Hey cstoehr.  For a Jedi you sure do Sith very well.  So we know who to send to infiltrate their ranks and hightail it with the bacon and cookie supply.  Like the appearance of all those sabers with red blade and your hand made custom sheath looks super.  +1.   ;D

The scabbard works very well with most sabers except the War Glaive / Dark War Glaive and Reapers.  With those sabers, the emitter claws are a problem and need to be removed in order to use the scabbard.  The scabbard works particularly well with the Malice and Flamberge.

Thanks Dauntless.  I actually don't view myself as exclusively Jedi or Sith.  I seek to balance both sides.

Very nice. I missed that thread at time. Very cool.

I attached the covertec wheel about 1 inch from the end of the scabbard.  The scabbard works fine with War Glaive / Dark War Glaive until the scabbard is attached to the covertec clip.  With the covertec clip attached, the War Glaive claws are not far enough apart to allow the clip between them.  If the covertec wheel is attached to the scabbard about 3 1/2" from the end of the scabbard, the covertec clip will be far enough down to not be in the way of the War Glaive claws.

As for the renegade blade...if we can find a way to make it seem unstable (like kylos blade appears to be) i think that hilt would instantly be in my shopping cart...still awesome though

That Renegade next to the Kylo Ren poster looks really sick. I got the Kylo Ren poster with the ships flying about and stuff. Now all I need is the original all black Flamberge saber to also hang the saber next to my poster when our move is done and stuff :P

Here is the Black Hooded Mantle (Red version forthcoming) I finished in lieu of a full cloak.
For the record, I'm wearing the mantle "under" my tunic exposing only the hood to avoid covering my tabards.

My mix-and-match Sith wardrobe is now complete and I will spend some time meditating on all that I have learned during my 1st ever sewing lesson (http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=25307.msg382661#msg382661).  8)

So I finally found my graduation gown and ours has a nice design on it and had the cool Sith design I thought it would so I'll post pics up later. My Sith costume is finally completed >:D Its just all simple stuff thrown together like before. That, the largemouth black Sith robe and tunic which will be for the outer because my gown has a zipper shown, hero-100 black boots, black belt just thrown together and a single black pouch plus my Blazing Red Shock saber. I think you guys will like the overall design =] Just wanted to post a long waited update on that

The charcoal grey-black combo, the utilitarian look of it, and the red glow...totally says Knight of Ren to me.  I've actually created a female Knight of Ren design myself (though it's not posted), and I could see this one working well with the Knights as well. :)

I've actually had that thing for years, it even pre dates FOC. lol. I actually got it off a forum member, Qui-Tom Helms(what ever happened to him anyway?). I actually JUST got the red module last week, and I love it! I may not change it out, even if I cosplay a Jedi(who says Jedi can't rock a red saber?), though I'm planning a Sith costume now.....

You're most welcome!  I'm kinda the opposite in that I have pretty large hands (long fingers, really), so the grip on my Flamberge works very well.

Yes, actually there is one in Switzerland that does quite well and another that may be interesting enough, or I just go to bigger cons in Germany. I hope that I have my Dark Shock until then, but if not, I will just go with the Prophecy, even as a dark side user ^^

You can always say it's the weapon you carried when you "fell," or say that it's a trophy off of a slain Jedi.

Sith can rock any blade color they want, so can Jedi. It's how you use it, not what color it is. And if a grown ass man wants to dress as a Sith, and rock a hot pink blade, more power to him!

I'm a guy who actually happens to like pink and purple(not in a "I pick that color" sort of way, but I'm not going to NOT buy most things(I'm not planning on rocking a pink hockey helmet anytime soon) just because I can only find it in pink or purple). Purple is my lightsaber color of choice, and I would TOTALLY rock a hot pink blade.

Haha, thank you, I had some moments of uncertainty there... but yeah, everything goes, and my personal favourite color is purple (so that's why I ordered my Emerald sabers with Dark Violet Amethyst as a default colour), but I also think that I would be some kind of "once a Jedi, now a Sith" kind of force user, or someone who does not care about balance (so no grey Jedi here), but can muster dark AND light force powers alike, and is fighting for the idea of the Sith code (peace is a lie, there is only passion!)

