Since there are threads dedicated to blue and yellow courtesy of eerockk and CZ3RO respectively, I figured it was my duty to begin a thread for the most amazing lightsaber color of all... green!  Feel free to post any pics of you and any green sabers you may have, be it Consular Green, Emerald Green, or even Sunriders Destiny.

The two green sabers are an Archon V1 and Dominix V1, respectively. Both are broken, the Dominix in an irreparable state. I do plan on fixing the Archon, though. It was my first saber.  :)

I thought the Jade was meant for Arctic Blue or Sun Rider's Destiny?

I'm not sure, to be completely honest, it was just the first that came to mind. I haven't done much experimenting with filters lately.  :-\

I love green sabers!

This is cool! You have a Dominix V1 and an MR Luke RotJ. My first CG saber I posted above is a Dominix V1 with parts from my Luke RotJ saber. Interesting coincidence!

I saw that, you did a great job with it!  Very unique, doesn't look like a Dom v1 at all.  That's one of my favorites, my Obsidian-equipped Luke... it's a classic!

Can AS green filtered sabers be allowed? :P Going to wait til tomorrow though.

Unfortunatly I was never a big fan of the MR Luke RotJ. I really did not like the fact that the neck was so large and unweildy. Part of the reason I was OK to use it for parts.  I actually like what I made with it better, except no sound... I want to find a more movie acurate replica saber with all the sound and LED goodies. But very cool that you put Obsidian in yours, I asume you converted the LED too?

It was converted by Ultra a good while back, the only one of its kind that I know of.  Maybe I'll try to do another in the future...

and can someone please confirm its colour for me? I think its emerald green, it doesn't look green enough to be consular green but im pretty sure its far too green for sunriders destiny  :-\

Thanks guys, very cool to get a forum colour as a raffle prize, and it wasn't what I was expecting when I turned it on after seeing the black hilt! I do rather like it, its not a hilt id ever considered buying but after playing with it last night I gotta say it is a beautiful hilt, great as a two handed but still decent for spinning.  And the green on the black hilt with silver rings is just beautiful!

That stupid little astro droid!! Is there a massive difference between the CG and EG? I haven't really seen a good comparison.

I'll load my Archon with EG and dual wield for a comparison this eve.

EG has a sliver of blue mixed in, and the electric green nature of CG is softened as a result. The color is still vibrant and bright, but it is a bit different. I prefer CG to EG but I'm happy to have both.

The scorpion pommel really goes well with the dark shock, love seeing all these customisations, gives me ideas ;)

I'm definitely a big fan of it since I put it on. Gives it a bit more flare at the bottom than the standard dark shock pommel!

Very true - have just been trying the guardian pommel on my dominix LE looks rather cool :)

I need the Green Assembly's expertise.  I have a pic of all 4 of my green or greenish sabers.  The two on the left are CG, 3rd is SRD and I'm not sure if the 4th is SRD or EG.  3rd is Li-Ion and the 4th is a standard setup stunt saber, so is the 4th one actually EG or a standard setup version of SRD?

Could you take another shot of it on its own with the glow reflecting off a wall behind it? I'm guessing EG, but if it's a standard setup and the batteries are low, the blue might be waning on SRD.

Pretty cool shade of green. Hey even though my saber is SRD can I put green filters over it? I'm finally getting some new Lee filters this week and I was going to put a Primary Green over and see what that looks like. Or maybe a Lime Green for a unique cool green. Let me know about this and I'll get some cool colors up. =]

I tried my 3 green filters on my SRD saber.  Primary green made SRD look more teal leaning towards the green side.  All 3 filters I used had pretty much the same effect.

Cool. Sounds like an interesting color. Though I might put a Bright and Medium Blue filter over mine. Not really sure yet. You can change the color of SRD with single filters though. Try a jas Green over. Gives a cool green color.

I've never seen that shade of green before on a saber, I like it.  Point for originality!

Is jas green a filter color?  I have the Rosco filters so they are probably a little different from yours.

Yeah Jas is in the Lee book. I'm getting my filters next week finally. had to give my po box. They said they will send me a book for a favor. Lee rules. =]  I'll see what color combos I can come up with for my SRD.

