We did some post-anodize machining on the Dark Prophecy to provide some nice contrast.  We also polished the newly uncovered silver to really make it pop.  Check it out:

This looks like a streamlined and actually useable version of Vader's lightsaber! Incredible!

I think I'm gonna get one of these. I'm getting a shock for my primary saber since it's also got sound, and I'll be picking up a grab bag saber just to see what I get out of it. But I'd like a prophecy just to be the showcase of my new collection.

I just can't decide what color the blade should be :/

Any chance this one will come with an RGB option at some point?

Darth is my boy, but, I'd so much rather have a LE Prophecy than his unholdable hilt. :-/

Okay, I just gotta chime in on that. Mind you, I LOVE the Prophecy. :) Before I got my Ultrasabers, I did my share of time with FX's and some Plastics. My mainstays were ALWAYS either Anakin or Vader. The trick to holding and fighting with a saber that has that box in the middle of it, if your style allows, is to get your middle two fingers gripped on the clamp (that raised band around the middle) and hook your thumb over the top of the box. The thumb gives you grip and control, and it actually helps for stability through certain spins. :) This also leaves your end fingers gripping above and below the raised band on the hilt, giving further grip. You also still have enough room to go two-handed by putting the second hand down on the grips. Works like a charm. ;D

That said, if anyone is afraid to buy an LE Prophecy and do it over to a Vader.... use the above and you ought to be able to fight with it just fine. Who knows, you might even discover a new trick or two of your own. ;)

This is a beautiful hilt! As my very first saber from US I ordered this with a Sunrider's Destiny and Ultraedge heavy grade blade. I couldn't be happier with it.

This saber reminds me a lot of Vader's, and what's funny is that I have a Vader ANH and a Vader ESB, and neither are red lol.  I may just have to pick up one of these in Blazing Red, hmmmm (thoughts flow though my brain), I might even be able to convert it to look a lot like a Vader ROTS the rarest and (in my opinion) the most Awesome Vader Saber in Existence!!!   :D

Not to brown-nose, but I honestly think this is a better design than Vader's actual movie saber... sort of what Vader might have planned on as his next saber build after getting Luke to turn to the Dark Side.

I was looking at this online and tried to see if an RGB version could be done.  I didn't see it in the options  :'( .  Now if this can't be done, I completely understand, but if it could be done, that would be Awesome!!!  :D

A large file and a file set should do the trick. The grooves are seriously the hardest part

To be honest, I'd probably reverse the color scheme on the lower part (dark grooves and silver exterior) to 'imitate' the grips on a Graflex/Chosen...

Can you say....not just want, but NEED this! Wow! This is a masterpiece! I could see this in a DVA... Please bring this back!! Maybe for the second Spring raffle...or the Summer raffle as I am limited on funds right now...yeah right I'm broke as a joke!! lol!!

I would love to see this come back - I'm curious tho if this is something that could be done to a standard dark prophecy by adding a little in requisition charges...

As nice as that would be, they have said in the past that to do a custom version of a hilt would require at least 250 people to order one, since that is how large there hilt order minimum is  :-\

As a v4, this would sell like cake.  Though it might take some business away from the Chosen One.

Strangely, I don't think they'd mind. ;)

Personally, I think that those who want a Vader type saber and can part with the money are going to buy a Chosen One regardless, and those that want a Vader type saber and can't or won't spend for a Chosen One are buying Prophecies anyway, LE or not.

And then there's those folks who appreciate the Prophecy line for its own merits.

I'm going to quietly hold out hope that they will do a Prophecy V4 soon, not too aesthetically different, but capable of both Emerald and Obsidian in the same saber, and that they'll offer regular, dark, and dark LE versions of it.

I had no idea this saber ever existed. If they brought this back i would snag one up, no questions asked.

i just want the dark prophecy to just come back in stock so i can get my lightsaber waiting for a good 16 weeks man the wait is killing me from the inside

OH, I just assume that we'll see an updated version of the hilt eventually. I don't have any actual information.

I think it helps readers when you are speculating to say so "I speculate that ...." , otherwise when folks read these posts, it's difficult to ascertain whether it's speculation or fact.

As a Speculation, a V4 version of the prophecy would be sweet

It does seem that filling their orders should take presidence over creating new hilts.   I too would like a Prophecy, but hearing testimonies like your own has kept me from ordering.

Their NOT creating a new hilt...this thread was resurrected about maybe...eventually bringing BACK the limited Prophecy LE they had for a very limited run....and I don't know if that will in fact happen...but rest assured that they do put their customers FIRST...I have seen this first hand at every Dragon Con I have been to....and remember that they are doing BACK TO BACK Cons right now and that does put their onsite employees short while trying to fill thousands of orders and requests.  Just a Dragon Con alone you would stand in line of hours to get up to the counter for your order to be placed...the demand is that high that they are literally stretched THIN...but they always made sure to let you know how much they appreciated your business and made you feel that your order took priority..which you would get the saber in a couple of hours..which is awesome for how busy they are....so don't fret and have hope that they will get you any saber you order to you as fast as they can...this is just my two cents here
