I need your help forum. what colors were Darth Revan's sabers and he used both the Butcher and Savior at the same time? iv'e read that he had either blue or green as a jedi. then it turned purple on its own? the pictures often depict him using blue and purple. any info would be welcome. sorry, i guess the newb has struck again.

I did since searching last night. His original color was blue, this changed in its in to purple when he went to the dark side. After he became a Jedi again he switch the crystal to a green one. This is the Butcher style. All picture I have seen of the savior style shows a red blade. And there are pictures of him holding the purple and red together.

In the game Knights of the Old Republic, he's depicted as a Sith with a red blade. Since the design originated in that game, that would be the Savior. Like TX, I've also seen depictions where one saber is red and the other is purple.

I’ve seen him in the comics as a Sith holding a BR for the Savior and a DVA for the Butcher

I can't decide between GB with VA FOC or DVA with AS FOC for the Butcher...

Hi.  I thought that the Butcher is in red and then after he left the dark side the redeemed Revan's Savior saber would have a purple Blade.  :-\

Ironically, the Savior is supposed to be the saber he carried as a Dark Lord of the Sith in his attempt to take over the galaxy. He likely constructed it as a Padawan and carried it into battle as a Jedi in the Mandalorian Wars. Whatever its original color, it was red when he was a Sith. After he was betrayed by Malak and lost his memories, he returned to the Jedi and was retrained to be a Jedi. The Butcher is the saber he built as a Padawan the second time. At first, it had a blue blade, then he changed it to green. He was held captive by the Sith for several years and, after being rescued, he changed it to purple. So, despite the names, the Savior is his Sith saber, and the Butcher is his redeemed Jedi saber.

Interesting, I always connected that hilt with SWTOR as in the KOTOR cutscenes Revan seems to build a 'regular' (Saviour-style) saber…

Side note: The Butcher is growing on me and starts to move up my wishlist ;D

So Blazing Red savior and DVA butcher. got it. Thanks again. I was thinking about going cannon on these, but I think I may go with a blue butcher with guardian blue blade and a spectre with DVA blade. yeah, I'm definitely feeling that. anyway, point to you for clearing things up.

Indeed, all of the KOTOR regular lightsabers look like the same. So, it looks like the Savior. However, the retcon is that he only built one saber during his redemption and carried that thereafter, so the Butcher (from SWTOR) is supposed to be it.

Blazing Red for the Butcher (red anodizing) and Fire Orange for the Savior (gold anodizing). Well, that's what I'm thinking anyway  :P
