Hello everyone and sadly this isn't going to be one of my cheery posts as I have just learned that James Earl Jones, Darth Vader's voice...the legend of acting has passed away today at the age of 93.
I don't need to tell you what he gave to us fans and this community in general so I just thank him from the bottom of my heart for what he gave me, and hopefully you all can post comments and thoughts in this topic.

To all of Mr Jones' family, friends and fans my condolences and thoughts are with you,
May the Force embrace him forever....

I'd just heard...

I still remember first hearing his voice as Vader in Episode IV and how powerful a performance it was, eliciting awe and amazement.

I believe that I can speak for the fandom that Mr. Jones will be sadly missed.  As FT so eloquently put: condolences to his family, friends, and fans; may he live on in the Force as well as our hearts and minds...

Thanks both of you for commenting. At least we still have the recordings and memories of Mr Jones' performances to look back on in the future. All the way from Dr Strangelove through to Roots and Mufasa...and onto space and beyond.
And as my way of giving my thanks I reworked an old build - this is my new saber named "The Lord Master - Redemption"...

We watched ANH (original theatrical cut >:D) this weekend. Zannah showed little to no interest......until she saw a red light saber.

I like this version of Vader's iconic saber...hmm, maybe UltraSabers can offer this color scheme as an alternative  ;)

Having requested for FT's incredible work to accompany my own stories I know how awesome his visuals are...yet, it never ceases to amaze me the collages that he creates, in this case, the actors who helped to bring Darth Vader to life.

Hi Logos and Zannah, as I mentioned this topic kinda got buried so it was easily missed....but I'm glad to hear that your acolyte sat up and took notice when we saw the red blade (I can't believe I'm gonna say this but I suppose we do need the Sith in this world too - you know for balance?  ;D).
