Yeah, I won a third prize Saber from the Summer Raffle, so for them to do this as often as they do is amazing! The hilt will be random, but I'm not one to be picky.  I'll be stoked no matter what I get!

Honestly, I'm really not sure. I'd definitely want to get a hilt I don't already have. So right now I'm looking at the Shock LE, the Arbiter, the Scorpion, the Consular, the Guardian, and the Fulcrum. Those are ones that I really like.

So I'll just dream for a bit and wait for that email.

Btw, I keep going back and checking the order number to make sure that I'm not seeing things. I've never won anything in my life. Like ever. This is... I don't want to quote the dictionary, so you can fill in that blank. :P

I'm still blown away.  I didn't expect anything (well, I never EXPECT anything, it's a raffle, after all) beyond the super awesome Ahsoka hilts that I ordered, and I've been very fortunate with my past entries, so I was hunting the list for names I knew as winners, when...wait, what?  Me?

OMFG!!!!!!!

Wait, what?  A first place?  You mean I ordered two mega-awesome Emerald sabers, but I'll be getting a total of three Emerald sabers?  OMFWTFBBQMTFBWY!

But I'm even more stoked to see not only familiar names getting prizes, but particular names.  Many people did their best to be truly force sensitive, to get bigBear a saber with sound, at last, and what happens?  Awesome happens, that's what.

Also, I like to jokingly think that I know exactly how to guarantee myself an Emerald prize win.  I've had my mind made up for a good, long while, as to just which sabers I would get if I were to win (Graflex CE and Chosen One CE) an Emerald prize, so all I have to do is just go ahead and buy myself both of those sabers, with Emerald drivers, and I'd win the next raffle, for sure!

Well, enough random thoughts, I'm super tired (was woken up by my wife calling me that she needed a pick up, she got sent home from work early), and I need to go to sleep, with visions of khyber crystals dancing in my head.

Big thanks to Ultrasabers, not just for the raffles, but for making a whole bunch of awesome sabers, in such a great variety.

I like the Scorpion and Guardian, as I don't have those either, and funny thing about checking the order #. Your first post prompted me to verify mine, too.  The first order I placed as an entry ended up being "the one" for me.

Didn't actually enter as I placed an order for parts just about a week before the start and dried up funds a little.
Definitely eyeing the Fulcrum and Lost Gray. Looking forwards to the reviews from those that will be getting them shortly. I'm already thinking about how I will mod mine when I eventually place an order.

I'm always fascinated, when I or others have made multiple entries, to see just which entry won them a prize.

In this case, it was my Emerald Fulcrum.

1st stop I made when I hopped on was my e-mail.....just to make sure I didn't have a clone sitting around.

It took them a few hours to get emails out, or at least to get mine out.  Not that its surprising, they've been running around, hitting cons left and right.  Last night was probably like "Hey, Emory, remember to run the random number generator and type up the results before you go home."

Emory:  "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu...I just want to sleep!  Dammit.  Okay, I guess I'll be awesome to our customers again.  I can sleep when I'm a Force ghost."

As it soon as it slows a bit, I might be able to narrow in on something   :D  Yeah, two Fulcrums or Lost Grays together in a staff would be amazing.  Not a bad idea... get another Fulcrum for one of them and maybe a Menace for the second one - I could make a pretty cool staff with a Menace and a Lost Gray together.  Hmmm...

Ha, ha... nice!  Thanks, JC!  The more I look at the Bellicose the more I like it, at least in pictures, so like many awaiting the delivery of their Fulcrum and/or Lost Gray to gaze upon with their own eyes, in person, I'm awaiting the same for my Bellicose, or the "belli" as I've seen it called... and IT is my first Emerald RGBA, so really stoked for that, too!

Pretty much my reaction to winning as well, along with a massive spittake of coffee all over my monitor at work. Plus I couldn't get to the US website at work, so my Golden Ticket shopping starts now.

I can't see myself using the coupler, but if I ever did, I'd want it to be symmetrical with some model I had. The Fulcrum seemed the best match.

What do you think about two Lost Gray's as a staff, since it's shorter?

I could see it working physically/logistically, but personally the Lost Grey doesn't appeal to me personally as a saber (not a knock on US, the design and shotos in general just aren't the droids I'm looking for.)

