Title: What Game Are You Currently Playing? (Non-spoiler thread)
Post by: Darth Knox on November 07, 2019, 11:11:49 PM
As the title says, this is a new thread where you can post about whatever game you are currently playing (or replaying). However, in case someone hasn't got around to playing said game, let's try and keep all posts of a non-spoiler nature ;D

I recently started playing Assassin's Creed: Origins again after stopping almost a year ago. I stopped because I got carried watching movies and stuff on tv. I soon realised when I turned it back on again that it had been so long, I had forgotten where I was in the story and all the button moves! So I started a new game from the beginning and in three days have caught back up to where I was before.

Castle Ralf, which started as commercial-ware, and then was given to the public domain.  My brother helped create it.

Anthem. Yes, it's EA on Origin, but it's simple, fast paced and stupid. If not in that, then i'm in Star Wars Battlefront II. Just waiting for Fallen Order in a week.

Forgot, I'm also halfway through Grid Autosport on my PS3. Will get back to that once I finish Assassin's Creed: Origins.

Outer Worlds. (Just barely got into this one)
Untitled Goose Game (because, why not?)

Still dip into Fallout 76, but that has become a but tired at this point and the updates aren't as exciting as they used to be.

Recently beat Link's Awakening (fantastic).

It's good, really good and a much bigger map than Origins but that one is still my favorite

I love Dark Souls, haven't played it since the first one but I love it.

Bloodborne's great although, I have yet to play the latest

Origin's great and is my favorite but I do like Odyssey. There's things borrowed from Origins and the previous versions that are now used in Odyssey as all AC games are designed

I'm really looking forward to Odyssey. One thing that surprises me is why they've never done an AC game set if feudal Japan or China. The time period is perfect and the kind if ninja/samurai/martial arts skills that could be incorporated into the AC troupes could create something joyous to behold.

Probably hard for them to create a connection to Japan, even though they've stretched the connections already.  One of the reasons I never cared for AC...too much screwing around with history. I digress,

Currently I'm getting back into Conan Exiles

Not true on Ubisoft not having a China game, they do. I’m sure they’ll have a Japan one. The connection is easy and I’m sure they’ll do it one of these day which I’ve been hoping

I stand corrected.... the connection doesn't make sense for me since the history buff in me can not reconcile the story of AC.  Wouldn't bug me so much if it wasn't for so many taking it as fact....

Sounds like your irked that some people think the history shown in the games is real. If people don't realise that the AC franchise is loosely based on actual historical events (but isn't actually real) then that's more on them.

Both China and Japan have lots of tumultuous events throughout their long history that could easily be used as a setting for an AC game.

Didn't know about this game. I'll have to check it out as I do love me an Assassin's Creed game. Plus a female protagonist is also cool to play in these games. ( Evie was arguably the better character in AC: Syndicate).

There isn't a connection in the AC games, they all stand on their own. All AC games talk place in different places in history with it's own story but doesn't alter history like you say.  It's just a game and nothing is being taken as facts, you should really play the game

They alter quite a bit.  The original game is some of the worst bit of Pseudo History I've ever seen.  As far as the connections the protagonists of each game are supposed to be members of the Assassins.... Which was a sect that existed only in the Middle East until their destruction by the Mongols.  If you don't take anything as fact..great. But I have dealt with too many who do think its more fact than not to think its a small minority.

Quite.  Its an all to common issue I have with most entertainment.  To me..its on everyone.  The creators who decided to disregard facts in place of their own ideas and bias as well as doubling down on it (The creators of AC constantly went on about how much research they did...when any neophyte historian could see they skimmed at best.)  The "make a quick buck" authors who validate Pseudo-History and the consumer for regurgitating said falsehoods with no research of their own.  History is full of amazing, ruthless and awesome people and events... embellishment is rarely needed.  I'll end this here since this is a game discussion thread though.  I did like AC: Black Flag only because it was more a pirate game with AC slapped on it than an actual AC game.

As gaming is a leisure activity not an educational lesson I have no problem with creators taking liberties with real life events. If I was so inclined, I can always go and read up on what actually happened,. Gaming (or any kind of entertainment) doesn't change what actually was. If you encounter people who have mistaken fiction for fact, that is your time to shine and put them straight on what actually happened.

