Hey Star Wars fans, as you all know there is a new movie coming out on Christmas and in a way hearing that rekindled my love for lightsaber duals.
So in light of that, I went ahead and made these sparring dummies, they're very easy to make if you want a step by step guide I'll be more than happy to oblige.
I love Ultrasabers, their product and customer service have made me a loyal customer, I can dual with these light sabers for hours on end as well. I hope you enjoy watching!

That's awesome. Dude, you should totally find some way of hooking those up to a machine hinge or something to make it more random and scary. Some kind of gyroscope, I dunno.

OOHHHHHH, JUST THOUGHT!!! Those of you with washing lines.. why not tie the sabers to the line and run backwards and forwards around them sparring as you go! Great for those Gauntlet lovers! hehe..

As for how to make the dummies, I just grabbed 2 old sweaters (with zippers) and filled the body section in with two square pillows, for the sleeves I just put a scarf in each sleeve to give the arms weight so the dummy can swing the light saber it's holding faster and farther in every direction more efficiently. I generously taped the light saber hilt to the sleeves with electrical tape, not to high up the sleeve or the light saber wont move as much.
   
I tied the hood section of the sweater to a piece of rope than ran the rope through one of the boards in my ceiling to hold the dummy up. Remember, the lower the dummy is to the ground, the longer it takes to swing at you. Make sure the dummy is tied up high, it will move a lot faster and harder. As you can tell from the video they're pretty simple looking, but you can take more time on their appearance and turn them into a sith or jedi, whatever your preference may be.
   
You don't have to just have two dummies, dualling just one dummy is very fun to do and is very easy. I was using 3 dummies at one point but it was too difficult and I just use 2 dummies now. If you don't have any light sabers you can just use broomsticks instead, but be careful the broomsticks hurt a lot when they hit you, trust me!

I am so happy you guys like them and I know you'll like them as much as I do if you decide to make them, I can literally spar for hours with these dummies, the awesome part is that they don't get tired until you do! hahaha

As for the sparring,
The sparring itself is really enjoyable, you actually feel like your dualling someone and once you get the hang of the dummies movements, you can get some pretty seamless combo's going. I like to keep records of how many combo's I can do and I've gotten 42 blade strikes in a row, meaning I've connected with a dummies blade 42 times without missing or getting hit myself. I'll post more videos of the dummies in action!

Here is some more footage of my sparring dummies in action. Like I said previously, I can literally dual with these guys for hours until the batteries need to be recharged. I edited out some of the video because one of the swinging blades caught me in the face hahah, you'll notice in the video how high the lightsaber goes at some points. Who knows, maybe I should have kept that footage in the video!  :P

 I can't believe there is no damage to any of my lightsabers yet, I've been putting them through some really rough duals when I start getting into it and they're still perfect. 1000$ dollars well spent! Don't worry, I only spent a thousand because I live in Ontario the shipping was a lot, and I have 4 lightsabers and 3 of them have sound!

Hey again Star Wars fans (the best people on earth)!! I swapped blades with my cousin today, his blade length is 24" and mine is 37". I thought swapping for a smaller blade would help make the dummies move quicker! Turns out that was a good decision, as the video footage shows you.
The combos are quicker, the movements are much more sporadic, and the blade can now reach higher for a whole new range of strikes. ENJOY!

By practicing more, and the more I adjust the dummies, the more fun they are becoming to dual against. I've also dropped my Ultra sabers on the concrete floor and they haven't showed any damage yet! Here's some new footage to keep those that care up to date, enjoy!

I just bought a coupler (silver) for my lightsabers so I can build a staff, so I went ahead and put together some footage of it in action these past 2 days. I must say the staff is really tricky to get the hang of, but when you do the combo's are awesome. Also, double wielding was very difficult aswell, but not as much as using a staff. I'm not very good at it... YET, but I hope you enjoy the video!

Hey Elliott! Never asked before, what sabers do you actually have? and do you have pics of them?

I don't have pictures now but I will upload one or two when I upload my next sparring video this week.

My three sabers are:

Dark Initiate Le v3 with sound (guardian blue)
Dominix Le v4 with sound (Purple)
Initiate Le v4 with sound (Consular Green)

Still no signs of damage on any of them!

Hey Star Wars Fans! I just ordered my 5th lightsaber from Ultrasabers. The Initiate LE v3 in artic blue with the v4 obsidian soundboard! I will post a video as soon as it arrives, and I'll do a huge review on my saber collection!

Thanks dude! I know what you mean I recently just re-watched the first video I uploaded and compared to my last one there's a lot of improvement! Before I was scared they would break on me but I'm pretty rough with them now and they've still held up beautifully!

Also, my dark prophecy (Blazing Red) came in the mail the other day! I love the feel of the prophecy hilts, and they are much thinner then I was expecting. Here is some footage of my new prophecy in action, enjoy!

Hey Star Wars fans! It's been a few months since I've posted anything on the forum, so here is my latest Saber Trainer footage! I switched the electronics around in my Dark Initiate and my Initiate LE v4 so now the Dark Initiate is Consular Green and the LE v4 is Guardian Blue! Still no damage on any of my 7 ultrasabers, and I've only been getting rougher and quicker with them. Starting to see some physical changes in myself too from doing this for so long! Enjoy guys!
