This saber is built with high quality aircraft aluminum. It will stand up to rigorous use time and again. It's a 3 piece saber design with a highly pronounced flanged emitter with a gorgeous groove pattern and 10 windows to let the light from the blade or blade plug through the emitter..  The saber body has a subtle groove pattern on the grips and the pommel comes in two versions.  One version is very low profile to add to the streamlined look and the other is high profile to add some flare to the saber.  The entire saber is 11" assembled (12" with high profile pommel) so it's ideal for either two hand or one handed combat.

This saber is also available in the RGB color options.  And the RGB version of this saber is the exact same length at the single color version.  So you get an 11' RGB saber!!!

The saber comes completely assembled and ready to go.  The emitter and pommel are all removable and are both compatible with MHS parts.  Sound is also an available option.

Just when I finally managed to get my saber mania under control, US goes and releases another must-have! I know what I want for Christmas now :D

Strangely enough the same thought I had ^^ though thinking about making a coupler in the same style as the hilt so it'll look like one solid saber.

Is the low profile pommel really supposed to be $5 extra than the high profile one? You would think it would be the other way around.

As I said before, I'm stealing this idea.  It seems a smidge too short for a solid two-hand grip, but perfect for a staff.  Plus the emitter would look sick on the staff.  I'm already thinking about how to add an LED crystal slot on a vented coupler for the staff!

That's exactly why I have wanted the hilt. Many of the regular hilts are too long for me to use. This can be a true one hander for me.

I love that low profile pommel. I do believe I'll have to get one of these whenever I get around to buying some of those Pike extensions. Oh, the sweetness.  8)

If I want this with sound and with RGB, is that an option? I didn't see that choice in the menu for the RGB blade on the soundboard Manticore.

RGB and sound is NOT an option.  Deep says as much in the introduction video for the Manticore.

The RGB module, switches, and wiring take up too much room for the Obsidian to fit properly.

That is exactly right. You don't want to even attempt to squish all of those electronics into a tight place. It wont end well.

I also love how it's named after a mythical creature as a sort of nod to how hard it was to get one of these.

Then again, if you're like me and want to get two of them with sound and a coupler and all the flashy stuff, it's still gonna be a bit hard to get.

This is now on my "Must have" list, along with the Guardian, and the Monarch.  However, it moved automatically to the top the moment it was released.

Holy crap that thing's gorgeous.  The emitter is downright astounding, and the rest of the saber isn't far behind.  That's an MHS emitter, too.  :o

I just saw that the emitter is for sale by itself.  I can't swing the cost of a new saber right now, but the emitter is totally do-able, and it will look great on my Archon V2!  Might have to get a DVA or a PO (or both) MLS unit to go with it.

Is there any chance we could get a "length added to saber" measurement for the emitter and pommels?

Correction.....The Manticore emitter is ordered, and on its way!  Since I had a few store points stored up,  I ordered a Bane emitter as well!

That emitter would look awesome on a Shock... I really like this Manticore and I now have to consider it among all my other considerations when I eventually grab the "Sith saber" for the house, (for guests who want to duel my Padaw..errr, my son and I).

Okay, I've know for sometime now that Ultrasabers are cool. How cool? I get the internet for the first time in a month and half, and I find the Manticore front and center. I order said Manticore at lunch time. It shipped in about three hours and will be here Tuesday. I was planning to have a big saber photo and video catch up now that I can post again, but now I think I will wait until next week...

When my Manticore emitter arrives, I think I will have to finally do that long overdue video review of my Archon V2, featuring (among others) the Manticore emitter.  As much, as I would love to be able to do a review on the Manticore itself, it is just not in the budget.  However, having this excellent emitter to add to my collection adds yet another personality to my Archon, and I think folks will appreciate seeing how you can essentially transform this saber with the use of different emitters, necks, and pommels.

Not trying to make this an Archon thread.  Just wanted to make it known that the Manticore emitter will be exclusively responsible for pushing my desire to post a review over the top!

This just knocked the Overlord, Bellicose, and Archon out of the running for my next saber.  I was on the fence about it when i first saw picks a few months back because the only really cool looking part is the emitter, but now that i've been constantly removing and reattaching the shroud on my Consular, i've come to realize that i prefer a simple grip design for actualy swinging around.  And with the low profile pommel, this is perfect for how i hold swords.  Comfortable looking, simple hilt + awesome vented emitter = YES NOW PLEASE.