And another sweet one I did earlier. The lights were on too. Really liked how the blade glows in this picture. =] Sun Rider's Destiny has become a favorite color. I think its underrated really. Should be seen more. Has kind of a classic feel to the color.

My very first ever Ultra Saber. Liberator in Consular Green but now with an Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade and fresh batteries. Like how the green turned out in this picture. Anyone that has a stunt set up for Consular Green, like a pure stunt set up for standard batteries and such, how does newer Consular Green look? I think the one on my Libby is a LUXIII. I know they have changed since I got this I think in 09. It was either 09 or 2010 when I got my Libby. Can't remember. so if anyone has a pure stunt set up you think you could get some pictures up? Wanting to now get a Prophecy V3 in Consular Green with a standard Heavy blade and Manticore high pommel.

Any one know what colors emerald green has for foc options?  I'm concittering an upgrade on my shock le other than that I was thinking consular green / yellow foc with yellow av switch.

They offer the same FoC options for EG as SRD, which is only silver. Hope that helps  :)

My EG MLS has silver FoC, but I didn't know what else to get for it.

I have an Archon in CG with AB flash and I love it as the flash color.  That would be interesting if you could get a yellow flash with a green blade. 

Thinking about turning my Bellicose to SRD or EG when I send the saber in. Finally heard from Deep about it. Just gotta buy 50 dollars worth of requisition charges but I won't mind paying a little extra to get the color changed. How does EG look in a regular Heavy or Mid blade?

That was just a Manticore emitter on my Overlord. Between it and my Bellicose SG pommel on it, the Overlord is one bad ass hilt!  ;D

Recommend 2 x 32" HG as they look awesome in person and on camera. UE is amazing for photography, but I prefer MG/HG in person.

I second that, for green the regular HG blades are great.  32" is a good length too, but that really depends on how long you want the thing (which is somewhat dependent on your height).

Thanks for the fantastic pics, and especially for the recommendations! 32" HG it is. My Aeons haev UEMG and my roommate got a HG, but they weren't green. After seeing the differences between blades in person that helped a bit, but this decided it. Will order it tomorrow, and hopefully have pictures in by the end of the week, so long as they aren't backed up with holiday-season orders/raffle entries. They've always been very quick in the past for me, at least.

Well, here it is! My new Phantasm v2 in CG with 32" heavies. Gotta say, it looks great. I feel they may be just a tad long, but I'm glad I didn't get the initiate blades. Thinking about cutting just a couple inches off of each. Anyone have any experience/tips with that?

Sure!  I have cut about 3.5" off of my regular midgrade blade, going from 36" to about 32.5" for my dark initiate LE V3.  I used a mitre saw with a regular wood cutting blade.  Just measure and mark how much you want off the bottom.  Take a cloth/paper towel, and bunch it up into the blade just past the marked point where you will cut it.  This will prevent fragments of plastic and dust from blowing into your blade while you are cutting.  And trust me, stuff will, and you'll see all the fragments stuck inside your blade when you have it lit up.  Brace the plastic blade against the back fence of the saw and cut slowly on the marked line.  A regular mitre saw blade will easily cut through the polycarbonate plastic, and with mine it also melted the bottom of the film on the inside of the blade a little, keeping it taught inside the blade so it wouldn't unravel.  That's it, sorry this was so wordy but I hope this helps :)  

Hey Errockk, how does CG look in UEHG in person? I expect about the same as GB? Still needing, not wanting, a new CG saber. :P I do like green as well after all.

UEHG looks good in person, but the white polycarb is noticeable. For in-person applications, HG looks way better. You'll see me using UEHG in my videos though for that fuller effect with the core.

I went with the regular HG's instead of UEHG on the staff I posted a couple posts back. Lemme just say, it's freakin' gorgeous. Prettier than my UEMG GB's, by far. Not to mention, the blues in HG look fantastic as well.
Definitely go with HG.

One of my Aeon v2s that make up my Phantasm! Honestly, I like these Aeons more than the v3s for a staff. Having the choke points that the v3 does feels weird. These are more streamlined and feel far better, but I think the v3s would make better two-handers.
But I'm a staff guy, so this thing is my baby. Really is a great hilt, and the blade is BEAUTIFUL. Super glad I went with the HG blades (non-UE).

