The new Emperor's Hand brings another iconic and loved saber designs to the Ultrasabers lineup. The Emperor's Hand is of course fully made of T6 Aircraft Aluminum and combat ready. This hilt design is everything you would expect from an Emperor's Hand: beautiful, sleek, nimble, elegant, and of course deadly. The emitter is removable & MHS compatible. The screws all around the grip come in two different finishes: Silver & Black. The pommel is removable & MHS compatible and comes in two different versions as well: Silver & Black. And lastly the activation box is also available in two different versions as well: Angled & Squared. The Emperor's Hand is able to accommodate sound installs, Emerald LED driver installs, and again has an MHS compatible emitter & pommel as well.

The Emperor's Hand comes standard with a non-illuminated AV switch, is 1.5" wide, and 11.5" long from the top of the emitter to the bottom of the pommel. The saber comes completely assembled and ready to go. The pommel and emitter are removable and compatible with TCSS MHS (Modular Hilt System) parts. Sound and the Emerald LED driver are also available options. Both Standard Setup and Li-Ion Setup work perfectly for an Emperor's Hand with No Sound. However, Li-Ion Setup is mandatory in order to add sound or the Emerald driver to the Emperor's Hand.

Yes, this is the Mara jade I'm gonna do. Except I wanna do it to Rebel Legion and 501st approval standards- which are very specific, down to the type of material, the number of ribs in the ribbed sections, piping etc. And I want to make it myself. I know I could buy it/ commission it but for me that's not the point- I enjoy the challenge in making it myself. And this will be my toughest build yet. If I can make this, I can make anything! :D


All the leather work and shin armour I will be getting commissioned however. For approval standards that's beyond my ability.

Shame that he makes a big hooray about it being MHS compatible but they don't sell a large chunk of the pieces they use individually.

I wanna buy the Reaper Shroud and body pieces individually (as well as the Mantis curved piece and Consular Shroud) without buying the blank hilt (and if I do I have these spare parts I won't use).

Very cool hilt. I bought a static one years back, but very tempted by this - it looks really slender, like a Sentinel.

DVA, angled, black av switch, black screws, no Foc, V4, 36" UE, black pommel, li-ion/buckpuck batteries only, circle blade plug. I want to change out the gold c/t wheel and add QDs so I'll e-mail and hook that up when I'm ready to order it. Daresay it will be end of March. So now I have to watch other people get theirs and drool over pics and videos until I can pull the trigger  :o

Well, I can't wait to see the pics. I haven't seen FoC IRL, so I don't know wether I like it or not, but I don't feel like spending the extra money on it until I know that I do. And since my next saber will be an Emerald saber, I will be able to play with FoC and Pulse mode.

That's exactly why you SHOULD get it while it's only $10 man! Especially if you are going to get standard VA. That BH Foc with VA still blows me away and I will be making sure to get it on one of my own sabers down the track! At first I was hesitant too, and only got it on mine because I was dumping so much money on Tegan's Mantis (I felt left out for my Monarch hahaha) but it was worth it at $35, so I know it's definitely worth it at $10. The only reason I wasn't going to get it for this one was just because it wasn't going to be a heavy use saber, but for $10, YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU US! I can't get the free shipping, so I may as well load up on the other extras while I have the chance :)

Very nice looking saber, but I've got a few quibbles keeping this away from my credit card.

*The 1.5" measurement for diameter--which part of the hilt is that measured at? The ribbed wasp waist in the middle, or the riveted-on grips? If the wasp waist, does that measurement include the activation box?

*There doesn't appear to be an option to omit the activator box in favor of a standard switch like you'd see on the Archon/Guardian/Consular sabers. There are probably reasons why (some legal, some technical) this model has the box.

Given that this is going to be looked at by MJ cosplayers who have a higher probability of being female, who are likely to have smaller hands, that activation box might introduce an ergonomics issue for some who might want to duel with this saber.

Overall though,  I'm thrilled that new models are popping up.

I had one configured last night at a little over $300 with V4 sound.  That's a steal for a hilt this detailed.  :o

Seriously though, TJ, I think all they are saying is that the hilt is based on the saber by a well-known female character (which it is). They're not calling it a female hilt, because I don't think any hilts are actually gender based.