I expected DVA to be my favorite saber colour, but I was surprised at how sexy BH was. Though, let's be honest, all saber colors are awesome.

I love BH and DVA, they are both awesome colors.  I rock a Prophecy in BH and have both an Aeon v2 and a Crimson Reaper in DVA.

I imagine Bane's Heart to be what happens when the batteries in my VA saber are running low, only brighter. Is that correct?

Always nice to see another member with a Prophecy, at 5"6 and thin the hilt fits my hands perfectly.  The Prophecy has long been my favorite US hilt, it's why I have three of them (two regular and one Dark.)  Your pictures were awesome btw.  Have your 50th DS point on me.

I recommend a Dark Prophecy in BR at some point, it's fantastic.

I noticed. Nothing wrong with it. Sith come in every shape and size. My first was a Scorpion, which is thick but I have big hands, so I compare all others to that. When I received my D Proph, I was surprised by how narrow it felt.

Except those both have good batteries. :P I meant that pinking you get when VA needs it's batteries changed....

Hah, this is the happiness when you can have your costume hood fitting just right when in action. Rarely happens but this guy managed to Force it to stay that way. I would share his happiness if I could manage mine staying nicely on my head... :)

Get a mask, and strategically place some Velcro. It works like a charm.

A raffle now huh?  Perhaps I should get myself an Iniate V4.  A dark one with emitter windows, and three pike extensions.  Make it a staff.

Just FYI...mixed color LEDs have a tendency to not look so hot in a windowed emitter. the individual colors don't mix well that close to the light source, so it would look blue on one side, and red on the other side.

I had this experience when I ordered SY in my Manticore. However, BH does OK, but the single color LEDs do the best.

I only tried it briefly anyway.  Looked pretty good.  I've long since returned to red though. What can be said?  It just rocks IMO.

Oh, and I initially ordered orange as my FoC colour, but changed it to more red while I was playing around.

Not the same as the main blade colour, but slightly paler.  It looks fantastic.

Once you stick in a blade I have found that the colors tend to blend together up the shaft to tip.  Any separation is mainly more noticeable at the base including windows.  I have used a Lee filter to even out or tweek some mixed LED's closer to the color hue that I want.

I may have to invest in some of these Lee filters.

I find certain colours on emerald do this anyway, too. Most notably, I would say, is Sentinel Yellow. It has an awkward bright lime green colour on one side and an orange-y colour on the other, while the end of the blade is more of a bronze colour. This also happens with other yellows, plus whites that are made by mixing RGB or RGBW. I find it is noticable in some pinkish-purples too, but nowhere near as much as yellows and whites. This is on a 36 inch Midgrade Ultraedge.

Darth Logos, how do like your Scorpion hilt?  I want one of those.  It's a longer one, if memory serves me...

That's because the two LEDs used to produce yellow are red and green. It's some weird physics thing with light.

R+G=Y
R+B=V
G+B=Cyan  :-\

But in cases when light is reflected of an object, R+Y=O & B+Y=G. It's something that I understand that it works, but never understood how.

As far as the whites go, just turn the W channel up on an RGBW. RGB white has a pinkish hue to it.
The Emerald produced SY looks much better than the mixed MLS, though.


Tehehe >:D I love it. It's a little on the heavy side, but its balance negates it. It's also thicker than the average hilt diameter, which suited my big hands just fine. It is long, but most of its extra length is due to the non-MHS emitter section and pommel. The grip area is roughly the same as an average hilt. I've developed a way to drastically reduce length and weight for sparring, though. ;D

My only qualms with it are minor. 1) Its details are a bit on the bulky side, which makes it awkward to clip. 2) The Covertec is placed in the center. Due to the claw, it would be more ideally placed to one side.

Sorry for the confusion. The pommel is MHS, and the large silver section of the emitter is MHS threaded.

The large black windowed section is part of the shroud, and does not come off.



Is there really any other color needed? I like how the light reflects off the guard emitter to look like windows.

Now as I said, the Scorp has a shroud around the main body, so the end of a Yari won't lay flush with the outer diameter. But it should still look pretty wicked as a pike, if that is your objective.