On a related note, I went outside to the field behind my dorm tonight with one of the guys I live with (who got a VA Dark Initiate v2 for xmas). We battled it out for a few rounds, despite the cold, and even had people cheering from their windows. Some guy actually took a video and put it up on facebook, and I introduced myself afterwards thanks to a mutual friend. Hopefully we can spark some more interest and get a real club together!

On a related subnote, what do you guys recommend for protective handwear? I've got a couple sets of sparring gloves, which work GREAT for the first knuckle or so, but thumbs are getting smashed up pretty bad. He had a nail break pretty bad, but no major damage. Not to mention an eye-poke, lol.

I've herd that fencing gear works pritty good for the head protection

TPLA uses, nay, mandates the use of protective gear for this. We use a fencing mask, road hockey/lacrosse gloves, and groin protection as standard bare-minimum mandatory gear, and then add other things as we like, such as shoulder pads, elbow pads, etc. Sure, we look a little goofy sometimes, but we're able to go at each other full-tilt and not pull any swings. Full-strength fighting and we live to fight another day uninjured! It's a no-brainer and the gear is more than reasonable. Fighting without gear is not an option in the TPLA Apprentice system.

Well, I doubt the school's fencing team would appreciate us smashing our sabers into their helmets, lol. Great suggestions though. After a near-testicular-incident we did both point out that cups would be a great idea. Guess it's time to go shopping!

The only thing one has to worry about when hitting a fencing helmet is scuffing your blade! My mask is rated for 350N of force. A lightsaber is no match for a fencing mask.  ;)

Indeed!  Just think, a simple epee mask (the cheapest option) is designed to withstand stabs from a stiff metal blade, I'm sure it can take some nicks from polycarb blades...

I love how overwhelmingly bright that green is. Mine is the old LUX 3 watt LED from long ago. Its not quite that bright, but with new batteries it still lights up the whole room.

My Aeon V2 was originally AS but I swapped my LED from my Bellicose bought a PO MLS unit for it and put the Green Unit in the Aeon... through research I realized it was a 10w since it was the same LED with the FOC wired ... Though I cut the FO wire obviously.

The sucker is INSANELY bright but goes through my nimh sanyos in a little over an hour.... but that is why I have two sets dedicated to it.

My Overlord has FoC, so I've thought about getting a green MLS unit for that to see how it is.  My only issue is that I'm a little bit green-obsessed, so I try to limit the acquisition of new green sabers lol

I got board so I decided to put some jst conecters on the emerald green module that came with my dsi and change the quick conects on my sentinal yellow module to jst conecters and here you go Vigilance with emerald green

I'm sorry Prowl, but that is NOT SRD. It is actually EG, as stated in his post. A common mistake but SRD is bluer than EG. That aside it is quite a spectacular customized saber!

I love that emitter. It rounds out the hilt so nicely. Point!

I think so too. But for spinning purposes, I think it needs a choke. Like the choke of the War Glaive (imagine w/o the vented area at the top) or simply the neck of the Arbiter. Right now I'm also having difficulties because the set screw for blade retention is 1/4" long, so half of the screw is outside, making it painful to spin (if you rely on the emitter's choke). I think I need to get a 1/8" one to make it invisible from outside. I tried using Dark Arbiter neck between the emitter and the body, then it is really comfortable, but the hilt becomes really long.

Hey. How does Consular Green look in an Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade in person and on camera? Thinking about getting me a Dominix V3 in that set up. =] /since my bro now has my Adegan Silver Aeon V3 figured it'd be a cool brother saber theme thing.

The very first saber I purchased 16 years ago was a Hasbro Qui Gon Ginn saber. I saw the Ulstra Sabers Consular and HAD to get it :) 'The circle is now complete!'
I know Green is the cannon colour but I went for Sunriders Destiny for something a little different. I was unsure about SRD at first but I'm very pleased with it and would highly recommend it!

I was so pleased with my first saber I bought this Consular Green Liberator a month later. I am considering making modifications to the hilt to customize it for me, but I am not sure what I will do. If you have any ideas I would be happy to hear them. Also if you happen to read this would appreciate it if you would give me points towards the light side.

