Great topic and pictures!  I was slow to jump on the Pop! wagon, as I tend to be a little obsessive about my collections and need to choose carefully what I decide to pursue.  I think it was Ready Player One that started it all... my favorite book of the last decade (and a decent movie) and not really anything cooler from the franchise to collect.

Looks like all you need is the Jade Sixer. I've got the High 5, I-R0k, and the Iron Giant.

Yes, I am in the market for a jade sixer. I use this site to keep track of all the exclusives and variants, so I have seen that Ghost. I have quite a ways to go before the GOT set will be even close to complete.

You should see my list. I have over 900 from a variety of sites, ranging in interest from "passing fancy" to "I will burn the world down to own it."

The only ones I REALLY want, to the point I'd collect, are the NHL ones.... sadly hard to find here, and I broke. I think they're more of a Canadian thing, though I have seen a few in stores here. I found the Henrik Ludqvist and would have bought it, except I didn't have any money. I've seen a few Connor McDavid and a Carey Price or two as well.

I like your Skeletor, I used to have that action figure with battle damage action.

I still got mine  as well as the modern action figure

I just have the older regular Skeletor still not sure what happened to the battle damage one.  I'm missing the rams head staff though.  Been thinking of buying one of the more modern versions but never see them in stores.  Just got the little megabloks one recently though.

The Modern Ones were never in stores.  They were only for sale through the Mattel website until a few years ago when Mattel handed them off to a smaller company called Super 7.  You can find some of the older side characters at Game Stop or Think Geek now.... but best bet is the Super 7 site or this one.

I'm going to go ahead and hate on you because half of these are on my hit list and difficult to acquire.....economically.

Man, just wasted a half hour on the HBO website trying to get the Exclusive Metallic Night King on Throne that went on sale at noon EST, only to have the site keep crashing until eventually when it finally let me check out at 12:20, I got the “out of stock” message. Crazy. And annoying.

All three packages were sold out in 5 minutes, I tried. I haven’t given up hope though, I have found many after market steals - most of my sizable collection is filled with items acquired far below value. It’s all about patience and luck.

Somebody saved their pennies.

They are separate. However, they are permanently in a sitting position.
GameStop had these buy one, get one 1/2 off, which helps. But yes, even limiting pop shopping to mostly just GOT can get pricey.

the chromes weren't as impressive. 3 of them are just rehashed.

I've only been excited about 1 set of chromes, and I've already posted them.


However, they really needed to finish off the stone color wheel with these. I'd have chased these. And I actually had to chase the Thanos because the Wal-Mart Purple didn't match the other 5. WTF? Plus the exclusive had a way better finish.

well, to make it less impressive...the force choke vader that was a game stop exclusive, that they made blue chrome at celebration, and gold chrome for the shared exclusive...will also be a target May 4th exclusive in red chrome.

Yeah. Target is currently on my short list. They got the hold over LEGO Vader busts, and made them exclusive to Red Card holders. What the idiots forgot to set up was one per customer. They were gone within hours. >:(

Target does that quite a lot with collectibles. 

It really pissed us off because that bust was the only thing Kath was after. By the time we found out about Target, it was already all over.

Also the growing number of scalpers who buy these up with the intention of selling them at ridiculous  prices.  If you see me buying more than 2 of a collectible....they're going to be gifts.

comical part of that is the gold chromes are so abundant that those flippers can't break even on them.  karma I'd say.

The focus of the collection is on my Sideshow figures, but there are three additional POP! shelves mounted up high on the opposite wall, guitars mounted on other walls, a central computer desk/audio/video hub, sabers, etc.

This makes me want to collect these. Awesome display.

Agreed! I love to see collectors as obsessed as myself!  The lighting on the shelves looks great.  I have the same ikea computer desk in my game room.  Great set-up.  Thanks for sharing. 

I wish they would add characters they haven't done yet instead of adding the 6th and 7th yoda figure.

I lined them up as close to the order on the gauntlet as the formation would allow.

Oh I see, I was looking at it from a color perspective, right side is red diminishing to increasing yellow.  So I wanted left side to be red diminishing to increasing yellow too (purple then blue, then green).  But now I see the logic of following the gauntlet and all is well.  8)

Trust me, I've been obsessed with chromatic organization from a very young age. I had a thing for rainbows as a child.

Funny how brains work.  I needed Roy G Biv (Had to name the colors on a test) but I dedicated to memory the entire history and He-Man, Thundercats, Superman, Lord of the Rings (before the films) etc.  Source of contention for my teachers.  Of course that's why I am where I am now...stuck in a job I hate :P

WOW! ROTJ was mine. Slept through half of it, but I was 2. I never got to see it in theater until 2 weekends ago. AWESOME.

Nice. I'll caution, the chrome ones aren't really that neat. They just have "exclusivity" branded to them so the price can be jacked up. I actually prefer to see the intended paint jobs.

More like looking for spare munnies to buy. I have a rather extensive spread sheet of the more than 1400 POPs me and my woman want, where to get them, and how much. I also included columns for a 15% Con markup. (Gives me ground to haggle when at cons.)

