Oh and Ive been thinking that if the blade color of my Monarch happens to be red, I just might go out of my way to throw together some sort of simple Sidious ensemble  for Halloween :)

Oh wow, the Arbiter with that Shock emitter is full of win.  Plus it has a red AV and green blade, like my Consular.  Excellent taste sir!

Holy crap that's what they sent you? I'm so freaking excited now.

I was so surprised, too! I pulled this thing out and it felt like it was never going to end. It's HUGE! And the Hilt is super beefy. Especially compared to my Initiates with 32" blades, hahaha.

The Red AV switch provides a really nice contrast to the CG blade too  :D

The Dark Arbiter that I bought is an awesome hilt.  I love its size!  Its a nice beefy hilt :D


A friend of mine was saying "Wouldn't it suck if you got an identical saber?"  I was like Hell no!  I'd get a coupler and turn it into a Massive staff of DOOM!  :D

I think I'm going to send it back in for a color change to SRD or sentinel yellow... Still debating.  Possibly AB.  I've already got a GB saber and really want them to be different colors

I second that, beautiful combo.  If I do end up installing QD on mine I may consider SRD as an option!

I think that if my monarch comes with an RGB color Im gona end up mixing it to either DVA or BH, or possibly wire it up as red for my sidious costume, then go DVA or BH

I took a page out of your book and played around with one of my RGB leds a while back, it was a ton of fun mixing different colors!  Plus the fact that not all mixes use the same resistor means that you can get some seriously unique combos... I managed to make a very cold blue (sorta between GB and AB), as well as an evenly mixed cyan (AB but more green, not quite SRD).

I know right!! it's a good way to spend a couple hours without even realizing it lol

Just got my Nickle plated monarch! Got it in red just like i wanted. The thing is a beast, it feels like it weighs twice as much as my aeon/dominix.   8) I'll post a review some time tonight.

Well Fedex just updated my tracking with estimated delivery from today to tomorrow, so guess I'll have to wait one more day to get you guys pics of the Prophecy.

I just got my prizes! The Aeon ended up being a V3 and came with an UltraEdge blade, which is awesome! However, instead of a Phantom V2 I only received a Dominix V2. Needless to say, I'm a little confused. I just e-mailed Emory so hopefully this will all get fixed.

i really wasnt going to buy any more sabers for a while...but that nickle plated prophecy draws me in....maybe eventually lol

To bad they aren't for sale, they are raffle prizes only.

My monarch is in chicago so it will be on time and I should have it tomorrow as planned :D

My saber just arrived just as I was running out the door for work today!

I took the time to pull it out and swap my other batteries in, fired it up and its PURPLE!  Sooo Awesome!
I forgot to check to see if it has FoC....

I think it is a Bellicose.  It has that lip on it like the Prophecy.
It also has a Blue Illuminated switch, and a Bronze Button.  It looks super sweeet!

I think it has an Ultra Edge blade.  The blade is White, unlike the Mid grade blade I have on my Dark Arbiter.

I'll post up some pics when I get home from work.
 

Just got home a short while ago and my Monarch was waiting for me.  ;D The batteries are in the charger now! I wonder how long it will take to charge them? It came with a Heavy grade blade and a two Li-Ion battery set up, So I am keeping my finger crossed for a Blazing Red Blade! That would be so AWESOME!!!

I am EXTREMELY happy with it!
My only concerns are about the Ultra Edge Blade (Not very bright in the daylight, waiting for nightfall to check it out during my break) and I'm not sure how to open it up and see if there are Quick Disconnects inside or not.

Also, If you want to change the color, at least it's simple enough to do, being that it is an RGB LED

IDK for sure since I am not the expert. Its a light orange color.

FO then. Also to get the best color shots, you will need to angle your camera down the blade like this.

Go from the emitter and look down towards the tip of the blade at about a 75 degree angle. It will keep the camera from being overwhelmed and give the best color shot.

wow, is that VA or Bane's heart? colors always look different with different cameras. Looks wicked awesome. I have a Bellicose as well, with VA, PO, and SY MLS units.

