Since I was requested to post these here is some pictures of my Dorianian. I did not need to make any major changes to it since it already has great lines and personality. Just a few changes here and there to make it mine.

I used rust-olium Bright Copper paint, along with a light clear.

Nice for sure. Master Koon would be proud =] I'm going to leave mine as is whenever I can get around to getting me one

I had no idea that the pommel came apart. I thought you just took the thing and used tape and painted really carefully, disassembling seems much easier.

 Thank you everybody, it just needed a little touch here and there. The yellow blade makes it stand out. 

Great work TR-77477, just the right amount to make it stand out. I like it a lot.

And I know a lot of folks round here like Superhero movies so I wonder if anyone considered getting the Azure Dorinian and painting white accents onto the pommel fins (and a band painted around it) to form the illusion of a letter "A" to make a Captain America themed hilt?

that looks really cool. I wonder what those bronze accents would look like on a dark dorinian...

 When removing them, The fins can be very snug. I suggest using two pieces of wood in order not to damage them.  Like a mallet in a piece of Dowell. That way the wood gives way before the metal will.

With a orange blade, I would like to see.

Just a quick question, how did you remove the fins from the pommel? I've unscrewed the tip off the pommel, but don't really want to use pliers to remove the fins, as I don't want to damage the fins. Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

I was afraid of the same thing. I did not use any metal to remove the fins, I used a old piece of wood dowel and a wood piece as a mallet. The wood is softer then the aluminum and should deform before damaging the fins.  Learned that trick from my gramps.

Very cool, kind of gives it a Luke ROTJ vibe!
