Title: Samick's Luck Cantina TOR 2019 RPG short game
Post by: B1ondeange1 on December 17, 2018, 10:08:30 AM
Samick's Luck Cantina, Nar Shaddaa

It's 8 years after the Treaty of Coruscant. Samick's Luck Cantina is located in neutral space on the Hutt planet of Nar Shaddaa. In this area of the city people from the Sith Empire and the Republic can come if they so choose, though tensions regularly remain high between the Empire and the Republic. Samick's Luck Cantina is a bit better presented and more upmarket than cantinas in the lower city. The main bar is a large room at the end of a long entrance hall, with a large circular central bar. Off to one side there is a large stage that usually hosts live bands and real dancing girls, rather than the cheaper holograms. Here there is a small dancing floor and half circular lounges where patrons can sit and watch the show, or be entertained by dancing girls at their own booth. The opposite end of the bar is a little quieter, with lounge booths and tables. There are brightly coloured neon lights that provide booth and accent lighting in an otherwise darker room, giving the place more of a Nar Shaddaa nightclub vibe.

From this main bar area there are smaller rooms where patrons can indulge in a bit of gambling, with pazaak a popular favourite along with multiple hologames and a few betting machines. The largest of these rooms leads directly from the main bar opposite the cantina entrance hall through a set of doors and short hall and has its own smaller bar and a small stage that has either holo or live dancing girls. Two smaller rooms lead off from it one to the left and one to the right, with double doors to each that are usually kept open to make the rooms feel more open and spacious. These three interconnected rooms are far less garish with more muted coloured lighting, providing enough lighting for gambling players at the various tables while also giving a bit more privacy at the darker booths around the edge of the rooms. Music is fed from the live band in the main bar but at a quieter volume. Leading from the back corner of the main bar is a hall way that leads off to the kitchen, the store rooms, staff room and the manager's office.

To a casual glance this usually very busy cantina seems more respectable than many and does often attract a slightly higher class of patrons, however this is Nar Shaddaa. On the Smuggler's Moon the underworld reigns. Some people come here to party and socialise, some come to gamble but others, they come here to talk business. The cantina is owned by Hutts, though it's left to an underling to run. This underling handles certain tasks and contract work on behalf of the Hutts, using the cantina as a meeting point. With all the noise and distractions it is a perfect place to do business unnoticed. If you know who to talk to you can usually find an information broker lurking around, or someone prepared to sell you illegal goods. A few low level handlers will offer easy low paying jobs for the Hutt Syndicate, and occasionally an operative from an opposing syndicate may get brave and try and offer work here under the noses of the Hutts, though the penalty for getting caught is harsh. For those not in the know, this appears to be just another cantina, serving a variety of drinks and bar food options.

Do you come here simply to have a good time, to find out information and rumours, or to find work?

This bar is owned by Hutts, and has Nikto guards at the door keeping the peace. While weapons are allowed in the bar, violence is discouraged, lest you wish to upset the Hutts.

Remember, keep your first post in particular descriptive. As there are no character sheets provided for your character you will need to give enough of a description so that others can picture them.

Every post should be started with your character's name, short race/ alignment/ position description, and your character's location, for example:

:: Belyra Vekraa, Human Smuggler
Main bar, Samick's Luck Cantina ::

This is what we do in our main games to prevent confusion so please practice it here.

Keep it civil, and have fun!

::Hunter Travis, Human Imperial Cipher Agent
Main bar, Samick’s Luck Cantina::

Hunter walked into the Cantina squinting as his eyes adjusted to the change in illumination. A tallish and slender human he was dressed in a high quality three piece black suit with a blood red shirt. He nodded towards the armed Nikto guards his own weapons concealed on his body. If the force favored him, they would stay concealed.

A broad smile crossed Hunter’s face as he approached the Main bar, “Bourbon neat, Alderaanian if you have it.” He said as he sat on the nearest stool, the Cantina was filling up and the atmosphere was festive but it almost always was on the smuggler’s moon. He looked around the room it was festive and there seemed to be a few mildly interesting characters but nothing of value to the Empire.

As soon as his drink arrived he took a sip swirling the alcohol around his mouth, decent bordering on good but not the region he was looking for, but considering the surroundings probably the best he was going to get. He put enough credits for two bottles on the bar and smiled, “Leave the bottle if you would my friend.”

He examined the bartender’s reaction as he placed the bottle on the bar and took the credits, he seemed pleased but not impressed exactly the reaction Hunter was looking for. “I don’t mean to bother you,” Hunter began as he took another sip of his drink, “but you don’t expect to see any of those Sith or Jedi here tonight do you?”

The bartender shook his head with a slight grin, “Well you never know when one will show up here, it’s not like they announce their presence beforehand.”

Chuckling softly Hunter grinned, “Quite right, quite right. But they have been here before right?”

“Oh yes, many times,” the bartender began, “there have even been a few dust ups, but our guards have kept them in check,” he said as he nodded towards the guards. “Everyone fears the Hutts here, even the mighty force users.”

“I bet they do,” Hunter said with a smile, “but have you ever seen them in full glory, saber vs. saber, Jedi Master vs. Sith Lord?”

“Can’t say that I have, except of course on the holo’s,” the bartender said looking at the man in front of him. “Have you?”

Smirking as he finished his drink, Hunter nodded, “I saw a battle once, a Jedi Master and his Padawan were fighting a powerful Sith Lord, a Sith Lord that rumor had it had many times gone against the will of the Sith Dark Council,” Hunter paused for a moment as he poured another drink.

“That Sith with one blade held the two Jedi at bay, he was a master with a light saber his form was beauty, a work of art that everyone should have seen. Well he took down the Jedi Master and was moving towards the Padawan when the platform they were on exploded and bits of Jedi and Sith rained down upon all who were watching.”

Hunter took another drink and shook his head, “Sometime the mighty get so focused with their own struggles that the little folk sneak right up below them, . . .  well anyways thanks for your time.”

Hunter took his bottle and his glass and headed towards a booth in the corner.

:: Sola Navin, Human Sith-inquisitor.
Main bar, Samick's Luck Cantina. ::

Sola Navin took the last few steps of the hallway, towards the main doorway to the cantina. Entering, she paused and looked at her surroundings..... "No Jedi, good" she thought. Sola was was a taller, and relatively slim female human, a "Sith Inquisitor" although she preferred not to apply labels, beyond being Sith. Only just shy of 25 standard years old, she was fresh out of training with her former master. She was wearing her normal outfit, an open black leather trench coat, a tight black sleeveless shirt with only very marginal armor padding, black leather gauntlets, black padded leggings, her black leather sword belt, and black leather knee high boots. Her naturally golden blond hair, which was dyed a bright shade of pink, pulled back in a somewhat messy bun, her round blue eyes were lined with what some would call perhaps a bit too much black eyeliner, and her thick lashes were full of black mascara, on her lips was a subtle shade of dark red lipstick.

A silver and black cylinder, slanted to a point at both ends, hung from her belt, obscured somewhat by the trench coat. Sola noticed the guards that were all around the room, every exit covered. She hoped they either didn't mind her weapon, or didn't notice. She would prefer NOT to have to kill the guards, the trouble with the Hutts, though the Empire could get her out of it, would be quite bothersome. She approached a booth, passing by a man she recognized as an Imperial agent, though he was not in uniform. She didn't even acknowledge him, he had nothing to do with why she was here, Sola was here to find a smuggler to hire.

She sat in her booth scanning the room for a candidate, a cool but but focused look on her face. A waiter droid approached her booth. "I am..."

"I'll have a Corellian Ale, please," she interrupted in a demure Kaas City accent, "and no pleasantries." She glared at the droid.

"Yes Ma'am," the droid said in a robotic, genderless voice as it rolled off to fetch her drink....

:: Zaliz Zan, Miraluka Sith Marauder.
Main Bar, Samick's Luck Cantina ::

Zan entered the Cantina, slightly adjusting the black sash wrapped around where his eyes would be. At a quick glance, Zan appeared to look like a young man. Truth be told, he was quickly approaching Forty. Grey's appearing in his raven black hair, crows feet creeping up around his eyes.

Walking further in, he removed his black combat gloves and stuck them into his belt near where one of his two lightsabers would normally be. While it was a strange feeling to be without his sabers, he could rely on his Teras Kasi training, or his trusty Parang. Which he had hidden at the small of his back, secured by his belt. He wore a simple black long sleeve tunic, which was not his normal attire. He briefly scanned the room, noting a couple of fellow warriors and/or agents. His contact told him to make his presence known, so he decided to make it blatantly obvious he had arrived, turning towards the main bar.

He approached the bar, " looking "  over it's wares. He sensed what he was looking for, a bottle of Idlewil. He Force pulled the bottle to him, getting an immediate reaction out of those near him, the Bartender and the guards. The guards quickly armed their weapons and focused all their attention on him. Zan set double the amount of credits down on the table, the Bartender approaching.

" Not again. We've told you countless times, no Force powers. " The Bartender said as he swiped the credits off the table angrily.

" No trouble today. I'm here for pleasure....and a little business. Just needed to let them know I'm here. Now they know. " Zan said as he opened the bottle and took a long drink. He then sat down at the bar.

" Well, no fighting. Especially if a Jedi comes in here.  Everyone has been on edge recently. " The Bartender said as he walked away.

" No fighting. Tell the Hutt's im here. Just in case they need my....expertise. " Zan said as he took another swig from the bottle.

He knew drinking would dull his ability to see clearly, but with how things had been for him recently, he needed it. Badly. He continued to nurse the bottle of Idlewil. Attempting to turn his awareness completely off. This would be one of the very few days he was not completely aware of everything around him. He could feel the inner rage wanting to let itself out, but he had to contain it. Now wasn't the time. Perhaps a game or two would settle his nerves.

:: Zendrah Tuul, Human Sith Marauder.
Main bar, Samick's Luck Cantina. ::

Zendrah's slender form glided into the room, her boots barely making an audible sound. Her emerald eyes scanned the room, identifying potential dangers. Her attire consisted of a floor length black leather tabbard over fitted black light armor that covers her torso, pelvis and arms leaving only her legs uncovered. Her boots were thigh height, black and armored boots matching the rest of her armored outfit. Today she also wore a hooded cape and a rebreather style mask that modulated her voice giving the sound a sinister synthetic tone. As she moved forward the cape flared slightly and revealed two identical lightsabers, hangin from her belt one at each hip. The lower grip section of these weapons is a gunmetal gray color with black rubber grips, the upper half sports gunmetal gray color with a blaster shroud style emitter, over top this is a silver S-curve shroud. The mid point of the weapons houses the activation box.

As she moved her lengthy black hair slipped out from beneath the hood, prompting the woman to lower her hood to fix the issue. As the hood came down the bundle of black hair unfurled to its full length, just passed Zendrah's mid thigh. Zendrah let out a sigh and sat down in a nearby empty booth. As she removed her rebreather a droid waiter approached.

"Red wine," Zendrah said, her voice betraying her Alderannian heritage, "I do not care what kind."

:: Rauk Kartoo, Kasa Horansi, Bounty Hunter/Pilot::
::Booth Side room, Samick’s Cantina, Nar Shaddaa::

Rauk glared past the dancing girl hollo on the table in front of him towards the entrance from the hallway to the main bar. He had positioned himself in the booth so that he sat in the shadows but had a good view of the comings and goings of the Cantinas patrons. He wore his dark hooded coat and a modified breathe mask sat on the table next to him.

