It may sound like I’m exaggerating but I assure you I am not, AND THIS PICTURE PROVES IT. Over $1000 to create this monstrosity, a ridiculous and awesome tribute to a piece of fan art by a deactivated deviantart account called schmoek. Now while the overall staff is complete, the blades I have for it are stupidly oversized at 36” apiece, and I’m thinking that I need to get 18-24 inch blades instead to make it workable, because with its current wingspan of 80” from cross blade to cross blade, the blades bring its total dimensions to 12 ft long and over 6.5 ft wide.

You'd have to have a death wish to even try to wield something like this.  That truly is insane. Point for an insane saber.

I am getting some extreme "Outlast" and "Silent Hill" vibes from this design. Could look super sick with custom made blades on the cross section

I’m not sure what you mean by custom. Just custom length or are you feeling the “other guys’” blades? Or maybe an Etsy darksaber blade?

You ever tried to swing a halberd? The problem is mostly that being aluminum, the whole thing is heavy. I really just need the right length blades for it though, and I can start training. You can wield anything awesomely with practice.

28 inch blades, possibly perfect even for something that beastly :P

my sugestion: do the silicone coating for the unstable effect on the blades…That would look super sweet and continue the feel of this build

I was thinking either "other guys" or laser cut acrylic flat blades to make a double edged sickle effect. I've made one for myself, and it's just a lot of sanding.

Yeah, this is what happens when people have too much spare money. Kudos for creativity. And it does kind of make me want to buy that pike extension I've been eyeing.

Hey just a quick update. Y’all don’t know this but I’m and OTR trucker, so I’ve been on the road for several weeks, and will probably be on the road at least another week or two, but when I get home, I should have a brand new set of smaller blades for this, and I’ll get both night and day shots of it, plus a couple with my fat ass for scale. So I just got home, and I’ve gotten at least this one picture for y’all. Can’t find my bigass collection of color disks at the moment, but once I do I can do some color variants. Interestingly, both sabers are adegan silver, but one is a diamond saber and the other is an older variant, which comparatively kinda looks yellow, lol. honestly still working on that, lol. It’s kind of a two handed weapon only, but in the way that a large polearm is as well, where if you get the momentum going, you can start using continuous arcs to spin it with one hand. I’ve no idea what it weighs yet, as i can’t find an online weight for the aeon v3 or the renegade, but the connectors and pike extensions by themselves weigh almost three pounds. Guessing the aeon weighs in similarly with the weight of the soundboard, batteries, and LED, plus polycarbonate blades x4, and the renegade probably weighs at least 4-5 lbs with the war glaive emitters. So guesstimating this at 13-15 lbs, but with9 of that at one end, it’s like swinging a battle axe. Gonna take some getting used to.

If necessary, you can remove one pike extension so it is more of a hand-axe...or a hand-halberd?

decent idea, but I made it for the range. What I might do is keep the lower blade off, and make some sort of Roman-ey/zakuul-ish shield with a notch in it so I can jab with it like a pike, and with it in the current setup, I could also spin it to create a 5 ish foot tall wall of lightsaber, (a la grevious)

That things a beast! Very sweet to see something outside of the normal saber styles.

That’s awesome man. I know that art piece you’re talking about. I’ve had the same idea for a while but couldn’t bring myself to drop the cash on it lol. It’s a cool concept for a saber though. Although in universe I would imagine the user of that would lose battles pretty quick. You look at the speed of the fights and wielding that thing isn’t going to be quick and would leave the weirder open to attack. It’s still cool looking though.

I like the idea!
Use some smaller blades on the end in make it into some sort of polearm!
Even with a small spike at the bottom end.

Unfortunately not mine, but just a picture I found online.
I had the pleasure to wield one ones though. That was great! Spike on the top was a bit shorter, but it was a real mean thing to wield. I love the (bo)staff and this really took it a step further.