Personally, I appreciate the aesthetics of this saber, however it doesn't jump out at me as a saber I would want to get. This is just my opinion though and in no way meant to disparage anyone who is thinking of getting it

I'm with TJ on this.  I bought a Lost Gray, and I certainly don't consider it a "female" hilt, even though it's designed after a hilt that was carried by a female character.  It's just an awesome hilt.  Lightsabers shouldn't be gender specific.  If you like a hilt, you like it, period.  The fact that the Emperor's Hand was designed after a hilt carried by Mara Jade certainly won't stop me from wearing it in a cosplay as a male Jedi or Sith.  It's just a sweet hilt that I'd be proud to carry.  8)

*The "coffin" activation box appears more low-profile and may address my concerns with ergonomics. More detailed measurements would be appreciated though.
*The MHS emitter is tempting to add to some of my other sabers :)

To me, the MHS emitter is most tempting because I can put an emitter I like better on this.  To each their own.

I do have some ideas for modding the emitter, but would have to have one in hand to see what I could actually do.

Guess I'll have to order one, right?

Edit to add:  Just watched the video, and I am thrilled that they're going to have the EH's super low profile pommel for sale separately.  Bravo, US, bravo.

Also, interesting that there's no QD option.  I was eyeballing a regular V4 sound saber EH, but may hold off for the cash for Emerald.

I've got some ideas too and in particular for the Graflex strips.  But on the whole I like the design and detail, you don't especially see those kind of greeblies on your typical emitter.

Full MHS is a major fun bonus.

The Malice is very high on my list too. But this one jumped everything and went straight to the top.

For my current cart, the shipping is $71. This morning, it was only $54. I'm not sure why it is so much more expensive, but I feel like it might have something to do with the sale. I don't know if they still offer it, but they used to have a 2 week shipping (or something like that), but I don't have that as an option anymore. I only have the 2 day, and overnight. Shipping is a big part of why I haven't gotten another saber yet.

This is fantastic!  Thank you, Deep!  I love having the option to switch out colors when Emerald may not be a good fit for me on some sabers like this one where I'm only interested in a few colors. So thankful you're still offering quick disconnects on some of your sabers. It really adds to an already awesome product.

Where are you located and what the hell did you order? It's $46.54 for me to get it shipped to this backwater cattle station some people call a country. Or does yours include import duties or something?

Bane's Heart, if you want the closest to Mara Jade's Magenta blade color, or as Taegin Roan suggested, Violet Amethyst, would be a close match, too, depending on what kind of hue you prefer.  I think her blade is somewhere in the middle of those two, so with the Emerald Driver you could really fine tune it, or without the Emerald Driver, you could use Lee Filters to alter the hue a bit, too.

Typically FedEx increases shipping rates over the weekend, that's not on US.

If you configure your EH on a weekday you'll likely see rates go back down.

Right now, my cart has my Dark Initiate LE v4 Emerald, a coupler, and batteries in it. I don't know why I can't get the ground shipping option anymore. I got it or my first saber. I haven't ordered anything yet, and I will make sure I have a 10% off coupon at least before I order. I will also be waiting for the shipping price to go down again if it really is just because of the weekend.

Oh yeah I've noticed when I add a couple to my cart the shipping goes up like crazy. I'm just going to buy one with a staff instead as the shipping works out cheaper that way.

I thought you meant for your specs on this saber and was wondering how it could possibly be so much more than mine. If you remember to check the shipping again on a weekday please let me know if it does change. I've never noticed any difference with mine, but if yours changes I'll double check mine too and compare it to what I posted before.

I asked Customer Service but they said they didn't know. They said the prices are set by FedEX and that's an end of it. I just play around a lot now with what I'm buying to see what combination gives me the most reasonable shipping.

I am happy with $46 for this saber though as it gives me something else to play with when I get my other Mantis emitter shipped :)

Yep.  ;)  I knew that and was thinking that Bane's Heart maybe needed to be a little more purplely but not violet amethyst to be the hue of magenta that Mara Jade had. What do you think? Do you think BH is the right hue as is?

