Soooo...who all ordered a mystery box sometime during December? What did you get? Anything special?

As for me...I now have an Aeon LE v4 with a Guardian Blue hilt. (no sound) But it's BEAUTIFUL and quite comfortable in the hand.

Aeon's are the best! I love my v4, is the first saber I grab when I start to train.

Congrats on the Aeon LE V4 pull! That's my favorite original designed saber for it's spinning qualities and it's just a gorgeous saber

Just got home from work and had my mystery box waiting for me.  I ended up with what appears to be a Dark Sentinel LE V4 (I'm new NEW NEW to all this so I have no idea).  It came with lite sound and a red blade.  I wasn't really going into this hoping for any particular model so I'm very please with what I got.  I wanted a guardian blue blade, but since I have a black hilt, the red works perfectly.  Next time I think I'll get me a Fallen with blue!

Nice. I actually got the same saber but with a blue blade and also Lite sound a few years ago :P Standard guarded switch for mine though. Can't go wrong with either Sentinel V4 sabers though =]

I assume you are asking me?  Yes, it was a $75 mystery box and I'm really pleased.  It was a bit more because I got the stand with it, lol.  This sucker is going straight into my office at work

I love seeing the mystery box results. I am seriously thinking about getting a couple myself soon, but I'm still new enough that I gotta get my matching hilts first. Those are already being fabricated, but until they're actually in my hands I've got that bug. Might do a couple mystery boxes just to have extras to let people use to duel with. At least then they'd have options.

Very interesting comments last couple of pages, similar thought processes to my own.

Got my first US the other day. Wanted a mystery box just for the surprise of it. But HAD to have sound, dont see the point of running the risk of getting one without.

So dropped 2 hunnad on guaranteed sound.

Scored an Electrum Wind in Guardian Blue with premium sound. Pretty damn good score. Wouldnt have cosen that hilt or that colour myself, and was SUPER happy it was chosen for me.

Really cool hilt, the blues nice.

Id post photos, but have no clue how to.

Spurred me on to buy a saber that is far more my own personal style, which i have just ordered.

Now im far more ‘Sith’ than Jedi, but i also appreciate certain Jedi.

And from the Bane books i quite liked the distinctive gold blade of Valenthyne Farfalla.

So i had decided some time ago if i ordered a blade of my own it would be gold.

Then ep 9 came out and when i saw Rey ignite hers i was amazed that they had introduced it into the movies.

I am brand new to Ultra Sabers as well. Purchased a mystery box on December 31 (possibly the last order of the year). I patiently await to see what comes in the mail in a couple of weeks (or whenever it gets here). Don't know much about posting photos or unboxing, but I will try. This may be the start of an addiction ...

MB ordered on Jan. 12...so not really expecting it before mid-Feb. I’m glad to hear US got so busy it’s taking them a month to get sabers out. Not that I want to wait a month, but that’s still faster than most companies. They are the company that got me started and have always been great to deal with. And while I have heard all the usual gripes about US on other forums and even from other companies, have they stopped to realize how many new collectors US has brought into the fold with their MBs? Because of their rewards program and raffles—which makes collecting even more fun—they are the first thing people usual find when they go looking for lightsabers. And how many times have we rewatched those MB vids because it’s like watching people on Christmas morning...especially those first time buyers.

I saw a kid the other night open a Dorinian with emerald sound, and say, “Mom, this is worth a thousand dollars!” LOL! A thousand dollars can’t buy a happier kid.

Thank goodness, I'm central so I actually have a chance of staying awake  :D

VERY nice-looking pair of sabers you have there!  My first saber was/is an Aeon LE v3, but I got a stunt version with the guarded switch.  Now that I have tried both, although I appreciate the guarded switch for certain applications, I really think you’ll really enjoy the AV switch you got on yours.

Now to go watch your unboxing video!