“So your contact is late then” he growled at the Twi’Lek sitting opposite him in the booth. The Twi’Lek shifted uncomfortably his lekku twitching and his eyes looking anywhere but into the yellow eyes of the striped alien.

She will come” said the Duros who was sitting next to the Twi’Lek and who seemed somewhat less intimated.

“She best come soon” the Horansi replied reaching out his armour clad arm and hooking a razor sharp claw over the rim of the Duros glass.

She will come” the Duros repeated seeming unperturbed by Rauks threatening manner. “We understand you are a skilled hunter and that your time is valuable but I think you will find that the proposition we have for you is somewhat more lucrative for you than the work you have been undertaking of late.”

Rauk considered the Duros for a moment as he watched beings enter the bar, some Humans, what could well be a Miraluka, Ugnaughts, Bith.  The work he had been doing lately for the Hutts had been very lucrative particularly the last two bounties, it took some courage to make a statement like that especially in a Hutt run Cantina.

“Well I am here and I am listening” Rauk said “but if your contact is not here in the next 5 minutes I am going back to my ship.”

Across the table the Twi’Lek continued to squirm, evidently the thought of the consequences of being in the employ of both whoever paid the Duros, and the Hutts at the same time were causing him to have regrets about setting this meeting up.

:: Terran Hastinns, Human Mercenary ::
:: Main bar, Samick’s Luck Cantina ::

Terran was a handsome man in a rugged sort of way. Or so he’d been told. It seemed black hair and blue eyes was a good combination. He flipped his thick, lengthening hair out of his eyes as he strode into the cantina. He wasn’t really looking for attention, but if some came his way, well . . . that was just fine.

Taking a quick look around, he noticed the Nikto guards at the various exits, and winced as he remember his last run in with the Hutts. It probably wasn’t a smart move for someone like him to be back in Hutt territory, but he knew if the Hutts had wanted him dead, he’d be dead already, so he wasn’t too worried. He’d left his weapons back at his motel room so he wouldn’t have to worry about the guards trying to kick him out for it. Seems as if it wouldn’t have mattered too much here.

Terran unbuttoned his blue jacket as he sat down on one of the benches at the bar. It had been a while since he had had a drink. Truth be told, he didn’t much care for alcohol, but he needed to look like he had a purpose for being here.

“Whadda you want?” The bartender asked.

Looking around, Terran noticed a darkly clad Miraluka sitting a few places down.

“I’ll have what he’s having” he said motioning towards the man.

As the bartender moved off to get the drink, Terran pulled out some credits. Should be enough. He thought as he set them down on the countertop. Glancing around the room, he noticed quite a few other darkly dressed characters. But what he was really looking for was an empty table. One where someone couldn’t sneak up behind him without him noticing, as well as where he could watch all the entrances to the main bar. He spied one off to the side opposite the dance floor.

The bartender brought him his drink then looked down at the credits and grabbed them, walking off to serve other customers. Terran took his drink, walked over towards his chosen table and sat down. Putting his feet up on the table and taking a sip of his drink, he looked out at the rest of the patrons trying to decide what his next move was. He needed a partner, or a crew to take him on or something. He was running a bit low on credits, and needed the work. Maybe he’d meet someone in here who would hire a man like him.

::Talon Gim, Mandalorian Force Hunter::
::Main bar, Samick's Luck Cantina::

Coming in through the door from the street, the Mandalorian drew the attention of the guards closest to the door. He was still wearing his armor, thick beskar plates, including a gorget to protect his neck from blades, the entire outfit painted the color of dried blood. A pair of visibly broken lightsabers hung on the left side of his belt, framed by Padawan braids. A Verpine Shatter Rifle was slung across his back and a forward curving beskar'gam hung at his hip. The armor on his forearms was bulky with concealed tools. Pausing just inside the room, he turned his head from side to side, watching the guards from behind his visor.

Reaching up slowly, he pulled off his helmet, revealing a lean face. Talon was scarred, the white pockmarks of shrapnel around his eye and cheek standing out even against his too-pale skin. Seeing the helmet come off, the more nervous of the guards relaxed, understanding that was as good a signal of nonviolence as they were likely to get from a Mandalorian. Moving towards the bar, he spotted the various Imperial agents, some who his experience of working for the Empire, told him were probably carrying lightsabers. Neither of them looked familiar, but he nodded greetings to them anyway as he walked up to the bar.

"Get you something?" The bartender asked as Talon took a seat at the bar.
"Corellian ale, and a bantha steak, medium rare." Reaching into a pouch, Talon withdrew a credit chip and set it down on the counter. The bartender took it, leaving a bottle of the requested ale for him. Taking it, Talon flicked the cap off with his thumb and sipped the drink, grunting happily at the bite.

Turning around on his seat, he looked around the bar again, studying the other patrons with a new focus.

"Looking for someone?" The bartender asked from behind him.
"Not specifically, I'm between tasking." The other man took the hin and stopped talking, leaving Talon to his drink.

:: Sola Navin, Human Sith-inquisitor.
Main bar, Samick's Luck Cantina. ::

Sola sat at her table sipping her drink, while using her telepathy to listen in on some of the other patrons thoughts.None of them were remotely interesting, such a boring crowd. This was the worst Corellian ale she'd had, it tasted like it had begun to go stale. "I'd rather have one of the Kaas style ales, too bad they're near impossible to find off Dromund Kaas..." She said quietly to herself, a small frown on her face. She missed home. Unlike most Sith, Dromund Kaas was her actual home world, in fact she often thought she was the only native in the whole of Kaas City.

Sola perked up when she saw a man in a blue jacket enter, mercenary, by the looks of it. A quick glance into his head confirmed this. And he was desperately seeking work. Perfect. He ordered his drink and sat at a nearby table. Sola approached somewhat cautiously. She stopped across from the man. "You look like just like the type of man I'm looking for." She said in a coy voice.

:: Zaliz Zan, Miraluka Sith Marauder
Main bar/Small Room, Samick's Luck Cantina::

Zan was about a third of the way through the bottle of Idlewil when the bartender approached.

“ This just came in for you.  “ He said, holding a comlink.

Zan pulled some more credits, passing them towards the bartender. He handed Zan the comlink and pocketed the credits.

“ The Empire sure does pay well. “ The bartender smirked.

“ Remember that when Imperial Agents come here looking for information. “ Zan said as he stood, leaving the bottle of Idlewil and making his way towards the smaller room on the left.

As he passed through the double doors he scanned the room to make sure it was empty, motioning with a slight flick of the hand towards the doors and quietly closing them with the help of the Force. He knew the comlink would be safeguarded and require his DNA to be unlocked. He gripped it tightly, feeling a small prick in his palm. The comlink immediately came to life.

“ Go for Talon. “ Zan said into the comlink as he moved to a corner table in the room. Facing the double doors and having a seat.

“ Talon, this is Overwatch. We have an Operation for you that comes straight from the Keeper. You are tasked with putting together a group for the sole purpose of gathering Jedi movements and positions on Coruscant. You are to avoid engaging their forces at all costs. Over. “ The feminine voice said.

“ Overwatch, this mission could of been given to me through the normal channels. Why this annoyance? Over.  “ Zan said with a calm rage. He hated his time be wasting.

“ Your team will be off the grid. If you are captured the Sith Empire will denounce you as rogue agents. Nar Shadda should be the perfect place for you to put a team together. Over. “ The voice said.

“ Well then. Off the grid. I finally get to do things my way. Talon copies, over and out. “ Zan said as he crushed the comlink and then sent a small jolt of force lightning through the device. All but incinerating it.

He dusted off his hands and returned his combat gloves. “ No more time for pleasantries. “ He thought to himself as he stood and made his way towards the double doors, pushing them open and walking back out to the main bar. He slowly scanned the patrons. It was as good as any place to start.

He had felt the presence of fellow Sith, deciding to approach the Marauder first. He made his way to the woman clad in a black leather tabard which had light armor covering the torso.  He could smell the red wine she was sipping on. Knowing full well she sensed him walking directly towards her. He knew he couldn't tell her of the operation outright, so he needed to gauge how passionate she was about ending the Armistice, and what follows.

“ Greetings sister. A moment of your time? “ He said as he motioned to the chair across from her.

:: Aletani, Human Sith Juggernaut
Main Bar, Samick’s Luck Cantina ::

Striding with a casual assurance about her, Aletani mirrored the Niktos’ head tilt of recognition as she passed the pair guarding the main entrance to the cantina. A regular in the establishment, her normal stool at the large, main bar stood empty. A Twi’lek with a slave collar and cook’s attire peeked from behind the kitchen’s access panel, their distant eyes lit as they caught sight of the Sith.

Raven black hair, closely cropped, crowned her pale, would-be beautiful features if not for the long jagged scar carved from her right temple down past the high collar of her form fitting, sleeveless, wraid leather vest. A viciously striking apex predator was tattooed along the length of her left arm which swung easily above a long hilted saber, while her right arm reflected the neon lighting of the cantina – a hybrid biomechanical prosthetic from fingertip up past the shoulder hem of her vest. Slung low across her hips was a pair of black, deeply side-slitted hakama, her saber hooked to the long ties wrapped about her lithe form. Armored boots peeked silently from the hem of her flowing pants as she strode across the cantina proper. Her molten orange eyes caught the Twi’lek’s and she gave a faint nod as she neared the bar top and took her usual seat. With a small bob of his head, the cook swiftly disappeared back into the kitchen.

Resting her forearms on the bar top, her usually stoic expression softened ever so slightly as the bartender walked over. His amiable mask of civility for most patrons took on a more sincere smile as he greeted her,

“Aletani, Welcome in. Your usual? Did Terrin start your steak already?” he gave a knowing wink as the diminutive, blue skinned Twi’lek strode quickly out proudly with a mouthwatering spread of steak and tubers. The Sith woman smiled faintly with just a tightening at the corners of her eyes as the cooking slave bowed respectfully and placed the meal in front of her. Drawing a small credit chit from a hidden pocket in the waist of her vest, she slid it over to the Twi’lek. The Bartender was already pouring a strong whiskey into a tumbler as she replied,

“Yes, the usual - thanks, Terrin,” her voice was low, but carried just enough inflection to express her gratitude to each man across the bar top from her. She raised the tumbler of whiskey, neat, for a sip, her gaze meeting theirs in the routine dismissal of their services. Both amiably went back to their respective business, understanding that while they’d known each other well many years ago, she was a Sith now, and that called for certain protocols in the public eye.

Aletani’s eyes roamed the cantina casually as she ate, her attention split between the here and now, and the past...

