Howdy!  Just purchased myself a Raven.

I'd like to use the sounds from Gut's sword, from the Anime Beserk.  I was hoping I could pay/persuade (paysuade?) someone to make that, as I simply lack the required everything to get that working.

I might be able to help.
 I have never heard of the anime Beserk. I spent some time looking it up. At first all I could find was in Japanese.  Then I found what looks like three movies on Netflix.  I'm going to watch some of it and I'll let you know if there are an sounds that I can  record.  Is there something specific you wanted. Just sword swing and clash sounds.  Is there a specific episode I should look for?

I was really hoping you would see this post, actually. :)

Ignition and disengage would be the sound of the sword being readied and returned.  It's a touch big to refer to what he does as 'drawing' it. :)

Clash would be the solid metal 'klung' noise, and swing would be that deep, bassey sound with a sort of...whip?...noise in it.

The three movies should be enough to get what's needed, actually.

Episode 3 took a really hard turn into left field.  First it's like some weird game of thrones style show. Soft core porn and all! Then episode 3 goes nuts. Wtf?  I did not see that coming.  So f'n weird!
If I had stopped at episode 1,  I would say I loved it.
Episode 2 is ok. The fornication lasts longer then the fights. Still worth watching.

Episode 3, wtf? Are you trolling me? I'm pretty sure I just got trolled!


Any ways, I have a ton of recordings. I just need to edit, convert and then post them.

I never asked and should have. What type of saber did you get? V3, V4 or diamond?
Each one has a different size memory.  I don't want to make sounds to big in memory size for you to use. V3 is small and I would have to pay a lot of attention to the size of files.
 Diamond is big and file size doesn't really matter at all.

Some funny lines in that show. Like when he first meets Griffith,  "You can have whatever you want. My sword or my ass." It had me laughing quite a bit!

I promise, yer not wrong.  And the series ain't much saner, to say nothing of the manga. :)

But my brother Martin loves that show, and I cannot wait to show him yer review.

Sorry I have not posted anything for you yet. We had  solar power put in at my house earlier this year. This week I've had a repairman trying to figure out what's wrong with it. That includes him flipping my power off for hours at a time. No power means no computer or internet, and no sound editing.
 All week and he can't figure it out. At least he won't be back until Monday. So I should post those sounds for you tomorrow, or really late tonight!  It's on the way.

Alright, sound files have been uploaded to my shared files. The link is in my signature bar.

 A couple of things, the off sounds. The OFF sounds 1 and 2, are the exact same as the ON 1 and 2. I just reversed the sounds. He never puts his sword away.  I did find a couple of quotes that work for an off sound though!
 The clashes and swings didn't come out as good as I would have wanted. I did my best.

 I only have a Diamond saber to test the sounds on. So I made a very lazy diamond save. The colors are horrible. Here's a demo video...

I got super lazy doing the color mixing. I'm surprised you like it! Some of the sounds are good and the quotes are funny, but the colors suck. Feel free to change it up if you want.

 The character GUTS, is from the anime Berserk.

  There are 3 movies on Netflix that are a part of the same story. Episode 1 is interesting. Episode 2 is okay. I'm not into animated porn.
 Episode 3 is wack. I'm definitely not into ten minute long rape scenes, animated or not! Watch episode 3 with that big warning. Still was an interesting story. I just wish I had been warn, so I could fast forward.
It is a super weird show.