I think BH is perfect as is to recreate MJ's blade colour.

All black hilts look good with DVA. It's a nice contrast.

Get it with QDs then you can get DVA as a QD and have them both.

They are both definitely going to be QD equipped :) any QD option sabers that I purchase will definitely have that option selected!

Unless it's too expensive an option at this time. Could always go for adegan silver with the colour discs and create a more bespoke colour.

I would buy multiple colors of hilts that come in multiple colors for sure, like the Apprentice lines. But not sure how many variations I would need of the Malice or the Emperor's Hand tbh

My shipping is terrible too. But $15 for QDs isn't going to stop me from getting it. I will just wait till I have the money for it, and then buy it then. I'm good at waiting. I waited 3 years after I started looking for sabers to buy mine. I waited 3 months to send my saber in to fix it.

Edit: Shipping is a pain in the wallet when you are not "Contiguous United States". Its a pity some compromise of perhaps reduced shipping for overseas customers, isnt possible with some of the deals!

If you ive out side the United States you could use a skybox which will give you a US address and then they will ship it the rest of the way at a lower cost.

I live in the UK and it's not so much the shipping costs that are bad, it's the customs import tax. Fortunately, those costs are included with FedEx pricing on international shipments.

Thanks, Knox! Yeah, I really think you're right. I was looking at a whole bunch of pics about it comparing them to BH and pretty darn close.

One huge benefit of having QD's on multiple sabers is the more you have the more it works to your advantage because of the number of combinations you get by multiplying the number of QDs you have by the number of sabers you have. So 2 sabers with QD's become like 4 different sabers, 4 sabers with QD's become like 16 different sabers, etc. Pretty cool way to add more modularity to your sabers in addition to the MHS compatibility.

I understand the benefits of Qd, I just personally won't be getting it on my sabers. I only plan on getting maybe three sabers total and will have thought long and hard about blade colour before placing my order, so will have no need to change the colour. But like I said, that's just me. I'm perfectly happy being QD-less.

I do have a VA/purple grab bag saber & the colour is very nice.
 I also know enough to allow for the import tax now & fedex shipping has never been less than hyperspace quick & brilliant(I'm one who tracks it every step & it still suprises evey time).

I'm thinking of getting it in Emerald so I can steer the BH color a little more to the purple side.  Don't know if you feel this way, but on some sabers I just like to keep them in their canon color, like the Graflex in Tri Arctic Blue.  Still, this one seems like it would look good with any blade color.

Awh, sorry, buddies  ::)  To be honest I really expected to be way behind a lot of folks by now. I remember when the Electrum Wind, Fulcrum and Lost Gray came out, it was pretty immediate that many copied/pasted screenshots of their orders to share the orders they had just placed. I was expecting to see even more activity like that with the Emperor's Hand.   ;)  I could have missed it, but I just haven't noticed any of that - yet.

Nah, me either... just kidding around, although it is, like Jediseth hinted, quite a bit of fun. I'm not one to think about who's getting one ahead of me so much as I really do quite enjoy participating in all the excitement that spawns with new product announcements, raffles, sales, etc. from Ultra Sabers. Ultra Sabers always makes you feel like you've won. I feel like you do and appreciate the opportunity when it comes.

You betcha. With that discount on the recharge port, I couldn't pass that up, but I've been wondering what it'll look like, too. I'm sure Ultra Sabers will place it in the best possible spot, which will most likely be on the opposite side of the AV switch. I would've loved for this saber to be available with a nickel finish. Wow, that would be stunning.

That's why I'm on the fence too. But the one on that Prophecy made me doubt my choice so I need to see it to know for sure.

Pretty much what you got.  Black everything; angled box; no recharge port though, and in DVA.

I'm hoping for a recessed recharge port like on the Electrum Wind and Guardian, but with it being skinnier like the Prophecy, it is likely to sit on the surface more.

I'd still get the black screws and black pommel with the nickel. I think that'd look the best.