As a native born to the Hutt planet, she’d grown up as a runner slave for a now fallen, small time Hutt who’d ended up selling her to a Sith Inquisitor for training and experimentation at a young age. Her Force abilities coupled with her physical stamina had fueled the Sith Inquisitor’s curiosity to push her to the edge of her endurance – mentally and physically. By the time her master had devolved fully into an unhinged nuisance for the Sith council and he’d be summarily executed, she’d been formed into the brutally efficient Sith Juggernaut that she was today. Shifted around from Lord to Lord for their dirty work over the years, she’d eventually wound up here on Nar Shaddaa in a Sith enclave. The Inquisitor in charge of the operations of the enclave worked silently in the background with his various machinations while she would be sent on various Sith or Hutt missions as their whims directed. The irony of being back on her home world, working for Sith and Hutt alike, was not lost on her, but the power and respect she had now elevated her from slave to enforcer. She had a much greater deal of freedom and without ambitions to rise to the deadly and petty ranks of Sith Lord, she was comfortable with her place in the galaxy, if a bit bored…

As Zendrah watched the patrons of the cantina, she pulled an expensive looking pendant from a pouch on her belt. The pendant was the kind that only the richest of nobles and royalty could afford. It had a woven white and yellow gold necklace with a large triangular blue stone surrounded by diamonds as the centerpiece. Zendrah let herself smile fondly as the memories of whom had given her the jewelry came to mind. She briefly wondered what her younger brother would think of her now. Her expression turned cold as soon as she felt someone approach.

"Sister? I am not your sister." she replied to the man, "Have a seat. Am I correct to assume this has something to do with the comlink I saw the Bartender give you?"

Zendrah downed the remainder of her wine as the man seated himself.

:: Argon Shol, Human Sith Juggernaut ::
:: Main Bar, Samick's Luck Cantina ::

Argon Shol was not very tall by Human standards but was broadly built.  Even standing a head shorter than many other Sith his physical power could not be denied nor his skill with his saber.  Normally Shol would be wearing his armor but for this outing he chose his simple traveling robes. As he entered the Main room he lowered his hood and the Nikto Guards instantly glanced his way. It was a reaction Shol was used to, The Black and Gold lower face mask mixed with his cybernetic right eye and long red hair tended to garner stares.  He nodded at the guards and walked further in and scanned the room.  His mask wasn't necessary for him to breath like so many others that wore one, such as Darth Malgus.  It's function was to mimic the abilities of predators.  It scanned scents from the air and fed details to his Eye, it made him an efficient tracker.

He made his way towards the back of the room to a booth that was occupied by a human male and a Twe'lik female, he didn't need his readout to see they were intoxicated.  The pair noticed him approach and froze.

"Move." The words came out deep and smooth, altered by the mask.

The pair scrambled over each other to leave the table.  Shol took a seat and scanned the room visually this time.  As expected the bar teemed with smugglers, mercenaries and other forms of scum the Hutts attracted.  Shol longed for the day when they no longer needed to "play nice" with the Slugs.  He also made note of the few other Sith around the room including two sitting together.  His curiosity was slightly piqued at their motivations for being here.  What had their Masters sent them to do, or perhaps they were here of their own initiative like he was.  No matter.  It was time to focus on his reason for being here.

His master cared not where he went anymore, all he cared about was building his personal Library of Sith Tomes.  It had become an obsession after the Treaty was signed. Shol understood the power of having such a library, but did not like neglecting his physical training. So, he found battles and found the love of the hunt. Not beasts, but combatants.  The thrill of chasing an opponent down then engaging them in a fight to the death was what he lived for now, until a new purpose presents itself.  He is here to seek a new quarry.

As he sat across from the fellow Sith, he could sense her disdain. He grinned, already liking her.

“ We are all children of Bogan, but if you prefer, I will call you by your given name. My name is Zan. “ Zan said as he crossed his arms.

Zan agreed the pass of the com was clumsy, but Overwatch had probably done that on purpose to catch some of the other patrons attention. He also decided to get straight to the point. The Idlewil was obviously clouding better judgment.

" And yes, this has to do with the comlink. Tell me. Are you as tired of the Armistice with the Jedi as I am?  " He asked.

Zendrah raised an eyebrow.

"Exhausted would be more accurate. However I have never been one to let the Armistice hinder me from achieving my goals." Zendrah said.

"My name is Zendrah. So, just what is this all about?" Zendrah wasn't quite sure what to make of Zan. He certainly seemed likable enough, though many Sith did at first. She wondered how long it would be before one of the two of them tried to kill the other.

“ Doing what needs to be done. We both know the Powers that be probably have some grand scheme or plan in the works. That being said, it is taking too long. Eight long years. Before the Treaty, we nearly had the Jedi on the run. If not for the Armistice, things would be much different by now. Im leaving the Empire so that I can better serve the Empire. I am looking for warriors of a like mind to form a team. A Team with one purpose. The Fall of the Jedi. “ Zan said, knowing full well that where they were sitting was in range of many of the patrons in the room.

Zendrah gave a mischievous grin. She liked where things were going. Perhaps he's not so bad afterall, she thought

"And with them out of the way the Republic falls soon after, and another step closer to my ultimate goal. Count me in." Zendrah said relishing the thought of her plans coming to fruition. Zendrah motioned for the waiter droid to come over.

"Perhaps a drink to celebrate our new partnership?" she asked as she waited on the droid's arrival.

Zan's attention was drawn to some commotion at the back of the room. He made note of the Sith, turning his attention back to Zendrah as the droid arrived.

" Yes, a drink. " Zan said, reaching out with the Force for a moment to get a sense of those around him.

::Talon Gim, Mandalorian Force Hunter::
::Main Bar, Samick's Luck Cantina::

Even after being given the steak he'd ordered, Talon didn't relax fully. His eyes panned over the bar's other occupants. The Mandalorian wasn't relaxed, even here on supposedly neutral ground. He tracked the various Sith agents the way you'd track a dangerous animal that you had been safe around before, but could never really predict.

The marauders caused him the most uncertainty, he didn't really like them, even though he'd worked with marauders in the past. The Miralukan looked familiar, but Talon couldn't place him exactly. Seeing the two Sith talking, he shifted slightly on his stool so that he could keep an eye on them as he was eating.

He glanced over at the mercenary in the blue coat, wondering what the man was doing here and if the merc knew the risks he was taking by coming into a bar full of Sith operatives. Sipping his ale, he grunted, it was the kid's choice, if he messed up and pissed someone off, it wasn't going to be on Talon's head.

:: Koryn Haldri, Undercover Nautolan Jedi Sentinel::
::Main bar, Samicks Luck Cantina ::

Koryn walked through the long entryway into the main bar. He didn’t attract much attention, even though his light green skin and long head tails common to all Nautolans did draw a few stares. Although the clothing he was wearing didn’t attract much attention at all. It was a thin black jacket with a deep red undershirt and dark brown pants with a medium blaster pistol on his hip, though the gas canister was noticeably removed. But that didn’t concern him one bit, it was in his pocket after all. And if he really needed something a bit more flashy his two sabers were hidden in an interior pocket of his jacket, concealed within the many folds in the fabric.
He walked through the room towards the main bar. He knew that in an establishment like this there were bound to be some Sith but he wasn’t too worried. If they were in a place like this, none of them were bound to be overly powerful.
“Get ya anything?” The bartender asked, walking away from the patrons he had been serving previously.
“Novanian grog, if you got it.” he replied curtly.
“Comin’ right up” The bartender asked, walking away to get some from the back.
Koryn leaned backwards and looked around the cantina, hoping to spot something interesting.
He didn’t see much. There was a Miraluka and a Human talking quietly. A pair of Humans, one in a striking blue jacket, the other wearing more subdued clothing, but with more makeup and dye on her head than seemed common for someone at an establishment like this. He had a slight suspision that her and a few of the others were Sith and he wished he had brought at least one other person. And then there was the Mandalorian man sitting a few seats away.
All in all, pretty much what he had expected to see. The only thing he was worried about was that one or more of the Sith may be able to read minds. But he didn't have too much to worry about, after all, why attack a lone Jedi getting a drink when there are far more pressing matters in the galaxy
By this time, the bartender had finished getting his drink
        “here you go.” He said.
“Thanks.” Koryn replied, handing the bartender the requested credits.
With his drink in hand, he stood up and went over to one of the empty booths on the edge of the room and sat down, hoping something interesting would happen.

Terran Swirled his drink as he sat. Just as he took a sip, he felt something. Something was nagging at his mind, but he couldn’t figure out what it was. Then it was gone. Terran took another sip and looked up. One of the patrons was headed towards his table.

Sith? He guessed as the young woman approached.

“You look like just like the type of man I'm looking for.” She spoke then sat down.

“Well, that depends on what type of man you are looking for.” He replied. He didn’t know what she wanted, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to do another job for the Empire just yet. “Name’s Terran. What can I do for you?”

Some of the other occupants were moving around. A few more had entered. A young woman with black hair, and short, stocky, dangerous looking man, and a nautolan. Terran could tell his jacket had caught the nautolan’s eye by the way he glanced over at them as he entered. It was a beautiful jacket to be sure.

“Interesting crowd we got here tonight.” Terran said turning his attention back towards the woman who had approached him.

:: Zaliz Zan, Miraluka Sith Marauder
Main Bar, Samick’s Luck Cantina ::

Zan sensed a familiar presence, his attention being drawn to the Mandalorian at the bar briefly then returning to his conversation with Zendrah.

The droid had arrived with their drinks. A glass of Idewil for Zan, and a glass of Red Wine for Zendrah.

“ To New Beginnings “ Zendrah said.

“ To New Beginnings “ Zan repeated.

They tapped glasses and then drank. The two remained quiet for a moment, both studying their surroundings. Zan was the first to break the silence.

“ We need a crew….and it cannot be completely comprised of Sith, as much as I would enjoy that. Let’s split up and see what we can come up with. “ Zan said as he finished his drink and stood.

“ Agreed. “ Zendrah said, sipping at her wine as she continued to scan the bar for potential.

Zan made his way towards the Mandalorian, taking the seat next to him. He flagged the bartender down.

“ This man drinks for free for the rest of the day. Start a tab. “  Zan said as he turned to face the Mandalorian,

“ It has been a long time. You may not remember me, but without your help I would probably not be standing here. “ Zan was never one for sentiment, but this particular Mandalorian had saved his life after a mission had gone horribly wrong. He had been the only survivor.

The sound of the stool next to his position made Talon Gim look sideways at the Miralukan Sith who had settled into position next to him. He considered the statement of as many drinks as he could want, eventually flagging down the bartender for a new bottle of ale.

Only after it had been delivered and he'd taken off the cap to start drinking, did he turn his head to contemplate the Miralukan beside him. Now that he was up close, he could recall the way the man had looked with mud and blood on his face in the shadows during the operation.

"I remember you." Talon's voice was quiet, steady. "The extraction mission. First one I ever got sent on."

He tapped one of the broken sabers on his belt. "Where I picked up this beauty. You’re...." He shook his head, frowning. "I can't remember your name, don't think they told me when I was deployed. “

“ Zan. And you are Talon Gim. Quite the reputation you’ve made for yourself lately. “ He said, eyeing the saber Talon had motioned to. That very saber had almost removed Zan’s head from his shoulders if not for a crack shot from Talon.

Zan Continued. “ What brings you to Nar Shadda? “ He asked, leaning back against the bar to keep an " eye " on those nearby.

"Just doing my job, is all." Talon shrugged, taking another pull from his ale and setting it down with a clink. His mind slid through recollections of the mission, the way the Jedi Master's head had snapped back from the shatter rifle round. The others had died easily after that.

"Finished my last mission. I'm in between taskings now, waiting for assignment." He glanced over at the Miralukan, raising an eyebrow. "Is that why you're here? Got another job for me already?”

Zan motioned with his head towards the woman he was speaking with previously. “ We are putting together a team. Off the grid. The Empire will not be sanctioning the missions. The pay will be much better.  “ Zan said, making sure to emphasize the plural. He had plans that did not involve his mission for Coruscant. They had given him permission to do as he pleased, and he planned to do just that.

