According to Lord Rapine (one of the Moderators) avatars have a height limit of 200pixels but he didn't mention a width limit. Remember that you have to remove the "s" from HTTPS// in the URL you are linking to as the forum can't read image links from secure sites (delete the "s" so you have hhtp// then the rest of the link and it should work).
