So for a while now, I have been making custom holocrons and offering them in limited runs. I was not sure that I could list them here, but I got the OK from Ultra to do so today.

First a bit of history. I started making these because I have always been intrigued by the concept of holocrons. They have a deep history, in Legends especially, but no more than a few designs are ever kicking around. In SWU though, just about all the Sith and Jedi Masters use them to pass down their wisdom, and the construction calls upon each to be unique and have a design representative of the maker. When I started cosplaying Revan and Nihilus, it was imperative that I have one for each. Since a lot of the designs out there were a lot more multipurpose, I designed my own. Why not make them available to others as well? What started as 2 designs in a limited run has turned into more than 10 designs to day split over 4 completed runs. Each holocron is designed to go with a specific master (with a couple of exceptions that are just for fun). Where there was source material, I tried to draw from it, where there was not, I tried to go with iconography that was recognizable. I am happy to be able to share them here with you.

I will use this thread to post designs, let people know when runs will happen, provide ordering instructions, and occasionally hold contests for discounts or other things. I hope you enjoy them as I much as I enjoy making them.

The Jedi Holocron V4

The standard Jedi holocron has had a bit of work done. The new design features the abbreviated jedi code in aurebesh around the outside and a new two toned panel. The outer panel may be ordered in any color. Non translucent colors will partly block the light making it primarily shine through the center aperture. Translucent colors will blend with the main panel. For reference, the two in the main image are glow in the dark green on glow in the dark blue and purple on red. The jedi holocron can be ordered without the two tone panel for $5 less than the listed price.

The Mortis Cube

Concieved by Richard Gragorace, inspired by the designs on the Mortis painting in Rebels, which were inspired by the Mortis gods in Clone Wars, this is a perfect Holocron for a Mortis Ahsoka. Used correctly, I see no reason it could not unlock a world between worlds. Featuring the hands of the Father, the Son, and the Daughter, the symbols for light and dark, a symbol for force unity, and the fulcrum sigil, this is the only holocron design to have all different sides. Each one comes with painted accents to bring out the subtleties of the print. Accent paint is available in Gold, Silver, and Copper.

The Cube of Metatron

A crossover cube, this cube is based on the Cube of Metatron as seen in sacred geometry. It's frames sport a 3D concept of a cube with a circle around each of the vertices, represented as a 2D figure, rendered into a 3D holocron. That makes it a truly meta cube...(see what I did there).

The Holocron of Heresies

The holocron of Darth Andeddu, this holocron held the sith lord's lightsaber crystal as well as the knowledge of how to cheat death by transferring one's spirit to another body. The most recognized of all holocron designs, this is my current version of the holocron I offered in the first three runs. The ancient Sith text on the frame reads "Power, Passion, Order" being a version of the Sith code adapted for a Sith monarch.

The Holocron of Revenge

This is a new design and I think we all know who this one belongs to. Containing the secrets of the dark side and serving as a treasure trove of Sith rituals, Revan's holocron features the symbol of the revanchist, Revan's insignia (derived from the Star Forge) and a Sith star. It also features some embedded frame design that is not seen on any of the other models.

The Holocron of Hunger

The holocron of Darth Nihilus, this holocron holds the spirit of the Lord of Hunger and can impart his knowledge of how to escape death by binding one's spirit to objects (do you sense a pattern here?). Nihilus used this skill to bind his spirit to his mask and armor; what will you use it for? This holocron features a Sith Triumvirate seal and a framed circular pattern that surrounds a vortex-like circuitry design with a Sith star worked into the middle. The text in the frame reads "I am a wound in the Force, more presence than flesh, and in my wake life dies" from a statement about Darth Nihilus attributed to his apprentice Visas Marr. This holocron was offered in run #3, but has been revised a bit and is now only offered in the concave version pictured.

Holocron of the Viper

The holocron that contains the secret origins of the rule of two.This Holocron's frame is adapted from the unclear image of the Holocron of Darth Bane as seen in the Legacy Comics. The panels feature aurebesh text that reads "there must only be two, no more no less" and "Equality is a lie". The top portions features a design of two different sith stars coming together in the middle to make the emblem flanked by patters taken from Bane's signature eye designs.