"And you need a Force Hunter for this mission?" Talon didn't sound concerned, just curious.

Glancing over at the woman, he grunted and sipped his ale, taking a few bites of his steak. "Alright, I'm in. But I expect to be well paid, especially since this is beside my existing imperial contract.” Talon said as he finished a bite of his steak.

Zan nodded to himself. Things were going well so far. He did not normally play well with others, but this was what is was going to take to accomplish the task ahead. His attention was temporarily drawn to a man sitting in a booth, alone, drinking Grog. Something seemed different about him than the rest of those in the bar. He returned his attention to Talon.

“ Well compensated. Welcome to the team. “ Zan said. Going rogue meant he would no longer have the resources the Empire provided him, so he would need other means to earn credits. Best not to share that with Talon at the moment. He had his ways to get it if he truly needed it.

Talon just grunted, shrugging one armored shoulder slightly in acceptance. Turning his attention back to his food, he took another bite of his steak, chewing and swallowing before glancing over again at Zan.

"A bit of peace now, if you wouldn't mind? I'm sure you've got others to recruit.” Talon said.

Zan took the hint. He nodded and stepped away from the bar and returned to the table with Zendrah.

::Ikis Epecegu, Twi'lek Jedi Guardian Battlemaster::
::Main Bar Area, Samick's Luck Cantina::

Ikis strode into the Cantina as he had many times before.  Unlike some Jedi, he was not squeamish about coming to the smuggler's moon, so when there was Jedi or Republic business that was required here, he was sent.

The large, red-skinned(Lethan) Twi'lek entered wearing his standard muted bronze Jedi armor with brown robes over the top.  The robes were big enough to keep the armor mostly concealed, as well as the sabers on his hips, but it wasn't something he was concerned about.  Some would go with subtlety, he did not care about that right now though.  Ikis was a mountain of a Twi'lek, bigger than most of his species, and big by humanoid standards being just over two meters tall.  His face bore a couple light scars, as did his Lekku, though the tribal tattoos all the way down his Lekku attracted more attention than the scars.  By outward appearance he appeared to be in his early thirties, though he was actually pushing forty, but the power of his ability with the Force helped keep him a bit younger than a normal being.  Normally he exuded an air of authority about him, but right now he wasn't pushing that.

His gaze swept over the Cantina, eyeing some of the more notable occupants as he entered.  He could feel the presence of a few Sith, which was not worrying, but it was a little strange to see so many at one time.  The Miraluka he noticed was an odd case.  Aliens were ostracized within the Empire, and Miralukas were usually a race more associated with the Jedi.  Both things probably led to a rather rough time for that man during his training.  His attention also stopped briefly on the Mandalorian, a look of disgust briefly crossing his face.  The man bore a weapon and trophies that showed he liked to hunt Jedi.  He was not here for that though, so his attention moved on.  The last person his attention caught was a woman at the bar with raven-black hair.  He was sure she was familiar, but not sure from where.  His gaze lingered on her for a few moments before continuing to sweep around the room.

As he moved along and approached the bar, he met the gaze of any that looked him in the eyes, not in challenge, but in acknowledgement.  Some he gave a slight nod of greeting to.  Upon reaching the bar he took a seat at the end of it with his back towards the kitchen entrance.  Terrin, the Twi'lek slave that worked there had caught sight of him coming in and came by to get his order.  Ikis gave the fellow Twi'lek a silent greeting with his Lekku.

"Ji ilkerie Ikis?" The blue-skinned(Rutian) Twi'lek asked in Ryl.

"Rycrit lo'ak narsu Terrin." Ikis responded with a nod.

The Rutian left the Lethan with the food order and headed back to the kitchen. The bartender approached a few moments later, carrying a small pot of tea and an empty mug.  He poured the tea in the mug and then set the pot on a trivet on the bar next to the Jedi.  Ikis reached into a pouch on his belt and fished out a few credits, paying for the stew and the tea.  He lifted the mug and took a couple sips before gazing around the room once more, waiting for his stew to arrive.

:: Zendrah Tuul, Human Sith Marauder.
Main bar, Samick's Luck Cantina. ::

As she stood Zendrah noticed the Nautolan enter, but since the alien was not her target at the moment she paid him little mind. Zendrah finished her drink and donned the rebreather mask. Once it clicked into place the sound of the woman's breathing increased but also took on a deeper synthetic tone. She took one last look around the room before zeroing in on her target, a human male dressed in a high quality three piece black suit with a blood red shirt. Zendrah moved gracefully toward the man as she sat in a corner booth.

“Do you mind if I join you?” she asked. At that moment Zendrah saw The large, red-skinned Twi'lek enter. His manner of dress implied a Jedi, but Zendrah knew that may not be the case.

::Rauk Kartoo, Kasa Horansi, Bounty Hunter/Pilot::
::Side room booth, Samicks Cantina, Nar Shaddaa::

The Twi'Lek opposite grew increasingly agitated as the seconds ticked past and Rauk drummed his claws on the tabletop chipping the varnish. The Duros twice spoke into his comm but evidently got no response.

The big Horansi pondered the situation as he impatiently waited, were these guys just disorganized time wasters? Was this a set up? There were no shortage of enemies in Rauks line of work. The impression that he had got three hours earlier when Fetjup the Twi'Lek had approached him was that it was the Empire who needed a job done. A target on Belsavis, unlikely it would be a bounty there more likely an extraction or an execution.
But it seemed that it was going to come to nothing, Rauk shrugged his shoulders, grabbed his breath mask and stood up before the allotted time ran out.

"If you leave now my employer will be most displeased, she is coming here in person"The Duros announced.

Several people in the neighboring booths had turned to look at Rauk. Standing at somewhat over 2.5m high, armor clad, his tan fur, black stripes and scarred face gave him a startling appearance especially when suddenly emerging close by from a shadowy corner of the cantina.
"then your employer should have been here at the time she nominated.....three quarters of an hour ago" snarled Rauk as he turned to leave.

The Duros looked furious and the Twi'Lek had disappeared. Rauk flicked on the comm on his wrist. "Barl I'm on my way back to the ship" he said, a guttural response in Coynite came back as a reply. Rauks second in command would be waiting close by outside the cantina if these two tried following they would be in for a nasty supprise.

What a waste of time, Rauk thought to himself, there were a couple of juicy bounties coming up and he still had to find more crew, they were down to Barl, Tok the Verpine and himself and the droid. Pretty much minimum crew for a D5 Mantis, at least if you wanted someone on watch at all times.
As the Horansi walked back into the bar he saw a number of what looked like mercs, and even a Mandalorian among those drinking. He may be able to find crew here or possibly a job. It might also be worth hanging around for a moment just to keep an eye on the Duros and the Twi'lek wherever that latter had got to.
"Hang on Barl I'm just going to grab a drink, I don't suppose you want one?" Rauk said into his comm, "no" was the reply in accented basic. The Triple Eclipses second in command didn't drink much which was just as well as far as Rauk was concerned considering the size and temperament of the Coynite.

"Bartender a Utozz" he said on reaching the bar.

"We're all out I'm afraid" the bartender responded "got some Kuati Ale though, brewed with Toz grains".

"Whatever" said Rauk putting his credits on the bar as he turned to inspect the crowd and to make himself comfortable.

::Hunter Travis, Human Imperial Cipher Agent
Main bar, Samick’s Luck Cantina::

Hunter yawned slightly his hand running down his neatly trimmed beard, a few streaks of gray joining the grays that had began to form at his temples. The Cantina had filled up quickly with quite a menagerie of Jedi and Sith most not even bothering to even attempt concealing themselves.

Well if Sith were subtle, men like him won’t need to exist, Hunter thought to himself as he took a drink of his bourbon. He watched as a slim armored and armed Sith approach his booth. She had been talking with a Miraluka who oddly also appeared to be a Sith.

Smiling he nodded his head, “Of course have a seat, I’ve always thought it was unwise to deny an ally of the Empire a seat at my table. “ He reached for his drink before stopping, “I’m sorry, where are my manners would you like a drink?” Hunter said as he motioned to the bottle.

“It’s Alderaanian bourbon, not the best I’ve had but the best you’ll get in a place like this. What brings you Nar Shaddaa?” As he talked Hunter took out a pen like small cylinder from his breast pocket.

Sola crossed her leg and leaned back, somewhat nonchalantly, her fair skin must have been glistening under these lights, and her bright blue eyes had softened, she wanted to look pretty and gentle, not intimidating, she could tell that Terran was hesitant to work for a Sith, his thoughts confirmed it. She was trying to ease his worry, and it was working, at least a little.

“Security detail you say?” Terran leaned back pretending to think about the proposition. He already knew his answer though. “You see, the problem with a ‘simple security detail’ is that it is never as simple as the employer says.”

Terran knew she was trying to make him feel comfortable. The way she leaned back and did a bit of half smile. She was good, he’d give her that.

“Of course I’d be a fool to not at least ask how much it pays, and what I’m protecting. And then comes the fact that you don’t know my skill set, or whether or not I am even able to provide the security you’d be looking for.” It was his turn now. Sola giggled. "Yes, I suppose you're right, security details rarely turn out simple." She leaned her right elbow on the table, her palm underneath her chin. "As far as the details, it's a shipment of Imperial artifacts, headed from here to Drommund Kaas. The artifacts are useless trinkets to all but the Empire, however the Republic would love nothing more than to capture them, if only to keep them out of our hands." Sola was already reading his next questions as they formed in his head, so offered an answer. "Stealth is the name of the game here, that is why we aren't transporting them on an Imperial vessel, using Imperial personnel. That and there are far too many within the Empire who would love these artifacts, I'm one of only a small handful who even knows we have them." Sola's voice softened even more. "I'm authorized to pay you whatever you ask, spare no expense to get this done. And as to how I know you'd be good, I'm reading your thoughts." Sola leaned in a little closer, dropping her voice to a near whisper. "So, what is it you want?" She batted her her big blue eyes and awaited Terran's answer...

Hunter finished his drink and poured another, watching the Sith in front of him, if a blacklisted Sith is recruiting for the empire it must be a grim assignment, it was also an assignment that he had not been made aware of. Taking a sip of her drink, the Sith grimaced slightly. Bourban, even one from her homeworld, was never quite to her liking. "As to the nature of this task, my Miraluka associate has decided to keep most of the details to himself thus far, a wise precaution." Zendrah lowered her voice to a whisper,  "Before I tell you what I know I need to be sure if you are okay with doing things off the grid, no help from the Empire whatsoever. If caught the Empire will disavow all of us. Are you amenable to this arrangement?"

Zendrah leaned back and finished her drink. She was having difficulty reading the man sitting before her and it troubled her. She reached out to probe his mind with the Force, but found many mental blocks on his mind, confirming her suspicions about him. If he really was Imperial Intelligence, Zendarah's opinions about him would undoubtedly dip even lower than the already were.

Off the grid is the life I’ve chosen to live.  As for the Empire disavowing it, wouldn’t a good servant of the Empire gladly die rather than expose it to risk?”

Hunter lowered his head and ran his tongue along his lower lift trying hard not to laugh. “We are all here for some reason or another, and most of the people in this room feel their cause is just. You though are interesting. You are recruiting for the Empire that has black listed you and are recruiting a force for dark work. That peaks my interest, and for no other reason, I’ll join your party.”