Would anyone be able to explain to me the difference between consular green and emerald green colors for a saber?

Is it just me or do green lightsabers run down batteries faster than blue ones?

Probly so green actully runs at a higher mah ( draws more power) only white would draw more. I've got a stunt that I've wired in a 10w led with blue and green at full power with two accent leds and I get maby 2 1/2  hours +- of run time

All this green is making me want to go for a new Consular Green saber instead of a Guardian Blue saber. :P @Nero, where did you get that belt at?

That belt is actually from Twin Roses, they were selling it cheap because they had made it for a customer who backed out.  A little on the pricier side compared to the inexpensive stuff you can find on eBay, but this one is real leather so I don't mind.  The cloak is also from them, but I've had that for a while.

The jumpsuit is actually pretty cool, and I believe it's now on eBay for like 20 bucks or something, very inexpensive if you're looking for a simple cosplay option.  If anyone is interested, feel free to PM me.

Yep, you can't go wrong with a Prophecy.  And apparently a lot of people have been getting them in grab bags so I wonder if we may have updated versions coming out in the near future.

Thanks!  I do try ;)  Actually simplicity is one of those things that I value in style, not throwing too many different details into a costume can sometimes be the perfect recipe.  I mean the pic I posted recently was just my jumpsuit and cloak, but it managed to convey the look I was going for pretty well.

I agree. Never been a fan of the length of the saber, but it looks really nice in this setup.

Surprisingly not as long as one would think, my custom Manticore is 14 inches...and I didn't even realize it was that long until I came across the Arbiter and thought that has got to be a lo general saber to wield, but really it is pretty well balanced!

Still too long, haha. 11-12 inches is just right for me.

Great pictures!  I LOVE dueling with my son(6yrs old)!  I'm so jealous, look how much room you guys have!  I've taken out a light bulb and chipped the paint on some of our trim in the house  :)  We could use a little more room here!

nowadays we only live places that are open concept.  "how much room" we have is because that particular room is the living room, dining room, and also kitchen. :)

I would really recommend getting an Emerald driver saber so you can make the colors your own! 

I only care to get stunt sabers now days again. :P Plus I just like to have one color for my sabers. Personal preference.

I've been thinking about names some. "Exsul" or "Odium" have been forerunners, but I'm totally open to ideas.

oohh I like "Odium" sounds like something you'd unearth on an archaeological dig, lol, right up your alley, and it has a "green" feel to it too  :)

Also, when I read Odium my mind (without thinking, lol) immediately went, Odin > The Mask (movie) > Loki (the Norse god of darkness and mischief)...... for me, Loki would be a cool name for a dark LE saber (black with silver hi-lites) with green av and CG blade (probably influenced by one of my fav shows at the moment, Vikings, haha) :)

Aww, Vikings airs tonight here, and i work tuesday nights. So looks like i'll have to get the whole series on catchup, again  :'(

While tecnically I got Sentinel LE V4 in Adegen Silver, I almost exclusively use the light green and Yellow color discs to get this sick light Green color.

I ordered a manicore emitter and a 32 inch mid grade blade for my Archon V3. It looks amazing in both athstetics and brightness. The mid grade blade is super bright and light.

BTW, I love the name.  Your avatar and name crack me up every time I run across one of your posts.  Anyway, the reason for my comment is to say that is an awesome looking saber.  I put some black paint in the grooves of the emitter of my Manticore, and man, it really pops now.  I think doing something similar to yours would tie into the Archon hilt beautifully.  Here's what it looks like:

All I did was by some flat black modeling paint and the smallest brushes I could find (in the same section) from a hobby store.  I snipped a lot of the bristles off the brush with some scissors until it was small enough to fit in the grooves, and the paint adhered perfectly.

Just my 2 cents, but yours looks amazing.  Point for your creativity and name.  Still cracks me up!

Okay, so technically, the staff doesn't belong here.  It's Emerald driven, but it is set to a close match to my EG stung Apprentice V4 LE there.

Having them in close proximity reinforces that I need some Ultraedge blades for the staff, for those times when I'm doing colors appropriate for the UE blades.