Personally, I love all the AC games BECAUSE they take some liberties with real history. Having those real world settings, with some minor changes, helps me get immersed in the gameplay and story being told. And as I've said, I play games to be entertained, not to learn.

But that is just my approach and mindset and it mirrors that of a lot of other gamers I know. Maybe I'm just lucky to have only encountered people who know that games are works of fiction and not fact.

Well, I'm not sure whether it really classifies as 'game', but lately I played the visual novel 'Crystalline' a lot:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/616250/Crystalline/
(I picked it up during one of the last Steam-Sales because I like the art style.)

Maybe it's just that I'm finally old enough to appreciate the 'take a story-driven RPG, strip all "game" elements and keep only the dialog options', but I really dig the story and the character interactions, too ;D
(It might be an indicator that afterwards I bought PixelFade's new VN even though that one is early-access and only 2 of the 5 planned episodes are out yet ;) …)

So it's like a "choose your own adventure" book, but in video game format? Sounds interesting.

Well, yes and no ;) :
Yes, because you can choose your reaction to the stuff the other party members say, changing how they feel about you.
No, because the story itself is quite 'fixed', so you can influence it only to a certain degree (= slightly different endings).

If you intend to pick it up -> According to the comments I found online, it's usually part of the Steam sales.

Side note: There's another variant of called 'kinetic novel' -> Those are pure story telling without any choices.
I've got a few of those via HumbleBundle; I hope I'll find some time to try those, too ;)

The point of the game is to go back into time and find some things that occur for the league of Assassins and what they did. The first game is in the middle east but Assassin's Creed II is during the Italian Renaissance while AC II, IV, Pirates is the 18th century pirates, and Rogue are in the Colonial era which is in Northern America and Atlantic. Then you have AC III: Liberation takes place in Louisiana. AC Identity went back to the Italian Renaissance and AC Unity was the French Revolution in France. AC Chronicles is in China during the Ming Dynasty, China.  AC Syndicate is in the Victorian era in London. The other Chronicles are India and Russia which are in the Sikh Empire and October Revolution. Origins is in Ptolemaic Egypt and Odyssey is during the Poleponnesian War between Athens and Sparta.

They all occur in the countries of each war or era and aren't all in the Middle East.

Point for this. And also, I think that's where all the aforementioned research comes in. The game developers aren't looking to tell a 100% accurate historical story. But they want as much of the historical details to be correct before they take a creative spin on it for the story in the game. And it shows. Each game is massive in terms of open world and each game in the franchise really does a great job of putting you that time period while giving you interesting characters, despicable villains and a sense of adventure. Which, after  all, is why we all game (or at least that's why I do).

I take my gaming seriously,
Confirmed. I've seen photos of your gaming station! 😲😁👍🏾

As it's a side quest I would say no?🤔😕 Maybe others will disagree.

Maybe we need a time limit on when it's fine to mention anything considered a spoiler, such as, if the game is over a year old then anything mentioned that doesn't impact the story/plot reveals is fine. What do y'all think?

Naaaah... just because I haven't started a game that's been out for two or three years doesn't mean I want to have spoilers.  I suggest having a spoiler-free thread and a separate one that allows spoilers, instead.

Well, this is the non-spoiler thread. I may have made a faux paste with my earlier post, but I honestly didn't consider it a spoiler as it has no bearing on the storyline/plot. But, I can see how it may be viewed as one by others. I'll be more careful with future posts..

The first part I quoted was the part I was disagreeing with... I say, no expiration dates, because you never know what might be new to someone else.

BUT... I'm not much of a gamer, so maybe my opinion here doesn't count.  Let's hear from other folks, too.

To me, a spoiler's a spoiler considering not everyone have played the game even after its out for 3 plus years.  Something like you mentioned, I would say is technically one since there's a hidden gem within the game. I got it myself when the game first came out and did the quest to get it but I kept it to myself since like you've mentioned, you're just playing it now. If I said it, it would of ruined it for you ;)

For me a spoiler would be classed as a reveal about the story/plot. My faux pas I considered more a hidden gem. But, in order to prevent such things happening in the future, I have started a spoiler thread, where we can all feel free to discuss spoilers, hidden  gems and easter eggs to our hearts content and keep this thread spoiler free.

