I'm adding that to my wish list. I highly recommend it. The first instinct is to go with Consular Green for that hilt, but it looks just as good in many other colors! It's not as bright as it should be though, the Flash on Clash (normally white) is actually just Flicker on Clash, and you can pretty much forget lock-up altogether. :) Title: Re: The Red Wrath! Then I tested out the One Winged Angel font to see how that went. I'm pretty pleased. I'm thinking about taking weapon sound effects from FFVII and KH to apply to the One Winged Angel font instead of Sephiroth's voice however, but I'll get to that when I can. I have to get clear snippets and such.
Right now I have the default Obsidian Soundfont uploaded onto it. I've grown incredibly fond of how powerful it sounds. I spent some time thinking today, and I might have the emitter shroud power coated black some day. But since it is the only shroud of it's type that I own, I probably won't unless I get my hands on another. Title: Re: The Red Wrath! It was from a prop saber that was shared by my grandfather and myself. I took it off of the prop and applied it to my Initiate V3. It also helped give the name for my saber, Elegia, a term that shares it roots with the greek Elegy, a mournful poem used to remember something or somebody.

In fact it's hardly recognizable as a Initiate V3 without really stating that it was. When I sent it in for repairs about a week ago, it was shocking to get it back to what it originally was and to see it without all of the modifications. XD

A very good tip that helps bring out the blade color better and keep it more consistent with the blade itself. Especially in BR.

I'll feel pretty awful in the future when I move up to my "big boy saber" and have her sitting around more often rather than being used. But I do sort of plan to have her as sort of a...legacy....if you will. I would say if you're a Shii-Cho or Djem So specialist, the Scorpion will suit VERY well. Not saying you cannot Makashi, Soresu or Ataru with it, but you're gonna have to be strong to one hand it, but it balances beautifully! Title: Re: The Red Wrath! I have a heavy grade standard blade and my Scorp looks fab like that. You need the extra weight btw, because the hilt is a beast! I've got a mid grade in mine and I find the centre point to be right in the silver choke area which I find awesome! I have put a heavy grade in it but I haven't used it properly with it in! This was ordered back in 2010 I believe when the LED set up was still the plastic things. It might be a P4 red too. Can't really tell. I want to switch out the plastic shroud for that new real wooden shroud from the other guys. If I can whenever it'll still be the same shape.

It was a bit tricky when it comes to spinning at first, but I think it has more to do with getting used to the length of the blade than the hilt itself. It's much better already after two days. I was also going to order it with a Guardian pommel and a Dark War Glaive emitter but I was concerned that the hilt would be too long (I'm a one-hander - cue in Fallout trait). What I did (upon reading several threads on the forum) was to have the blade pulse from R 127 to R 255, with all timers being set to 1.2 sec. This way, the flickering is (sort of) synchronized with the custom Vader hum font someone posted here. When I have the time, I'll definitely try to put up a video review. I really wanted a Dark Initiate, but a regular one in BR is definitely good enough! I swapped its blade w/ a 36" MG lying around and put in a Dark Shock pommel to balance the weight. Looks-wise it doesn't really work (all the extra parts I have are black) but it is great for practicing when my GF is sleeping.

They don't offer the same model of saber anymore however, nor the part chromed like that.
And yeah, it was a nice build, but that saber is decommissioned for the time being. Too many technical problems that never ended up getting resolved. The consular shroud fits the standard issues, the Reapers, and possibly the Overlord and the Omens. It has to fit the Overlord since its pretty much an MHS version of the DSI. Adz Blazing Red is a really deep red and I don't remember there being any orange in it. I just got a saber in PO and I would probably describe it as a rich orange. I have PMed him, but for other's reference, best way to check is remove the blade and shine the saber at a section of white wall or paper, like you would a torch. Dimmed lighting/ darkish room will make it more obvious. PO has a duller more orangey red light with a slither of green around the outside of one side, whereas BR is a vibrant red with uniform colour. Reason being, BR is just the red channel (or red LED), whereas PO is made from a RGB LED and seems to be a mixture of red and green. Title: Re: The Red Wrath! I was trying to figure out how to add some black elements to the main body and I like your suggestion of o-rings. I got it this week and it's my first Ultra Saber. I need to devise some kind of shim/colette for the Consular emitter to eliminate the amount of play around the blade (this needs to be done for the stock Shock emitter as well) and also find some kind of long thumb screw to use as the set screw. I'm just picky about the gap between the interior of the emitter and the blade. Definitely going to find some o-rings to add some dark accents to the main body. That said, the Shock saber with the stock parts looks pretty wicked in Blazing Red because of all the silver reflecting the red. In my opinion they just look better, plus if you get the standard aaa battery set up, as they start to die the color washes out bad. I will be getting non ultra edge blades on all of mt future sabers.

Both my sabers are blazing red with traditional AAA. I have standard Midgrade (tube effect) and UltraEdge (looks bitchin' in low/no light photos/video as the light fills the complete column) blades. I also just ordered (non US) 2 custom frosted red blades for bright indoor lighting/outdoor daylight situations. The latter will probably be my most wielded choice when they arrive because they seem to be the potential best combo of the aforementioned 1st two blades...And of course, they're "Red"...I'm a Sith Lord. ::) I don't saber duel so I have no need for Heavy grade and always carry extra AAA batteries to avoid dim/washed out blade effect in any environment. 8) Title: Re: The Red Wrath! Chosen One was my first ever UltraSaber and is primarily a show peice, its just a touch too thick for my hands to comfortably duel with, the Dominix is my "personal" saber for dueling and the like. The plugs do an excellent job of dulling the side LED's that it's pleasant to look at and not a distraction where I thought I had to remove them to enjoy the Flamberge with a natural cross guard. Will likely install QD's on the side at some point, but I am happy with this.

My first saber was an Initiate LE V4 just like that; windows, blazing red and an AV. It was a grab bag pull, as I typically avoid red blades. I know the feeling. Originally, though I considered myself more of a Grey Jedi, I chose to let people decide whether I was going more towards the Light or Dark side. I'l try to keep my emotions in check as long as I don't need them. If the fight gets so intense I can't hold back, then I'll say some nice words on the poor soul's grave once the darkness clears. These days I'm practicing my first exhibition fight as a Sith, so I'm letting the darkness closer to the surface than usual. Knowing I usually play a Jedi but have Grey tendencies and my opponent typically plays a Sith (while she's the sweetest person in real life...she screams whenever she actually lands a blow ;D ) it makes for an interesting new experience for both of us Title: Re: The Red Wrath! Flamberge with a modified emitter with the side extensions and LED's removed, a menace pommel, packing the classic Obs V3, BR blade with SY FoC. I replaced the set screws at the base of the cross guard with button head cap screws to add a touch of silver. This normally has a Consular emitter but my son has recently been an inspiration to me and I've brought it back to this configuration.

My plan from the beginning was to take it apart and make it into my War Saber, something kinda unique to myself. It's a lot of fun to play around with. Here are a few simple setups I've tried ... The yellow AV is beautiful and underrated IMO, I'd get more if I were ordering. My Flamberge was using the same LED, as it's BR/AS FoC module has a loose wire and is out of commission atm. Next to the Archon this is the best lightsaber US makes IMHO.

Everyt ime i see the single hilt Menace all i can think is it would look really good with a Dorinian pommel... The Dorinian pommel would prob balance nicely with the Menace. It's a pretty weighty piece, a little bit heavier than my Dark Mantis, so it's throwing my balance off a bit.