Zendrah chuckled, "Being blacklisted had more to do with 'guilt by association' rather than anything else. My former Master was quite outspoken about his displeasure with the leadership of the Empire. I was approached by a member of the Dark Council whom had promised that if I silenced my Master I would no longer suffer this fate. I was lied to."

Terran listened as Sola gave her spiel. Interested was too vague a word, it was a good job. The Empire would pay him whatever he asked, he would have complete control over all security which would allow him to do it right. Not very many other people in the galaxy knew about the shipment or what was in it. All in all, it would be an relatively easy task.

Then Sola made a mistake. As soon as she said she was reading his thoughts, Terran mentally tensed, and started repeating a series of unrelated words to block out any thoughts. Blue, empire, blaster, planet, helmet, star, blue, empire, blaster,. . .

He had the training, but he never thought to put it into use. Terran hated mind-readers. At least he now knew what was nagging at his mind earlier. Planet, helmet, star,. . .

He could see the shock as Sola could no longer read his mind. Now that they were on a more level playing field, he decided to keep the conversation going. Blue, empire, blaster, planet,. . .

“A mind reader ehh?” he said out loud. “Never did care much for your kind. Too nosy, never knowing when it is okay to look inside someone’s head and when not too.” Helmet, star, blue,. . .

“The job’s a good one to be sure, but you will have to give me a bit of time to think on it.” he said. Empire, blaster planet, helmet,. . . “Would I be allowed to assemble my own crew or are you recruiting them all yourself?” Star, blue, empire, blaster,. . .

Helmet, star, blue,. . . Terran was repeating random words in his head to impede Sola's telepathy. Good, this guy was the real deal, he'd be perfect for this. Sola crossed her arms across her chest.

"Well luckily, I don't really care how you feel about my 'kind,' you're not required to like us. This is a business relationship, nothing more. As for the crew, we'll need a ship and pilot, which I will find, however you may pick your security team."

Sola stood up from her seat and bowed toward Terran. "I will be over at the back of the bar. Take whatever time you need." Sola left quickly, sat at her booth, signaled the waiter droid over, and ordered another drink and a Nerf burger.

::Ky’Liir Terek, Half Human Freelancer/ Mercenary::
::Samick’s Cantina, Nar Shaddaa::

A tall [200cm] woman walked into the cantina, blinking slightly at the neon lights that greeted her. The woman had a lithe but powerfully muscular physique, though it was hidden under her clothing. She had narrow slanted eyes [Asian in appearance] that were a brilliant emerald green, tan coloured skin and mid-back length raven black hair that was tightly braided back with multiple braids running from the front of her head to back and combining to form one braid down the back. A thin metal band ran across the left half of her forehead and disappeared under her hair, projecting a heads up display over her left eye when she called it up. The woman was a beauty, looking to be around 30, and would have turned heads if she didn't play it down, only a few fine scars on her jaw and neck marring her looks. Her people took pride in their beauty and she held some of that pride in it, but in her line of work it was best not to make a deal of it. She walked in with a natural confident ease and inhuman grace, unfazed by the type she knew would be in here amongst the party goers. She'd had a few uninformed people guess that she must have been Force Sensitive from the way she moved and acted, but she knew that she wasn't. Her inhuman strength, speed and agility came not from the Force but from the fact she was not entirely human, though at first glances she appeared to be one thanks to her human blood. Her people were fairly rare outside of their home system in the Unknown Regions and she'd found it'd worked better for her if others thought she was human. Anyone who got to know her, or knew a thing or two about near human species and studied her for a while, wouldn’t be likely to make that assumption however.

She nodded to the Niktos at the entrance as she approached and they gave a curt head nod back, she had worked for the Hutts several times before. “Khel” she acknowledged the one on the left, her deep, accented voice betraying her Corellian heritage. “He here yet?” She had to speak louder than she would have liked to be heard over the music playing.

The Nikto shook his head ”Nah, but he should be later.”

She paused before she entered the room proper, taking in the sights. The usual crowd starting to build, some here to party but others…. Others were here for other purposes. Some roguish in nature, a Mandalorian over the far side and some Sith if she wasn’t mistaken. She grinned at that. It didn’t matter how strong any of the Sith were at reading minds, they would have no chance reading hers or in trying to influence her thoughts. She had a powerful ability to mentally shield herself against the Force, an ability she had inherited from her near human mother. “Interesting crowd tonight” she commented.

“Aye, and no causing trouble” Khel warned. The woman flashed a grin at the Nikto, side stepping away from him into the room. “Since when have I ever caused trouble?” she replied, turning mid step to continue walking forwards towards the bar still with that same grace.

Her coat was long and dark brown, with black reinforced shoulder pads and leather straps that criss crossed over at the back. Below that was visible a black armoured vest and tan coloured armoured pants, with knee high armoured boots and long vibroknives in shealths strapped to each. Her hands wore fingerless black gloves with reinforcement on the back of the hand and knuckles. As she walked two heavy blasters strapped to her thighs and attached to a well equipped dark brown blaster belt were visible under her long jacket, and she made no effort to hide them. She had left her heavier weaponry aboard her ship, she knew there was no need for it here.

She approached the bar, choosing to leave the two talking beings to themselves and stopping towards the end of the bar next to the tall lethan Twi’lek. He looked to be of similar height to her but his bulk made him look far bigger than the muscular but toned woman. As she slid onto one of the bar stools the bartender came over to take her order. “Corellian whiskey thanks, make it a double.” The Corellian whiskey here was unfortunately a knock off brand rather than the real thing, but it was better than some places she had been to on the smuggler’s moon. As she sipped the delivered drink she happened to notice that the cloaked and obviously armoured Twi’lek next to her was drinking tea, not alcohol, and she lifted one eyebrow at it.

Hunter scanned the ever crowding cantina, a rather tall and armored woman entered and order what appeared to be a whiskey, but it was tough to tell at this distance.

“You ever been to Taris?”

::Rauk Kartoo, Kasa Horansi, Bounty Hunter Pilot::
::Main Bar, Samicks Luck Cantina, Nar Shaddaa::

Rauk lounged with his back to the bar with the kind of refined laziness only a Felinoid species could manage. He took in the sights and scents of the bars patrons as he slowly drank his Kauti Ale. Most of the beings present seemed intent on eating, drinking or simply having a good time but here and there in the booths and at the bar business was being done also.

In the 12 years since Rauk had left Mutanda he had tried his hand at many things, spice smuggler, gun runner, pirate, mercenary and finally bounty hunter. He had gained experience at the tail end of the war and had used that experience to gain wealth in what passed as peacetime. Looking around the bar he could see what he took to be a few mercenaries, and smugglers, one, a tall human female walked passed and took a place at the bar near a big Twi’Lek. There was the Empire here also and the Republic to, ironically policed by the Hutts guards no less to stop them fighting.

What Rauk wanted however was likely crew for the Triple Eclipse, spacers who could run a starships systems but also be handy in a fight, the Horansi was beginning to think he would be better off looking in the bars closer to the spaceport. The other thing though would be a short job, no more than a couple of weeks, with good pay something to keep himself and his crew occupied until the end of the month when it was tipped that there were going to be some big bounties come up. Deals were being done here but there were few beings in tonight that the Horansi recognised and those he did recognise were of no great importance.

Getting close to the bottom of his glass he decided not to get another drink. Rauk began scanning through the list of recent bounties on his wrist comm, but they were all small time jobs of the type he had given up years ago. With a final look round the room he finished his drink and stood up to leave.

:: Sola Navin, Human Sith Sorceress.
Main bar, Samick's Luck Cantina. ::

Sola's mouth began to water as the droid brought her order over and set it on her table. The cantina was beginning to fill up now. As soon as the droid left, she was about to dig in, when suddenly she felt a bit woozy, and it felt like she was listening to 20 comm stations all at once...Not again, I hate large crowds. And what's in this drink anyway? Have I had that many? She heard every thought of the cantina patrons, bar a few of the powerful force users.... not that she could differentiate who said what, or even what the what was.

Sola closed her eyes and shook her head, then rubbed her temples gently. She concentrated with everything she had to throw up a mental block and get it to shut off. She relaxed, and concentrated on a waiter droid nearby. Droids were unreadable, being non-organics, but SOla needed a non-living object to concentrate on..... it's bringing a drink, looks like whiskey of some kind to a customer, now it's headed back to the kitchen.... Sola had succeeded, she didn't hear anybody, the wall was up.

"I really hate this power sometimes... why couldn't I have been good at something else?" She muttered to herself. Sola was EXTREMELY intelligent, in fact her mind was her best asset, she was smarter and more cunning than any other Sith, and indeed most other beings she'd met. Which was good, because she wasn't incredibly strong, fast, or agile and was fairly average at saber combat. She'd struggled to eventually graduate to full Sith, as she had to concentrate on her telepathy, and learn to block out other's thoughts in order to concentrate on anything else. Sola was gifted in most other psychic abilities too, which means most of her missions were intelligence based. Of course they always had her interrogate difficult prisoners, most of them stood little chance of hiding anything from her.

The cantina was really filling up, and now it was getting harder to keep her wall up. She'd have almost no chance of reading anyone specific and isolating their thoughts, not with this many around.... Sola let the block slowly slip as she put her head down on her table, she was mostly used to the "voices" in her head, which were snippets of thoughts, but that feeling was probably from the drinks. Being inebriated and telepathy don't mix, in fact that's one of the few times she really looses all control over her powers and they start to get to her.

Sola wasn't really hungry anymore, so she just sat there at her table, listening to see if she at least heard anything interesting, and waiting for a smuggler she could recruit...

:: Ky’Liir Terek, Half Human Freelancer/ Mercenary ::
:: Samick’s Luck Cantina, Nar Shaddaa::

Ky’Liir had another sip of her drink as she took her attention from the bulky tea drinking Twi’lek to scan around the bar, looking for anyone interesting. She was looking for crew again, her last crew member had decided to take his leave shortly after making port. She didn’t yet know the details of the job she had come for today, but she knew she would need extra beings.

Her eyes paused on a human with dark hair wearing a blue jacket at a table opposite the dance floor. When she walked in he’d had a bright-haired young woman at the table with him, but she had moved off. She couldn’t be sure but he looked vaguely familiar to her…. After a few more moments thinking about it she mentally shrugged it off. He had the look of a mercenary about him and looked like he might be the kind of person she would hire but the exchange with the young woman looked like business, so perhaps he already had a job, or he wasn’t looking for one. She continued looking around.

Ky'Liir continued her gaze past the Mandalorian, she would work with them if necessary but they had their own rules, their own warrior honour which didn’t always agree with her way of doing things. There was a Nautolan who looked a bit like he might be a spacer, but he didn’t look like a mercenary. He didn’t seem like he could do what she needed crew for, but she could be wrong. Some mercenaries liked to play things very low key when in port. She purposely didn’t linger on those she identified or suspected to be Sith, they weren’t who she was looking for and she didn’t want trouble with them or those they were actively engaging.

The mercenary leant backwards a little on her stool and stretched her neck with an audible crack. As she did so another caught her eye, a Horansi lounged against the bar. The striped Felinoid was more the type she was after. By the looks he would tower over her, he was armor-clad, scarred and didn’t look like he would back down from a fight. He was looking at his wrist, possibly a wrist datapad. Ky’Lirr picked up her glass and slid off her stool, casually walking towards him. He stood up as she approached, but she didn’t think her presence was the reason for his changed position. They made eye contact, the woman almost having to crane her neck as she stepped a bit closer. She was unfazed by his imposing appearance and leant against the bar next to him with her usual casual grace.