You know, I am not 100% sure to be honest.
I have asked a few other people if they think it looks rather pink.

They all have said no, that's very purple...

But I don't really have anything to directly compare it to. 
Pictures of these Saber's online here tend to lie.

@ Scimitar, yes that looks like the color my blade is. :)  I am loving the obsidian sound!!!  Anybody know if the Li-Ion batteries need to be depleted before charging them? Or can they safely be toped off? I have never used Li-Ion batteries before.

@Wolfknight They don't need to be depleted. You can charge them anytime you want. That's one of the advantages of having Li-Ion batteries.

I think that "randomized Obsidian saber" prize option is just awesome, I'd love to see it as a sort of "higher end grab bag" selection one day!

I agree that a random hilt w/ obsidian option would be so freaking awesome. I was really surprised by this saber. Its so stylish with all the curves and lack of angles. Such a beautiful hilt the Monarch is!

They threw in heavy grade blades as well! Wow! That GB is a great color. I wasn't able to capture it, but it has FoC in Silver. It's like Christmas!

Just an FYI.  The CE Monarch raffle prizes are Nickel Plated, but they do not have the same high finish shine as the retail versions of the Collector's Edition Monarch and Collector's Edition Prophecy.  In case the raffle winners are wondering.

Is that a finish we can apply ourselves to give it that shine?  That just looks amazing in the photo.  I have video of my nickel plated Prophecy V3 uploading to youtube right now but I'd love to make it shine like that someday.

Hey deep can we have the matte nickel as an option? I don't like the gloss one because of the finger prints.

Same here. When I first received my raffle monarch I was a little disappointed that it wasn't as shiny, but after playing with it and seeing how it still keeps that regal  ironish look I really like it now and would prefer it over the high gloss finish as well. Especially if I ever wanted to make a staff I would like the hilts to match.  :)

I think if you go with AB you can say it's more of a Luke EpIV saber, but I would go with the SRD or SY. I have SY and it is awesome, I have always wanted an SRD blade so maybe i'll get it as an MLS unit or something. the SY would make it look the most unique I think.

I've wanted a yellow saber ever since ultra sabers started.  So a SY saber is definatly in my future.  The question is this the one.... I'm starting to think it may be

you know, you could order an LED module, not the MLS unit, won't fit in the prophecy model, and add the $5 of requisitions charges and ask for it to be SY, then you could install quick disconnects on both LED modules and then be able to swap out colors. :) that would be cool, and you could become a true jedi ;) or something..

They don't offer quick disconnect on the prophecy so I figured it wasn't possible.  As far as doing it myself I'm not sure that I have the skill

I love the dark metallic grey sheen on the Prophecy  :o

Yeah, I have the same finish on my monarch and I actually am starting to dig it. With the Guardian Blue blade it came with, it's sort of has an Old Republic Grand Master feel to it. It's pretty awesome :D

Yeah that nickel plating really gives a cool finish doesn't it?  I really love it, especially on that Prophecy!  Stunning saber!

Honestly its super easy. But there is room, they don't offer it on my Liberator but I installed one. So just email US and talk to them about it. I know its $6 for the QD Part, you have to order it using rec charges. And then I know its a fee on top that. I think its $15 for any saber (with install and part) because that's what I had to pay extra for my Shocks QD.

The next time I install one, I'll try and make a video.

A Tutorial would be awesome, but if US would do it for me I'd gladly pay the fee.  When I decided I wanted a color change that was the first thing I checked but since they didn't offer it on that saber I assumed it couldn't be done.

It will be about a month before I can do the video. But just email US and talk to them about what you want.

So the packaging was intact and came with both bubble wrapping AND popcorn! There are a few scratches on the body and on the pommel, but nothing too noticable. You actually have to be looking for them in order to see them. The color is Guardian Blue, which I know will make Blue happy.

All in all, I am extremely pleased with this prize.
