That'll be next on the list of high end sabers I plan to finally get.

Me, too. I just ordered an Arbiter so I might be able to swing another order before Jan. 16th, but it's gonna have to be for a saber that I hadn't planned on getting with the Emerald driver, like the Scorpion, and probably not one of the higher end sabers like the Chosen One, so possibly an Aeon, Sentinel or Prophecy. Have any particular saber in mind yourself?

Been looking at the Dark Arbiter myself, and having crazy thoughts... (Run Rev, Run!)

considering a couple different approaches.
1. 2 empty hilts for a future project.
2. A Dark Prophecy with V4 & Tri-Cree Red.

They come out to within $5 of each other, so I guess the main question would be if I want a full working saber, or another project. Both have their attractions...

I highly recommend #2 except with TRI Arctic Blue. I love mine. The black and TRI AB go so well together.

I had wondered about a blue, but my Aeon V2 is a GB, so was wondering about green & red... If I get the Dark Prophecy I will be making it my own special LE version out of it, and color probably wont be decided until I actually pull the trigger... I have seen some very good looking Arctic blues.... gah! lol

Does the $250 purchase include the cost of postage?  Or does the $250 have to be before postage is added?

That's going to be the cost of the saber. At least that's usually how it works. Shipping does not pay US anything and it can also change depending on location. I would say no.

Wasn't anticipating a raffle until Feb or later, will have to look at the funds situation and I'll know in the new year if I can participate.

The problem is that US is constantly holding that carrot in front of us and leading us to the purchase screen.  We all want more sabers and really don't need them...Seriously I have 16 sabers and only have two hands.  Even with 5 people in the family that really only means we "need" to have a max of 10.....PPPPBBBBBTTTTTT!!!! Yeah Right! 

If I wasn't scared of what my wife would do to me if I purchased another one, id be buying another one right now.  I think I'm going to have to sell off some of my other sabers before I can get anything else.   :'(

This is truly exciting and very fortuitous for me. My girlfriend and my parents had talked about gift ideas for me and, being the wonderful girlfriend who ordered me my first obsidian saber (Raven with Orange blade), she told my family I had been struggling to save money for a new and possibly final saber (consular with emerald). As they were unsure of the exact things I truly wanted in my saber, they instead got me enough money to place the order myself. I went to place the order and immediately noticed two things: the raffle and the Consular hilt sitting at a daily deal price.

I love my sabers I already posess and the new one will be a welcome addition, and the chance to win more sabers is an amazing opportunity, especially given how happy I see people are with their previous winnings here on the forums and YouTube.

Silly question but do the incentives stack. For instance I am looking at ordering an emerald sound Aeon V4 and a stunt Aeon V4 and a coupler to staff it up. I wish I could afford both with sound but oh well. That comes to greater than 600 can get the plug, shirt, stand, and initiate? Or just the initiate?

Yes all of them are combinable. Just add each of the coupon codes at checkout.

Damn, wish I'd read through this forum earlier.  I thought only one coupon code was redeemable per order.  I used a code I had been issued and didn't know I could enter the code for the drawing as well.  Looks like I need to read things more thoroughly.

It depends on the coupon code. The coupon codes for the raffle are combinable and so are usually the codes used when other promotions are run when it's "spend $300 get...", "spend $450 get...", where you can add all the coupon codes starting with the highest you qualify for and including all the others below it, but not usually the coupon codes that are issued to you directly by Ultra Sabers. I have one of those myself, and it was spelled out when I received it that it wouldn't be combinable with any other codes. If you still have the email you received from Ultra Sabers with that code, check out the terms on it, or you can just test it out by adding it to your order and then trying to add another code. If it's not allowed, the page will reload with a message telling you and the code you just added replace rather than gets added to your shopping cart.

I already sent an e-mail asking about it.  The coupon I used was issued by them, and said it wasn't combinable with other offers, which was why I didn't even think to try to enter the raffle at the same time when I put the order in.  We'll see what they say on it.  US has been great with their customer service, so either way it goes, I'm still getting a nice new saber :)

Also, I've got to start accumulating the parts for summer projects soon, so I might be able to also swing a last minute order, as well.  Interesting bit about that is that if I order the empty Flamberge SE hilt I need the crossguard from, I'll be building up the main hilt later into a saber to donate to the school saber choreography group.