“You don’t look like you are here just for the drinks” she said to him before taking a sip of her whiskey, her eyes staying on his face to read the Horansi’s reaction.

Rauk was just getting ready to leave when he heard a voice alongside of him. It was the Human female he had seen just enter the bar, she was tall for her species with braided black hair. She casually leaned against the bar sipping her drink.

“You don’t look like you’re here just for the drinks” she said.

When Rauk had left Mutanda years before as a raw teenager, one of the many things that had struck him was the different attitudes that other species had towards different genders. Amongst the Kasa Horansi Females and Males were completely equal but amongst other species and races this was not often the case. It was a situation that threw up lots of complicated social dynamics that Rauk would never have imagined on his home world. He had learnt that a Human female that was considered attractive could well be trying to scam credits in a situation such as this, but a glance at this female showed that this was most likely not the case. She wore her armour and weapons with a casual ease that suggested that she was very comfortable using them. After a split seconds thought Rauk decided to answer in the same way as he would to a female Horansi of his own caste.

“No I think if it was just the drinks I was after I would try somewhere else” he said in his deep growling voice looking at his glass on the bar.

“In truth I’m here on a fools errand, a job offer that didn’t work out and I was just considering leaving. What about you? What brings you here?” he added.

Empire, blaster, planet,. . . Terran kept repeating the words as Sola talked. He wouldn’t be allowed to select the pilot, but the security team would be pretty good. Still, he wasn’t sure why, but something just felt off about this job. Maybe he was just paranoid. Or maybe it was too perfect. Sola was a mind reader. She had singled him out of the ever growing crowd for some reason. Sure, maybe it was as she said, because he was in need of the credits. He couldn’t tell. Normally he could get a read on people’s intentions. Not Sola. Whatever it was, the nagging hadn’t left. He had assumed it was because she had been prying into his mind, but he was beginning to think less and less that that was the case.

Just then a tall woman with long black hair and striking green eyes walked in. She was - to put it bluntly - stunning. Terran never forgot a face, and he instantly recognized this one. He couldn’t remember her name however, just that it started with an ‘K’ and was odd. To the untrained eye she would easily appear human, but Terran had an interest in this sort of thing. While she definitely had human blood in her, she was definitely not human.

“I will be over at the back of the bar.” Sola said, drawing his attention back. “Take whatever time you need.” She said then got up and walked away.

Kirl? Kriil? Kirilli? Terran couldn’t remember. Even though Sola was gone, Terran kept repeating the words. He needed to get in the habit of doing it constantly. No, I don’t think it’s a good idea. Terran thought. Helmet, star, blue, empire,. . .

After a few moments, Terran rose and walked to where Sola was sitting. “I’m going to have to decline your offer, generous though it be.” He said, then walked away.

Terran stopped at the bar and ordered another drink. He looked over to where the tall woman had seated herself and tried to remember her name. Killir? Kyller? He couldn’t remember. It would annoy him until he did.

Ky'Liir gave the Felinoid a smile. Not the kind that one might give to try and win over another, but as one would give a comrade. Good, he treated her as an equal and not misjudging her either for being female or for being human.

“Similar to you actually, ‘cept I'm early and hopefully this isn't a fool’s errand. The Hutts don't normally stuff me around" she commented, proffering a small bit of information to see his reaction to working for the Hutts. It would seem weird to her if he didn’t like it considering where he was and what he had said, but others often used this cantina as a place for offering jobs. She glanced at the drink in her hand.

“It's true these drinks aren't the greatest, but they are cheaper than some places and I don’t normally come for the drinks either.” She lowered her voice slightly, but so he could still hear her. “If you want a good drink, there’s a small bar a couple of levels down from here and a block over. Tiny little out of the way place, none of the big flashy lights out the front like this. They tend to serve to a more… select clientele.” She brushed her jacket aside slightly but obviously, one of her blasters becoming visible before the material swayed around her knees again. Her hands were purposely kept well clear of her weapons so as not to alarm this Horansi. “They don’t allow these things in there though, and it’s a lot quieter there. Good for a drink and a meal, not so good for doing business. I might be able to show you later.”

She took another sip of her drink. “You said your job offer didn’t work out. I might have something coming up, if you are interested.”

As the mercenary had been talking, she kept a general eye and ear on the going ons around her. The blue jacketed human had moved to the bar and was looking at her. Again she was struck by the fact he looked familiar. Why? Had she worked with him as a mercenary? No… it felt longer than that. Her CorSec days? Could she have arrested him? Worked with him? She pondered on this in the back of her mind while attending to matters at hand, and watching the Horansi to see what his response would be.

Sola was sitting at her table playing around with her holonet pad, when she felt Terran's approach and looked up. “I’m going to have to decline your offer, generous though it be.” The mercenary said, and walked away before Sola could say anything.

Oh well that's great Sola thought. Now what, none of these other patrons look like what I'm looking for, way too hardcore for my liking. Yes, Sola was a Sith, but she still got a bad feeling and didn't like being around shady characters, and she DEFINITELY didn't like hardcore dangerous types, including most of her fellow Sith. Part of that was her abilities in combat not being the greatest. Could she take them if necessary? Yes she could. Would it be easy? Not really. Nor would it be a guarantee, she'd had trouble dispatching a few bounty hunters and exceptionally good mercenaries in the past, and many fellow Sith could beat her easily. Probably in their sleep with one hand tied behind their back.

Sola didn't like fighting and killing, her talents lie elsewhere.

Now, she wondered, what to do, what to do about this mission...

Rauk regarded the Human with some interest; it seemed she was working for the Hutts.

“Yes I have picked up several bounties for Hutts over the last 18 months” Rauk began, rewarding the females information with some of his own “they are…. consistent in their terms of employment and quite generous if you stay on the right side of them”. He added.

The Human looked at the Horansi bounty hunter quizzically and continued to sip her drink.

“That’s not the only work I do though” Rauk continued “there are a lot of uses for….. particular skillsets and I always think it wrong to let opportunities slip by, I suspect you may be of a similar opinion? Anyway the name is Rauk Kartoo and I’d be interested to hear about this opportunity you mentioned. We might even go and investigate that bar later”.

Perhaps things were looking up, thought Rauk, although in the back of his mind he remembered it was always wise to keep your wits about you on the smugglers moon. “What was in that?” she commented, motioning with her head towards the glass.

Kuati ale” Rauk replied, lifting an eyebrow slightly, as one of the bartenders came over to take the empty glass away.

“Vakim, get my friend here a Netassa ale, stick it on my tab” she said to the bartender recognising him and calling him by name. The human behind the counter gave her a grin as she flicked him a few credits, enough to cover that and a few more drinks as well as the whiskey she was still nursing.

Here you go Terek” he responded as he put the filled glass on the bar.

“This stuff is brewed from a mix of Elba and Toz grains grown on Salliche, tastes better in my opinion than the kuati ale they’ve got here. I tend to prefer my spirits however” she said to the Horansi as she held up her glass and took another sip. She spied a table being vacated not far from the bar and motioned towards it with her free hand. “Shall we? I prefer not to discuss business at the bar.”

Rauk nodded and took the drink she had bought him. Ky’Liir noticed that the blue jacketed human was still sitting at the bar, made eye contact with him and gave him a small nod in recognition before leaving it. As Ky’Liir walked towards the table she noticed a small group of humans who seemed to also be making their way towards it, and lengthened her stride to reach it first and place her glass down. The burly looking human male at the lead of the group was obviously drunk and not particularly bright. Before she could sit down he grabbed her upper arm, not hard but enough to get her attention and her head whipped around.

Oi, we was gonna sit there, wasn’t we lads?” he commented with what he obviously thought was an intimidating tone. Her eyes flicked from him to his five companions, a mix of human and alien wearing expensive looking clothing who were making noises in agreement and puffing themselves up to look more important, then to the Koransi who had followed a step slower. People like his little group bothered her, they would throw words around but had no ability as a warrior to back it up. She put her hand over his, prying it off her arm and squeezing it hard enough that it would start hurting him. As she did so she turned to face him properly, so that he and his friends could see she was armoured and armed. The man tried to pull his arm back as he realised through his drunken haze she was hurting him but she held him with ease.

“Well you and your lads aren’t now. Go find someone else to bother, or I will start breaking the bones in your fingers one by one” she said in a low threatening tone, towering over him. The man cringed as she squeezed his hand harder.

They dun like violence here, they’ll throw you out for sayin’ that! Do you know who I am?!” The human’s voice ended in a squeak as she pulled him a little closer, his eyes flicking over to the Nikto guarding the door.

“I don’t kriffing care. I’m on first name basis with the Hutt that owns this joint, so don’t think they will help you” she growled at him only just loud enough that those immediately around her would hear. “Now scram. Go spend your creds on losing at pazaak or something.” As she let go of his hand she partly threw it, the drunken human stumbling away. Between the sight of the female mercenary and the large armoured Felinoid behind her the group thought better of it and took off to the other side of the bar. Ky’Liir sighed and sat down in one of the chairs, lifting her feet to rest her boots on another chair as she casually leant back with her whiskey in one hand. The side of her jacket fell aside clearly exposing the heavy blaster strapped to her thigh.

“Drunken idiots” she commented to Rauk.

:: Hunter Travis, Human Imperial Cipher Agent
Back booth, Main bar, Samick’s Luck Cantina::

“I spent the worst two years of my life on Taris.” Hunter said as he leaned back into the padding of the booth his eyes scanning the room. “That place was a prison without bars, of course I didn’t help that situation any.”

“Our job isn’t taking us to Taris is it?” Hunter said his voice dropping a bit. He rolled his neck slowly listening to the slight pops that seemed to get a little louder each year. There were so many unique creatures in this room so much life, quite the opposite of his time on Taris.

::Zendrah Tuul, Human Sith Marauder
Back booth, Main bar, Samick’s Luck Cantina::

Two years? Zendrah thought, Obvisously somebody must hate him. Zendrah drank the remainder of the bourbon in her glass.

“I've been there twice before, first to kill an Imperial scientist who'd defected, second was to kill my master.” Zendrah said as the altercation between the tall woman and some drunken patrons caught her attention. She grinned slightly as the drunks were sounded defeated, but quickly frowned as the men did not escalate the situation or offer an apology to the lady. Zendrah watched them until one took a drink, as the man began to swallow Zendrah reached out with the Force, applying just enough pressure on the man's throat causing him to choke on his drink. As the man coughed and gasped for air Zendrah laughed. As the drunken fools saw to their friend Zendrah returned her attention to Hunter.

“I've no idea where this mission will take us. Zan may know more.” Zendrah said as she looked in Zan's direction. Catching his eye she motioned for him to join them.

Zan caught Zendrah’s subtle motion to join her and the human male she was sitting with. He stood and made his way towards the pair. Passing by a woman speaking with a Horansi. “ Kasa Horansi “ he thought to himself. As he approached the two in the back booth, he grabbed a chair and pulled it up to the table. Sitting between them. He gave Zendrah a slight nod before turning his attention to the human.

“ Zan. And you are?  “ He asked.

Motioning to the bottle on the table Hunter continued, “Help yourself to a drink. Zendrah here has been telling me a small amount about a job you may have lined up on behalf of the Empire and I have to say my interest has been piqued.”