Niiiice! Excited for you, buddy. Didn't opt for the Emerald either, eh? I almost did, but kinda felt like on this saber it'd be a waste, as I'm only really thinking of VA or BH and with the added QD on it, there are options. I do like DVA, though, so I think that's an excellent choice.

I was so close to getting the squared box, but I realized how much I didn't want it to look like an Archon, Graflex or Chosen One activation box, and then it was an easy choice. I ended up switching my black AV switch to a silver one, but kept the black screws and black pommel, because I didn't like the way the blue illuminated AV switch looked on a black AV switch when I had it on my Consular and really dig the way it looks on my Arbiter. I threw in an extra silver pommel as well to try on another saber like maybe the Sentinel LE, and it seems like it'll be easy to swap out the black screws for silver ones on the EH later if I want to change up the look.

Question, though - were you thinking the same as me about the black button and how it'd be nice to be able to choose a red, silver or bronze button instead, similar to the options available on a Graflex, Chosen One, Fulcrum or Lost Gray?

The black button on the emitter almost looks new(?)- a flatter top with sides that are less rounded than the usual ones.

Looks a lot like the insert "button" that's on the Fulcrum, opposite side from the Covertec.

Ultrasabers have definitely raised the bar with the Emperor's Hand, along with Electrum Wind, Fulcrum and the Lost Gray.  :)

Went and had a look and yeah very similar . . . though on the Fulcrum it looks a bit bigger.

I personally wouldn't want to change the emitter button on this saber. The black works perfectly imo. I think anything else would look too busy against those strips.

No, I ordered a grab bag (first time I have done so) to push an order for two each of the EH pommels and two MLS units over the $250 mark, for the free shipping.  That grab bag is a Sentinel LE V4.

The empty Menace SE I'd ordered along with an empty Fulcrum, about a week before.  I pulled the knobs and covertec off of the Menace as soon as I got it (the emitter too), and that's the black covertec that'll get put on the EH when that gets here as well.

A United States Postal Worker just handed me the box with the Emperor's Hand inside (sounds kinda funny, huh).  My wife and I opened it together, and I gotta say, it surpasses all my expectations. The emitter is tre magnifique! The entire hilt is tre magnifique for Pete's sake! It's beautiful! Can't wait to post a full review here very soon, later today, hopefully.

Yeah, my empty EH shipped today, I'm pretty excited to get it and start figuring out what kind of custom uses I can put the parts to.

Just got my EH and its beautiful!  I think I understand why they offer the activation box as angled vs squared.  This squared version doesn't have rounded corners like the Graflex or the Malice.  It digs a bit into the palm of your hand to be candid.  Food for thought.

Hey, Kai-Yen, congrats on your new EH. Just got mine as well, and I completely agree, it's b-eau-ti-ful!  ;D  Great pictures, and thanks for sharing your insight on that. This is very useful info for anyone trying to make a decision with parts, especially with the activation box. I know I did, switching back and forth between pictures of both types, for hours, trying to decide. I didn't think too much about the comfort level as much as the look I wanted when I ordered mine, but I mention in my video review on it how the contour of the angled activation box definitely contributes to a comfortable grip. It's difficult to gauge the size of the activation box, sometimes, too. I hope the box isn't a huge negative for you, though, because it does look pretty nice, especially with the yellow illuminated silver AV switch on it. That's a really nice choice there.



Like Taegin this one is my favorite MHS mashup as well. The blades of the Malice emitter combined with the black screws on the handle, it all just works really well.  Don't have a Malice myself yet, but I keep taking 2nd, 3rd and 4th looks at it for a possible next purchase.

Thanks very much, Knox. All my pics are taken with my phone, an iPhone 6S Plus - soon to be replaced by the iPhone 7S this Fall (yippee, lookin' forward to it because it can handle darker lit environments so much better with the dual aperture), but that's off topic so I'll leave it at that.  ;)

DKnox - just my crappy iPhone camera but the lightening was decent in the room given I reside in the San Francisco Bay Area so it's only like 3:30pm PST out here when I took the pics!

There isn't a macro setting on the iPhone, but to get sharper closeups, I use the AE/AF lock, ample background light and I try to keep the background simple.

Those are really good shots for no macro setting.

