people will to help here.

Sentinel Yellow is a colour mix done from scratch each time, and mixed by eyeball - there's no set parameters for it, just "Yeah, that's yellow" so there's definitely some variance in there. I've seen a very lemon yellow, and my own SY blade is a deeper golden yellow, so it's one you take your chances on.

Welcome. On my diamond saber the default yellow font (Blackstar) has a slight orange tint to it. Especially closer toward the tip but I never really noticed until I looked for it.

Welcome to the forum! I actually JUST watched the SWTOR DLC trailer for KOTFE [I know I'm late], and the twin brothers owning yellow blades was really cool, especially since I'm a twin. Also, the Blackstar font is soooooo cool! If you ever want a custom avatar made, shoot me a PM :]

Welcome. I don't have a SY saber yet, so I can't compare it to anything. :'(  Music is a hobby of mine as well. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Hey Justin idk I have a fire orange blade ,it's just simply upside schwartz all the way ,,,,,,,,mine on during the day or to the eye it's a whitish orange,on camera she lights up and looks amazingly like a fires orange glow, perfect in my dark sentinal le ,or should I say my schwartzenal,ha
