Title: MORBIUS
Post by: Infinit01 on January 13, 2020, 05:30:00 PM
I wasn't keen on Jared Leto playing the Joker but playing Morbius may very well be his super hero role. Well, anti-hero

It looks good, Jared looks and appears to play the part

Looks to be pretty comic accurate.  I like that they are taking steps to tie it to the MCU with Michael Keaton's Vulture being like the Tony Stark of the Sinister 6.

So when I first heard about this, I was not in the least bit excited for it, and it didn't even intrigue me at all. After watching this trailer, I am genuinely excited for this movie. I would be even without Keaton and the "Murderer" easter eggs. But yeah, Leto looks the part for sure.

When Jared was cast for the Joker, I gave an open mind like I did for Heath, after watching a few trailers with that gangster emo look, I wasn't a fan and watching his version on the big screen didn't help either. He did good for a character in the DCEU, but that was it, not a bad actor but it just wasn't his role.

Now, when Jared was being eyed to play Morbius, I was thinking yes, he can play the role well as long as the script and the director's good.  After watching the trailer, I'm more certain that he'll do well in the Marvel Universe than he did in the DCEU

Looking at the trailer, I realized that the Joker is Batman... or Man Bat... Lol

Morbius is definitely in the same universe as Spiderman. We have Venom, Vulture, Morbius, and an intro to Scorpion... The Sinister Six are on their way

I wonder when Green Goblin is going to show up.... with Tony gone this would be the perfect time for Oscorp to come into play

In Spiderman Far from Home, the Avenger Tower was rebuilt and it's definitely no longer Tony's since Happy was part of the moving crew that moved Avengers Tower to the new location during Spiderman Homecoming. There's a lot of speculation that it's Oscorp lead by Norman Osbourne himself who bought the tower. That would be a great way to introduce the Green Gobllin into the MCU and the MCU Spidey-verse

There is also speculation that it is the Baxter Building though. Either would be good.

Don't forget about Mysterio. He ain't dead.

I haven't forgotten about him, just left him out since we don't know what he's doing either laying low or going to behave like the villain version of Nick Fury and recruit the rest of the Sinister Six