Why thank you, sir.  :D  All the controls are retrieved by tapping on the screen, including the AE/AF lock, so I guess you could say the AE/AF lock IS the macro setting on the iPhone. It locks your focus on the item in the frame of the onscreen grid, which is nice, because otherwise it will occasionally try to snap its focus back from your macro image to whatever else is in frame.

I don't have an iphone. I have an HTC and will soon be getting a samsung. My HTC does have a macro setting though, and I've been experimenting recently with the settings and low light features, practising, for the time of the gathering, when those of us who are left will feel an irresistible pull towards a far away land, to fight for The Prize......sorry. Went off track there for a second.

Well, well, well..

The EH emitter is quite interesting under the greeblies.

The central construction is, as you can see, basically an octagonal shape, with one side rounded off and machined for the two button or knob greeblies.  The black t-track style bits are held on in a quite novel way, slotting into the keyhole shaped holes somewhat like industrial shelving you might see at a store or warehouse, or even in your own garage.  They are retained by the ring that goes around the top of the emitter, which in turn is held in by the retention screw and the shorter screw opposite it, as LBW showed in his video review.  The facets around the emitter body, with the t-tracks removed, is an interesting look all its own, and enterprising saber customizers could come up with different "inserts" that could be slotted into the keyhole type slots for a different look, although you'd want to make sure that they were of a shape to be "braced" at the top by the ring, so they didn't just slip out.  There is also potential there for glued or screwed replacement greeblies, if you so desired.

All in all, it's an interesting emitter.

Was there any adhesive used to help hold the t-tracks in place?

No, none.  They slot in, slide towards the base of the emitter to put "lug" of the t-track behind the walls of the narrow part of the "keyhole", then the outer ring of the emitter keeps them from sliding back up.  The holes in
that outer ring are made elongated, so there's enough movement possible with it that you can firmly press it against the upper edge of the T-track sections, minimizing any wiggling of them.

Huh pressure fit never would've guess but I guess it's a more dependable set up for being at the business end of the lightsaber.

For the last 6 months, I was convinced that someday, when I decide to spend the galactic credits, I would get an Emerald Guardian.  This saber has made me question that choice!!!  I am ambivalent regarding the character of Mara Jade, but this saber design has too much going for it to ignore.  For one thing, it is a full 2 inches shorter than a Guardian, and as a Jedi who stands closer to, say, Padme's height than Qui-Gon's, the Emperor's Hand would seem to fit my Light Sider Hands well.

Now that I've seen shade_1313 's pics of the emitter dismantled, I'm even thinking of a gold-paint dipped T-track mod... Oh that would be so cool... mod a $400+ saber?  What is meesa sayin'?   :P

{Or, maybe I can convince the US team to add gold tracks as an option!?!?!  They already have gold on the Electrum Wind and Sentinel LE, etc... }

I haven't personally tried any others, but if I were to pick one for mine, I would go for the Raven Plain Pommel or the Manticore High Pommel. If it were in stock, though, my first choice would really be the Bane Pommel. You could check with Ultra Sabers Customer Service about whether they think that one will return to stock anytime soon. I think the way it's ridged matches up/aligns with the grip strips on the EH.

Never thought of the Manticore high or Bane pommels :P

Why is the option for EH's angled activation box gone? I wanna order one but I'm stuck with a squared activation box.

I can only guess, but I suspect that they have square in stock, and are out of the angled coffin-shaped boxes. 

I own the angled box design, and can attest that it is comfortable to wield and aesthetically pleasing.  I cannot offer any valid opinion of the squared, other than it looks very 'canon' to Mara's, Luke's hilts.

I think the angled switch box wraps around a quarter of the hilt nicely. I'm looking at my EH with the angled switch box. It's a very fine saber by US.

Nice config! While I did get one myself back in March with the angled activation box, I like this hilt so much I've been thinking of getting a second with the opposite of what I have on my current one, silver screws and pommel instead of black and square activation box instead of angled. I like the choice of a sith color in BR. Mine has VA with QD's, too. You may end up liking the square activation box. I'm anxious to try it myself.