Ok, now you're confusing me. Are you sure you know the difference between a pike and a staff?

My EG Dark Apprentice V4 LE with windows is just fine, no mixing issues.  Also haven't had a problem with any color on  my Emerald driven Dark Menace staff.  That said, all of those have fairly deep seating for the blade, so they may just have enough room for the colors to fully mix in the blade film before the light reaches the windows.  Blade plugs, on the other hand, do look funny from the front with the mixed colors on.

Ok, perhaps pike is the wrong term.  I'm adding three yari extensions to a saber.  Essentially making a staff/walking stick - with a burny end.

I have a limp anyway, so this makes perfect sense.  I have no idea why I didn't think of this sooner...Oh wait, I do know.  I'm simply not that smart. :)

Lord Rapine, just make sure you don't try to put your weight on the blade end...it won't grip anything.  I had a minor injury recently to my toe and tried to lean on my Flamberge, so do beware that.

Hopefully over next weekend I'll (finally) be shooting a video review of my saber so you'll see why proportionally that saber worked proportionally with me to where I would even try that.

A blue Flamberge looks awesome, and the staff thingy is way cool :)

Prowl: thank you! I cannot really wield this saberstaff-thing... :D it's too heavy and too bulky. Yes, I have a Prophecy (now sent in for repair) and a Dark Prophecy on the way (waiting to be shipped), I think they're awesome! But my favourite saber is the Dark Shock, cannot wait to have it

Justicar: it's actually a white LED on the switch, but the light of the blue LED makes it look blueish. The handling is ok, not as smooth as with the Prophecy or even with the Dominix, but the detailing is not what bothers me... I will write another review, then I can explain this a little bit better

I'm very much liking that sword.  As I mentioned in the raffle thread to Jed, my Shock LE is hands down the most comfortable saber I have for spinning and practicing with, although I did take off the wheel.

Im more of a peaceful Jedi :) but I keep my emerald dominix staff in Blazing Red. I honestly never thought id like red but it looks amazing.

I specced mine with a 40", but I must say a 36" is looking quite good. I've thinking about getting a pair of guard blades cut to 4" to see how that looks.

You can actually see it with the 4" in my video.  For me it works since I have a smaller frame.  What it almost does is create the appearance of having a 40" with 6" crossguards (proportionally speaking), but scaled down for my size.

Excellent. That is exactly what I was going for. For me, a 36 is just the perfect blade length.

I'll try to get some new pics of mine, with 4" sides and a 40" main.

That's a beast! I really dig those pommels.

It does kind of make the Flamberge look that little bit more sithy to have the Renegade pommel.  I love the regular Flamberge V2 pommel, but I think I'll need a spare Renegade LE pommel for when I go red on the Flamberge (borrowed this one from a Dark Sentinel V4 LE).

The Dominix is indeed a mighty hilt, though I prefer the V3 myself.

The Dominix LE V4 was my first saber too. In BR. It's still my favorite.

It's my first with sound and I'm loving it. Can't wait to really work on it and start dueling with it.

I have a buddy that I duel with semi-regularly that has a graflex w/ sound, but we normally fight with stunt sabers so I'm eager to add sound to the mix

I can't believe I didn't consider that. But considering his power, I doubt that the Sith Empire would have fallen if he were still alive. We are talking about someone that literally consumed all the life from a planet so completely that nothing decayed and the Force was wholly absent within its sphere.

SWTOR suggests he deliberately abandoned the Sith Empire and tried a new experiment (the Eternal Empire), where he claimed to have transcended Light and Dark (really just created a Brave New World instead of 1984 in my opinion).  That's what the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion is about.

The Sarlacc was a dangerous, carnivorous creature, as well as one of Jabba the Hutt's favorite pets, that inhabited the Great Pit of Carkoon in the Dune Sea of Tatooine. It shared common ancestry with other known species, including the rathtar, blixus and vixus.

Towering at a hundred meters in height, its entire body was buried in sand, save its massive mouth and beaked tongue. The Sarlacc had several appendages that branched off from its buried body, and many stomachs. The creature swallowed its prey whole, and rows of hundreds of spear-like teeth kept the victim from climbing back out.

