Title: Thought for combat basket hilt... Post by: Illyiss on June 20, 2019, 09:15:07 PM Anyone ever considered an SCA basket hilt? Designed to protect the fingers and hands from hard rattan, swung at least as hard as anything most saber duelists could muster? Most are sized to fit up to a 1.5 inch rattan, so could work for many US hilts, and there are a number of ways to protect the hilt finish (plasti-dip, tape, rubber strips, shrink tube, et al). Thoughts?