Played Jedi Fallen Order for 2-3 days, got to a point where I believe I have to wait.  Need for Speed Heat came out on the 8th and downloaded since I preorder but I didn't start it until I got Fallen Order down. Now, Heat is pretty interesting, different from the rest of the NFS games with a combination of Payback, Rivals, ProStreet, and Most Wanted. It's a little getting used to but if you're a NFS buff, it'll take 10 to 20 minutes. The drift mechanics is way different from it's predecessors and which is what I look forward to, making my rides go sideways...

Still playing AC: Odyssey and COD Modern Warfare 2019 though.

Installed the Dustil Restoration and Droid planet restoration mods for the first time in KotOR II, so I'm attempting to play through that now. I've been having weird graphics issues lately where the screen turns to all white and boxes, and I can still interact with everything, but not see anything. Just landed in the Telos restoration zone.

I typically don't do games based on movies but I've been eye balling Terminator Resistance which has nothing to do with any movie but everything to do with fighting Skynet and the machines in the future as a soldier of the Resistance. It's an FPS which is my forte but I have 3 games I'm currently playing so it'll be in stasis for now

While everyone is raving about Star Wars: Fallen Order, I shall be buying God of War on Friday and delving into that. Because it's currently down to £14 and I refuse to fork out £49 for Fallen Order.

I beat the story within the first 3 days since I was stuck to my room for that long playing 15 hours the first day. Have been playing NFS since then

Started God of War yesterday. The graphics are amazing and I'm really linking the gameplay. You can't just button mash through the whole thing like I did with GoW3. You need a bit of skill and patience. Plus, always great hearing Teal'cs voice.

I’ve been devouring video games lately. Since this summer, I’ve played through Spider-Man PS4 (twice!), the entire Uncharted series, The Outer Worlds, Jedi: Fallen Order, Untitled Goose Game, and Pokemon Sword. I’m currently playing Link’s Awakening, with the Switch port of Jedi Outcast waiting in the wings.

So it's like a "choose your own adventure" book, but in video game format? Sounds interesting.

Just in case: The PixelFade visual novels are on sale:
https://store.steampowered.com/search/?term=pixelfade

Quick summary:
I love Crystalline, Ethereal Enigma is nice so far, too (but Early Access with only 2 of 5 chapters available yet) and the other two VNs were just added to my Steam collection ;)

I am really loving God of War. Not only are the graphics mind-blowing (you can see the detail of the ash of the skin of Kratos), but the story is really engaging too. Loving the variety of foes to fight and areas to explore. Definitely one of my best PS4 purchases so far.

It is an instant classic for sure, the quality of the voice acting and story is second to none, the only issue i had was one particular realm which was grind central, but more than made up for by the depth of lore and variety of realms, always so cool to find a lore cabinet and hear the discussion between Kratos and Son. Lots of cool puzzles too that require some fancy axe work.

Currently playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, played through the Others in the re boot over the last year, great games, a lot of fun exploring around the cool locations.

Spider man was interesting for me, I liked it for sure, but having played the Batman Arkham series first, well it felt very similar and in some ways in game play terms that might have made it less enjoyable, but it is solid and does have a great story.

How is Sekiro, seen it has good reviews and looks cool, but not sure given the talk about its difficulty if i should try (for comparison i play tomb raider/ batman /god of war etc. games on Normal mostly but need to switch to easy for some sections as i just don't have the chance to get 'good' at a games combat)

I say give it a try. It't not mindless button mashing but actual fight engagement so you have to know when to strike and when to dodge which you normally get one to two strikes before you have to dodge or block in this game. I like it since the story line is great, it's in Japanese, the design is gorgeous, and you build tactics to fight or run around and kill in stealth.

I got in early for Mech Warrior 5: Mercenaries by Piranha games and am going thru the campaign. Taking it in small bites since my motor skills aren't as sharp as they used to be, so when I get frustrated I jump back to Jedi:Fallen order or on Anthem and do some Holiday events.