@RedComet actually that Luke RotJ is a black turtle neck tactleneck, black slacks with very large sized pleather women's riding boots from Target, and a bath robe that I bought intentionally too small and then cut up and sewed the edges off to make a "vest" and sash. Later this year I plan on making an actual vest with tabards and a sash out of black linen and getting a mandarin collar shirt that I can adjust to make Luke's shirt.

I apologize if this goes against the theme of this thread, but it only makes sense for this to be the best group of people to ask.

Simply put, I'm going with green, but can't pick which one. From what I've seen, I like both EG and SRD significantly more than CG as a color. The downside to that is the inability to go with Tri Cree for EG or SRD. Can anyone give me their opinion on which is brighter between EG and SRD? The brighter of those two will likely be my choice, unless someone can make a great case for Tri CG.

Any opinions are greatly appreciated as I'm Canadian and the prices (after shipping and conversion) are WAY TOO expensive for me to pick the wrong color.

Hey Rossaldin I'm Canadian(in SK) as well so I 100% understand your thinking.

SRD is a beautiful color but unfortunately isn't the brightest option US offers, in fact compared to my other blades it's noticeably duller in brightness.
Because brightness is your goal with a green shaded blade I'd recommend going for EG first. I don't have an EG saber, but CG is super bright and I believe EG will closely match that.

I'll point out that you could opt for quick disconnects for your saber and order an additional SRD LED to change out. But of course it depends on the budget too :D

I've been trying my best to figure out a color I won't worry about during the 4+ weeks of lead time. I was set on SRD, but switched to a leaning of EG recently. This reaffirms in my head that EG is the right way to go!

I considered Quick Disconnect, but I'm going with Obsidian V4 and also buying one for my brother so that really hiked up the expense. Plus, I want a Prophecy and it's unfortunately not offered. In the future, I hope to get an Emerald Bellicose so I'll get to try more colors then!

Yup. I have an Emerald Green Dark Liberator and its an awesome color in both blade types too. Very bright and cool color. I also have a regular Consular Green blade too and that one is also nice and bright

So I wanted my dark apprentice LE to have a little more contrast between the silver and black, and I had seen some users sand down the finish off of their sabers to weather it, so I grabbed some sandpaper and ended up with this. I'd like to clean up around the activation button, but overall, I'm really happy with how this came out.

This is my friends green Dark Sentinel v4 obsidian v4.  We ordered our first sound sabers together after a certain movie, heheh.

Wow the top Standard Issue is such a beauty.  :o   Those vibrant rich golden bands and wrapping and the earthy colors and the leaf... exactly the saber that the Lady of the Sage Order should have.  ;)  + 1 for one of the most beautiful slightly dirty weathered sabers that I have ever seen.  Is it a stunt as I couldn't imagine using this artifact from the lore of Beltane.   8)

It was a commission for someone wanting to cosplay as a more rugged Jedi Tinkerbell crossover!
It's a stunt with a Li ion setup for easy charging and cosplaying - sound can be a annoying when at conventions.

It's probably my favorite project to date!

Yes, that's the proper colour for that! And blue for the Water (my Consular will help with its AB once it arrives back in stock), FO for the Fire (my wife's Dark Apprentice is FO!) and the silver for the Wind...
I really did not want to have a collection of sabers but today I had to fabricate a saber rack for 5 :D

My camera always acts weird so :P For the bottom 2 I need to try a Photon blade :P Saw one on a Sun Rider's Destiny a few minutes ago and it looks really sweet. Its on shutter mode now and the apterture? Always acts on its own from 3.1 to 8.0 x.x I need a better camera at some point First pic you can kinda tell all the differences but I tried at least

I agree. I think they all need their own picture and then out side by side in a collage. Or, put them on a white background and spread them out a bit.

What I find interesting is how blue they look in the first and how green they look in the second.

I'll do that later for you guys =] I'll just take a picture of each saber separately. And true they did turn out kinda blue-ish on that pic :P

That does show the CG better, especially when you look at the color on the floor.

I ordered a black AV switch and covertech - more on that later -, and V4 sound.  I opted for the Ep 2 font.

