I'm wondering what the general opinion is on choosing a Tri-Cree set up vs. being able to have flash on clash.  I've only owned the standard LED setup and one with flash on clash, so I'm wondering if the trade off is worth it.

I'm coming from a choreography and display perspective, if that helps any.

Was wondering about thr Tri-Cree myself but I'm very partial to FOC and only have sabers with it!

I prefer tri cree. The FoC is nice, but it's unreliable, and I like really bright blades.

Is the difference in brightness really that much?

It's noticeable, but it's not ridiculously different. My issue is the FoC just isn't reliable, and is rather have a blade that is noticeably  tighter over a feature that may or may not work.

I’m more partial to the Tri, FOC just doesn’t really appeal to me. I’d recommend getting at least one Tri to see if you’d like it

I only have FOC on my Emerald saber, and I don't have any TRI-Cree sabers, but I would definitely prefer the brighter blade over the FOC.

Flash on clash is kinda....meh to me. Tri-Cree is really nice, especially with Fire Orange. I love mine.

I have to agree, I love my Tri-Cree Fire Orange.

Considering it makes the color as bright as my other, regular LED colors, I'd say it's almost a necessity for that color.

I've heard the difference between the regular and Tri-Cree FO is the most visible.

I don't have a regular for comparison, but considering my AB saber is a bit brighter, I'd say it must be true.
