Title: No, really...
Post by: BionicDance on May 23, 2019, 02:25:58 AM
...how long's it usually take to go from "Processing" to "Shipped"?

Not that I'm all, "C'mon, curse you...!"; I'm just a gazillion times more patient/relaxed when I know how long the wait's gonna be instead of having to guess.

If that makes sense.

Depending no how busy they are, it has typically taken about three to five days for my orders to make the transition.
Of course, that's also partly because I tend to place my orders on the weekend

Okay, that's good to know.

I placed my order Monday, which I guess is close to the weekend.
I guess, then, if things run as you describe, chances are that I'll get my saber next Friday...assuming the longest turnaround and the longest shipping time.

A bit of a wait, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks. :)

Mine took almost 4 weeks. I didn't make a couple of changes so I'm sure that was part of it. Without that I would say a couple of weeks.

I'm confused by that.

I made an order on May 3rd and I got notice that it finally finished processing and will be here Friday.  That's about 3weeks or 14-15 business days.  No weekends included. Now usually it takes way less time  (about a week to 10 days) to get the notice. But they had quite a few orders to fill. Be patient. It WILL BE worth the wait.

Patience is a weapon of the Sith. I haven't even ordered my new saber yet. Waiting to see what good deals pop up or if any cool new sabers pop up.

Oops, I meant that I did make a couple of changed.

Not sure how to edit a prior post.

I ordered my wife's Azure Savior on May 13.  Emailed Marlena about something and she noted that it would take 10-14 days to complete.

So that's 10 days ago.  Still says Processing.  It's not 14 days yet.

I figure they took in a ton of orders during the big sale, so there's a backlog.

Just gotta wait.

Marlena emailed me with that number just a few hours ago.

Stinks that I got started now, of all times, but whatchagonnado.

My first order was in December 2017, shortly after Episode VIII had left me ambivalent as a movie but put me in a Star Wars mood.  In other words, there was a rush of orders incited by a new movie release and it was also Christmas season.  It was about a month before my sabers arrived, but when I finally had them in my hands the unpleasantness of the wait was quickly forgotten.  You will be well rewarded for your patience.  As a counterpoint, I've placed a number of orders since that first and during less busy times they've shipped much faster, sometimes within a day or two.  Hang in there, it'll all be worth it!

I ordered on May 4th and it's shipping tomorrow. They have been backed up with orders and not having enough chargers. They are pushing through. Marlena is a goddess.

So...what you're saying is I've probably got another three weeks of waiting, then.

It's like being a little kid waiting for Christmas morning to open your presents...only you don't have that December 25th date to look forward to, don't know on what day that morning will fall.

That's what it's like waiting for my first saber.

Post by: Kaimod1982 on June 01, 2019, 08:53:58 PM
This is also my first saber. This is the email I received from US last Thursday. They are trying their hardest. May 4th and Christmas are their biggest order fulfillment dates.

I apologize for the delay in getting your order shipped out. We are out of stock on the 1.2A fast chargers and they were estimated to be delivered already and we just found out it will be about another week. Your name was on my list to contact today about this. To get this resolved for you I have a few options.

Wait for the Fast charger to come in next week. OR
Change to the Slow charger and we can refund or issue store credit for the $10 difference. OR
Send the order and ship out the Fast charger when they arrive next week.

It's like being a little kid waiting for Christmas morning to open your presents...only you don't have that December 25th date to look forward to, don't know on what day that morning will fall.

I chose to have them mail the charger out when they get it in. I also bought an external battery charger which I said I could use until the charger came in. Shipping is pretty quick when they ship. Shipped Friday and will arrive on Monday. I hope for the best for you.

I don't remember asking for a charger...I d'know whether that means they'll build/ship mine before those waiting for chargers or what...

It's the not-knowing that makes this more difficult, really.

I'm lookin' and, yeah, I didn't even ask for a recharge port, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I mean, yeah. Kinda. A week ago, give or take.

She said the lead time is 10 to 14 days before shipping. That was about three days after I'd placed the order.
So...it should ship any day, now, I guess.