Updated--back from watching the video and i loved it! It's great seeing folks get their first sabers and trying to act calm, cool, collected and "adult like" when all you really want to do is scream like a little kid!   I also see a guitar in the background. Watch out bc saber addiction is as bad as guitar addiction! lol

Yeah they feel great, very comfortably to hold, they look great for sparring.

Glad you liked the vid, never done one  before but I know it helps others while they wait for theirs, I myself watched a bunch while waiting. Yeah I was definitely excited hah - but it was late and I was exhausted so i didnt wanna make a big scene and wake up my roommate.
Oh man - yeah gotta watch myself or my wallet will be hurting!

Getting some color filters or the $4 set of color discs from UltraSabers can make your Adegan Silver blade pretty much any color you’d like.  Granted, making it a darker color will result in some loss of brightness, and the more intense you make the tint, the more light you will lose, but it IS an option.

Source:  I have an AS blade, the US color discs, and the LEE color filter swatch book (https://shop.leefiltersusa.com/LEE-Swatch-Books_c4.htm) (although I haven’t started using this yet).

I ordered a $75 mystery box december 27 and just got the email today it's being shipped. It should be at the fedex office on Tuesday for pickup (we tend to have a bunch of package thieves around here). I'm really excited!

I placed a non-Mystery box order on the 26th, so I've got my fingers crossed that if several Mystery box orders placed after mine it should mean that someone has at least started making my order. This Thursday will be 4 weeks, so I'm in the lead time window right now.  So excited

So first.. let me start by saying I'm super excited to get my sabers, also the colors caught me by surprise. I love these things . And I also got lunch with my mystery boxes and ended up get one with lite sound so it was definitely a score for me.

From videos that I seen I noticed they would come wrapped in brown paper to add to the mystery box feel... well mine did not... the just sent to sabers with the blades already attached. I'm not mad just was kinda hoping they were wrapped.  But I'm very happy for recieving my 2 mystery boxes. Ordered December 26. It's now January 20th..... I am a happy man !!!!

Hello everyone!  Placed my first order in December, paid extra for the mystery box with guaranteed sound.  Unfortunately, the saber I received does not have sound.  It has been a week since it arrived, Emailed Ultra sabers a few times and haven't received a response, just curious how long you folks have waited for a reply.  Ultra sabers seems like a great company and I know they are busy, just that the saber was a gift for my son and he was disappointed that it didn't have sound, if I could give him a timeline for a new one. 

We have another mystery box ordered and can't wait for it to arrive, just need to get the first order corrected :)

You're certain you ordered the $200 mb? Is that what it shows on your orders under your account?

Next, did you open the pommel and make sure there's no sound board with batteries inside of it?

Again, please forgive me if these sound like stupid questions but folks new to the hobby have made similar mistakes.

Thank you very much for the feedback.  Definitely ordered the $200 mb.  Double checked the battery, unless I am missing something, did not see a sound card - looks just like 4 batteries.  Would post a pic, but not sure if I can, do not see a button for it. 

I would suggest that is youre in the states they would have a saber back to your door within a couple of days of getting yours back to them.

I placed a non-MB order on the 17th of January. I know many of you have been waiting way longer than I have but I am so excited for my first saber to come!!  ;D

I ordered my guaranteed sound mb on the 12th so I hope mine is coming up soon!

Hello guys.

So i received my 2 sabers this weekend (1 grab stunt + 1 mystery box).

The stunt one is, i think, a red Dark Standard Issue Battle Saber v3 without "stripes". With a ultraedge heavy grade blade
The mystery one is a Catalyst but i am not sure if it's an orange or yellow (but i would say the former). The blade is ultraedge mid grade.

I am overall very pleased with them. I was just surprised by the fact that the one with the heavy blade seems more bright than the one one with the mid grade blade, but that might be due to the fact that the catalyst is kinda "open" at the beginning.

Any way they are great and provide some nice lighting in my living room.

Just a quick questionn how can one replace the batteries when they will be empty?