Holocron of the Dragon

The Holocron of Darth Krayt, this holocron contains records of the establishment of the One Sith. The asymmetrical frame pattern is based on Krayt's organic Vong Helmet, and his mismatched eyes. The text reads "One Sith" in ancient Sith script.

The Necroholocron

The Dread Lord Cthulhu! This crossover design, in honor of the ultimate victory over death itself, features a frame in the style of the Simon Elder Sign from the Necronomicon holding in check a holocron surface covered in a tentacle pattern. We should be glad that it is there because whatever is in this holocron wants out. Atop the design is a glowing sigil of the three lobed burning eye; its purpose, as the motivation of the crawling chaos himself, remains a mystery. This design is also offered with a special exclusive crystal chamber for those brave enough to release the horror inside. This chamber features a small crucible with a glowing core surrounded by rising tentacles.

The Holocron of the Dark Knight

Need I say more about this one? This holocron offers a special crystal chamber in the form of a signal.

The Archivist Cube

Modeled after the holocron of Tionne Solusar: the supreme archivist of Luke Skywalker’s New Jedi Order. One of the few holocrons with this geometry that was not a Noetikon, Tionne's holocron contains the story of the rebirth of the jedi order and preserves vital details on jedi oral tradition and culture.

The Great Holocron

Centerpiece of the Jedi archives, the Great Holocron contains the knowledge of many masters who have added to it over time. Its crystal matrix is capable of holding an almost unlimited amount of information.

The Holocron of the Naga

Modeled after the holocron of Naga Sadow: the Sith Alchemist who took the Sith to the edge of galactic victory in the Hyperspace War. Naga Sadow was also skilled in the manipulation of lifeforms and the creation of monsters: knowledge he stored in his holocron and handed down to future sith like Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious. There was no visual reference for his holocron though it is mentioned several times, so my design features Naga Sadow's insignia on the top and a main design modeled after his most famous creation: the Sith Wyrm.

When I do the next run, I will announce it here. I have a few more designs to premier first,  but it should be around the end of March.  I also have a couple contests to do attached to those new designs. I’ll post one of those here tomorrow.

I want a Mortis Cube. And wouldn't mind a Metatron cube (that aspect of geometry is fascinating). But I need the Mortis Cube (FULCRUM!!!!!! One of my absolutely favorite additions to the SW Universe made since Disney).

I also think there is a certain member on here that would quite like to have a Dark Knight Holocron *cough*Batmike*cough*. ;D

Hey all. This is the third holocron in the guess the master series. The first two happened before I had them on here, but you can get in on the third. Bear in mind, you are competing against the other places I have this posted as well.

Once again, be the first to guess whose holocron it is supposed to be and win a substantial (around 40%) discount on one once the next run starts. There is also a second place good for a lesser discount. Everyone after that, you just get the satisfaction of knowing you were right. sorry.

If it goes a day without being guessed, I will provide addition hints. I don't think that has much of a chance of happening this time as this one is likely to get guessed quickly.

GENERAL HINT2: I have tried to be inspired by the designs where they exist rather than sticking rigidly to them and have taken some liberties. Where there was visiual reference, my design will be reminiscent enough to get the job done, where there was none, I have tried to stick to iconography or design queues characteristic of the master whose spirit you would find as the guardian of the holocron pictured.

And it has been guessed. I knew this one would go fast, and it did. A lot of you got it, but then you did have about 5 names to choose from on this one. Presenting the Holocron of shadows modeled after the holocron of the immortal Sith Emperor with too damn many names from TOR. Used by him to imprison the spirit of his father Dramath, and later used to bring about his own destruction, this holocron offers no knowledge but only torment. Reminiscent of a Noetikon in terms of geometry and design, It features textured sections on the frame as well as glowing panels. The next design will be posted soon when the prototype is finished to my satisfaction. Be on the lookout.

I have seen that image. The picture they use is from the old republic game. They just had a standard Noetikon design with info on Darth Nihilus. In the comics, his holocron is a tetrahedron. The design on it was not clear, but this one was my take.

What are some of his names? I don't know TOR, but I've heard of some of the characters, so some of his more common names would be appreciated of you would be so kind. :)

Valkorion, Vitiate, Tenebrae. One’s the host body name, one is the given name, and one is the sith name. I based the name of the holocron off his sith name. Tenebrae means darkness or shadow in Latin.

