That's not what you want....

Do you have any pics to help us out?

At the moment, based on what I'm reading, unless you have the chops to fix it yourself, I'd email US to get it fixed. The good news is that the saber is under warranty.

Sometimes my ports can be a little finicky as they seem just a hair small, so I usually have to hold the entire battery pack for leverage while I insert the USB cord. Just try as much as you can not to force it in.

Okay, that's really not how it should look like. This is not an offend, but did you ever put force onto the top of the port when you inserted or removed the USB cable? I can't imagine that this would happen just by moving the battery pack into and out of the hilt. Also, can you check if the Emerald board's port looks similar? If yes, you might want to show these to Emory and request further assistance on how to handle this issue(s). As I said, this doesn't look normal, so I would really contact him - make sure you include those pics ;)

Okay, I would see what Emory says then. I'm sure he will suggest sending it in for replacement. Customer service is outstanding at Ultrasabers, so this is definitely the way to go :)

Hey Beastly,

Just wanted to say when i first got my dominix sabers nearly a year ago, one of them had the same issue you had, though right out of the box. I emailed Emory about it and he gave me permission to attempt a fix, which did not work and resulted in said connection coming off the board, still covered by warranty as I had let him know about it before i did anything. I sent it in (i had the saber for less than a week) and they fixed the connection, the battery casing in my other dominix (it was cracked a bit) and, since i had sent both my sabers in, I decided to get them upgraded with recharge ports (WELL WORTH IT). Turn around was really fast (about a week full trip) and their CS is great. Of course there was payment (for shipping and the upgrades) but it wasnt as bad as i thought it would have been at the time.

Edit: Ah wth....I swear the date was more recent :| sorry about the necro post