I hope to have a more "optimistic appraisal" of the situation next week and be able to decide then whether I can enter. Once you've entered one raffle, it's hard to pass one by, because the cool thing is that everyone gets a saber, even if you don't win, unless you buy a huge load of accessories instead to make your entry, and I know of no one who's done that yet.  Lookin' forward to how the next couple of weeks develop. I've done that.  Not sure which raffle, but I ended up with three entries, one of which was bits and pieces (IIRC, that may have been when I ordered 3 Obsidian V4 boards).  That did not, however, end up being my winning entry, but did contribute to some awesome DiY saber projects.

In fact, if I manage a second entry for this raffle, it'll be parts (although it'll have an empty hilt or two as the biggest parts of such an order, I have more projects in mind for the coming summer).

It does suck, I've had to sit out a raffle earlier in the year.

I think I'll just go ahead and put away the money for my Emerald Graflex ahead of time, so that when the next raffle after this hits, I won't have to figure out if I can enter or not, AND finally get the other of that iconic duo.

I entered as well.  I picked up a flash sale saber and a saber for my grandson. It did not let me enter the raffle code and the flash sale cone together but the email for the flash sale Sade if you put your forum name in the comments section it would still enter you in the raffle.

Also just wanted to point out that FoC isn't compatible with Tri-Cree so you don't get disappointed when turning on your lightsaber for the first time.  

Or you might want to email US and make adjustments to your order if you had wanted FoC.

Well looks like it's finally time for me to order something. Been teasing myself on here for about a year now. Gotta wait until i get paid next week though. Hmmmm spent so much time on this site and I still can't  decide what my first will be....Electrum Wind, Lost Gray, Mantis, Catalyst...man so many options!

EW is great, but I'd go with the Lost Gray or the Mantis. You'll like whatever you end up getting.

The Lost Gray is separating itself from the pack more and more right now. I just love how sleek it looks. Mantis has always been one of my favorites, love me some curved hilt. Also really contemplating a Standard Issue, love the diagonal emitter and after seeing how people like Drahcir have customized them, I really like it. All I know is I want VA or DVA for the blade, so just figuring out which one that looks best on will make my decision a lot easier

I think the gold/silver black combination of the Electrum Wind looks best with shades of Amethyst.

Yeah I do love the way the EW looks with VA, I mean how could it not look amazing? And with it being pretty canon, it's a saber I'd love to build. I thought once US came out with one of this style, my decision would be so easy, but they had to go and make the Tano ones freakin' amazing too!

Seems like the Flamberge is the only thing listed as Backordered in the catalogue.  The other two just have standard 5-working-days leadtime disclaimers.

Yeah, I really want a DSI, but that'll be later. Same with the Fulcrum and Lost Gray. My friend has an EW, and I've used it some. I like the looks, but it just isn't speaking to me much right now. The Dark Mantis is very high on my wishlist right now as well, but it is just really big. Personally I'd go with DVA, just because to me it seems like a more "full" color than regular VA, and I like the darker color as well.

Yeah I agree with it being fuller ... might sacrifice a wee bit of brightness but it's no deterrent when considering DVA.

Thanks for the heads-up!  Yeah I didn't know it wasn't actually available - I see now the disclaimer they have when choosing FoC about the Tri-Cree - I guess by default they go ahead and install FoC and refund the Tri-Cree for a regular LED.  That works for me, but I already emailed the folks at US about it, so oops lol 

Someone said in an earlier post that they where not shipping raffle entry orders until after the raffle.  I jus got shipping notification on my raffle entry order. Should I be concerned?

No reason to be concerned at all Duelist7.  They ship out order entries early now and then, possibly depending on their work load.  It doesn't disqualify you - you are still in the raffles and could win the big prize!  :)

After about 5 years of stalking this site I FINALLY ordered my first saber!  

Thank you!  I got confirmation on my entry today as well - will arrive in a couple days, AND while they did remove the Tri-Cree LED's in order to keep the FoC, I WAS also charged for it.  But they emailed me before it shipped, explaining that they'd credited me the difference.

US might have the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with.

I have a question I'm hoping someone can help me with.

I finally pulled the trigger on the Archon v2.1 that I've been lusting over for a year on December 29th, after waking up that morning to the one-day 20% off special on that particular lightsaber. However, when I ordered, I had to put in the 20% off code, so I couldn't enter the "WinterRaffle" code. I did put my forum name in the comments section, as the email instructed.

Should I be worried that I wasn't entered in the raffle since I didn't enter that code or is my username in the comments section enough? Should I give US a call to make sure everything's in order?

If you followed what the email that was sent to you said, there should be no concern as long as you still (after the discount) met the $250 or more for the order to be entered into the raffle.

I just wanted to say that I won during the Summer Raffle and I was very impressed. I got the Sentinel LE V4 with sound and absolutely love it. It is my third lightsaber, and could not be more happy with them. Anyone that is on the fence about entering the raffle, I would highly recommend it. It may be a high entering cost but it is all worth it in the end; you get a high quality Saber, great customer service, and a good shipping time.