So without further ado, the third holocron design in the contest. This one features a new geometry for me. All of my other sith designs have been tetrahedrons, this one is a pyramid with a square base. That makes it wider and flatter, but still visually consistent with some of what you see in SWU.

And once again it has been guessed. This one seemed a bit trickier for you all, but you got there in the end. Until I gave that clue, I was not aware of how may 12s there were. Presenting the Holocron of progenitor modeled after the holocron of Xoxaan: one of the 12 exiled dark Jedi who became the first Sith Lords. Marchioness of the Black Legion during the Hundred Year Darkness, Xoxaan was noted a noted healer and recorded her skills in her holocron. Later found by A'Sharad Hett, its knowledge would teach him of the dark side and lead him as Darth Krayt to form the One Sith. Patterned after the visual reference material, this holocron features a new geometry: a 4 sided pyramid with a square base. You may see this geometry pop up in future designs, but as of now, it is the only one. The next design will be posted tomorrow; it will be a jedi design and the second to last new design in the contest. Be on the lookout.

EXCEPTION: The master of this specific cube is pretty obscure, so I will also accept the owner as a correct answer. If you can find one though, you can probably find the other.

And once again it has been guessed. I figured this one would be fairly obvious even though it is a bit stylized.  Going by how quickly it was guessed, you all seem to agree. Presenting the Rebel Cube modeled after the holocron of Depa Billaba, which was given by her to her padawan Kanan Jarrus/ Caleb Dume. It was later passed to his apprentice Ezra, who used it to train before it was damaged in an attempt by him and Darth Maul to combine a Jedi and a Sith Holocron. This is one of only a couple new canon holocrons. In an elaboration on the visual reference material, this holocron features a level of detail I have not offered before on the Jedi models. It is made of 19 layered pieces of different levels of translucency. It also features a removable top to expose the crystal and new crystal harness. I am rather fond of how this one turned out and I hope you all are as well. The next design will be posted in a few days and will be the last new design in the contest. Be on the lookout.

GUESS THE MASTER CONTEST: FINAL ROUND

Hey all. This is the sixth and final holocron in the guess the master series. This time another new geometry for a Sith design. This one took a while to work out.

Once again, be the first to guess whose holocron it is supposed to be and win a substantial (around 40%) discount on one once the next run starts. There is also a second place good for a lesser discount. Everyone after that, you just get the satisfaction of knowing you were right. sorry. Keep it to one guess per person per day please.

If it goes a day without being guessed, I will provide addition hints. That may or may not happen with this one.
Once again, the general hints.

GENERAL HINT 1: Only masters can make holocrons, so the right answer will ALWAYS BE A MASTER.

GENERAL HINT2: I have tried to be inspired by the designs where they exist rather than sticking rigidly to them and have taken some liberties. Where there was visual reference, my design will be reminiscent enough to get the job done, where there was none, I have tried to stick to iconography or design queues characteristic of the master whose spirit you would find as the guardian of the holocron pictured.

So without further ado, the final holocron design in the contest. This one features a 9 sided design, made of an octahedron with a flattened base.

And once again it has been guessed. Presenting the Holocron of the Mastermind modeled after the holocron of The Matsermind, based on the holocron of Darth Sidious as it was portreyed with the Book of the Sith. Though Sidious owned both the Naga Sadow holocron and the Telos holocron (in the latter of which he was even installed as one of the many gatekeepers), there is no direct mention of him making one. Owing to the design and contents though, I have to believe that the odd flat pyramid one that came with The Book of the Sith was supposed to be his, so I used it as the inspiration for this design. Lets face it, even though he thought he was going to live forever, he would have been much to vane to not make a holocron touting his achievements down through time just in case.This holocron features a new geometry consisting of an octahedron with a flat base, for a wide appearance. It also features a graphic based on Darth Sidious's signature at the top.  It will be available in standard and deluxe sizes.

So that is it folks; the last holocron in the guess the master series. I have a couple more designs to release, but they will be more generic stock options. At this point it is time to set to work in earnest on the Etsy page that I will use for the next and future runs. Those of you winners holding coupons, that will be the best way to use them. So the time has come. I have been working on designs and loading up listings, but the Etsy shop is finally ready for launch. It is still going to need some fine tuning as I work out the kinks, but it is operational. I have 23 different designs on there, as well as a listing for the deluxe options and a grab bag. That's right, a holocron grab bag! I have been busy since the fourth run. I still intend to do customs and commissions on Facebook, but this looks like a decent way to give people a more user friendly way to look at, price, and order the production models. Since there is some upkeep associated wit Etsy, and I don't know if the demand is there, I will leave this up for at least 2 months, before I reevaluate. Let me know if anyone has ant questions or if you notice anything confusing on there that I need to fix.