Then don’t use the Imgur app... use the Tapatalk app to browse this forum, and you can post pics directly from your phone to the board (one at a time in the free version, but it will allow multiple per post; you just have to go find each one on your phone’s photo library separately).  The Tapatalk app is free (but ad-supported), and it works just fine and dandy with this forum.

I’m using Tapatalk as well. It keeps me more connected; otherwise I’d probably not check in nearly as often using a browser on desktop.

I thought the same as soon as I saw Revan in that mix, and of course they re-used the same costume and all from Legends. Kind of a wonky way to reintroduce him back into Canon though if this is the case, even if it is just in visual image form.

You don't get it. The absolute easiest way to do it is to just bring them back exactly as they were.

As far as I know, Revan's time period hasn't been ventured into in the Disney canon. And TFU could easily still get nestled right before the story of SWR. These could easily be brought back.

Oh yeah it would totally be easiest, but of all the ways for Revan to finally enter into Canon (besides his name being used as a trooper legion in a book) I'd think coming out as a POP seems kind of anti-climatic.

I think this is a tease. They are the classic images.

Revan has had so much hinted at in the Disney era.... Malachor V, His name on the Legion, his official Black Series Lightsaber, and he has had Two Black Series Figures released.  For all Intents and Purposes.....Revan is Canon.  It just may not be Revan as we know him..... and I preorderd that Revan quick fast and in a hurry.   Now my little excitement.  I just donated to a kickstarter that is going to get me a one of a kind PoP signed by Jason David Frank.

Saw the Battle Cat at Walmart. Trying to behave, but considering I had the OG He-man and Battle Cat.........that's gonna be a tall order.

Normally I'm not about the "scenes", but that one might have to get dropped into the budget.

not sure Logos. they have improved their molding process for sure. the thing I don't like about the movie moment is the X-wing looks more like the mini fig toy was slapped in there.

I think they do that as an artistic styling. It like how they do the actual figures: Everything else takes a backseat to the head. Case in point: Yoda's hut. They aren't made to scale. Yoda's head can't even fit through the door. Or also in Tepes' pic, He-man's head compared to Battle Cat's. Battle Cat was huge, but yet in the POP! set his head is smaller than He-man's even with the armored helmet (or whatever you call head armor for a beast).

Kath and I were talking about them the other night. This product line takes a lot of flack for dumb $#!% like non-photo-realism or not doing anything. The way I view them: They are small stylized sculptures of things we already love. I recently (finally) acquired the Clown Deadpool. I never noticed it, but my buddy did almost immediately: the "harlequin" of the clown suit and hat is red and grey as a nod to the X-Force image of the character. I on the other hand was excited because the original DP POP! was one of my first pieces of con merch I ever purchased, and the clown version copied the sword and gun combo only as balloon "animals". These are art. Simple, campy, and sometimes stupid, but they are collectible art.

Following a conversation Tepes and I were having about the Darth Revan and other possibilities they could market, I had a wonderful idea: An entire line of SW POPs featuring Legendary Sith Lords and Jedi Masters. I wanna see a 2-pack of Darth Bane & Zannah. Tepes and I both want to see a Darth Malgus. I know there would also be a market for the Shan girls. So I sent Funko a suggestion laying this idea out. Hopefully it will bear fruit.

I'd like to see some more unreleased as well. Luminara, Barriss, Shaak Ti, Ventress, Darth Talon, A-wing w/ pilot, Mara Jade. would be a great start.

Screw that, I want a B-Wing with pilot. ;D Just to be a pain. >:D

I'm sure if you take a close look at all the POP! Rides SW ships that they all look a bit like that.

the Luke in X-wing does look better than that...even with his big head poking out. maybe I'm biased on the concepts. just don't grab me that much.

I think's it the coloration...at least from the photo.  They should have made the X-Wing dingier and muted the colors.  I think it wouldn't have looked as "Playskool" then.

And a black canopy.

I took a look at my other SW Rides the other night. They are ALL SD. The T.I.E fighter, the snowspeeder, and the Falcon all have super deformed proportions making them look toyish. Also, this IMO is not that different from the OG X-wing.

I try to focus on what they did right: like using the draining water as the supports.

that isn't as bad. but yes, the draining water was creative. this one will be the Amazon shared one. also a 10" strormtrooper is on that list as well.

That concept series Chewie sure is... different.

Hi all,

Paint some dark coloured chevron bands on his forehead and that Concept Chewie looks very much like Zeb Orrelius, the Lasat from Rebels.

Yeah, sure wouldn't be the first time they reused something later on, but if that's truly what the concept art for Chewie originally looked like then that's a good 37 years that they had that design on file somewhere. Definitely the longest amount of time I've come across for something like that.

I have seen concept sketches by McQuarrie that make Chewie look like this Pop figure so they (Funko) did a good job. I remember reading too that there was a big issue about Chewie where certain executives wanted him to wear a loin cloth or shorts to cover himself just in case the audience thought he was naked!

Yep Zeb is straight up McQuarrie's chewie design.....it was absolutely on purpose.   Many of the design decisions in Rebels was based on McQuarrie's original art....Vader's mask and the skinny lightsabers as well.