After Luke Skywalker killed Jabba's rancor as part of his rescue of Leia Organa, Han Solo and Chewbacca, Jabba became outraged and ordered that they all be fed to the Sarlacc. Luke described this as being the last mistake that he would ever make, but Jabba was unimpressed and had the group escorted out. Upon arrival at the Great Pit, Skywalker, using his recently developed skills as a Jedi Knight, effected the group's rescue, and a number of Jabba's guards ended up becoming victims of the Sarlacc instead. The bounty hunter Boba Fett was also knocked into the mouth of the Sarlacc by Han Solo.

Biology and appearance:

Sarlaccs would begin their lives as spores and were able to travel great distances. When a male and female encountered one another, the smaller male would parasitically feed off the female, diminishing her size while increasing his own. Once the male reached the female's original size, he would burst, releasing millions of spores into the air and atmosphere.

Once Sarlaccs reached their maturity after 30,000 years, they would burrow themselves nearly 100 meters below the surface, feeding on creatures unfortunate enough to fall into their mouths. Victims of the Sarlacc would be injected with immobilizing neurotoxins that caused constant pain, and, while still conscious, would be digested for millennia.

Behind the scenes:

The sound of the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi was created from sounds of alligator hisses, as well as the sounds of some of the Jedi crew's stomachs after eating pizza.

In the re-release of Return of the Jedi, the Sarlacc in the Pit of Carkoon was revised to include a beak-like tongue and extra tentacles. According to Lucas, this was done because he never felt the creature seemed alive in the original film.

The Sarlacc was a semi-sentient, plant-like, omnivorous creature found on several planets across the galaxy. Not much was known about this creature, but it was unique in terms of galactic species. It lived to be tens of thousands of years old, and reproduced by spores. One particular specimen of Sarlacc was located in the Great Pit of Carkoon on Tatooine. It tortured the famous bounty hunter Boba Fett, who eventually managed to escape. While Jabba the Hutt has claimed it as a pet, it arrived on Tatooine of its own accord. A Sarlacc could be found on Felucia, and was the location where Shaak Ti was slain by Darth Vader's secret apprentice, Galen Marek. Another Sarlacc was known to dwell in the pit on the planet Aargonar's moon Aargonar 3. Besides the famous one, yet another Sarlacc dwelled on Tatooine right next to some Ancient Ruins. It attempted to devour Darth Tyranus while he was dueling Anakin Skywalker, but the Count used an exertion of the Force to escape and then fled from battle.

Lifespan

The lifespan of a Sarlacc had been estimated to measure 20,000 to 50,000 years. Younger members of the species could move under the sands rapidly and catch their prey much faster, while older ones remained immobile, waiting for prey to stumble into their clutches. Females generally grew much larger than males, to the point that breeding required that the male attach itself to the female, being entirely dependent on their much larger companion. Adults generally had little to fear, as only the greater Krayt dragon of Tatooine, and the Gouka dragon of Aargonar were known to prey upon them.


One of the known specimens of the species resided in the Great Pit of Carkoon, beneath the sands of the Dune Sea on the remote planet of Tatooine. Most Sarlacci preferred damp environments, but they could live nearly anywhere including the desert sands of Tatooine.

The largest known Sarlacc in galactic history resided on the planet Felucia within the Ancient Abyss. The Jedi Master Shaak Ti was able to tame this beast and it assisted her in her duel with Starkiller. However, she lost the duel and was swallowed by the beast. It possessed massive tendrils and teeth that spread out over an area of the Abyss that was kilometers across. This Sarlacc was capable even of using its tentacles to drag great beasts like rancors into its maw or to crush attackers. In 2 BBY, it was restrained by the Galactic Empire in order to hunt down the remaining Felucians, although it was later freed by a redeemed Starkiller.

Xenobiologists were unsure as to whether the Sarlacc was animal or plant, as it possessed the characteristics of both kingdoms, but most scientists preferred the theory that the Sarlacc was a giant plant organism. Data taken from Boba Fett's helmet suggested that it was more like a plant.

