Ok... this thread is a simple one... just want to see what YOU guys like to do with your Obsidian parameters.  Share what YOU like to do to slightly "tweak" the motion settings and so forth.

The best & most logical way I think we can share them is simply as such:

"DEFAULT SETTINGS"
180  2  10  50  125

That way, you don't have to keep typing out "threshold" and "integration time", etc.  We should all assume that the parameters refer to the order in which they appear (which is obvious from the string of numbers above, since those are the defaults).

Also... please describe a bit what you would consider these parameters to be "for"... such as:

"Sensitive to swings, very tough to get clashes unless you hit very hard"
or...
"Slightest motion causes swing sounds, light taps get sound effects as well"
and/or...
"Swings & Clashes can occur much more rapidly in between one another"

With enough input from the folks on the forum who have Obsidian sabers... we can get a wide range of "good setups to try", and I could even imagine these being "presets" for future versions of the loader software.

Sensitive to swings + just a little harder to get a clash

I've been playing with this since i got mine. I have been trying to get the unit to be a little more sensitive for the initiate V3 and have found this to work.
70 3 5 60 85 swing seems more balance to impact.
75 2 6 50 85 more sensitive on impact.

My archon V2 is different with the blade being longer the balance is completly different.
the swing is set about the same, but the impact seems to be more sensitive in the hilt. when you hit the tip it doesn't always impact a sound. You can make it clash from hit the hilt, snapping your wrest to hard.
I'm still playing with the settings on this.

it seems to me that the boards my be different from each other. Giving them a little different setting from each other. Either that or the different hilts.

Mine is set like so: 53, 5, 7, 46, 72
Fairly sensitive to motion and impacts. How cool is it that we can adjust our sabers, and get the precise configurations we like? UltraSabers rock, said it before and will probably say it again. :)

For my Shadow Of Prey I just put :

88  3  7  50  60


It's just great for twisting, good sensitivity with only few fakes, and a a great sensitivity for impacts almost without fakes with a small time delay between each clash (little bit more than half a second) =)

Modified it for 90 4 cause too sensitive

I'm in waiting, in this 2 other days, for my new Guardian "Full Optional"... (I love call it like this becouse i've buyed all the best options from the site and i make a Big review of this soon!!!).

When i have it in my hands i think i try to start with the Classic Sound... I'm in search to make somthing like the Heirloom of CF ;)

But, for now, the Classic it's my best sound  ;D

This post really helped me out. Thanks Novastar for letting others share sensitivity level settings. I'm still kind of a noob at the Obsidian thing but I'm starting to understand it more. =] I hope you guys patch things up so maybe in the future you can let us use more fonts. There is some more mixing ideas I'd like to try. Episode II, Novastar original font, and a few others. =]

lol Zren, novastar hasnt been on the forums in a looooooooooooooong time. And the last post on this thread is more than 6 months old.

Hmm, no trouble in reviving a useful thread. Since there are now more people with obsidian sabers perhaps more people will be willing to post their settings. Point for Zren.

What is set on your son's Prophecy? Does he like to have quick swings or slow ones also?

I have recently purchased a saber with sound and came across this thread which I thought could be real useful but it looks like it never really took off for some reason...

Anyone care to add any more custom parameters?

The default settings just don't cut it on my dark initiate V4 LE  for some reason. I will tinker with some of the suggestions from members on this thread and see how it goes.

BTW I have made up a DBZ themed font package and will add this to the fonts thread somehow, sometime if I can iron out the bugs  :P

^^^Finally someone made my childhood show into a saber sound font :D Can't wait to hear the results. Hope the Super Saiyan energy shield thing is the hum because that's what I always imagined. Then Kamehameha lockup for saber lockup

My Padawan has opted for the Obsidian default. He loves it!

It is way lacking in it's present state, I thought I had it sussed but then realised once loading the font to my saber that it required a fair it of tweaking to be a useable, decent sounding set of sound files.

I would be happy to send this to someone who had the skills and knowledge to finish it off. It has 9 impact, 9 swing, 1 power down, 1 power up, 1 lockup, 1 idle and a DBZ themed boot sound. And yes, the hum is the Super Saiyan energy shield thing :P

I also have the V4 Initiate LE and have the same issues. I'm using Blackstar font. I've tweaked quite a few things, and still not right. My Scorpion on factory settings works perfect though. Hardly any misfires, good responsive swings, very accurate clashes. Just can't seem to get my initiate right

My settings are:

Sensitive swings, but not too much.
Somewhat sensitive hits, allowing for them in quick succession but without false hits.

I know the last time someone posted here was like 3 years ago, but it still helps people new to UltraSabers with a starting off point in tweaking there settings. New people like me.

the motion and impact seem very well balanced