Personally, I think the Lost Gray would make a fantastic staff (pending actually getting mine in hand).

And now i wait for my menace to come into stock so i can get my second place prize and 2 grab bag sabers ...

Okay, then let's do some comparisons to sabers that I have in staff form.

My Emerald Dark Menaces are just under 11", without the pommel.

My non-Emerald, non-recharge port Dark Menaces are just over 10", no pommel.

The Dark Apprentice V4s, that I have in staff configuration, are just under 9.5", no pommel.

Havoc's individual halves are 11.75", without pommel or coupler (all of the above have couplers, but since those are all the same size, I thought it would be best to go only with hilt measurments without any MHS stuff screwed in)

So, Lost Gray is midway between the two types of Menace hilts, a bit over an inch longer than my Dark Apprentice staff hilts, and considerably shorter than Havoc (but Havoc is a beast, so...), and the really crucial thing to remember is that the Menace emitter is quite long, as well as not a great place to grip the saber.  So, given that all of the sabers I measured work well as staves (your individual body's dimensions may vary, of course), and a Lost Gray is "grippable" for pretty much all of its length, I'd say it's very well suited to pairing up as a staff.  Which is an idea that's already long since come to me, and I'm mulling over, for later.  Maybe as a DiY.

That was incredibly helpful to talk it through like that.  Thank you, bud!  I'm liking that idea except my Lost Gray doesn't have Emerald, only TRI GB, so maybe down the road after all, like you.  In fact, I'm thinking any two sabers that are connected as a staff should either have Emerald or Quick Disconnects to at allow each saber's LED colors to be unique when apart and the same when together as a staff.  With the extraordinary design of the Lost Gray, I'd need both Lost Grays to be upgraded to Emerald unless I was to just order the same config that I have now with a TRI GB.  Yeah, definitely an upgrade is definitely doable, but I think I'll put that idea on the back burner.

The Scorpion was a no-brainer; I couldn't think of what to get for Saber #2. My only concern is them being out of Fulcrums since they're selling like hotcakes (it seems indulgent for me to hog two and deprive someone else of one, so I have a couple of other models specced out as Plan B sabers)

Out of curiosity, for any of the folks who won, did WHAT saber you won affect what you selected as your prize (if you won at a tier you had a choice about)?

The fact that I was lucky enough to win Emerald sabers actually knocked out a bunch of choices for me, as I couldn't bring myself to pick canonical sabers in non-canonical colors. While the Fulcrums by default are intended to be canonical, I will be modding mine extensively.

I think anyone who would pick a cannon saber would lean towards the proper color. ROTJ Luke's was green..I  would do it. Windu's in purple...yep, and so on.
me personally, if my prize is a cannon saber and not in cannon color...I could see me buying a new l.e.d. to fix that.

I won a second prize and it came today! It's a Dominix with Obsidian Lite. It's really sharp. I've never had one with sound that was not inspired by the canon sabers from the movies. This one is really nice. Thanks Emory and US!

The biggest reason why I've decided that, if I ever win the Emrald prize, I would choose the CE Graflex and Chosen One isn't so much that I could give them non-canon colors, but that I COULD give them a nice blade flicker with the Emerald.

But, yeah, I'd occasionally put them into non canon colors, for the fun of it.

You could do that with a 2-channel Emerald I would think. At least you'd save money there.

2-channel isn't a thing anymore.  Pity, I had ideas about wheedling Emory into a custom Flamberge idea, with channel 1 running to a BR main blade and channel 2 to BR side blades, just for flicker on a dedicated red crossguard saber.

Oh yeah, that's exactly how it went for me. I was very particular about which sabers I picked, because since the Grand Prize was non-Emerald I looked for sabers that were either canonical or that had the Quick Disconnects option to have some options to change blade colors later.  While some sabers were a top choice for my grand prize, such as the Scorpion, I didn't go with them, because no disconnect and no funds to upgrade to Emerald now, so I decided to go with sabers that I wouldn't have likely purchased with Emerald anyway. The Guardian is one of those.

Banes Heart and FVA are both awesome colors.  My Phantasm is in BH and when I got my Guardian, the initial setting on the Emerald board was DVA, you are really going to love both of those colors.