Thanks Benji. I did follow the email to the letter and I was well above the $250 threshold, so I should be good. I may shoot them an email just to confirm and ease my mind, but seeing as how this is the first raffle I've gotten in on, I want to make sure I did everything right.

Great choice on the Archon.  It was one of my first and still one of my favorites.  You might try e-mailing.  I forgot to include my forum username in my order notes, e-mailed them about it, and had a response less than an hour later.

OK, so I just called US (awesome customer service, by the way), and I am in fact entered into the raffle just by entering my forum username in the comments section of my order. So even if you use a promotional code (in my case, the 20% off the Archon V2.1), as long as your order is over $250 and you enter your username in the comments section of the order, you're entered.

Did your letter have a delivery date on it?  Mine didn't.

open up the mail and there should be a tracking number. You can then simply just paste that in a search bar if you want as a shortcut. Or just go on that carriers site.

It's a pretty amazing thing to score a win in one of these, and get that mystery saber in the mail :).  I can't even describe how awesome it is, like being a kid on Christmas morning again haha.  It really is unbelievable just how many of these raffles US has done for us recently, beyond cool.  Thanks US!!

Ughhh I can't read the word "Graflex" without my mind starting to melt slowly. Mine is still processing and still waiting on it to ship.Bad part is.... I leave for a business trip on the 20th... AND THAT TRIP IS 3WEEKS. So it's either, the raffle ends, and my two day shipping works and I get to play with it for a day or two before leaving, or else the wait time is extended another 3 weeks. I wake up sweating every day man, lol

I learned this the hard way. As long as they haven't shipped it yet, they can open back up and make changes (obviously)
However.... two things to consider.
1) You'll have to pay 25 bucks for them to open your hilt back up (disassembly fee they call it)
2) If it was close to the day they were planning on shipping but now have to open back up, may take you extra time to receive it

howdy newbie here! So I was wondering regarding the raffle, if the order ships does it mean the raffle prizes maybe included with the shipped items? or will they contact afterwards, i was told via customer support that the order placed will ship after the raffle ends. Either way im excited my first saber Arbiter will be comin soon! and in Sentinel Yellow haha.

My saber that I won came in the same box as my saber entry. They held the saber until all the winners were announced. Then they are shipped together.   I think this is the norm.

I have had orders held until the end, and had a prize I won shipped with my entry, I have also received my entry well before the raffle was over, won a prize with it, and had the prize ship to me separately.  The one thing that seems to be most consistent is that if your entry is a backorder, your prize will wait on the backordered saber before it ships out.

A bunch of folks have gotten shipment notices on their entries for this raffle, but they're not out of it, while I have not had mine ship yet, but I read nothing into that, either.

If I had to guess, I'd say that I suspect they're trying to ship all of the easier/simpler sabers first (easier electronics, I mean) and/or that notable scene from Rogue One has increased demand on a certain saber, so I may wait a little extra time for my Chosen One CE with V4 sound and Emerald.

It doesn't seem to be the case this time around. Lots of sabers are going out before the winners are announced.  I have never had my sabers sent out before the raffle ends, but hey that doesn't mean anything I guess.

I hope it's not the case this time around - US has me utterly checkmated because I don't know that I'll ever be able to stop ordering more sabers until I finally win one in a raffle.  I just got into all this last summer, just in time for the Summer Raffle, and I've been in every one since.  It's already a vendetta to win in a Raffle lol

For those worrying, it really is nothing to be concerned about.  As I have said, I have had raffle entries go both ways, where my entry shipped first and I still won, and where I had to wait for both.

It makes it sound like it can still count as a raffle entry (just type your name into the comments field), but can't at the same time: i.e. being combined with another offer. When I try to put the Winter Raffle code in, it takes the flash20 off.

You still can enter the raffle even if you use the "Flash20" for the 20% off the Consular. Simply like it says just enter your SaberForum name in the comments field below when making your purchase order and you're still in the winterraffle. It is the alternative of still entering the winterraffle since you can't combine the winterraffle code itself with the Flash20 since Flash20 says it can't be combined with "ANY" other coupons. I hope that makes sense.

So if I were to order a $252 saber, and use my bonus points to take money off it to cut down on the intl. postage, would it still count as being an order over $250? Or will it not let me enter if it drops down to $238?