I did some rework on a free US, US blade plug: 1. Increased length for deeper than usual blade holders specially my Sentinel LE and, 2. Mounted washers to the center to create a more mechanical look. Unfortunately I wasn't concentric in my drilling.

I modded this blade plug specifically for my Sentinel LE.

Nice. Never even thought of doing that to my US logo blade plug. I'll have to look around and see if we have any washers of those size. Though some if the hole is small enough I don't mind it showing through since some blade plugs has some light shining through anyway

I have a bin of washers and stuff from my R/C'ing days and for my real cars so I just went for it. You can also get them from any automotive stores (I find it easier at those stores than Home Depot at times).

Thanks to MavRick and Lord Rapine, I too am a fan of CG and I am torn between the Sentinel LE, Prophecy or Consular. These two excellent examples of the Prophecy just make my choice more difficult.

I myself love my Sentinel V4, super comfy to grip however you want, also looks good in any color too but I got mine in Sun Rider's Destiny =]

 I have the Prophecy, and I LOVE it!! It was my first saber, very comfortable. I would also buy another one in blue.   ;D My Sentinel in SY, love this saber, also it feels great in the hand  ;D
 Consular in C Green WANT it!!

Can't find my tape measure, but measuring against a 24" blade, it looks like it's about 13-14". With the added room, I might add a Vader-esque box clamp in the future.  :D

Currently have it with a 24 inch midgrade ultra edge.

Settings are in % Consular green R-0 G-100 B-0 I have it set to pulse to Emerald Green (unforunately the pulse doesn't show up well in the pics) R-0 G-100 B-06 The pulse is 0.60  seconds with fairly evenly timed changes. FOC set to silver.

Thanks for sharing. Green is my second favorite saber color behind orange.

Loving the Consular there Hazard! Not generally a big fan of that emitter style, but it works really well on there!

Yeah I'm a sucker for the flared hero style emitter and try and fit it on everything I have ;D

BEAUTIFUL saber, Haz.  Question: are you planning on matching it w/ a Fulcrum for an Asoka set/build?  On that point: didn't one of her sabers have a Sentinel Yellow blade?  Or am I just misremembering :P

The one with the yellowy blade of hers wasn't Sentinel Yellow or Consular Green, but somewhere in between actuallly. And, if I remember right, it was the Lost Grey.

As for the Fulcrum I'm not interested in it, it's not an interpretation of Ahsoka's main hand lightsaber I'm looking for.

Benji's right ... Ahsoka's shoto saber is more of a lime green in the CW series.

Made a shroud with some black poly-pipe, and with a little black electrical tape with a covertec knob I think it looks pretty nice. :)

Love the Archon V2.1, got it set up same way but classic pommel also Consular Green =] One of my main sabers and main sabers to wear out too

Thanks to those that appreciate my saber.  True story.  It arrived with an expected BR LED/no flash and did a relatively quick chameleon change to CG with silver FoC.  Pics on my other posts to both prove and address this Force transformation.  Impossible you say... then someone else can try to explain it as others have failed.  :D

As much as I love this saber and the flash settings are almost as perfect as I have ever had in any of my sabers... this unique saber should belong to someone just as special... that has contributed so much to this saber community and to promoting my least favorite blade color... GREEN ( esp. CG ).  Sorry... it's a good color and I have green sabers.  But most importantly Haz and his wife have become trusted longer distance friends and they are on my short list of we must meet someday.  :)

But please don't tell Haz... let him just stumble upon this in his own time.  And he may think that this saber is not JEDI enough for his sensitivities lol.  ;)

Green is becoming my favorite blade color even more so now and also makes me want to watch Return Of The Jedi but movies are still packed away x.x I know I technically have 3 green blade sabers but I want me some more :P I like green now more so than blue. Weird right? :P

I bought a $200 Mystery Box which ended up being an Initiate V4 in Consular Green with silver FOC and basic sound. I spruced it up a bit, with an Arctic White paint job on most of the sabre, leaving some aluminium accents, and covered some of it with red dyed Kangaroo leather. I initially also wrapped it some black Kangaroo leather, but it actually made the sabre quite bulky and uncomfortable, so removed the black strapping.
