Happy New Years.  I’m sitting this one out but good luck to everyone

I sat out the December sales mostly waiting for this one.
Now, I just need to decide what specs I want in my V5 Initiate staff

I should sit this one out....but I'm not going to. I've got several sabers in mind. One of them will become a reality.

Depending on when my financial aid return comes determines what I'll end up doing for this one... I actually was planning on getting a second savior (because reasons) once that happened, so that lines up pretty well lol

Not a Savior Staff, though that is an interesting thought. More for performance/cosplay purpose. Jar Kai with a Butcher is a pain XD Not impossible, but highly impractical.

If you used Amazon to checkout, you won't be able to do so. Normally, if you check out through them, you should.  Email customerservice@ultrasabers.com and give them your order number along with your forum name.

I think I am out of this raffle as I hold a losing record and can not afford another saber just to enter the raffle.

I nailed a graflex in my 2nd raffle last year.  Definitely happens!!!

Of those two, Malik, I'd go for the Savior.
But, then, I'm just not that big a fan of the Monarch

Random question: does anyone know if emerald controllers allow for illuminated AV switches? I was making my "wish list" savior so I can add it to my cart and order later. I need the ability to switch colors quickly on this one too, so I picked emerald, but it didn't give me the option for an illuminated AV switch. I know it's possibly to get an illuminated AV on a Savior because my current one has an illuminated AV and I wanted the second to have the same (requesting covertech on the opposite side though if possible, so I can have it facing outward from my left hip clip).

I am a first timer here and I ordered some stuff to be able to get into the raffle. Is it normal for US to hold the order until after the raffle has ended to see if I win anything? Im excited to get my first real saber!

Yes they do, they have quite a few accent LED joints on the board that you can either solder them to if you're doing it yourself or order the saber with the illuminated AV

I usually use paypal myself. The trick is, don’t click PP right away. Go to the checkout page as if you were going to use a credit card and the window to put your info will be on that page. And at the bottom, there’s still an option to use eith PP or a credit card. I had the same problem looking for a window my first raffle. I just played around and  discovered how to do it :)

That's what I thought! No idea why it wasn't showing up as an option. I might just have to make a note and do a requisition charge. It would look really weird to have one illuminated and one not. I got confirmation today that my return is coming in 48-72 hours, so looks like this raffle is a go (I was planning on the second savior anyway, but it makes the timing better lol)

jldavi, I have a Spectre. It is easily one of my favorites if not THE FAVORITE.  I can tell you that if you do get it, you will not regret.  I know double brood guards would be awesome. You can always get a second one. But the SPECTRE.....you've just got to hold it to really understand how nice it is.

I'm curious about this as well.  My order is on day 10 of processing.  It's a pretty busy time for US so things might take a bit longer.

It's pretty standard for them to hold orders until after the prizes have been drawn. That way, they can ship orders and prizes together. It saves them money.

Last raffle, I ordered day 1 of the raffle and my order shipped a couple days later with tracking, as usual. I won a prize and, when they shipped that, I never got a shipping notification. It just appeared on my doorstep one day. So, that's at least one advantage to waiting. At least, if you win a prize, you'll get a tracking number for your package.

Cool thanks.  I figured that's what they were doing.  Makes sense to do it that way especially since orders qualifying for the raffle will get free shipping too and they'll be eating all that shipping cost.  Got a baby due within the next 2 weeks and was hoping to swing around my new Chosen One a bit before then so it doesn't wake him/her up hehe.  Even knowing this in hindsight, I still order it.

Took the plunge and ordered the Spectre in Sunrider's destiny.  ;D ;D When I saw I could use paypal credit (six months no interest, so can be split up into more manageable amounts of money) I couldn't resist. I think this may be my last one for a while though, I've racked up 9 sabers in less than six months  :o.

Only 9!?! JK :) I started about 5 1/2 months ago and my current tally is 6. I also need to take a little break to get through the lean winter months and catch up from Christmas.

Entering tonight, myself! Emerald Savior for the left side, default color probably sentinel yellow. Deciding as I go through checkout. It's still not offering the illuminated AV option so I'm going to have to contact customer service for a requisition charge...

So apparently the issue was that I wasn't logged in? Once I logged into my account, the illuminated option was there. Weird... Requested covertech on the opposite side. This shall be my left savior!

Ended up with two entries. I'm also doing a "make-do" Bastila staff for an upcoming cosplay with two sentinel yellow stunt catalysts and a flush coupler. Got it with 24s to check size and for practicality, but I might change to 32s later since her staff is quite long in game...

Lady  R, sounds cool. I'd love to see the finished product.  I'm thinking about a Dominix LE v4 staff with 24s in consular green. I think I might add an extension, as I  want a longer version. What do you think?

I'll def post pics once it's here (not likely to ship until the 23rd, so given normal ship times, around Friday or Saturday I presume). Not sure what to tell you in terms of the staff, honestly. I'm just beginning to learn to use them myself. Dominix are pretty long already though, so it would be like a pike staff if you added the extension.

I tend to cut 32s down to 28 for staff work.
24s are just too short for me, and 32s are too long for a number of hilts

I'm also a super short person lol. It would be more for the visual if I switched to longer

I tend to use 32s, if I'm using a flush (no sound) coupler.   My "go to" staff these days is a pair of initiates/apprentice types put together, so the base hilt is pretty short and the 32s work well.  If I use a vented coupler it can get a little more problematic, but just about everyone I tend to spar with uses 24" staff blades and I am tall enough to pull of the 32" blades so I tend to stick with them.   You'd be amazed how much of an advantage those extra 8" can be in a duel.  :-)

Oh I bet! In dueling reach is life! lol. I don't intend to use it for dueling, but if I switch it would be for visual since this one is strictly for costuming

Ha, since I'm the one who asked that in the thread: I didn't end up winning anything on either of my entries and they both shipped in advance, however others have won and had their stuff shipped out before the raffle so I doubt that has anything to do with it. As Rapine said, they likely just needed to make space.