I just got a PS4 Pro after waiting 6 years. I hadn't even played one second of PS4 or XBOX ONE until I got my own, so this is all mind blowing to me. I picked up a decent little library since everything is dirt cheap now. So until I'm done checking every game out and settle on one or two to play for real, I'm technically currently playing:

Jedi:Fallen Order
Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection
Uncharted 4
Uncharted Lost Legacy
Horizon Zero Dawn
Watchdogs 2
Hitman
Deus Ex Mankind Divided
Call of Duty Modern Warfare
Shenmue III
God of War
Bloodborne
The Crew
Nioh
Wipeout Omega Collection
and Street Fighter V, which I SUCK at without a proper arcade stick.

Anyone have any thoughts on these games or what order to play them in? I'm so stoked, but a bit overwhelmed. Also if you are a fight game fan and know the difference between Sanwa Denshi and HAAP parts, do you know of a good fight stick for the PS4?

I recently (as in yesterday) finished God of War. Currently on second playthrough on new game+ and I can say it is on of the greatest games available for the PS4. Of the others you mentioned, the Uncharted series (Nathan Drake collection) is fantastic. Lost Legacy was good but a little short. Felt more like a DLC side quest than a full game. Just my opinion of course.

Of the others you mentioned, I haven't played, so am unable to comment. However, I would also recommend the Tomb Raider games and the Assassin's Creed games as they are really enjoyable too, if you like those kind of games.

New game plus? Hallelujah!!! I just passed up the latest Tomb Raider games (despite being a huge fan) because of the stellar game-play from the Uncharted series, which I've always preferred. I expected Lost legacy to be really short, but I don't expect anything but the best at this point as far as experience.
I'd rather have a short but perfect game rather than all the padding for length that most developers use.
I'm still getting the two new Tomb Raider games as well, at some point.

*EDIT*
You cant really spoil anything at this point (I don't think...) I have been thinking since I started Uncharted 4, that this is where Nathan dies.
I may just be a morbid dark person, but I fully expect them to make me cry while Drake dies. If you feel like it, PM me and let me know if you want. I'm almost certain that Drake dies at the end of this.

Been having a large backlog of games, so I decided to crack down on myself and beat all the neglected story modes of games I havent finished before getting a new one (which will probably be Kakarot in January) soooo games i'm playing right now are

-Outer Worlds (Havent started)
-Assassin's Creed: Odyssey (about 2/3 through last i checked)
-Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin (I'm one dlc and one boss away from beating it)
-Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (On the last boss - who is thoroughly curbstomping me)
-KoToR (Never actually beat the first one somehow - on the Krayt Dragon currently)
-Borderlands I (No idea where I left off)
-Borderlands III (2/3 of the way through)
-Batman Arkham City (a few hours in)
-Red Dead Redemption 2 (I have no clue how far I am, but I feel like im halfway roughly)
-Ghost Recon Breakpoint (didnt get too far but I heard they fixed a lot of the issues)
-Halo: Reach on Master Chief Collection (On second to last mission)

So yeah got a lot to do with gaming this month. When im not grinding out all this I've been playing Sea of Thieves with friends.

I just discovered DCS world (NON-steam version), free to play combat flight simulator. Starts you out with 2 crap planes but there's an (expensive) pack that unlocks some modern jets to use, with noob controls. Called Flaming Cliffs 3. I'm still trying to learn how to fly because it's a VERY accurate flight sim.

The advanced planes can be unlocked singly, but are $10 each to unlock unless you get them when there's a sale on.

I had an older flight stick from back in the early 2000's and just purchased a logitech flight throttle quadrant.

Playing Skyrim in VR. It's amazing how much my aim and swordsmanship improves when I'm actually aiming and wielding a sword instead of button mashing XD

I would love to be able to play it in VR.  I'm decent at button mashing but too many times I was like "You know I could have beaten him quicker if I could have come from Vom Tag."

Currently playing Conan: Exiles.  Only hiccup is it is defknatly meant as a group game so I'm having to tweak the setting in admin to make it a solo player game.

I’ve been playing Age of Conan and nothing else for the past few years. It’s the only game where the storyline has kept me engaged longterm (going on 10 years, almost). I also think the combat system is fantastic, tho I know some people hate it. It’s the sort of game that you either love or hate. There’s nobody who’s on the fence about it LOL.