Biology

The Sarlacc was a large, omnivorous arthropod with long tentacles that rimmed its mouth. They reproduced by spores, known as "Sarlacci," that traveled through space until they found another suitable planet to inhabit. After implanting itself into the ground, the Sarlacci grew downward like a plant, forming a pit. The mouth and tentacles were the most visible parts of the Sarlacc. The rest of the Sarlacc's massive anatomical features were buried up to one hundred meters deep in the ground. This guaranteed protection of the Sarlacc's vital organs made it invulnerable to most forms of serious damage. The teeth of the Sarlacc surrounded its beak-like tongue and plant-like tentacles in tiers. Its teeth were also slightly slanted inward ensuring its prey would remain trapped. While its lightning-fast tentacles are used to snatch up its prey, they were not its primary means of capturing a meal. The Sarlacc discharged odors and scents that lured herbivores and scavengers close enough for it to use its tentacles.[6] Sarlaccs had a very odd body shape. The Sarlacc's mouth was the only part of the body visible, usually. Most of its body was covered in rigid plates. It had eight appendages beneath the ground used for stability or for reburial if the Sarlacc became partially exposed. The body of the Sarlacc ended in three roots used for moisture absorption.

Despite their size, the Sarlacc did not need to eat very much at a time. They were almost entirely immobile, which means they had to be able to survive for prolonged periods without food. As a result, they also digested their food very slowly. It was even said that Sarlaccs could be telepathic and could gain consciousness from the creatures they ate by assimilating their thoughts and memories during digestion.

Anatomy

The Sarlacc's body did not have a skeletal structure or a solid framework, but it did possess a strong muscular body with large roots and a series of nerve endings on its skin.

The Sarlacc also had roots on the outside of its body to leech the nutrients from the ground and to sense the vibrations from creatures on the desert sands. The Sarlacc lacked eyes and ears, instead relying on the sensors in its roots to "see" its prey. The Sarlacc's mouth contained large mucus-coated teeth and strong tentacles for catching prey. The tentacles grabbed prey and pulled them into its maw, whereas the inward-pointed teeth functioned to keep victims in the mouth.

The Sarlacc also had a large beak that emerged from the throat. The "beak", in reality, was the Sarlacc's tongue, and the tongue within the tongue was actually yet another stubby tentacle that aided in swallowing prey. The Sarlacc's throat had many veins and vessels which acted as sensors to determine the size, weight, and strength of the victim, allowing the Sarlacc to decide which stomach to put its prey into; stronger prey were put into the secondary stomachs, while smaller prey went into the main stomach.


The Sarlacc's throat also possessed many microscopic openings that dispersed mucus to keep the throat healthy—the sand, gravel, or whatever the case was (as environment varies from one Sarlacc to the other) that dropped into the mouth could damage the lining of the throat. The more the Sarlacc ate, the more the stomachs ran out of room, and, in rare cases, it used a small number of its victims to grow the stomachs by enmeshing those few victims into the stomachs. The Sarlacc also used small air holes around its mouth for breathing.

The Sarlacc's roots functioned as tentacles during adolescence, and then grew into full immovable stalks during adulthood. They absorbed tiny fungal life forms, bugs, and microscopic cells and bacteria into the body from the ground for nutrients. The Sarlacc's body could also absorb liquid molecules through small openings in the roots, to keep its water level up.

The tentacles on the mouth were actually thin strong tongues that could feel and taste the ground and prey. The beaks of other Sarlaccs had other tongues within their beak that emerged to grab prey and directly pull them into its beak. The tentacles were known to stretch as far as four meters to grab prey.

Although Sarlaccs were usually immense in size, some miniaturized versions of the species existed and were traded as pets, such as in the case of Phileas.

Sarlacc vocalizations were comparable to high-pitched screeches. However, they do occasionally emit a loud belching sound when consuming prey.

Digestive system

The Sarlacc's gaping, teeth-lined maw, as seen from the surface.

Only the Sarlacc's gaping maw could be seen from the surface, with the vast majority of its huge body lying beneath the ground. It lay in wait for any living creature to stumble into its maw, and additionally, it pulled nearby victims in with one of its many tentacles. A Sarlacc's mouth was surrounded by rows of retractable razor-sharp teeth, used to chew victims during adolescence, before the digestive system was fully formed. Adult Sarlaccs developed a beaked, snake-like tongue at the center of the fearsome pit, which doubled as a mouth.

