Title: O-rings
Post by: Blacktooth25 on January 12, 2018, 06:22:14 AM
Was wondering where you all get your O-rings from. Just weighing my options for my hilts. Any suggestions?

I got a bunch from Lowes.  I want to say they're the no. 7 faucet rings.

Here are a few that I have ordered off Amazon

I use the 1" for V2 sabers and painting grooved V3/V4 hilts due to how tight they fit in the groves, The red one is a little less meaty than the black ones and makes for a great grip (comes in black as well).

Here are a couple more, they all work well. Just depends on how tight you like them.

If you would like, PM me and I would happily send you some, NO CHARGE if you live in the Continental US. I obviously have plenty to spare.

That's awesome! Thanks for the info. I'll definitely hit you up! I see you have the Monarch. At first I thought that would be the last hilt I would ever buy and now I think it's the most intriguing! What are your thoughts on it?

You may try FelPro. They manufacture seals for all types of everything, and I have seen a cool blue shade on a valve cover gasket (rubber) for a PT Cruiser, so they may have made O-rings in blue.

I may be completely off base, but I would try and see what you may find.

I just ordered new ones from www.theoringstore.com, (make sure to get the ones with minimum order of 5, some you have to order over 1000 due to the special sizing in color) got 50 blue and 50 light gray for $11 plus shipping. I'll let you know how they look and feel. Once again if anyone in the continental U.S. wants some for free or to see what they look/feel like, just PM me and I'll get them in the mail to you. I've got enough to help few brothers/sisters out and I don't charge for postage. I can send around 20.

This is a very generous offer... however you may end up using more than you think on various saber projects.  And they will dry, crack and stretch out over time, saber use and hand natural oil, sweat, etc.  :)

Then I guess I'll just reup the supply. They are super cheap when bought in quantity. I just want to share in the hobby and help out anyone whose not sure if that's what they want. And there is nothing better than free.