My 11 year wedding anniversary was on Saturday and Sunday was Father's day. So I was gifted Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath.  Pretty nice gift from my six year old son! I think my wife might have assisted with the purchase.  So I've been trying to answer a boyhood question... the Terminator or Robocop... who wins the fight?

The killing point was me RPG a camper to the face and the guy got salty saying "Yeah, noob. Use an RPG like those that dont' know how to play" I was like 21/22 - 8 KD with most of them by my Amax. My wife responded "No, don't blame him for using the same shell your team mates used on us so thank them for starting it"

Thanks, man. I have lobbies where I lose too but have always say "good game" no matter what. There's just so many toxic players now, they either curse you out because they're losing or they're ego-maniacs because they won. I mute everyone but friends now since I stream anyway but even off stream, I mute them.  No need to hear all the toxicity from them.  It's a game, I like to have fun, air out my stress, and just play. Some people get so angry, it's quite funny.

Just yes, every MH title has that feel/time sink quality to me as well for sure! NPCs and other players be like "hey rookie try not to die out there" and you're like "give me (insert weapon of choice here) and watch me solo a MF different colored rare beast that's threatening your village in iron mail, you are the noobs here I'm Kratos compared to you so sit on the bench and watch!" *stores like 10 mega potions in bag and expects to get KO'ed twice and kill/cap with 30 sec left on the clock, but that's still a win.

Spiderman was also one of the most enjoyable games of that style/franchise I've played in quite some time!

BUT after watching DOTA: Dragon's Blood, I'm back to playing Fire Emblem. I realized I never finished playing through The 3 Houses, so I'm trudging through a new save file trying desperately to "get everything right" and not get anyone killed (since I'm playing classic, which includes perma death if you let people die in battle). You can play casual mode and get them back if only KO'ed but I enjoy some challenge. It's almost like a really good anime, watching characters develop and bonds form then one potentially dies tragically! Trying really hard not to fail my troops while making them each mini war gods with unique skills. All the FE games have a similar vibe but such different characters and stories that I can't help but love it.

Playing Rise here too. I hadn’t played World, so MHGU was the last MH I played. I was an SnS main there, and did some LS, but I opted for LS in Rise. I’m on Hub 7*, with one more Urgent to do. Solo play only, except one Rampage quest because I don’t consider that normal standard hunts that I do solo first. Riding monsters makes it great to see two monsters in the same area as opposed to a nightmare it was in MHGU.

As someone who pumped almost 1k hours into World, Rise plays like a mix of MHW and MHGU. Id recommend picking up World at some point, its an excellent addition to the franchise. When it launched at first there were some complains it was too easy but those dried up when Iceborne cranked up the difficulty, added a lot of "Arch-Tempered" (think Apex) monsters, Alatreon, and Fatalis.

Ive put several hundred hours into MHGU IIRC. I do see a lot of GU’s Hunter Arts making their way into Rise as silkbind moves. As for difficulty, I expect future content to make Rise more challenging as well. In GU I played solo through the G4 boss (Ahtal-Ka) and beat some G4 Hypers solo before hoping online for Fatalis and EX Deviants and whatnot. I also managed to beat all the Village 10* Advanced Marathon Quests, and man was the Hyper Fated Four + Valstrax really down to the wire. Never managed to solo an EX Deviant though. I hope Transmog returns in full. Fashion hunting is the true endgame.

I know what you mean, I hate that with a passion. I mean how could N64, and PS1 get it perfect. Then PS2 is fine, PS3 even... but NOW it's like some huge wide ranging thing? So they what, "upgraded tech" into some violently widespread issue that just "happens" to force you to keep replacing controllers if you use them regularly? Callin BS, plus it's wildly inconvenient. I game hard and get annoyed just as hard when my stuff is breaking like it's made cheaply. But certainly costs enough to be made properly...