Ordered a MB on the 12th as well. We’re almost two weeks in, but that leaves 1-2 weeks to go. Looking forward. It will be my first new US in about a year and long overdo  :)

These are both nice scores. Neither one shows up a lot in the MB vids I’ve watched. The Dark Standard with the vertical lines (my favorite version of that hilt) does show up fairly regularly. Congrats :)

Batteries are stored in the hilt. Just unscrew the pommel and let the batterypack fall out. If it doesn't come out thanks to gravity then lightly tap the side or bottom of the hilt with your hands to help it a bit.
Depending on your setup you then replace the batteries in the batterypack, or when it's Li-ion charge them and then plance them back. Unless you have a rechargeport then all you have to do is plug in the charger ;)

Nice sabers!  Grabbing a Catalyst is a nice MB pull.  And the Standard Issue is a nice all-around saber.

ON the color - based on my own experience that looks like Fire Orange, which is a very nice color but more amber than yellow.  :-)

Beautiful sabers!  The brightness factor can also be in relation to the batteries. Fresh batts will show brighter than ones that have been partially used.  Which is your favorite? Again, NICE pulls!

Those are some good hilts Superpetros. Don't see them in MB's too often.

Starting to wish I'd ordered mystery boxes instead of a saber staff. At least then I'd have my lightsabers. Stupid me wanted a matching pair to start off with.

You'll be happy you ordered what you wanted in the long run. Won't make THAT much difference.

I would say that from an esthetic point of view i prefer the catalyst. You really have the feeling of the elegant weapon from a more civilized edge.
On the other hand the dark on with the red color feels very "dark side" plus it's quite massive from a weigth point of view, you can fell the rage when you hold it.
So for the moment i like them both equally.

Got the tracking info on 1/21 for my MB ordered on the 31st of dec! Sooooo excited can’t wait to get my first saber!

My 75 mystery box from December came today.  I received a dark catalyst with red blade and premium sound. Very happy with this.

Question: If I see dozens of Mystery Box orders that were placed after my non-MB order getting shipping notices and actually arriving, can I safely assume that my order is at least being made? Ya know since my order came first?

I think it is safe to assume that yours is being attended to, but I imagine it is much easier to grab one and put it in a mystery box than it is to fabricate and construct a custom.

Certainly understandable.  I'm just nervous because I will not be getting an shipping notice (wrong email on the invoice and I don't want to pester US to get it updated).  It brings a bit of anxiety/jealousy to people who ordered after me getting shipping confirmations. I get that MB are just a grab and ship option, but that doesn't mean they get to "skip the line" in being processed.
I'm glad so many are getting their orders, but tomorrow is my 4 week mark, so my excitement is gradually turning to anxiety.

Here’s something you aren’t going to want to hear, but I feel that it’s worth telling you, anyway... that wait time they put on the website is a best-guess estimate, not an iron-clad guarantee, so it might actually be a little longer than four weeks.  You don’t want that to happen; I don’t want that to happen, and I’m pretty sure UltraSabers doesn’t want that to happen... but it could. 

If it does, then I hope you will keep trying to be patient, and keep any follow-up emails as polite as your posts have been.  These folks at US have been slammed for months now, working ridiculous hours, trying to fulfill all the orders that have been placed, and I’d bet everyone’s starting to wear pretty thin over there.

A lesson it has taken me a LONG time to learn is that NOBODY benefits from me being rude to the customers service rep if I’m having a problem, no matter how legitimate my problem might be, or how completely THEIR fault the problem might be.  That person is in a position to help me, if I will let them.  Also, if they put forth only a minimum amount of effort in helping me, my problem can get lost in the shuffle, or can even be made worse.  It is always in my interest to treat that person with respect, and to be very careful to not lose my temper; in all likelihood, this person had nothing to do with causing my problem, and they just might know exactly how to make it better. 

I’m sorry if I’m preaching to the choir; based on the generally positive tone of your posts even when you’re expressing your anticipation/impatience/eagerness, it’s entirely possible that I am.  Hopefully, someone will read this post of mine who can and will benefit from it.

Assume this is to speed things up at US during this busy time to get the orders out.

