Um, WOW! That's all I've got to say. I mean, with a high enough order, you could score 4 free sabers, including one that's a one-off custom. Freaking outstanding. I can't afford an order like that, but I'll probably be able to put in a $300 order and get myself a free Initiate. I've never seen that low of a price for a free Initiate, so it's too good to pass. I'm thinking of a new V5 saber, either an Apprentice or Sentinel, with sound and various optional extras, a spare blade, and I'll be at $300. :)

US is out of control and that's a good thing!

"Chance at 4 free sabers" is something people keep saying. It doesn't sound to me like it's a raffle to win 4 sabers, but that someone can get 1 free with a 300$ order which can be combined with each increasing level, meaning 1500$ orders get 4 free sabers. So, the 'chance' part doesn't sound right. Unless I've misunderstood.

And, is this a chance to be 'eligible' for a saber with the coupon code or does the code mean a free saber?

This one only pommel ( as far as I know ) was taken from a frankensaber and a forum friend gifted it to me cuz I really liked it.  :D

I'm sure it's as Dauntless Seven and James Casey said, the people saying "chance" mean "opportunity." But, you're absolutely right, there's no random chance involved here. If you spend enough money (and remember to put in the codes) you will get free sabers. Amazing! It never ceases to amaze me how Ultrasabers does all of these giveaways. I know of no other saber company that gives away so much stuff.

Either way, I was going to order 3 - V5's. I had already ordered 1 presale Dark Apprentice last week with the 15% off coupon added to the presale discount. Today I ordered my Dark Sentinel LE & Sentinel LE.


Whatever chance, opportunity, die roll, etc, this offer has for additional sabers, is just the cherry on the top.

I might have to get in on this one. I've been thinking about an order for the past couple of months, but still undecided whether or not I'm going for it. With the guarantee of at least 1 free saber, that is very worth it for me. I'll let you guys know what I decide.

Also, are there any members still around who have actually gotten a Frankensaber? Would love to see some pics if there are.

The few pics that I recall are likely no longer available thanks to photobucket... who likes a cat better.  These things...err mace like sabers were both unique and monster sized.  Easily 22 - 26 " long and made up from various saber parts/sections and some prototypes/samples.  ;D

Prototype parts as well, huh? That alone makes it worth while since whoever wins will have a one off part somewhere on the saber. I can’t go for the highest amount but I’ll dwfinitely dabble in it

There is no guarantee that the built combination will include any unknown parts... but it does tend to happen on a frankensaber.  Members have also customized their own... and that result has been fun, weird and outrageous lol.  :)

If you read the post from US it says random parts from the US arsenal. So they may have used prototype parts in the past but I wouldn't expect it.

This is so so so tempting, but Guh...in order to get up to $1,500 you gotta buy 2-3 really featured-up sabers, and then you get the free 4.  While it would be cool to have 7 more sabers, lol...I just can’t justify it.  I barely have room for the ones I have now. 

I just can't justify spending $1500 on one order of (I know, blasphemy) toys. I spent $1500 on a computer and that hurt. Gonna be buying a vehicle sometime which will more than likely be more than $1500. 7 sabers, no problem. $1500 dollars on them. Big one.

$1500 is 5x what I plan to spend. I just want a free Initiate.

I'm thinking I may be able to do two $300 purchases. One with a saber (if I decide to get it), and one with a Mbox and various paraphernalia. Would be able to get 2 free sabers that way.

I was going to do a sound saber, but I'm leaning more towards some V5 empties so I can do my DIY thing. I may get one stunt, though, just so I have a saber to play around with right away, besides the free Initiate. Plus, even getting one each of the new V5s (Initiate, Apprentice, Aeon and Sentinel) empty isn't even $300. Though, I have ways of boosting the costs of some of them to get me into free Initiate territory.  8)

I'm looking at stunts myself. I look forward to you'll be doing, SFD.

I hear you on that one. I have to skip a lot of sales and raffles due to finances, so I too like to plan ahead. The free Initiate is a sure thing and too good for me to pass, but I certainly understand waiting to see what's on the horizon. This will likely be my final US purchase for the year, and I plan to spread the builds out to get me through the Winter, along with building some other empties to keep me from buying more sabers. ;)

I want the Butcher. But I may just skip this sale and stockpile some $$$$. Does anyone know if they do Christmas sales every year? I could save up a decent amount of money for a raffle then. Maybe enough to get a couple sabers OR an emerald saber.

I think that US is doing the Halloween sale for this month, will do the raffle for Thanksgiving and Christmas, then end the year with a sale/raffle for New Years.

Who knows what they will do. They may decide that after the Halloween Giveaway they will no longer do any type of raffle/giveaway or anything like that. Don't get your hopes up for something they may decide not to do. (I don't really think they will stop doing things, I'm just stating a fact). ;)

This is a valid point. They went a few months at the beginning of this year with no big promotions. But, it's usually safe to say with Ultrasabers that there will be future promotions, we just never know what they are or when they'll be.

The question gains in size and strength:  can I afford $1,500 for this?  No, stop it.  But...sabers!  No, stop it.  But but - a Frankensaber made out of all the things US has now???  STAHP.

Looks like pretty standard random MHS parts swaps to me. I'm not saying they aren't cool and getting one free won't be good if you can afford $1500, just saying what they look like. It does look like some prototype parts may have been used on some of them, making them really unique.

I do like prototype parts since they can be  "1 or a few" off parts that most of the pop won't have.  Point incoming to Kai for finding that picture

Nice find.  I have seen different photos with more creative and longer Frankensabers as well.  Could not find them using the Search function.  Photobucket calamity ?!  3 years ago the azure/crimson Omen option would have been a new saber.  Looks like my pommel was made at least a few times.  :)

Nope, it will just be a bonus stunt saber in the box. You'll have to guesstimate on the blade color. I've seen a few Apprentices in the free Initiates, but a lot of the ones I've seen over the past couple years have been the Initiate (and Dark Initiate) V2. Mystery boxes have some writing on the paper, I've seen it in peoples' videos. If it comes with sound, it comes with an extra paper saying what sound module you have. But, that's about it.

Pretty much, free sabers are like grab bags, you'll never know what you'll get unless the model is specified but color-wise, it's a guess.

Probably gonna get in on this pretty soon. Still trying to decide if I want to throw in a MB for myself or not.
