Let's see if that works. But took a short video of various tosses I practiced today since it was above freezing.

Today I was trying to do more than what I call the Cossack Back and Forth. Not really liking when I tried to do that isolation staff move, and there were a couple times my movements were looser than I would have liked.
That being said, I am definitely liking what I'm putting out, and am definitely open to criticisms, tips, and ideas.

Everything you are doing looks good. I will add though that you can tell 100% you are coming from using fire. I'm not any kind of real spinner so this is just going by what I see compared to others. With a saber the songs and moves are more geared towards also being able to use while fighting. Your spinning is more of just a flow thing and the way you hold the saber I don't ever rant see a grip you could use the strike with. Keep in mind in not saying anything is wrong with that it is just different. Still very good.

No offense taken. I also do stage combat as well as have martial arts experience, and I agree with you. There was not a single strike or even defense pose worthy of the name. This was all going with the flow baby.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has said hello to me (not so much here but in other threads, y'all have made me feel welcome worry not).
So I am getting a resection surgery(post-cancerous, now is the cleanup, so to speak), and shan't be posting videos for while as I heal up. I am planning on using my new sabers to get back to healthy though, so I shall eventually be posting once again.
I also posted this on the demo thread, but since this is my corner, here it goes as well

I have a few really cool moments in there, and I'm starting to be able to get my speed up, for a time.
Also posting on the flow thread.
By the by, if anyone have any comments or tips for things to add to my flow, critiques on my flow, or whatsnot, I would love to hear them as I'm always trying to get better.

Thank you, and I am planning on a night video when it gets  a wee bit warmer. We do live in Bear Country, but Black Bear Country, so not too worried.

Toothless's utter disregard for the artwork in your motion, or even the presence of your saber, is proof over and above your skill that you practice a lot... a WHOLE LOT, in his presence.

Took a break between working on a warhammer cane and a seax. Didn't take the time to clean up after the 4 yr old. That's tomorrow morning.

Very nice!! How long have you been practicing? And how long til you didn't hit yourself in the head with it on a regular basis? (I'm certain I'd knock myself out!)

Huh, I really thought I responded to this. Oh well I am now.  Well, I started martial arts as a wee laddy, then found fire spinning about 8 years ago, and just got the lightsaber this past march.
As for not hitting myself, I would suggest learning leviwand with a much smaller and lighter stick from flowarts.com They are rather cheap, and will allow for a gentler learning curve.

I think it's day 20. I don't know anymore. I know Wednesday is when it started, so I think it's day 21 of this whole social distancing thing. It's all blurring together, but today I finally got all the troubles shot in the 3d printer my wife bought and we have started to get some supplies printed for my local hospital, so woo! I'm actually doing something helpful!
Anywho, I've been practicing leg perches and kick-tosses.

I have a youtube channel where there are a few tutorials as well as instruction on converting you lightsaber into a leviwand!

Mr. Wijchen is also correct.

I meant using the force to levitate sabers lol, (I know they're strings) really f'ing cool btw
Step 1 - buy and learn how to do short-string leviwand(you can get one from flow toys, amazon, etsy for pretty cheap)
Step 2 - using the knowledge from learning leviwand, drill a hole in your saber blade just above the center of balance and add string
Step 3 - practice a crap ton