As far as MH goes, it's just a yes. I love soloing all quests before jumping online. Like that gives major credibility on day 1, VS begging people to help you kill 2* monsters like an ultra noob. I can't count the hours I've sunk into that franchise total, but I loved it all. I'm glad it gained more widespread notoriety finally, it's a series that always delivered what it promised in theory and then some. There were few "hey, I'm just going to to fight this dragon real quick" kinds of titles that have ever gotten it SO right. Then adding underwater and other things, just amazing. And it's not just some primal "caveman" or hunting swinging a big sword thing... I've known awesome gamer girls who really enjoyed and were accomplished hunters! But yeah, the "fashion hunting" is hilarious. You're totally butchering hundreds of creatures to build the "perfect outfit" to go get your kill on some more. "Oh, I'm sorry mr Lagiacrus I need to be lightning proof, so I gotta bash your horn off and break it to get my armor. And if that drop ratio doesn't pay off, we're doing this 5 more times; so just die please." I swear I always collect a full set of every type of armor just because! And weapons, gotta try to be good with 'em all. But that LS is no joke and poison weapons ftw.

Joycon drift is awful. I bought a wireless PowerA controller that was half-off at Target (retro Mario design) for what had to be no more than $20 IIRC. Works very well, but no rumble, which is hardly a deal-breaker IMO. Runs on AA batteries, which eventually adds up, but it means you never have to charge it, so it's a trade off really.

I just beat the last currently available boss in Rise. You get a bit more freedom to add a secondary pigment to armor after that, but that's about it I think as far as fashion hunting goes. That said, nothing in the current game is THAT challenging that you need to run an optimal/meta build, so I may just opt for some fun looking sets and play around with them. Try some different armor skills or weapons.

Right now I need 1 more attack jewel and one more speed sharpening jewel to finish a build that gets to 100% affinity (40% from Narga LS, 10% from critical eye, and 50% from weakness exploit), Attack +7 (max), Quick Sheath +3 (max), Speed sharpening +3 (max), Part Breaker +1, Latent Power +1, and Windproof +1

I also want to play around with Bubbly Dance instead of Quick Sheath once/if I get a talisman for it.

Thanks!
It was pretty fun! The raid boss was funny and disappointing at the same time. Disappointing because it was just a bullet spoung that takes no thought to beat. Just lots of ammo. The funny part is that when Hemivorous reaches its final evolution, "Hemivorous the invincible".  You also get Vermivorous the invincible coming out to join the fight. Two giant bugs trying to kill you at the same time.  I was not expecting that at all. Luckily for me I always keep an Infinity pistol in my inventory, so ammo was not a concern. I beat them both on my first try. Solo, level 65 and on mayhem level 10. It took over 20 minutes but I did it.

The murder mystery part is ok. Not super exciting.

I've had the song by Strumbellas stuck in my head all day. "Guns in my head and they wont go."

I hope you have a good day Darth P.

BUT after watching DOTA: Dragon's Blood, I'm back to playing Fire Emblem. I realized I never finished playing through The 3 Houses, so I'm trudging through a new save file trying desperately to "get everything right"...

Well, I hadn't played in a while, so I overlooked something sadly... I'd compiled records (because highest tier classes are locked from view until main character is leveled adequately) and I'm hesitant to look such things up often (since spoilers pop up sporadically too). Sadly this led to a simple oversight, since this game is largely centered around character building via consistent stat building and having a "game plan" or charted class goals is a must! I failed to remember (or annotate) that Gremory Class is limited to females only!!! So, I'd been training a lil guy from pathetic into BA and virtually useless into epic skills when I hit a brick wall now. Luckily it's really early in game still, so it's fixable; and other events have left me with other options... but it is terrible since everyone was preordained to their paths. His failure will now effect another to make up for it, fill in for him, and is simply irksome since I'd envisioned him as super cool and now he'll never get there.

Additionally I was trying to be rather Sith this play through by making everyone have Dark or Black Magic, Assassins, using swords or spears (in place of lightsaber variants), and doing so to fit their natures. He was already the halfway light side moron of the bunch, now this makes it more likely he'll have to shift full light and truly be the odd one out. But part of me feels like that is rewarding his failure, so I might penalize him for his failure of being created the proper gender to suit my plans... and make him something broken or detestable. Kid loves art, peace, scenery, probably rainbows and sunshine too; so I'm thinking maybe make him a thief, then assassin, or bare knuckle brawler. He wears glasses, is timid, and religious so I'm basically ruining and disrespecting him for not fitting into my growing evil organization. Truly tragic, because last battle he held his own surrounded and in the open VS 3 heavily armored enemies with only magic to fight back. Such potential getting wasted, he'd be a TANK as a Holy Knight if I allow it but the thought is making me queasy... I hate you Ignatz, you ruined hours of planning and effort by being a boy. If I could gender bend him to suit my purpose it's safe to say idc what he'd prefer at this point!