I remember seeing when I bought my saber the fine print said 10-14 days. But I'm pretty sure they changed it to 2-3 weeks now. I just can remember where I saw it.

Title: Re: No, really...

Well, the email I got sez this:

Quote
Thank you for your purchase with Ultrasabers. Normally our lead time is 3-5 business days, but during busy times (May and Christmas) our lead time may increase due to the volume of orders coming in.

Our lead time currently is 10-14 business days to get an order fabricated and ready to ship.  We expect your order to ship within that time frame.

So...

On every saber page, there is a lead time estimate under the picture gallery.  They all currently state 2-3 weeks.  But, that is also 10-14 business days (M-F).

Just got the USPS confirmation that it'll arrive tomorrow (US is a few towns down the road from me).

Ordered on May 13
Got Completed notification on June 1.  That was 13 business days by my reckoning (20 actual days).

The Completed email included tracking which indicated the shipping label was printed and waiting for pickup.  That appears to have taken all day today.  it finally switched from Pre-Shipping to Accepted.

Now we get to stay home all day tomorrow....

Today is the 14th business day since I ordered my saber. 15th if you count the day I placed the order, but I seem to remember doing that late at night, so it might not count.

Regardless, I was told 10 to 14, so...here'z hopin' for that email sometimes in the next few hours, neh?

Title: Re: No, really...

Got our fingers crossed.

I got my Completed email on a Saturday, but counting business days including the day I ordered (and excluding Memorial day), it was 13 days.

So there's a decent chance it'll be today or tomorrow as the system bubbles the data.

the Completed email will include a tracking#

Today is 15 business days (14 for Memorial Day) since I ordered mine (actually ordered on Sunday, 5/19) and still no "completed" email.  I did contact Marlena this past Tuesday and she estimated it would be shipped by the end of the week.

Guess I must have.
Alas.

Still, if I order a second saber, at least I'll already have the first, right?
I mean, part of why I'm champing at the bit, here, is cuz I wanna join that dueling club nearby and I don't yet have the gear! A second saber would be, like, icing on the cake; much easier for the waiting.

You got your shipping notice already? What the heck... I’ve been waiting over a month for my consular and still no word! Oh well. I just ordered custom parts and grab bag blades to ease my troubled mind... got any plans for visual mods with yours?

Title: Re: No, really...
Post by: Maestro Jones on June 08, 2019, 11:25:20 PM
I ordered my Consular on May 19 and haven't received a shipping notification yet, and it is now the end of the week.  But, I realized today that I really have no idea how long it takes for a saber to arrive after being ordered.  Except for this one, all of my other sabers have been ordered during a raffle and they don't ship raffle orders until after the raffle in case you win.  I will say that it took about a week and a half to get my Diamond prize on the last raffle after it ended, and that was with some back and forth communication.  I'm about to place another order on this giveaway.  I have two diamond sabers and one stunt to order that will easily put me in the "four free sabers" category, but I kind of want to wait for shipping confirmation on this current order first.

Try contacting Marlena (Marlena@ultrasabers.com).  She will usually get back to you either that same day or the next.  If I recall, you wanted to have your recharge port on the front rather than the back, correct?  This may be the hold up.  Mine was just a standard Consular with the V4 sound card.  Nothing fancy.

Nope.  Just nope.  Not fair to tease us by saying you'll "possibly" make a video.

Also, I seem to remember a certain green muppet (no, not Kermit!) having a very famous quote related to this.

mumble mumble Do or do not.  There is no possibly. mumble mumble

... or something remarkably similar.

Okay, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to plug this thing into my computer.

Where is the USB port, and how do I get at it?

Title: Re: No, really...
Post by: Karmack on June 13, 2019, 02:13:05 PM
The controller card is usually taped to the battery pack, and there should be a mini USB or micro USB port on that card.   So you have to take the pommel off and extract the card, then find the port on the card, then plug into that with your micro-USB cable, and connect THAT to your PC.

There should be a "how to" video in the Obsidian Order / Diamond Database somewhere.   There may be a nice tutorial on the Ultrasabers website as well.  If nothing else, the promotional video often shows the sabers plugged in and how to get them connected.