Hunter looked around the room again as there was some kind of verbal altercation, “The Cantina is unusually loud tonight, but perhaps that is for the best.”

Sola was still playing around with her pad, she had this ridiculous game where you had to match color patterns, with them getting faster and more complex as you go. It was nice, because it required a good amount of concentration, enough that you could get lost in it and not be hardly aware of what was happening around you, or in Sola's case not have to worry about hearing thoughts of the busy cantina patrons.

I think it's time to go, Sola thought, maybe I should call a taxi. She turned off the game and looked for a hotel room and a taxi, hopeful that nobody would approach her and she could leave in peace....

::Rauk Kartoo, Kasa Horansi, Bounty Hunter Pilot::
::Main Bar, Samicks Luck Cantina, Nar Shaddaa::

Rauk accepted the drink from Ky’ Liir and began to follow her to a vacant table, but he had barely taken two steps when he nearly tripped over an Ugnaught. The Horansi bounty hunter glared at the diminutive alien who scampered out of his way but by the time Rauk had caught up with Ky’ Liir she was in some sort of altercation.

A drunken human had grabbed her by the arm while his five companions looked on. Rauk looked at the Nikto bar security and considered grabbing the human and hurling him at his companions but it was not needed, Ky ’Liir dragged the man close and words were exchanged although Rauk could not make out what they were. The man’s friends were shocked but Rauk took a step towards them and all but one hastily backed away. Rauk faced the Gran who remained, sizing him up, the three eyed alien scowled at Rauk before stepping away also. Rauk kept watching him they were always trouble these black wearing Gran.

By this time, Ky’ Liir had sent the drunken man on his way, Rauk sat down at the booth, retracting his claws as he did so. Just then he noticed something odd. As the drunken Human and his friends moved away one of the other humans in the group broke into an odd coughing fit. This would have been no big deal but the big Twi’Lek sitting at the bar looked around sharply at the choking man and then looked towards a table where a male and female Human sat in a back booth, Empire or Sith by the look of the clothes they wore. The Twi’Lek had an odd expression at first Rauk thought it was anger but on second thoughts extreme determination would better describe it. A Miraluka walked past to join the two Humans at the back booth.

“Oafs” said Rauk to Ky’ Liir nodding to the drunken group who were heading in the direction of an unhappy looking Human Female who was sitting alone and doing something with here data pad. Ky’ Liir said nothing of the altercation she evidently followed the same philosophy as Rauks second in command “there is little honour in punishing fools” was one of the Coynites mantras.

“So now we have our table, what is it I may be able to help you with” asked Rauk.

Hunter smiled and looked at Zan, he resisted the urge to look towards the bar to examine the Mandalorian. “It’s good to know that you have found others to join us.”

Hunter took a long sip of his drink, and waited a moment for the liquid to slowly alight his throat with its slow burn. “My speciality is discretion and secrets, I trade in them and keep them, I know a lot of people in a lot of places and I know things about them that they don’t want anyone to know.”

Putting his glass down Hunter smiled, “I’m also very good at getting into places that people believe are secure . . . and well . . .  blowing things up.”

The mercenary woman almost absent mindedly adjusted the leg strap on one holster so it sat more comfortably as she replied to Rauk, with a laid back carefree posture. “I'll admit, I haven't got full details on the job yet, I'm meeting my contact tonight for just that reason. What I have already been told is that they would like to hire me to ‘hunt down something' for them. I wasn't given the specifics, but I was led to believe that I would be required to find a person or persons and recover some property of value. I was also told I would need a crew to do so, so I'm guessing this person is fairly dangerous and beyond my scope alone, and the property is very valuable. Apparently they will likely be in quite a dangerous area, though my contact declined to give away the details of the planet or area. Not unusual, they prefer such information doesn't get heard or seen by the wrong people.”

Ky'Liir scratched at an itch on her chin then took another sip of her drink. “I came early to scout the place out for potential crew to do the job. I am also in need of new crewmates aboard my ship, my last took his leave after we came in last night. Apparently he wasn't interested in doing more dangerous work.”

Main Bar, Samick's Luck Cantina::

As Aletani finished the last bite of her dinner, the Rutian cook slave quickly stepped over with a small smile and bob of his head to take the dishes. The Sith woman flicked her hand in a human's equivalent of a gesture the Twi'leks might use their dynamic silent head tail Lekku language for. "Birnan."

Terrin could tell the old friend he had when they were young was still some small part of the intimidating warrior before him now. Keeping his happiness reserved out of respect for her and the general decorum expected of slaves addressing Sith, he spoke quietly in Ryl, some of the inflections made with his lekku, Rackus ar kalyan a jorhisanm muchi.

The scarred Sith, lowered her gaze quickly after the Rutian spoke, tilting her head just slightly in acknowledgment of his words. The Rutian met the Lethan's gaze, realizing their interaction may well have been eavesdropped by the fellow Twi'lek - an obviously armored Jedi no less. While Terrin knew Ikis to be fair and reasonable, the two separated by a single stool were still opposite sides of the chit - by choice or not. Blanching slightly as he didn't want to raise suspicions about Aletani or her Sith loyalty, Terrin scurried off to disappear back into the kitchen.

Lost in thought, her body language and expression neutral, if uncharacteristically relaxed for a Sith, Aletani took another sip of her Whiskey. Her gaze absently roaming the bar top and the wide variety of beings Vakim was serving this evening.

Yrroc strolled into the bar, eyeing the place as he did so. A cocky smirk surrounded by a short cut black beard could be seen on his face. He tilted up the wide brim of his hat and focused his blue/green eye on a seat in the corner.

He was a well built and well dressed man, and could almost pass for nobility if not for the long scar and eye patch snugly affixed to where his right eye should have been. As he walked he dusted off his long navy blue overcoat as well as his navy pants. As he reached the booth, he finished brushing off his azure, silk vest.

“Bourbon. The good stuff. Pretty please” Yrroc said to the waiter droid as he sat down. The smirk dropped from his face as he unsnapped the retention on one of his holsters under the table.

He’d noticed both Jedi and Sith, as well as competition in the cantina.

Nothing to do now but wait.. He thought to himself as the droid returned with his drink. He slowly sipped it as he waited for his contact.

“Well it seems we are here for very similar reasons” the Horansi said with a laugh.

“I have my own ship and very similar crewing issues" he said "A D-5 Mantis, she’s over in a docking bay near Mezenti as we speak, could be off the planet within the hour if need be.” He paused for a moment considering his next move in what could be a potentially lucrative arrangement.

“Now I don’t know if your job is big enough to warrant two ships, if it is then I’m definitely interested, but if not things needn’t end there. We have some work coming up here at the end of the month so if we can be back here by then, either me or my second in command could come along with you, the other one can stay here to look after the ship and recruit some new crew. Rauk looked at the Human half expecting to see disappointment on her face but that didn’t seem to be the case.

::Ikis Epecegu, Twi'lek Jedi Guardian Battlemaster::
::Main Bar Area, Samick's Luck Cantina::

Ikis had sat sipping his tea for a bit while he waited on the stew.  While he waited another woman came in and sat at the bar for a little bit. He could tell almost right away that she wasn't human, at least not completely.  Her size and build were just a bit off, and the more telling sign was once she was at the bar long enough her smell was that of one that was not totally human.  Ikis wasn't sure what she was mixed with, but it didn't concern him greatly.  She did seem to be observing him drinking his tea, probably wondering why he wasn't consuming alcohol. Before anything could be said she moved on from the bar and he shrugged.

Moments later Terrin came out with his Rycrit stew and served him a bowl of the homeworld dish.  Ikis nodded his thanks and slipped another credit chip to the Rutian slave as an extra tip.  The Twi'lek gave a thankful gesture with his Lekku and then hurried back to his work.  Ikis poured himself another cup of tea and then began to enjoy his meal.

As the meal was finished Terrin came out to collect some dishes, first going to the raven-haired woman Ikis had noticed and still could not place. He had deduced while sitting there eating his meal that she was almost certainly Sith, which made for an even more odd feeling on why he felt he knew her.  There was a brief exchange between the two and then Terrin suddenly looked over at Ikis, realizing his fellow Twi'lek might be hearing everything that was said. The Rutian then quickly finished collecting her dishes and scurried by and took Ikis' before going back to the kitchen.

On his way by Ikis silently signaled to Terrin, "Worry not," and the Rutian nodded and kept moving.

With their dishes collected, the woman seemed to turn her attention to the room, gazing around and just observing.  Ikis proceeded to pour himself another cup of tea, getting close to the end of the pot.  He sipped it quietly for a few moments before finally speaking up in the direction of the raven-haired Sith.

"Cei Kek, qaon jorhi fic dan ktan Terrin?" he asked casually and quietly.

"Cei Kek, qaon jorhi fic dan ktan Terrin?"

Aletani didn't react to the question, setting down her tumbler, her gaze remained on an odd trinket tacked to the back wall of the bar in front of her. Her biomechanical fingers made faint *tings* on the glass as tapped lightly against it. The Lethan Jedi seemed quite used to the melting pot of Nar Shaddaa, casual enough to strike up intimate conversation with a Sith even.

Shrugging slightly, she replied, "Gihneja?"

Tipping the tumbler a couple degrees and dragging it's bottom edge on the bar in a slow, circular motion, her voice became distant, "Kih jenis sihse, kih kn'ic boh. Cea ohk a bunyeya arsian."

With another small sip of the amber liquid, the scarred woman's eyes turned to look over the red, tattooed Twi'lek. Crossing her legs, the motion swung her just a little more facing the Jedi and her tone was a bit more of a normal conversation level as she asked in basic, "And just how many Lethan are there with such bold tattoos in your order, Juno'hervoe?"

“ We will also need to find an expert slicer. “ He said, glancing over at Zendrah “ And one or two more fellow Sith Warriors. Perhaps you could help with the latter? Most of our brethren only tolerate my presence due to my rank. “ He said, referring to his Miralukan background.

Hunter examined the Miraluka in front of him not quite sure of his intentions or the real reason behind this mission but he was here to gather intelligence and this lead seemed to be as good as any. “I can see what is in the area ship wise, and I’ve found my way into quite a few different computer systems.”

“I don’t know if I’d go as far as calling myself an expert, but if I can’t do the job I should be able to track down someone who can.” Hunter took finished the drink in his glass and smiled. “I don’t really have any line on any Sith that are available for hire, but I’m not a bad salesman if you have a line on someone who needs convincing.”

::Main Bar Area, Samick's Luck Cantina::

Ikis raised an eyeridge and nodded slowly, not actually looking at the woman.  That was certainly a long time to have known the other Twi'lek.  Then she followed up with another comment, which added some clarity to the length at which they'd known each other.  He sipped his tea and pondered over all that for a moment.  Something was nagging in his head, but he could not recall right at this moment.  He would speak to Terrin later and get a couple details as he did not want to seem to this Sith like he was trying to pry into her background.

She turned to face him a bit more directly and raised her tone as she switched to basic and asked him a question.  His gaze looked to her for a moment and then he pondered over what she was asking.  He wasn't a hundred percent sure, but he knew the answer was likely only a handful or less.

His response was slow and thoughtful, "Well, I don't know everyone, but that number would likely be quite small.  Plenty of my species are members, though ones of my coloring would be very minimal, and tattooed ones even less. I could be the only one."  It was an interesting thought that he was a unique case within the Order, even with all their members.