Yep. Each one has a light crystal, chosen from one of 4 designs. I limited the RGB option to the deluxe models this time though.

My Holocron of Shadows came in today.
Looks VERY good, and is just the right size for how I picture them.
Light effect is a very subtle glow, not overly bright
I'll post up a review later after I do a couple of things that are calling to me about it

Had to. It had actually popped out of its holder during shipping and was rattling inside the holocron

I liked the look of the crystal piece, but not enough to include it in the video

Some modifications to consider: a USB port that can charge the crystal and also works as storage (maybe with an SD card or something). That way, it would really hold data! Not sure how realistic that is. I might order one and try to do it myself.

I have thought of it, but the cost of those is pretty high. I have a feeling it would price a bunch of people out. I have only been able to find rechargeable RGB LEDs in packs of 12 with one remote for around $50. The good news is, there is a lot of room inside these for a home brew solution and the clip that holds the crystal in is the same size as a standard tealight smart light. If I can ever find what those people who make the 3D moon lamps use for an LED, I would be all about trying to incorporate it, but danged if I have been able to figure it out.

Hey all. I really appreciate the interest you guys have been showing in my holocrons. In fact, you guys have been keeping me so busy, that when I had one of my printers go down today, I had to put the shop on vacation mode to keep up with the orders I already have. Not to worry, I am still printing orders, just not at full capacity, and I have a replacement printer or two on order. I will be back up and running as soon as I can fill a few of the orders in my queue. To those of you who have ordered, I should still be able to meet all of the shipping estimates you received without a problem. I just didn't want the new ones to pile up faster than I could work through the list. Thanks all for all the interest and for appreciating my designs. Feel free to still pick my brain on customs and the like and I promise I will be back up and going soon with a couple new designs even.

The shop is back open! And new designs! According to Facebook, it was 1 year ago today I printed my first holocron. Pretty easy to do. Stack two of the pyramid holocrons on top of each other. Because it has no bottom, you could not put a light access on the outside, so you would have to separate them to turn them on and off.

  Excellent work, though inspiring such covetous envy, greed, and desire is an added bonus. Now the most repeated and important question reemerges... is your store currently open? I know I could check the link myself, but just posting a new post may stir up some excitement and new business as well. You make me think back to my pokemon catching days when I just had to "catch them all". To me all worthy Sith holocrons are must haves, but 4-5 off the list are essential. (*Spoiler Alert if ignorant of Sith Line of Descent) Vitiate "the Eternal Emperor", his plaything and tool Darth Revan, one of Revan's mentor's Darth Traya, her apprentice Darth Nilius (though why he'd care to pass on his knowledge is beyond me, since he is one of the least corporeal, sane, or "human" Sith Lords by the end. Having mastered Vitiate's technique that drove him insane too), Darth Andeddu another "immortal" who influenced Bane's path, Darth Bane arguable Sithari, originator and first to break the Rule of Two, and Darth Sidious one of the most accomplished yet foolish Sith of all time (like being the greatest failure and embodiment of Sith desire/self destruction simultaneously).  Dang, guess that's 7 but some of the most successful and influential Sith in the history books.Oops forgot to add the Dark Jedi Naga Sadow to my must have wish list... Gotta hoard all that wisdom for myself, with your help. I'm soooo ready to order!  Also, unless I'm mistaken no Belia Darzu holocron yet? Nor one for Plageus the Wise?

Shop is indeed open, though I got slammed with holiday orders so a lot is out of stock. I do indeed have a Darzu model. I have a Plageus as well, but that one is limited runs of ready to ship at the moment. I have not released that design to the shop as it is more difficult and too many orders would overrun my productions capabilities. Plagueis was the last one I needed to offer to have an unbroken line of Sith Knowledge.

I'll have to check it out, broke as it gets but I will beg, borrow, or steal to accomplish my goals at this point. Screw it, I will find a way. Guess that makes Plagueis the first priority.