After being swallowed by the tongue, the victim made its way into the Sarlacc's stomach to be digested, purportedly being kept alive and slowly digested for a millennium. A strong network of vessels inside the stomach punctured the victim's skin and muscles and then embedded itself into victims before injecting neurotoxins into them, preventing the victims from escaping and ensuring that they remained immersed in the acidic fluids in the stomach, and attached to the walls of the stomach.

The vessels also provided victims with nutrients to keep them alive while they were digested in agony; sometimes when a victim was in the stomach for a long time period, the Sarlacc actually embedded it in the lining of the stomach to make room for other victims it swallowed and to make the stomach stronger so that other victims could not escape participially once their digestion was complete and were free to become One with the Force.


A number of smaller, secondary stomachs were used to store victims for later consumption at times when the Sarlacc needed larger amounts of nutrients, such as when it needed to grow, breed, or strengthen its tentacles and beak for catching stronger, larger prey. The secondary stomachs also functioned as a space to store victims when the main stomach ran out of room, although this was rare as the Sarlaccs were an exceptionally feared creature in the Galaxy. The acidic fluids in the stomachs were composed of weak chemicals that took much longer to digest prey than acids in the stomach of other creatures. They specifically targeted skin and muscle tissue, because that was where the nutrients in the victims were. The secondary stomachs were also lined with more vessels and were smaller and more cramped to enclose the victims in, so that the Sarlacc did not have to deal with the victim trying to escape its hold. The pain endured by its victims in this process was reputed to be unimaginable, with only rare individuals such as Boba Fett being able to resist.

In addition to the acidic fluids that digested the outer portions of the victims, the Sarlacc also processed its victims from within. The Sarlacc's blood was highly caustic, and was employed in the digestion of prey. The tendrils and vessels pumped the Sarlacc's acidic blood into its victims to digest the inside of their bodies, and to carry back nutrients from the victims. This process also provided the victims with minimal sustenance.

A Sand People legend told of how the Sarlacc gave birth to itself in Tatooine's planetary core in the days before the twin suns split apart from a single star. According to this legend, it would continue to eat everything it came in contact with until eventually it was forced to consume itself. Though this was obviously not a true account of the Sarlacc's origin, the Tuskens themselves refused to accept any other explanation.

When a male Sarlacc, who starts off much smaller than a female made contact with a female, the male attached himself to her in a parasitic fashion. He gradually became larger as she became smaller. After several thousand years the female is digested into oblivion and he becomes the equivalent size of her, replacing the area where she once existed. The male then injected sperm into the spore production sac. Afterwards, the melded couple released the fertilized spores, which could leave the atmosphere and travel long distances through the Galaxy to other planets. Because of this fantastic ability to propagate, the species' point of origin was never accurately determined. Once the spore settled down, it attached itself to an organism and sucked blood from it to feed itself. After detaching, it developed into a more mobile larva and was able to hunt and consume prey.

As it grew, the voracious larva would eventually challenge larger creatures. If the Sarlacc larva was consumed by a bigger creature, the larva would kill it and eat it from the inside, assuming its consumer had swallowed it in more or less one piece. During this stage, it developed into a large worm-like creature with many tentacles and a beak-like maw. Eventually, the larva would dig itself into a pit, growing roots to anchor itself in the ground while it grew into a full sized Sarlacc, becoming largely immobile and more plant-like. The roots also functioned to absorb additional nutrients from the ground as a precaution against shortages of prey. A larger mouth formed around the beak, which became more like a tongue.

Semi-sentience

Jabba Desilijic Tiure sentenced Luke Skywalker and his companions to "death by Sarlacc" in 4 ABY. Prior to his execution, Luke Skywalker was able to retrieve his lightsaber from the astromech droid R2-D2 and free his companions. In addition to numerous other casualties during the ensuing battle, Han Solo obliviously knocked the notorious bounty hunter, Boba Fett, into the pit with a force pike. However, Fett remained alive and—using his jet-pack and weapons—blasted himself out some time later, becoming one of the only beings ever known to escape from a Sarlacc's belly alive.