"Hey Ignatz, weren't you a boy last week...?"    "Well yeah, but it interfered with my leader's plans so, not any more... I miss it, and would have objected, but he's kinda evil and threatened to allow me to 'fall in battle' if I kept making 'problems' so I'm doing my best. Excuse me, I'm going to cry now."

Dragon Age: Inquisition on the XBOX One. It has at least 80 hours worth of interactive single player dynamics that involve combat and decision making.

Sounds fun. And to the second part, that's just hilarious... I bet I could probably still reflexively enter the weapons cheat, health cheat, and drop a tank from the sky in GTA 3. I don't much condone horrific cheating in multiplayer, but in single player it's priceless sometimes.

I still love my Switch, it was a purchase well made. It truly doesn't disappoint me! Can't wait for that new Zelda, and I'm sure several other titles I'm forgetting about.

Just so you know, Overkill is also on PS3. On the PS3 there are a bunch of extra levels that were too much for the Wii version. A lot more adult themed levels. It is even more fun then the Wii version. You just have to get past using a clown nose gun! I hate the PS3 guns.

A point to you for excellent taste in games! Those games are the only reason I still own a Wii.
Now I want to hear "Dim sum for PaPa".

Just so you know, Overkill is also on PS3. On the PS3 there are a bunch of extra levels that were too much for the Wii version. A lot more adult themed levels. It is even more fun then the Wii version. You just have to get past using a clown nose gun! I hate the PS3 guns.

Well, as I remember it, there was room in one plastic gun to hold both Wii controllers. The Wii version came with House of the Dead 3, which I did not play. I didn't have a disc, I just downloaded them. When the PS3 was mine I played God of War and Mortal Kombat 9 on disc a lot.

COD Cold War Multiplayer, Zombies, and NFS: Heat

It's been forever since I played a NFS game, or COD/zombies... I miss the fun that both could offer for sure!

@ KaiserSosay & MercuryKungFu: Yes, just yes. I remember playing the heck out of House of the Dead! Good old Arcade version, I couldn't pass it up without playing a round or 3. Oh the quarters that thing earned from me... Probably where I 1st learned to score a headshot in all reality. Points to you gentlemen for the selection, nostalgia, and good ole fun.

You should check out NFS: Heat, it's based in Miami and a really fun game to play. I've beaten it like a dozen times and use it to drift my cars

Such a classic game and still one of my favorites to date

My arcade had the big House of the Dead machine with 2 guns.  I got the bright idea once to use both....unfortunately it worked so I would up pumping double the amount of quarters,

I totally tried that too, and you're exactly right! I'd like to do the same thing these days, and see how much better my accumulated experience plays into things. Back where I used to live there was a big refurbished arcade, geared toward adults who grew up in the arcade generations... Brilliant idea, they made all the games free to play, but served adult beverages (hence the profit margin).

Those NFS games totally taught me how to drive and drift waaaay before drivers ed or anything. They get so realistic that you can learn a thing or two playing seriously... I've gotta find and pop in one of my old game discs soon, forget a Tesla I do my own shifting and wheel work. Driving = too much fun, virtual or IRL.

Man, if I had kids they'd probably be warped from watching the games I play... Good nightmare fuel, those terrible beasts and creatures. And the violence properly unleashed upon them. MH has some great monsters to slay. Never mind, on second thought they'd probably think dad was a super hero, legend, or God from watching the nightmare creatures get slain.

Hope you have fun on your bagel run!

I... Well. Still haven't finished it. I found myself going down the romance path. and when it was done I kinda lost interest. I was a bit sad. But the universe and mechanics were great so... I went back in =)

Aw snap! Psycho...I'm hoping you don't post any more pics of MS Flight Simulator. (in the Screenshot thread)...I haven't been able to do any simming for at least a decade. None of my computers (well laptops) have been capable of running a decent FS set-up. I used to be really into it creating my own colour schemes for planes and scenery add-ons.
I had FSX Acceleration and managed to pass all the tests and missions and I own a Virtual Air Transport Licence.

