I like the idea that a saber can be constructed from bits of junk that don't always go together. Imperfect aspects lend to the "personality" of the design. I always ascribed OWK's 2nd saber as field assembled in that he lost his Guardian during the some skirmish of the CW, and needed to use what was on hand to build another.
