I got my first saber today. It was a $75 mystery box. Sorry-not sorry, but there's no video. No-one cares about watching someone struggle through the bubble wrap, amiright? I got a stunt Aeon v4 in CG.

It sure is!  of my 3 Sabers its my goto for spinning.  Just perfect balance, hand feel, weight distibution, etc, etc.  My AEON L4 makes me look like a better spinner than I am. :)

Great looking saber...congrats! I don’t actually have an Aeon, but can testify to how well balanced several of the US basic line are. They do the job they were created for. I have a Liberator V3 that is so perfect it practically spins itself, and the dark apprentice needed a slightly heavier pommel, but glides so smoothly it has also become a favorite among my stunt sabers.

Hey there, Ilowarith, and nice pull with the Mystery box. The Aeon V4 is by far, my favorite UltraSaber designed saber.  You'll love it and just like most that have already mentioned, welcome to the addiction!

Congratulations on your first saber. No joke this really is an addiction. I purchased my first saber less then a year ago and I am currently up to 8 for myself and one I gave as a gift. If you are planning on outfitting one here's some recommendations for you. 1 pick your favorite style of hilt, 2 pick your favorite color. 3 if you are planning on a flash color- pick one that is different from the base color. I have a blazing red with fire orange and it almost does not show up. 4 get an A/V switch. I have both lighted and without light and they are both nice. I prefer the lighted ones myself. The Archon V2 is my most comfortable and well balanced. I just go the Overlord which was a saber I wanted for over 2 or 3 years that I have been looking at the website. I was on the fence and finally got it. I wish I had pulled the trigger on it years ago. Some colors look the same - Fire orange looks similar to the Sentential Yellow / Pyrestone Orange looks similar to Blazing Red. Gradian Blue is a very true blue, Artic Blue is very light, similar to Luke's in the ESB. The Archon V3 looks amazing, but is awkward to use due to the thin neck. Also when the batteries die, the saber will flicker on and off when you try to ignite it. I though I broke mine when it did this. All of mine have the basic lite sound and strangely the Graflex sounds different. The sound is incredible but it is really, really, reaalllly Loud! If you live in a townhouse or an apartment where other residents can hear it, ball up a Kleenex and put it in the pommel under the speaker. FYI - That will only work on a saber with a closed pommel.  Consider your height and length of the hilt for the size of the blade. Some colors look better with certain blades. All of mine are the white blades. Hot colors look better with the silver blade. Cool colors look better with the white blade. I hope this info helps you on your next purchase. There are about to be some crazy good deals coming up, Last years Thanksgiving / Christmas deals were off the hook.  I can't wait to see what Emory has in store for this year. So my brother and I each got lightsabers. His is without sound mine is with sound. Mine will turn on and then shut itself off after a couple seconds. I'm dissapointed because I love the saber but the sound is really bringing it down. His lightsaber is great though.

Just in case you haven't done this already... swap out the batteries with ones you know are fresh and fully-charged.