Part of the fun is that little ceremony involved in seeing what wrapping you got, then reading/deciphering, then building and turning it on.

I received it preassembled, no brown paper. Very disappointing but ay what you gonna do.

I was going to order 3 mystery boxes to enter the giveaway but I’m not sure i want to now.
Think I may just order a sound saber of my choice to enter and wait for the mystery boxes to hopefully normalize.

Upgrades on both hilts, worth just shy of $50 over what I paid and got free shipping. Ordered 12/28 and in hand on 1/24

From what I’ve seen so far it doesn’t seem like anyone is getting hilts with guarded switches, all silver or black non illuminated, almost like they ran out of the standard ones 😂

Placed my order for 2 75$ mystery boxes on Dec 27 and it arrived on Jan 23. Was disappointed to not have the brown paper wrapping on the hills but with US getting slammed I can understand and appreciate that they are doing everything they can to get those orders filled as quickly as possible. I received a Dominix v4 green blade and a dark initiate v4 with windows in blue. Overall pleased with the quality of these sabers. I do think that my next round will include heavy blades tho

Even if they didn't run out, the AV switch seems to be t a quick way to guarantee the $75 value. Even a V2 initiate (normally $55) would value at $80 with an AV switch (+$15) and a full sized blade (+$10).
I'd be ok with that if I ever get a MB

It was a dark apprentice v4. Solid first saber and good weight. I don’t have much to compare to, but seems really bright. I like it and will order again. Love the black on green.

Soo, I just saw a 2x $75 MB unboxing and dude got one of them in the traditional brown wrap and the other came preassembled.

This is the 4th Dark App v4 i have seen unboxed in the last week. One was my brother MB. This one has me a little confused. It must of come with eh Tri Green? Other wise it's not a $75 saber... But i do love the green on black, my brother got the same. His had a Black AV switch and Windows as his upgrades. You have to have something else beside the windows to make it a MB. otherwise they screwed up. But i'm worried the more i watch they are just pulling some GB sabers to fill in the MB shipments.

Could be the blade. Standard blade on an apprentice is 24” and the mb ships with 36”, a $10 upgrade. Add the $5 windows and it’s over $75. Well worth it to get my feet wet before plunging on a full saber.

Do MBs ever come with V2 initiates anymore? If they don't, then is very easy to get to $75 as the lowest cost above V2s is $65. Just add the $10 blade length upgrade and your at $75. Adding $5 for windows or and LE version is just icing after that. Though the AV switch would be my favorite. That's the main reason I'll eventually be getting a V5 because those come standard and only cost $5 more that V4 equivalents.

In fact, V5s really are a bargain IMO. A V4 with AV switch and windows costs $15-20 more than a V5 that has those standard.  I'd only ever be happy with a V4 as a MB pull.

I have to be honest. If that's how they bumped up the price it's really silly. The improvements and value in a MB should be in the Hilt not a blade which you get to choose length of to start with. But then again they are goofy with them any ways. Charge more for a upgrade from 24" to 32" on the apprentice hilts, but no reduction on the normal hilts if you choose a 24"...not much logic to that.

So far I'm on top by $160. My first was a mystery box around November, followed by two bought for gifts in early December and two bought on December 30th that were delivered today. The two from today were shipped assembled and wrapped in bubble wrap. It wasn't as much fun for sure but still a good time gambling on what's going to show up.

Well I ordered three sabers on the 24th and have yet to see them. :( I've called once and sent three emails and no response on anything.

Yeah i havent bothered emailling them.

I figure theyre too busy making and getting work done.

May as well leave them to it.

My wife and I just got the email that our 2x $75 Mystery Boxes were shipped this morning! We ordered them on January 8th at around 9-10pm or so.

Interestingly, I had a dream last night that we received our lightsabers, but I couldn't see the hilt or blade. So, I guess the force was with me because I sensed them "moving"!

With any luck, mine should be shipped some time during the coming week. But I suppose that depends on supplies holding out :)
