The Liberator series just appeals to me and I've seen quite a few come in grab bags lately so I thought it was time to show them off. I almost wrapped mine like yours, but at the last second changed my mind. I bought about half a pound of scrap leather of different shades and colors so who knows what I'll do next. Is the blade on yours sentinel yellow, or one of the oranges? I do like the darker threads over the lighter wrap on yours. it's a nice contrast. And to be honest, i haven't seen very many people go crazy over the new colored hilts... i hypothesize that they have an over abundance in these hilts since maybe they arnt super popular right now and are clearing them out. the three or four people including myself, as i have been observing, have all received colored liberators for their grab bags. It has its problems (blade socket, stripped retention screw, etc.) but I've fixed it up. If I were going to have a real lightsaber I would want my hilt to be EXACTLY like the Liberator! It's an incredible saber! It just needs a deeper and tighter blade socket lol. The V3 seems much better though. I might pick myself up a Dark one someday! Probably in SRD as my first sound saber!
I will always love my V2 though. I don't use it for dueling anymore and I've found it to be much better with a 24" blade. It fits my fighting style PERFECTLY! Oh, man, I wish it was more duel-worthy! It was worth it. That is definitely a beautiful saber Vos. RLYHYPERGUY mentioned he prefers a 24" blade in his, as do I. You'd think that, wouldn't you, but if my numbers are right - pending my actual work to do an install, the Joe Jedi/616 board should fit. It's going to be some formidable cram-fu, but I think it can be done. Then my only problem will be getting my pommel drilled out to make some space for my speaker. I know the 616 board has more than enough room to slide right in, and chances are that I can figure out something with batteries. I doubt I'll have any real issues. I am still working on getting my Liberator v2 to fit completely. It's possible, and I will do it, but it's definitely tough. I have to figure out which wires can be made shorter, and where I can save a bit of room here and there... Soon, though, I may have the only Liberator v2 with sound. ;)

I'd considered that, but the bore of the saber is JUST wide enough to accommodate the board in the center of the saber.
