Title: The Spectre with engravings Post by: DarthRondoudou on January 07, 2021, 11:28:11 AM This is my review of my Spectre with engravings. Ordered early July, received december, 29th.
First of all, I'm not a big fan of Kanan Jarrus. So stop Jarrusing at me... Second of all, his saber still looks awesome. And US' take on it appealed to me. Especially the version with engravings (not canon at all). The hilt features an angled activation box with silver non-illuminated AV switch, a recharge port, a D-ring, a windowed emitter. Now, here we go for the saber porn. But fits nicely in my small hands. It's comfy for one hand or two hands stance, though two hands is probably better for my hands size. It's beautiful. The engravings are awesome. The details are very nice. And the windowed emitter compliment the hilt very nicely. It's my first D-ring, and I have to admit the tinkling of the ring can be disturbing. I ordered it in Sentinel Yellow with silver FOC. But since this is an emerald saber, it's not set in stone. (Though with me it probably is) Here it is with the cousins. Glad you can love it. I might say however, it might look good with a Dorinian pommel. Less sharp corners, you know. To be fair, dorinian pommels go well with almost anything. It's really good looking overall, and I would probably appreciate the tsuba with a smaller emitter on top; since I feel in use it'd reduce it's effectiveness by "helping" the incoming blade past the "guard". But overall I do like the look a lot. I also feel you on the D-ring rattling. I've been trying to reduce rattle within my initiate to no avail yet, so I know how it can distract or frustrate when in motion.

Like Cyclops said, finances tend to dictate the acquisition rate though. My wishlist is it's own entity that shifts like sand. Just ordered my first saber, and it was one of these. Can't wait! Hopefully it'll live up to your needs/desires. It's a good looking hilt, seems pretty practical, and I'm guessing it'll be fun to own as a 1st lightsaber! Sadly my cam was unable to completely capture the colors. The blade has a nice fade from blue to violet on a heavy grade blade (with the silver film, not the UltraEdge).

Because I literally just got customer service to change my Archon v2.1 (which they told me was so backordered that they had no idea when it would be back in stock) to a Spectre with engravings that they said was in stock and ready for immediate fabrication.
