Title: SHORTEST POSSIBLE Saber Hilt??? Post by: MVHI JEDI on March 11, 2020, 07:54:29 PM Does anyone know what would be the ABSOLUTE SHORTEST POSSIBLE configuration of MHS parts for a sound-capable saber?
I'm pretty sure the Emporer's Hand pommel is the shortest pommel, what about the hilt body and emitter? Which are shortest? I want to put an Obsidian V4 into it, so that's the only other requirement. THANKS! Title: Re: SHORTEST POSSIBLE Saber Hilt??? Post by: Darth Logos on March 11, 2020, 08:24:25 PM These were made by an old member.

Title: Re: SHORTEST POSSIBLE Saber Hilt??? Post by: MVHI JEDI on March 11, 2020, 09:19:04 PM Let me please clarify: which STOCK ULTRASABERS MHS PARTS will allow me to create the shortest possible saber WITH SOUND?
Title: Re: SHORTEST POSSIBLE Saber Hilt??? Post by: Sakura No Kaze on March 11, 2020, 11:50:32 PM Well, the shortest possible body I could find is 7.25", and the shortest possible emitter I could find is 2.1", so with a basic flat pommel, that works out to be about 9.65".
Or you could get an Initiate v3, which is 9.5" long. There may be shorter bodies available, but that's what I could find listed on the main site. Title: Re: SHORTEST POSSIBLE Saber Hilt??? Post by: Zren Tobas on March 12, 2020, 12:08:46 AM Initiate V3, maybe an extension just to give a bit more room for the electronics, and either Grand Master pommel, its on the short side as well and has some character to the design too

Post by: Darth Logos on March 12, 2020, 04:14:36 PM Let me please clarify: which STOCK ULTRASABERS MHS PARTS will allow me to create the shortest possible saber WITH SOUND? Ini V2s are out because they aren't MHS. I assume that MHS implies you're implying that you want an MHS emitter? If this is the case, then I recommend a Menace. It only 9.75" from emitter to pommel. If not, then an Ini V3 or higher, or an Apprentice V4 or higher will be the same length. Title: Re: SHORTEST POSSIBLE Saber Hilt??? Post by: DarthSyronimus on March 12, 2020, 06:31:10 PM FWIW, Tai Chi Chuan Wijchen just posted a spreadsheet / PDF of all the stock sabers and their specs. It includes length...

Post by: chalion on March 14, 2020, 11:41:59 AM Let me please clarify: which STOCK ULTRASABERS MHS PARTS will allow me to create the shortest possible saber WITH SOUND? That short hilt in the above post IS standard and can be made with 1/2 of a reaper hilt, without needing to cut anything. (https://i.imgur.com/M2tmFxj.jpg) The line indicates the lower section of the hilt that can be removed without tools. It's 5 inches long and has MHS compatible threads at each end. A 1 inch emitter and a flush pommel makes the thing only 6 inches long and 1-1/2 inches in diameter. EDIT: Just looked at mine and the lower section has a screw plug that would need to be removed or a male to female adapter added to allow an emitter to be attached. But the crazy thing is, the upper section is only 3-1/2 inches in length, but would have a switch hole in the middle. (https://i.imgur.com/aKl1gbP.png) |