“You are perhaps the most infuriating being I've ever met. Can't say a blame your date. Now if you really are willing to listen, you may get some enjoyment out of this job offer.” Zendrah said pausing for a moment, then lowering her voice, “My associate has been given a rather interesting assignment that you'd possibly enjoy. First, tell me, what do you think of the Treaty of Coruscant?”

Flashing an odd look towards the Lethan she replied, "I didn't cause an existential crisis, did I, Juno'hervoe?"

The Sith woman tapped the rim of her whiskey tumbler as she looked down the bar to meet the keep's eye, "Vakim - top me off."

Zendrah pointed a finger in Zan's direction, "If not, then I will take my leave."

Zendrah stood, plucking the rebreather from the table and securing it to her belt. Taking a look around the room she noted the other woman still had not moved from her spot and still seemed to be talking with the Lethan Twilek. She spotted another individual further toward the back of the room. He appeared to have at least a cybernetic eye, but Zendrah could not be sure if the mask was part of her implants or not. She was positive he was a Sith. Next, she  spotted a bearded man with a wide brimmed hat and long blue coat sitting in a corner booth. Deciding not to push her luck with the other Sith she moved toward the bearded man's table.

"Excuse me," she asked once she reached the table, "May I have a moment of you time?"

Hunter smiled as he watched Zan leave, what an odd paring those two made, well there seemed to be four of them now, but for what greater purpose he did not know. He felt the urge to poke the bee hive. He poured himself another drink and made his way over to the human Zendrah had been talking to, Sola if his memory of the intelligence files was correct. He filled his head and overlying thoughts with images of animals riding tricycles set to bad music.

He cleared his throat as he approached, “Sola Navin, if my memory serves me correctly, I hope you don’t mind if I take a seat,” he said as he sat down and slid a card over to Sola. To most the card would just be a black card with an embossed symbol on it, but Hunter thought Sola would know it as the mark of Imperial Intelligence.

“Our newfound friend with the rebreather and her partner just recruited me to join some covert mission.” Hunter motioned to the nearly empty bottle inviting Sola to partake if she wished. “They say it’s on the directive of the Empire, but I am unaware of such a mission, but then again I am not informed of everything.”

Hunter laughed softly as he ran his tongue along the inside of his mouth and then took a drink, “It would be most helpful if someone of your abilities were to join this crew, then together we may be able to see if these two are what they claim, and that this mission serves the true goals of the empire.”

It's not an officially sanctioned Imperial assignment, but the pay will be better. The Empire won't be taking a cut. Full disclosure, I don't have all the details of the assignment. He stroked his beard as he thought for a moment. Looking the woman up and down once more, Yrroc continued.

“One rule.. No children. No.. you wouldn’t be the first person to ask.. Aside from that, if you can afford the rate, I don’t care why your group of space wizards wants the other one dead. It’s not my business. All I care about is the coin. I have expensive taste, after all.”

When she opened the case it contained six large nearly flawless diamonds.

"My pockets are deep enough." she said closing the case, "These are yours if you join. They are valued at almost sixteen thousand. My master liked shiny and pretty things."

The waiter droid came by with their drink then, Zendrah payed then took a sip of hers.

"The job isn't going to be as simple as killing a few Jedi, given the Treaty and all, but as I said this won't be sanctioned by the Empire, so if caught we're on our own. Zan didn't give me anymore than that and he won't give anymore unless your in."

:: Zaliz Zan, Miraluka Sith Marauder
Behind Samick's Luck Cantina/Back room near the main bar ::

Zan took his leave from the Cantina, turning a corner and heading to the back of the building. A man was waiting, wearing a long black duster and a black wide brimmed hat. As Zan approached, the man looked up slightly.

" You know how much I dislike waiting, Sith. " The man said, emphasizing that last word, his voice filled with anger.

" I've done as you asked and Just as you said, my imperial handler has contacted me with the mission and taken me off the grid. Now, are you going to tell me what this is all about? " Zan asked.

" You know only what I need you to know. Appropriate a ship and get to Coruscant. Do as you were ordered, report movements of the Jedi. If you see a chance to take one out or capture one, do it.  " The man said as he reached into his duster and moved to hand Zan a communicator. " Use this only for emergencies. "

" I'm liking the sound of this mission more and more. "
Zan said as he took the communicator.

" The woman you spoke with, Zendrah, fill her in on the details. If something were to happen to you, she is next in line to continue the mission. " The man said as turned and started to walk away. " I'm watching, Sith....remember that. "

There it was again, Zan could sense pure rage when the man spoke the word Sith. Something was off about him which he couldn't quite pin point. He had already attempted to learn more about the man, but had failed. He had gone as far to get imperial intelligence involved, but there was no record of the man. All he knew for sure was that he was Echani, very good at disappearing, and had given him missions in the past that had turned out very well. Zan put the comm away and made his way back into the main bar. He " eyed "  where Zendrah was sitting, getting her attention for a moment and nodding towards one of the back rooms as he made his way to the previous one he was in earlier. He moved to a table that was in the corner and faced the double doors he had just walked through.

"That, my friend, is a simple down payment out of my personal treasury." she said, "Yours only if you join our little band. If Zan can't afford your rate then I'll pay it, but, then you work for me and only me. That said if you like I'll pay you twenty-five thousand. The diamonds now, the rest after Zan fills us in on the rest of the details, plus one hundred for each Jedi."

The woman noticed Zan's return easily as he seemed to be trying to get her attention. Zendrah nodded in acknowledgement.

"It seems Zan, needs me." Zendrah said pocketing the diamonds, "Take some time to think about my offer. I'll be back after I've finished with Zan. I still want to talk to you about my other offer."

Zendrah stood and made her way toward the back room where Zan had entered. She moved quickly yet gracefully to Zan's table.

"You need something?" she asked.

Zan nodded. " I've just spoken to my primary contact. We are to leave as soon as possible. Coruscant is our location. We are to track Jedi movements. If we see an opportunity to kill or capture a Jedi, we are to take it. " He said.

" We will be easily spotted, so we may need to hire some more mercenaries who can move around easily once we arrive. Eyes and ears will be priority number one. We may even want to split up into two teams. One that arrives first, to setup a black site upon the rest of the teams arrival. " He said, unfolding his arms and reaching for the communicator he had just received.

" If things go south, we will use this to call in our reinforcements. " He said as he put it down on the table between them. " You take it. "

" While I did not confirm our primary objective....I believe we are to attempt to destabilize the Treaty. " Zan said.

Yrroc smiled as the woman laughed, waiting for her response. His brow raised as she made her counter offer, stating that the diamonds were merely a down payment.

Deep pockets, indeed. he thought as she told him what she was willing to pay. Before he could respond, her attention drifted to what he assumed was her associate. She quickly excused herself, telling him to think it over and that she may have even more work for him.

Yrroc smiled as he continued to enjoy his drink. Well pretty lady, you’re about to make me very rich..

:: Sola Navin, Human Sith Sorceress.
Sola's table, Main bar, Samick's Luck Cantina. ::

Sola looked down at the card, confirming what she already knew. "I already know who you are, Cipher, we've worked together before. I never forget a face. And I'm not surprised you remember me either, I'm adorable and unforgettable." Sola grinned. "You're hair is thinning quite a bit since we last saw each other, however."

Sola poured a drink from the bottle the Cipher Agent brought with him. She took a small sip and tried not to gag, she forgot how much she hated hard liquor. "As for your friends, I don't believe they're genuine."

Sola took another sip, this time she gagged and spit it out. "Yuck, how can you drink such a vile substance? Surely you don't actually enjoy it!?"

:: Hunter Travis, Human Imperial Cipher Agent
Sola’s table, Main bar, Samick’s Luck Casino::

Hunter smiled, “This," he said as he lifted his glass, "this is garbage, but a good bourbon well there are few things in the Galaxy that are better. As for my hair it comes and it goes, for now it’s thinner next assignment who knows I may go for the bald top and the pony tail.”

“Of course hair styles and alcohols are all a matter of taste and preferences, everyone will have their own opinion, and everyone should be free to have them.” Hunter paused and took a small drink, “Now what best serves the Empire, well that is up to the Emperor and the Dark Council.”

After scanning the room slowly Hunter took a deep breath, “So what makes you doubt my new found friends, don’t you Sith have a special bond of trust.” Hunter tried somewhat unsuccessfully not to laugh at his statement.

Sola grinned a bit. "I truly hope that isn't your chosen style for the next mission, otherwise you can count me out." Sola thought about taking a drink of the vile substance in front of her, but wasn't in the mood. "I can't say I've ever had anything I like that wasn't ale or wine. Even those are iffy. As for us Sith, let's just say it's quite a bit different on the inside than it would appear from the outside."

Sola gulped, she might be divulging too much, but she didn't really care. "I've always been more of an outcast among The Order, anyhow. I serve the Empire, sure, but my morality is a bit more gray than anything." Sola rolled her eyes, "Plus, you know, the Sith tend to have a welcoming and tolerant disposition and all" she said sarcastically.

Sola began to play with her glass, swirling the liquid back and forth. "As for your new friends, If they're going to do what I SUSPECT they are, the Dark Council will be royally miffed off. To put it lightly. Breaking the Treaty is no light offense."

Zendrah sat down mulling over what Zan had just told her.

"Capturing Jedi will complicate matters, maybe even more than traveling to the heart of the Republic." Zendrah said finally, "Some reason you want me to have the communicator?"

She was not too sure she was liking how things were beginning to play out, but she was willing to play along for the time being.

Zan stayed quiet for a very long time before answering her, beginning to doubt her commitment to breaking the treaty.

" Extracting information from the heart of the Republic is dangerous....but a priority. If your not up for the task, tell me now. This is an all in, or out mission. I must be certain of the allies I bring into the fold. As for the communicator...my contact has his ways of reaching me. He needs a second point of contact just in case something were to happen to me. We will be on Coruscant after all. Many of our fellow Sith believe the Dark Council wants the treaty to remain in place. I have been told otherwise. The Jedi will fall, it is only a matter of time. " He said.

Hunter raised an eyebrow at the mention of breaking the Treaty, “Well that seems like a foolish endeavor by my new friends, I wonder who is trying to plant that poisoned seed in their minds.” Hunter shook his head, “To break the treaty with having the Imperial Navy mobilized without having all of their Sith assets in line would be disastrous.”

Hunter paused a moment and finished emptied his glass in one long drink, “It’s always plans within plans with dealing with some of these powerful beings. Well I guess I better start executing my own plans.”

Standing up Hunter straightened his suit jacket, “Thank you for the Intel Sola.”

Zendrah looked at Zan, she felt that he was deliberately withholding information and she was not to fond of that. She looked at the communicator of a moment then back to Zan.

"I never said I wasn't up for it, Zan." Zendrah said, "Just that live Jedi complicate the job. Your contact, I want to meet this person and until I do, you can keep that communicator."

Zan scooped up the communicator and put it away. " I can respect your caution. " He said as he nodded.

" All in due time. He has a way of showing up only when he needs something. On that note, perhaps one of our new friends can help us ascertain his true identity. I've worked with the man many times, and the missions he presents have helped further my career...but this time something feels off. All I know is he is Echani, and it is very rare for us to meet in person. Normally, we communicate via a network of informants. " Zan said as he crossed his arms.
