Title: Resident Masters
Post by: Ultra on January 31, 2018, 12:32:38 AM
When giving and receiving advice from others regarding any contact sport, your peers are often great references.  We encourage discussion and the sharing of experiences so that all may learn.

However, there is a difference between discussion and formal instructional material posted by an authority on the subject.

Only instructors recognized by Saber Forum's Resident Masters may post formal instructional material.  I'm sure you can tell the difference, but to be clear, a post saying "Here is how I do this" is quite a bit different than a post stating "This is the right way to do this".

We only want experienced instructors posting instructional material here because we don't want people getting hurt.  We want the instructional information posted in this section to be tested, reliable, and vetted by those with the proper training and experience.

Saber Forum's Resident Masters establish the standards for acceptance into their order.  Until further notice the minimum standards for consideration are:

You must be a licensed instructor with a nationally recognized pugilistic sports institution or association and have a school or class that you teach regularly.

Master Nero is the one who updates and maintains the list. I created this new thread to get rid of some of the irrelevant discussion from many years ago on the old one.

My Spiritual Master said that as soon as one starts to think himself a Master he starts to fall. You can call yourself whatever you want based on circumstance, but in your Soul see yourself as a Spiritual Master, not just a Master.

I am nothing more than the Eternal Student.

Master here means nothing more than Teacher my good friend. Sifu, Sensei, Guro, Professor....etc...

( yes, I responded to this ancient post! )  ;D