While studying a holographic recording recovered from Fett's helmet camera, Senior Anthropologist Mammon Hoole discovered an unsettling revelation: the beast apparently possessed the ability to telepathically torture its prey. In this recording, Fett appeared to be reacting to stimuli that did not exist, suggesting that Sarlacc were capable not only of communication, but apparently of malevolence, feeding off of the fears of their prisoners. This led Hoole to classify the Sarlacc as a semi-sentient creature. It was also believed that the consciousnesses of the Sarlacc's victims joined to create a huge network of awareness. The victims were able to communicate with one another through this ghoulish network. As the Sarlacc absorbed the thoughts of its victims, it would become more and more intelligent, to the point where a Sarlacc could almost predict what its victims would do in its stomachs to try and escape, or when it was hunting its prey.

The only other being known to have escaped the Sarlacc was Zorba the Hutt who was swallowed by the Sarlacc, but was regurgitated shortly thereafter. According to Zorba, the reason for his survival was that no Sarlacc could possibly hope to digest a Hutt.

Darth Vader's secret apprentice, Starkiller, was the only being known to have voluntarily journeyed inside a Sarlacc, on Felucia. He survived the digestive mechanisms and escaped unharmed.

Another mysterious and unique incident occurred with the Tatooine Sarlacc and a girl called Shaara. While she fell into the Great Pit of Carkoon, she was thrown back out before any attempt was made to digest her, unlike the Stormtroopers that had given her chase. There were no clear reasons why the Sarlacc had spared her.

The Sarlacc of Tatooine identified itself closely with one of its first victims, a Choi named Susejo. Oddly enough, Susejo and the beast had seemingly merged in consciousness to the point where the former could control the actions of the latter.

The fibrous vessels in the stomachs connected victims together. The digestive fluids and the Sarlacc's blood traveled through the vessels and into the victims, which were connected in the manner of an electrical current, bringing the victim's minds, thoughts, bodies, and spirits together, keeping them at one with the Sarlacc's body, brain, and soul.

Having long admired the patience of the Sarlacc, the Jedi Order named a form of lightsaber combat, Shii-Cho, after the beast.

This was my first attempt at a Sith outfit. It was a rushed job for Star Wars celebration in Anaheim. I think it came out pretty well considering I got/put everything together in less than 2-3 weeks. Using my MR Darth Vader lightsaber since I didn't have any US Sith lightsabers at this time. It's actually not a hood but a shemagh (I hope I spelled that right) that I got to act like a hood. I was in a rush to put this costume together and that was my best choice at the time

Giglamesh: haha thanks, but Logos is right, if you are distracted by the looks of your enemy, you will lose (other than that: passion!)

Darth Logos: it's FO (with BR FoC), I tried to be as near on "gold" as possible, and I thought that FO will do a better job than SY; after some research I also found especially the Aeon LE V4 doing a better job on being a "golden" saber with FO than with SY

Darth Blightus: thank you but unfortunately I cannot keep the saber, it's for a friend of mine, I'm just... guarding it for another 9 days ;D

This answers the question as to why super heroines dress so scantily. It's a distraction technique.
 

The reason I ask is because it looks way more yellow in the pic than IRL. Non-Emerald SY is just too bright, and the color gets washed out in photos.

I woke up remembering that I had identified myself to someone as Sith in my dreams last night.  It's not the first time it's happened.  Granted, the character I am in those dreams is a SWTOR-style Grey/Light Sith, but even in the dreams it is so funny/frustrating to watch people not know what the heck to make of me!

@Layana, I feel you there x.x I'm still working on getting a more proper belt for my Jedi costume. For now it kinda has an ANH look to it but with pre-quell trilogy style costume looks. I found one belt I really want that has a look of both, its pretty sweet. Has an original trilogy buckle but pre-quell trilogy base belt so its both gens mixed into one basically plus then the capsules as well then I'll be set =]

I should hope so. If I'm not mistaken, Sith blades have always had a different sound; higher pitched. This may have been what led to the saber lore that the Sith use synth crystals.