To answer your question, the raffle prize will include the features described in the forum post for the xxxx Prize, for example, and the default options for the saber model you choose.  Any additional upgrade options you select or accessories (the options in the product listing that show an additional cost next to them) you would have to pay for.

No biggie, just pared off the recharge ports and a few other goodies.

Nope totally normal OBK lol ... I totally did the same thing and just went to town on features not realizing anything above STOCK configuration was an up charge. I got the 4-11 from Emory and had to set up requisition charges for my upgrades hehe ... Oh well live and learn  :)

Yeah, the Dominix V3 is really nice, probably something I wouldn't normally get, but it feels really nice in the hands and very well balanced. I definitely recommend it since you've been eyeing it for a bit.

I've been taking all my pictures on my cutting mat with other stuff just for that reason, thanks for noticing! Sometimes I can't really tell sizes from some pictures and I wished there was some kind of scale, haha. BTW, I'm an engineer, we like to draw everything to scale.   ;D

Very nice haul.  The Guardian is beast of a saber and I love mine.  You made a great choice with that saber.

I ordered a Scorpion in TRI Green for myself and an Initiate LE v4 in Violet Amethyst for my girlfriend (originally for her birthday but re-purposed for Christmas). My raffle prize was a Dark Liberator v3 in Guardian Blue. All sabers are Obsidian. Can't wait to see her face when she unwraps it :D Thanks again to Emory and Ultrasabers!

Here is the Apprentice V4. I got Obsidian V4 sound, a recharge port, and a green illuminated AV switch. I was going to get it in green, but I've been eyeing photon blades, so I ended up getting tri-guardian blue. Normally, I'd get a covertec wheel too, but I want to put o-rings in the grooves on this one, so I left it off. I'll have to figure out some d-ring solution.

Here is the Crimson Scorpion I received as second prize. It came in blazing red with silver flash-on-clash, full V4 sound, and a red illuminated AV switch. The red anodizing looks very light, it actually appears as more of a pinkish salmon color. I was very fortunate to get such an exquisite hilt so packed with features!

Just wondering what's that saber on the bottom of your saber collection? I am a bit of a noob and don't recognise it... Is it a Yari Pike with both male and female ends maf the quick release coupler?

Ordered a Dark Catalyst Emerald and got a grabbag saber for myself with color disks since i liked the color silver blank as it is + i wanted to check out how the disks look
Won a grabbag saber in the raffle (4th place) and now just opened my package and I am very pleased.

The grabbag saber with disks that I ordered is an Apprentice v4, and the raffle price is a Dominix v4 with a red av button and red color :D Such a nice combination I couldn't be any happier right now.

You are correct! I put pommels on for the pics, but I have a second QR coupler to split between the Dark Initiate and Bellicose, so I can put them together or attach the Yari to either one.

I really like those. I always thought it would be cool to have a Dominix with a 24" blade and a Dark Initiate with a 16" blade, so it could be like a samurai's katana and tanto or something.

So the entire morning i have been toying with my emerald dark catalyst, different colors and sound fonts. Currently trying the Kit Fisto soundfont from eerockk :D Still undecided on what color to pick as well. Currently hovering between yellow, green and a classic blue (no red currently since i have that on the beautiful Dominix v3 grabbag :D )
Any suggestions for soundfonts/colors that you guys like in particular?

Green has always been my favorite saber color since I was a kid. For emerald, I like to do 100% green for color one, and 100% green with around 10% white for color two, with a total time of .04; .02 for each color, and 0 for each transition.

Yes, you really get a sense of the dimensions (14" long, 1.6" wide) when handling it more than seeing it. This is easily the girthiest (is that a word?) lightsaber in my collection even taking the activation box out of the equation.

Really liking the Dark Catalyst there boXseb. A good range of sabers all round.

What a superb range of sabers you have there Akacen. I am not sure which I like the most. I have been strongly leaning towards getting a Catalyst saber. Unfortunately it would have to come after the Lost Grey since it is the next in line. Very impressive.

Received my order and prize sabers last Friday! Finally had time to open them yesterday.

I have an Apprentice LE V4 and really love the gold inlays in the hilt grooves like yours. I really like the guarded AV switch with the blue button matching the blue blade. It flows with the silver hilt/gold accent so well.