Couldn't decide between BR and VA, but given I don't have a true darkside saber yet, I opted for BR. Besides, with the QD, I can always get the VA module and switch it out when I want  ;D

What a coincidence-I was getting ready to order a custom saber but then the angled switch on the Emperor's Hand was not available so I decided to wait until it's back in stock

This is my dream saber. Almost perfect. Black screws,black pommel, black ANGLED AV switch. Unfortunately no angled switches available. I am a patient man Emory. This saber will be mine one day. (raffle, flash sale, super low deal of the month) 😉😉😉😉 just saying.

It still can be, you just have to wait for it. I believe you are still capable or ordering (get in line sort of thing), just don't expect it on your doorstep in a week.

All I see is the option for the squared. I know with the Prophecy and Dark Prophecy they have a back order notification right up front (Thankfully I got my Dark Prophecy just before Back Order).  If they did that for the Angled Activation Boxes I would order now. 

Crap, I forgot that they aren't allowing for back-orders to pile up by removing the option. :( However, it can just be a late B-day gift. All my saber plans got buried when I was told that I needed to replace my tires. :'(

Those are identical to the angled box. But because of the surface area of the square box, they are more apparent.

I feel your pain, that exact scenario happened to me also.

The squared box looks okay. It really does. But I have my heart set on that angled switch, and that's the only way the emperor's hand can be mine. In the meantime, I think I might get a scorpion, or try my hand at a couple of mystery boxes. Definitely the $200 ones so that I can get sound on them. And I'm also looking at getting the quick disconnect so that I can change the color on the Sabers that I'm going to own. But in the meantime, I'm just going to sit patiently and wait for my switch to come in.

Yes. Aesthetically, there is nothing wrong with the square box. However, the ergonomic of the angled box is...................sublime. It just feels really good in the hand.

Yeah...I tried a mystery box and got one without sound....all I can say is never again.  I sent it in to have a sound board added....It just isn't the same without...

I just got this one yesterday as my first sabr with an emerald driver and v4. Shes got good weight to her and shes beautiful. Feels good to hold her. Shes loud too. It was a great decision.

This saber is high on my list, I still have not decided if it is going to be a angled switch or square one.

Angled feels better in the hand, IMO.

What is the best way to find out when the angled switch is back in stock?   Is there a better option than obsessively checking the listing daily for the option to appear?

Can we place an order with a note that we'll wait for the angled to come in before it ships?

Go to the customization menus, click EDIT for the activation box, and see if the option is available.

You can email US and see if they can put together a custom order for you, that specifies that you are willing to wait. Never hurts to ask.

Looks like Angled is back on the menu, I was able to put in an order with it yesterday.

I was able to put in an order yesterday for the EH in Emerald Green with the smuggler's deal promotions, lite sound and flash on clash, and got the flash10 discount.

Tried to get Flash on Clash in Sunrider's Destiny, but they said I could only have it in Silver...

I got mine! Dark violet amethyst blade, diamond controller!!!

I finally got mine ordered too, with the angled activation box and the flash sale!

I gave in and went all out with the Diamond Controller due to the sale...can't wait!

Ok...got mine with the angled switch....all I can say is....

I was seriously planing on getting one for the summer raffle, then the Specter was reveled. I guess I will have to save up for the winter raffle. Nevertheless it will be mine...someday.

got mine today in Bane's Heart... its quite large, about as large as the mammoth guardian. It works out for me now I display it with the guardian and they look normal hehehe.

Now, what to order next?

I love the look of the EH.  It, and The Fallen are the two best looking in my humble, subjective opinion.

It would be awesome if the EH emitter was available for DIYers to purchase (hint, hint).

The EH emitter is a tank. You've been warned. However, as others will attest, I love the body section. It's incredibly versatile when frankensabering.

Waited FOREVER for my angled switch to come back into stock. (about 8 weeks), and then...got my Emperor's Hand with diamond controller! It's one of my absolute favorites!! Absolutely, love it. (Spectre, Grand Master and Monarch)...round out the favorites list.

Next to The Fallen's emitter, it's the most distinctive to me.

I could get behind a Fallen emitter on the EH body.