I double checked with customer service and they clarified that I am entered with the Flash20 code by putting the forum name in the comment box. US customer service has been great at answering all of my questions during the order process. I went with the Emerald Consular with v4 sound. I love that the emitter and pommel can both be swapped out, which I think will keep me entertained for a while, and that the shroud can come off to give it another look.

The first saber I got was a black Emerald Sciepion and a pike extension - it's pretty cool.  The only complaint I would have in it at all is that the pike doesn't fit 100% flush with the scorpion, and because of that the outside skirting on the scorpion is a little loose.  Otherwise it's awesome.

I hate the fact I HAD a paid off credit card.  This giveaway along with the free random saber was just too tempting.  Got my wife and I a new saber with sound this time since first round we went just basic combat mode.  Hopefully I can add sound to those later.    Since I do a bit of charity visits and finishing up a grey wookiee, I ordered a Fulcrum with silver blade for my wookiee to carry when I feel like it.  Best part of being a generic wookiee, nobody can say it's wrong as long as I am just doing a non- rebel legion sponsored visit.   Fulcrum looks very plain, yet awesome, so fit the elder wookiee look in my opinion.    Would love to win the the off-hand Lost Gray...but if not, will pick it up in the future most likely.

Bought a fancy double edge saber along with a pike extender and somehow the thing I'm most excited for is the quick detach coupler. Question about the crossguard sabers, how do they work with emerald? Will all the leds be changeable?

Nice! That's quite a formidable weapon. Yes, you can configure the main blade led, the left blade led and the right blade led all individually. You can also not have the left and/or right blade illuminate, remove one or both of the side blades and turn your saber into a regular saber with a kickin' emitter.

Just a few more hours to go. Who else is sitting on pens and needles in anticipation?

Wait, wait, wait.

Some clarification is really, really needed to avoid a potentially expensive mistake.

The side blades on an Emerald crossguard saber are controlled by one of the 4 Emerald channels, and they do NOT have full color changing function.  They also are wired together, so you can not simply turn one side off via the Emerald driver, they are not controllable individually.

If you want to have a variety of color choices for all three blades, the method that works is to get the Emerald driver and white (Adegan Silver) side blade LEDs, plus color discs or photographic lighting filters, such as the LEE filter swatch book http://shop.leefiltersusa.com/Swatch-Book-Designers-Edition-SWB.htm (http://shop.leefiltersusa.com/Swatch-Book-Designers-Edition-SWB.htm)

The best method is to find a filter that you like in the side blades, and then try to match the main blade to the filtered sides via the Emerald settings.  Caveat to that is that some filtered colors simply cannot be matched to a satisfactory degree with RGB, but you can get a very wide variety of excellent matched colors.

Again, and this is very important, you cannot change the colors of the side blades in an Emerald crossguard saber via the Emerald settings in the launcher program, if you want to have the ability for matched blade colors in a variety of colors, AS side blades and Emerald driver, plus filters or color discs is the ONLY satisfactory method for a stock saber.

I hope that Gravediggervincent sees this before he makes a very expensive mistake.

Sorry I misread that. I was referring to the ability to choose LED colors for each of the blades when configuring the saber during purchase, because you can choose the blade colors there, but shade is right, once they're configured in the purchase, the left/right blade LEDs cannot be changed through the Obsidian Launcher software for Emerald. They're fixed similar to the illuminated AV switch, so the only way besides using filters as shade described is to send it back to have the leds swapped out for different colors. Only the main blade's LED can be changed through the Emerald driver.

The quickest way to figure out if the raffle period is over is to look at the US front page.  If the raffle banner ad is gone, then the raffle is over.

BUT...posting of the winners list might take some time after that.  Longest I've seen is a day or two, IIRC.

I should add that the only time I've seen a delay longer than posting the winners the morning after was when US were still on the road for cons.

Well make sure you keep it down over there cause I'll be sleeping  :P

Thanks for that, although it'll be a while before I decide to get a crossguard saber. Still, that's kinda lame, kinda defeats the purpose of an emerald saber.

I'd get emerald to have the pulse option, not just to change the colors, so for me it does kind of defeat the purpose.

If you're talking about using pulse to have blade flicker, that's absolutely doable with the crossguard sabers set up just like I use mine.  Flicker is a function of brightness, and so the side blades can flicker along with the main blade by setting the pulse rate to a pretty fast rate and different brightness levels for the different channels in use.  I find that for colors at the longer wavelength end, about a 100% - 80% brightness flicker works well, while colors further toward the other end of the spectrum look best (IMHO) at more of a 100% - 90% setting.  For mixed colors, just work out the proportional values.

Presto, blade flicker for all three blades.



On the other hand, if you want all the blades to pulse to different actual colors, then, yeah, you can't do that.
