Title: Greetings from WNYs American Force Academy!
Post by: Musashi Padawan on November 14, 2017, 04:44:50 PM
Hello everyone, my name is Eric and I am excited about joining this community! I have no idea why I haven’t found this sooner!?!?  I think I may have insight to add to the forums and I really look forward to learning from everyone here.
I have been training with the light saber for about a year and a half now at the American Force Academy in western New York (Buffalo area).  We have a built a vibrant Saber community at our school and are always looking to grow with new students and the energy and ideas new people bring. I am an assistant instructor at the school and am currently studying the Soresu form. I have passed trials for the Shii-Cho and Makashi forms. I previously studied Kendo and bring that background and a traditional Eastern flare into my sabering style.
I have just started to focus on putting out more content from the Academy on YouTube. Please check us out on the link below! I would love any ideas, feedback and/or criticism forum members may have on the channel. This winter we plan to release a lot of new footage. We also have a website and Facebook page to check out.
OF COURSE, we only use ultra sabers at the Academy. Here is my collection (all are stunt sabers as I most enjoy training and combat aspects of sabering):
Dark Sentinel LE V4 (with a few customizations): this is my primary two handed saber for most training/dueling. You get a peak of this saber when I cover gear in our lastest video.
Dominix V2: my go-to Makashi (one handed) saber and primary hand saber for Jar’Kai.
Dark Apprentice V4: with a short blade, I use as a shodo for Jar’Kai.
Azure Menance (with a few customizations): this is pretty much my “show” piece.
As I said, I look forward to your feedback and contributing whatever I can to this cool community.

Hello and welcome  :)

Interesting and impressive biography, Eric!  Excellent saber choices!  If I might suggest: peruse the other forum sections for some outstanding resources and entertainment  :)