Also in one of the pics (close up of emitter with blue LED), the emitter looks like it has nickel plating.  Is this an option that will possibly be available later, because it's not on there now.  If there are plans for this option, i'm definitely holding off to get it that way, or if i can use the requisitions to have it specially requested, i'd do that too.   ;D

I think it pretty much speaks for itself. 

Using just the emitter takes a little off the overall length of the saber, but it still looks good!  I have a solid M/F coupler that can add that length back, but after looking at that combination, I decided I like this configuration better.

After viewing your pic, I am left with only one thought,,,

I think this emitter should be a choice for the Archon.  That just belongs there honestly.  Love your setup!!!

Initially, the only thing that concerned me was the difference in size between the emitter, and the hilt at the point where they join.  But, in reviewing the pictures of the actual Manticore hilt, it is exactly the same, so I am good with it!

Seems like it can be grabbed perfectly just below the emitter and hilt body, but still leave enough room below for some two-handed work. Could you please post more saberpr0n for us?

I do plan a thread that will show my Archon with all the different necks, and emitters that I have for it so far.  If you liked this one photo that much, I hesitate to think what a gallery like that would do!

Many views of said gallery would occur along with many positive comments below the OP. Oh yeah man! We love the photos here!  ;D

One thing I love about the Manticore is that while being a highly customized and stylish saber, its very alignment-neutral, so its suited equally to light or dark side. I can see this eventually being my RGB saber of choice.

I was thinkung exactly the same! I ordered it yesterday with a VA led and silver foc. I have also the bellicose in BR with orange foc. I'm happy got the bellicose with quick disconnect option beacause i will be able to easly change the color. I will do a review when it arrives and also swap the leds ti show up the colors.

First I liked it. Then I was not so sure... I think it was the emitter.

And now I love it.

The saber is very nice, and among my favorites.  But, that emitter is a work of art, and just to put my money where my mouth is on that point, I bought one!  It looks great on my Archon V2 hilt!

The Manticore's been in my sights for a while.  Don't know how I missed this thread in my few months aboard, but I just may have to buy two Manti's!  Best looking staff...period...full stop.  :o

I plan on buying a second Manticore sooner or later and had been looking for a picture of it as a staff. I totally overlooked this somehow. It is as cool as I imagined. Mine will have the flush vented coupler in silver and blades will probable be my current BR and VA.

WOW! That saber looks AMAZING!  I just ordered my first saber (the initiate v3) last night and now I already know what I want my second one to be.  I love the even mix of silver and black on this saber and the low profile pommel goes great with it.  I would have to get it with sound and the violet blade looks like it would go great with this saber!  US, you have just given me a new addiction. :(

I love the streamlined saber look. The whole body isn't that terribly decorative or fancy in design but in my experience its the simplicity of the grip that makes it all the better. Plus that emitter is absolutely beautiful and the detail is amazing. This very well could be my dream saber.    :)

From what I've seen, the Dark War Glaive emitter would be the better option.

"Yes, it's one of my favourite sabers for dueling. It has good balance even with Heavy Grade blades (I even have the High Profile pommel, which shifts the balance further to the pommel end) and provides great grip!

My Archon is also a good dueling saber, almost as good as the Manticore. It has a balance point (assuming a Heavy Grade blade) directly at the end of the emitter, but I tend to hold the saber on the neck which sometimes leads to dents on the leading hand due to the large ring around the lower part of the emitter. So in longer sessions this might become uncomfortable - the Manticore is still comfortable after hours! So definitely a great dueling saber!

Obsidian v4, Blazing Red, silver flash on clash, silver non illuminated switch..went all out but the switch. Figured my hand would be covering it most of the time. What about you? What did you get?

Very nice. +1. I got the emerald driver with obsidian v4. Went with the recharge port, covertech wheel and got the silver illuminated av switch in white. Hopefully they deliver our sabers before May 4th. It would be awesome to have it by then.

Well, I sent an email asking when they would be back in stock, was told end of April beginning of May. So we should get it very soon. Starting to get really excited.

I ordered my Manticore at the end of February and the order status has remained as 'Processing' ever since... The US team have been great in replying to my queries and very apologetic and assuring, but i've been itching for my saber for nearly 3 months now!  ???