That's a shame you havent been able to sim much - if you ever do get the resources together for it i'd highly recommend! But ill tone down the MSFS screenshots for now - dont wanna make anyone feel bad!

No no! That was just my sense of humour, I love screenshots like these you've posted - they give me something to look forward to when I do get a decent set-up. Then I'll hit the skies again with the the Red Arrows display team.

There's nothing worse than a plane in a hangar - virtual or real so keep 'em in the air!

I total >700 mil with all characters. How people do it is quite simple. They buy loads and loads of mystery crates and sell the rare stuff. At least that's what I did...
But yeah I've noticed recently that there is stuff I can't afford anymore. That's juste people going crazy when pricing stuff on the sale system.

Yeah been playing it myself, and not that big on spending money on it. BUT this week (until next monday) is a May the 4th 2x EXP in game and 50% off sale for collections unlocks on your cartel market items. If you've played half way regularly since the "new" 2nd Galactic Season started then the sub unlocks a LOT of Cartel Coins for levels you gained. So I'll probably spend that base $15. Worth it rn for a few K in CC, that I'll flip to unlock armor. But I guess you could use that to buy crates and sell on GTN instead.

I play on SWTOR regularly enough, so if you wanna friend me PM me here to add me. I'd be down to play alongside the people I know from here. May the fourth be with you!

Currently replaying Assassin Creed: Odyssey. When I originally played it, I was Alexios. Was left a little disappointed. But recently I felt I had judged the game a little harshly, so decided to play as Kassandra this time round. And am finding it much more enjoyable.

I'm playing this now as Kassandra.  I finished the main story and the Legacy of the First Blade, which hit me pretty hard emotionally.  I'm slowly working my way through Fates of Atlantis (no long marathon session, just finishing a mission at a time).   My first AC game was Origins and I loved it.  This one (while a little too long) is really fun and even better.  I was thinking about trying Valhalla after I finish Odyssey, but I've read that it is buggy and nor nearly as good as its two predecessors.

I'm finally getting around to "Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga".  I'm on the "Force Awakens" (went in episode order).  It's alright, but gets repetitive after awhile.  I'm not even trying to get 100% on it.  I bought "Fallen Order" when it was on pre-order, but haven't started it yet.  I'm always behind on my games.

I've owned Fallen Order since launch and I have yet to beat it.  :-[ I'm farther than I've ever been, though. I really need to just finish it. As for The Skywalker Saga, I think it gets really repetitive and I think the maps are actually too big with too much to do. They also stretched the story way out and made it to where I played it for a bit after launch and got tired of it and haven't touched it since. I prefer the older The Complete Saga version of Lego Star Wars, and the Clone Wars Lego game.

As for what I've been playing, I just started a new game of Skyrim on my PS5. I got the upgrade to that edition for free a while back and just decided to start a game. It's funny because I'm earning trophies that I had already on the PS4.

Hi All,

I used to be a racing sim fanatic (and the WWE wrestling games) but I kind of gave up gaming after my PS3 went and destroyed my disc for Grand Turismo 4 (The collector's steelbox Obsidian edition :-[)
The PS3 had that stupid vacuum disc loading system and mine failed big time.

I'll just have to settle with playing Star Wars ANH on my SEGA Game Gear (yes I'm that old I still own one of these!)

I still have a GameBoy. Granted, it's an Atomic Purple GBC that I bought to replace my original GameBoy that I bought after I got my first job, but it still counts. ;)

That's terrible about the disc. I never had a PS3 (I could afford that or the XBOX 360, and I got the 360) but I heard it had some bad design choices. I definitely love me some Gran Tourismo, though. I have GT 1-5 for the PS1 and PS2 and GT Sport and GT 7 for the PS4/PS5. (I bought 7 for the PS4, but it was only $10 to upgrade after I got a PS5) I even have a racing wheel and pedals that work for the PS5.  8)

I've been playing Starfield on the Series S. I paid $100 to get the game early and I'd say it was worth it. Yes, I know it's on Game Pass, but I don't have that because I never feel I'm getting my money's worth with Game Pass. I'm not making GOTY predictions like some people are. (I honestly don't care about that stuff) In fact, I won't even say it's the best RPG I've ever played. But, I'm having fun and that's all that matters. It feels a lot like Skyrim in space.
