Title: How heavy should i duel with my obsidian, and are there any negative effects over time from heavy du Post by: Goldleader on December 31, 2011, 11:19:26 PM Having just recieved my beautiful saber the bellicose, i havent dueled with it yet but anyone with input or experience, please i think you could lend me your knowledge. i know the obsidian is very protected and firm in my hilt, however, and i am predominantly a heavy grade dueler. i am not doubting the construction of the saber, but as much as it was, i want to be careful. how does it hold up after time and time again? can it stand up to that without bad side effects?

However, I will say this - Ultrasabers proudly makes "combat ready" sabers, ones that are designed to withstand the rigors of dueling. Coming from somebody who has dueled a whole lot with my Luke ROTJ, which has Obsidian, these things will certainly hold up. The hilts are aircraft grade aluminum and the soundboard itself is encased in black epoxy for maximum protection, so I am sure it will be up to the challenge ;)
